I had a front door installed with a storm door. My job was difficult due to the door threshold, but Harry and Renee did a wonderful job and made sure to keep me in the loop regarding the issues. They cleaned up nicely and were very professional.However, the door came in 3 months late. I would have liked more communication about the timeline for when the door was supposed to arrive. Joe came out for a final inspection before closing the job and reassured me that they are aware and working on making customer communication better.I will certainly recommend Homestar to friends and family and will be a repeat customer when the time comes.

This is an update to the first review I left prior to the roof installation. I have to apologize for not mentioning our salesman (Alex). He was extremely thorough and informative about the complete project details and product. Unfortunately, the color of the upgraded siding we picked had been discontinued. We all realize the issues with manufacturing during these stressful times, so we know how difficult it is to break that bad news to their customers. Once notified by Homestar (Austin was very apologetic), Alex was scheduled within 2 days to show us the color pallets. He came out with everything he had to make sure my wife and I could make the right choice.Now back to the roof. Everything was outstanding, from the scheduling to installation. The installers were awesome, and cleaned our property after the installation (fabulous job). The roof alone makes our house look 100 times better. We cant wait for the siding, gutters and trim capping to be installed. We will definitely keep you updated. Please see the before and after pics.

We had 16 windows and 1 sliding glass door replaced after 21 years with new construction, builders grade windows. Erik was our Sales Rep that took us through all the features and benefits on the windows we selected and showed us the differences and what our expectations should be. Scheduling was easy enough with aligning our schedules and Carly was very responsive to calls and questions that i had on the process and helped us easily with setting up the times times that worked with our schedules.The 2 person job took 3 days and was executed very well for we knew what to expect. Yuri and Vlad were great with the professionalism they showed while working through to completion and the attention to detail was great in seeing the overall finished job. It was easy to see they were experienced working in tandem, knew exactly what was needed to be done and showed confidence with the task at hand which was very reassuring. I would highly recommend Homestar.

The window installation was perfect. Uri and Vlad were professional, clean and efficient. The job was done in 3.5 days and we noticed a difference right away with the AC keeping the house cool. A HomeStar rep cased my neighborhood to provide free quotes for outdoor remodeling projects. One of their competitors had already been by and gave me a single hefty quote for multiple jobs (many of which I didnt ask for). Tony from HomeStar came with a no-pressure sales pitch, offered me several quotes for a few different jobs and worked within my budget to get a new roof on my house and shed that includes a 50 year warranty. The install crew were courteous and quick, finishing the install just before an evening rainstorm.HomeStar then sent another rep out to answer any questions or concerns on the work that was done and offer quotes on more jobs. They were able to tack on new gutters to my existing financing and offer a better interest rate, which lowered my monthly payments. Gutter install was quick and painless.In all, Id highly recommend this company; theyre probably not the cheapest contractor to work with but they use quality materials and offer seriously great customer service. Theyll take good care of you and your project.

Brittany was our original salesperson. She was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Loved the experience. HomeStar made sure to keep in touch during the entire process. Roof was completed in a day. Our follow up and final check up was done by Joe who was also professional and knowledgeable. The roof looks wonderful and weve decided to add gutters to the project after the great initial experience.

I am absolutely pleased with this company. I would definitely refer them to everyone that I know. They interacted with my children. They were real respectful and they even cleaned up their mess. Our experience with HomeStar started with our front door with side windows installation that was just completed last week. I couldnt be happier with the product or the people. Ive used this company to replace 12+ windows, as well as install a french door. The home office is always extremely friendly, attentive, and efficient. The people they use to install the products are also always friendly and professional.

Initial installation had a few minor issues. They responded quickly and resolved the items to our satisfaction. Lifetime warranty on materials and installation provides piece of mind. Would recommend them for this type of installation based on our experience.

