20211029 just got home from a long drive... I got the cupcakes yesterday afternoon, ate 2 hours later, and drove 2 home. About 30 hours after purchase, after dinner, I decided to eat one of the reminder cupcakes, and found the blackberry on one of the cupcakes got moldy. Recommend eating the berry cupcakes right away. Often, when berries are washed, they dont last long. I scooped the berry out, and will eat the cupcake later. Its too good to toss away, plus it was just the berry that got moldy.20211028 Wow!! I was looking for some desserts and this Cupcake boutique showed up on Google Maps. I accidentally ended up going to this location instead of their other location closer to me. Im so thankful that there were parking spaces available right in front of the store, otherwise, I would have kept going and head back to the hotel. I have my pups in the car with me. Im really happy that I did. It was great to meet the beautiful lady who turned out to be the owner. She was so nice and told me about their cupcakes and answered all my questions. I ordered the Taro, Coffee Cream, Berry Cream Pie, and Cream Brulee. The cupcakes were decorated to order. The butter cream is so yummy. I ate the Taro and I couldnt stop eating it. The butter cream was creamy and delicious, and the center if the cupcake is filled with cream. I always share my food with my pups, and one loved the buttercream. I might swing by the other location on my way home tomorrow, if I leave late enough for them to open. Oh, Good Luck, Jonathan Uzcategui!! Please support small businesses!!! Big corporations dont need us; they get their perks from some politicians, elites, deep state, etc... us commoners need to stick together and take care of each other. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Look no further for thee most delicious and beautifully decorated cupcakes! The owner is sweet as the icing on her cakes and will greet you with a big warm southern smile and answer any and all questions happily. Im a local and this is always a top spot to hit when I need to indulge my sweet tooth or bring a little some for an event. Even my pup is a fan!! 👍🧁

The Peppered Cupcake is an amazing place to pick up gourmet cupcakes locally! They even try to keep in stock a few gluten free options. My favorite is the classic vanilla cupcake with chocolate buttercream icing. One of my friends tried a gluten free cupcake here and said they are just as good if not even better than their regular cupcakes! I visit here as often as I am able. Would definitely recommend if you want to eat something sweet but slightly unique!

Youd be surprised to learn that they offer vegan cupcakes here, of which I had the avacado chocolate. It was surprisingly good, though I will admit I think it was almost entirely sugar filled. The cake part itself was moist, a treat that could be consumed all on its own.

One of my coworkers told me about it they said it was better than the bundt cake place they said it was better than somebody else so I had to give it a try so good recommended

The Peppered Cupcake was excellent! This small mom and pop store had a lot of unusual flavors to choose from... i chose the java as well as the mango chili. I have to say, the cake was amazing.... very moist with good flavor. The vanilla cake was lighter than the chocolate cake. Great flavors in the icing and not too sweet. The lady behind the counter was very nice too. I highly recommend!

The cupcakes are fantastic, cant even describe... but the atmosphere at the Front Street shop today threw me for a loop. I did not expect a monologue from the radio spewing conspiracy theories. Music would have been more appropriate. They were talking about how the UN is committing genocide and forced sterilization while a small child was present. Not cool, Peppered Cupcake.

Stopped in today for the first time. Shared a Creme Brulee and a Chocolate Revelation. Both were very tasty, but the Creme Brulee was my favorite! Limited seating inside and outside. If you are craving something sweet, check them out!

Very light cupcakes of many flavors. Somewhat questionable storage methods as there didnt appear to be refrigeration for some frostings that might need it. But they taste good and arent overly sweet or filling. Other tasty sweets are sold here.

Good selection and have not eaten the cupcake yet. But...the service was beyond rude and inappropriate. Acted annoyed when we asked about the flavors and when I asked her to please cut my cupcake into 4’s to divide it she rolled her eyes and said “it will just fall apart.” I will not be returning or using this company again nor can I recommend it to anyone when one when a paying customer is treated such as this.

This review is a bit late, but my girlfriend and I stopped in on New Years day. This is a must visit establishment along the Wilmington waterfront! The cupcakes are absolutely amazing - you can tell that these are done with love and care. I got the Hot Chocolate one and my girlfriend got a coffee flavored one (Cappuccino maybe?) - both were amazing (but mine was better :-D)! The sitting area is small but insanely cozy and welcoming. Susanne was on duty when we were there - and she was awesome! Took the time to talk to us about each cupcake, the life of the owner, and how they make everything. She was great and so was our experience!

Interesting flavors. The cupcake was good. I enjoyed the filling inside the cupcake more so than the actual cupcake. The cupcake I had tasted like the outer part was slightly starting to harden. Overall with the filling and customer service it was a nice experience....sorry I wasnt able to respond in a separate response but I had the classic chocolate vanilla cupcake. Overall I enjoyed the cupcake just the outer texture seemed it was slightly started to harden.

Super nice little gourmet cupcake shop in the heart of historic Wilmington NC. The owner/ operator was super friendly and helpful. The cupcakes were incredible best I have ever had. My wife & I found The Peppered Cupcake during our previous visit to Wilmington three years ago, & we loved it so much that it was our first stop when we got to town this year (even before The Fortunate Glass!). Noted reviews expressing concerns about the size of the cupcakes - not sure what would satisfy those individuals as these are just a bit smaller than a softball. During our three day stay, we limited ourselves to four visits, trying as many varieties as we could. Each & every one was fresh, delicious & artfully presented. The owner (Tabitha) truly enjoys what she does, & it comes through in her cupcakes. Highly recommended.

These ladies are simply amazing! The flavors are unique, interesting, and the cupcakes taste spectacular! They have a no compromises approach to baking their goodies and it shines through when you taste their little cakes of wonderfulness.

What can I say about this place? These are by far the most delectable cupcakes I have ever had the privilege of eatting. I mean WOW. The owners and staff are absolutely amazing and make the goods in house. I cannot say enough good things about these people and what they do. The only downside is that you should expect to gain 20lbs from overindulging. Other than that, top notch baked goods and staff. Great job.

Ive been in the mood for a cupcake for a couple of weeks and just wanted one. I drove by the Racine location and noticed this place for the first time in the many years I have driven through. I turned around and stopped in, Im so glad I did. The unique variety of flavors made it difficult for me to choose, needless to say I bought three different flavors. These cupcakes were amazing, they were not overly sweet. Yes, i did share! I am definitely going to make a return trip and try other flavors so long as I can stay with my workout routine so my figure doesnt suffer from these amazing cupcakes.

Im currently working for the Red Cross and received completely disrespectful behavior from the owner of the store. I called to ask about buying cupcakes for a Volunteer Celebration for those who are serving in NC as a result of Hurricane Matthew, and after interrupting multiple times to know if I was a solicitor, hung up before I could even explain the reason for my call. I understand being busy, and Im sure the cupcakes here are great, but I will never visit a place that does not give each potential customer the respect and courtesy they deserve.

These folks know cupcakes. My wife and I ventured into their shop expecting to get another average, run of the mill cupcake. What we received was four of the finest cupcakes we have ever tasted. The flavors packed into each cake are sublime, tickling fond childhood memories as they ignite the tastebuds into a dance of joy. Maybe Im getting carried away here, but not really. They are that good. We will be back, and we are bringing others with us.