A representative came by the neighborhood and wanted to give me a quote on windows and I agreed at the time. However, i changed my mind and cancelled the appointment. I have been in sales so I appreciated the first 2-3 follow-up calls and politely said I would call when ready. But after 5-6 calls, and explicitly telling the Rep. named Dan that I was not interested he just kept pushing and pushing. This is not a professional company at least when it comes to training their sales reps and handling potential customers. Bc of this experience, I will definitely NOT be using the company.

We have had gutters installed as well as a sliding glass door and some windows. The gutters have really done a great job and held up with some pretty torrential downpours. Yuri did a great job on the windows and door. The overall service was great - i would highly recommend using Homestar for your installation and repair projects.

Home Star remodeling is a true star in the remodeling business. My dealings with them have to do with replacing a 38-year-old roof. Each of the five stars I am giving represents the products and people that make Home Star the company for your roofing needs.My first star is for the quality of products they use on your roof. GAF shingles installed by Master Elite contractor. These Master Elite contractors are certified by GAF to ensure their products are correctly installed. The second star is for Rob, who came to my home for the free estimate. He was personable, informative with the presentation, and answered my many questions. Seeing this was a significant financial obligation, I appreciate the fact he wasnt pushy. The third star I met was Kevin, the project manager. He had taken the time to go over what would happen the day of installation. Once the roof was completed, he came by to inspect the work answering any questions or concerns. The crew that did the work of installation was polite, hardworking, and cleaned up all debris. These gentlemen represent the fourth star. Carly in the office makes up the fifth star. She was polite and kept in touch when supplies, dumpster, and workers would arrive for the installation.When you view my roof, it stands out as a star of the neighborhood. You can see the high quality. Now when I pull up to my house and view my roof, I think, “Dang, if that isnt one gorgeous roof. My advice is to arrange a free estimate and decide for yourself if they are the real deal.

Homestar sells quality window products and backs them up with an excellent warranty. Just had a large bay window replaced by Homestar and, due to the size, was worried about the installation. Well, it went perfectly. The installers were respectful of the property, did a great job of installing the window, and cleaned up everything at the end. They even offered to help us move the furniture back into place.

Had a great experience start to finish! We even had a small problem, the guys working on the roof covered our air condition to protect it from fallen pieces of roof but they covered it while it was still on which in turn shorted out the air conditioner. Homestar, without even a hesitation paid for repairs to our air conditioner which was amazing! I’m so thankful for that! The GAF system we had put in has cooled off our upstairs by at least 5 degrees and that has been a game changer! Would recommend again and again!

I just received a call from HomeStar Remodeling attempting to schedule another estimate (I had given them my information for an estimate but cancelled last year--if you give them your info they will call you every few months to try and reschedule). After telling the man on the phone that I was not interested in a window replacement for a couple years for personal reasons and it is not a good time to discuss this, twice I was told VERY SARCASTICALLY Well Im glad you answered the phone even though it wasnt a good time to talk and he abruptly and rudely hung up.As someone who runs a business, Im baffled at the unprofessionalism shown by this company (and in more than just this instance). I almost never leave reviews but this was just ridiculous and if even one person decided to not use this company because of my experience my work will not have been in vain.

Professional, polite, did exactly what they said they would do. Windows look like they came with the house and dont look like replacement windows. Everybody I worked with was top notch.

Started our relationship with them by telling them we wanted all of our windows and roof replaced. They agreed that the roof, skylights, windows, and window sills all needed to be done. They replace the roof first and didnt replace the skylights. When it came time to replace the windows they told us that if we replaced the skylights it would void the warranty on the roof that we had just put on with them, but then insisted that they were fine and didnt need replaced. When installing the windows they were supposed to install all new window sills telling us that they needed to be replaced and were rotting. They installed the windows but forgot to install the sills, so afterwards they insisted that they were fine and they did not to be replaced although they previously said they were rotting. ... Now we are trying to get blinds in our skylights and no company will do them because they are original to the house. Great job HomeStar, we literally went with you because you were supposed to be experts. All you did was screw up our orders and we continue to have difficulties around what you originally did at a costly amount. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Homestar previously installed a new roof on my home. They were professional then and installed the roof in a timely manner. At the time I did not have gutters done. So when a representative stopped by asking if I would like anything done. I chose to have an estimate for gutters. As I had been told I received a confirmation call regarding the estimate. I received a welcome call to Homestar followed by confirmation that the project manager would be out to confirm measurements. Shane called to confirm his arrival an hour prior to coming. He was professional and explained why it would take approximately 2 months for installation to take place. ( Thank you pandemic-for the delay!).I am pleased that I have chosen Homestar to provide service to my home once again. Everyone involved in this process has been pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. I would recommend Homestar to others.

This company was going door to door saying they are doing work in the neighborhood. I am looking to get my roof replaced so I thought it wouldnt hurt to get a free quote. I set up an appointment for a few days later. The gentleman that showed up was very knowledgeable about what to look for in the attic. The issue is that he was there for 3 hours doing a presentation and was hard to get him to leave. The quote I received was over 4 times more than 4 other contractors I had previously received. All companies I received the quote from are utilizing the same GAF shingle and services. Dont waste your time or headache on this company. You will get ripped off price wise.

Over the past few years, I have used HomeStar for several home projects. They are very knowledgeable and the quality of work is amazing. They return calls and they keep you updated on materials/date of install. Being a single woman, I have trouble trusting someone not to scam me. I have full faith in HomeStar!

It was installed, we told them we were unhappy with it. They sent out the installer who didnt help. One of the owners came out and looked at the install and AGREED IT WAS BAD!!! We just want the door removed and the money refunded to their finance company.Would NOT recommend

Last year I JUST bought my house and was heading out to an appointment when a salesperson from this company was just randomly at my door. (If I hadn’t been leaving my house I would’ve never answered the door if he knocked.) I told him I was in a hurry and couldn’t chat. He almost seemed to block me from my path and kept trying to sell me on an estimate. I obliged so I could leave since he wouldn’t take no for an answer and then called a couple days later canceling and told them I am not interested. They’ve called every week and I block every number they call from and even told them to add me to a “do not call” list. Today, I received a call from a rep who asked for me and when I asked who’s calling, he mentioned the company and asked how my day was. I told him once again to remove me from the list and he interjected to say “You scheduled the estimate.” And I replied, “Yeah almost a year ago and I also called and cancelled it.” The man then tried to say “Well your roof needs to be replaced, when are you doing it?” I disconnected the call because his tone was unapologetic and you could tell he didn’t care about his prospective customer’s concerns or disinterest. I’m so tired of being harassed by this company and even if I were to replace my roof, I would never use this rude and aggressive company.

HomeStar replaced 12 windows at my house including a huge 1/2 round foyer window. The process was very easy & the installation crew was terrific. Worked non-stop on both days until the job was created. I watched every step of the process & so far, could not be happier.

So far, our experience with Homestar remolding has been AWESOME! Weve gone through two pre-construction inspections, since we are having the roof and siding replaced. The first inspection was for the siding, gutters and wood trim capping. Shane was very informative and a pleasure to deal with. He was knowledgeable and took the time to explain the process, while answering all of my questions. He showed my wife samples of the products, just to make sure she was happy with her choice. He could see she wasnt sure of the color, but took the time to go through the color pallets, over and over and over....lol (I actually felt bad for him).The second person doing the roof pre-inspection was Kevin, which just took place today, and yes, they were both on time for each appointment. Once again, AWESOME!! Took the time to explain the roofing procedure, the products used and what they are used for. Ask about my dogs, since he is a dog owner and was concerned that they would be very freaked out about the constant banging on the roof.I will be reviewing the work after each job has been completed. Im confident the workmanship will match the preliminary experience so far. My wife and I are looking forward to the new house!

They gave me advice and answered my questions. As a salesperson myself, I was impressed.Today Joe and myself sat and talked about my options concerning a much needed new roofing system. He explained EVERYTHING from the start to finish.Joe inspected the outside, measured then carefully checked the interiorof the roof. He at all times was SO knowledgable and helped me decide the best roofing system for our needs. Were all set. Now my wife and I are looking forward to that beautiful brand new roof!

Although we did not commit that day we were left with a pleasant experience. A follow up visit by Joe 2 months later resulted in our signing a contract. I had Rob from Home Star Remodeling come and give us an estimate on a roof, which was grossly overpriced, but he was very nice and professional. Well...that was a big mistake. I have received numerous phone calls since then trying to follow-up and get me to move forward with having this company put a roof on my house, even though I have told them several times that I am NOT interested. I keep blocking the numbers that they use to call me, and they just call me from a new one, multiple times in a day. Tell me, if its such a good company why do you have to harass people in order to get work?!!! I would have posted zero stars if it would have allowed me.

Me and my wife were in great hands throughout the entire process of getting an estimate for our dated roof. I wasn’t sure if it would be a good time for it to be serviced but with leaks and water damage I reached out to a few private contractors resulting with ridiculous prices and subpar service. Our friend told us about her experience with Dan and how accommodating and easy he made it. I’m glad we took her up on the reference because now we can rest assured with our new roof underway, along with a great warranty. Rob spent the time necessary to really explain the condition of our existing roof and what HomeStar could do to help alleviate existing installation issues. Dan from Homestar came by and asked if we would like an estimate so I said I would be interested but he insisted that both home owners needed to be home in order to do the estimate. I told him that could be challenging due to our work schedules and I would call to schedule on my own time. I have received 4 phone calls within 24 hours and he was harassing me about my roof and when was I going to replace it. He also kept saying he would be in the neighborhood and it became very uncomfortable when I told him we were not interested any more. I ended up hanging up on him .DO NOT give out number and I do not recommend this company at all.

Loved that they were so professional! Rob showed up for the appointment very prompt and with a shadow (Tony)! They were both so thoughtful and really made sure to put us at ease when examining everything! Rob made sure to even cover up the clothes in the closet when looking into the attic, aka the crawl space, so that no insulation would drop down on them! (and the little that landed on the towel he was sure to gather up and put right in the trash, like he was in his own home!) Robs knowledge of the company and the products and services they provide was just outstanding! He had the perfect answer for every question I had and gave it to me straight (no rose colored glasses). Even the simplest things, like the darkening of the wood in the attic, he made sure I knew exactly what could and potentially would happen over time, if left untreated! Although I know his job is to convince me I need a new roof and leave with a contract, I never felt as though I was pressured into anything! Unfortunately we were not in a position at this time to give him the go ahead but, I would ABSOLUTELY and WITHOUT A DOUBT recommend this company and especially Rob himself! Like I said, he lives for this company and knows his stuff inside and out! If I hadnt listened to a word he said, I would still give HIM an amazing review because he was so personable and really made us feel as though he was looking out for our best interest at heart! Again, yes hes there to sell me a new roof, but like I said, it was his belief and true passion that sold it for me! When we finally buckle down and can afford a new roof, this is the only company we will chose! This company was built by brothers and I truly feel as though they make everyone genuinely feel like family, especially with the exceptional workers they hire! As a little side note, Rob and Tony even helped me change out our front lights we have hanging along the porch! I mean talk about going the extra mile!! They werent even bothered! They are both genuinely amazing people and if Tony continues to shadow under Rob he will be an amazing addition to the sales team! I cant say enough how truly outstanding they both were and how authentic and personable they were! I was honestly kind of bummed when they left because our conversation (outside of all things home repair) was so pure! It was like having a friend over, but also discussing the nitty gritty of things in the most calming and assuring way possible!! 1000/10 for this company and their employees! They were truly amazing and again whatever work we have done in the future will be by them and them only! Great job guys!

I used this company to get a window quote since they knocked on my door one day. After receiving an extremely high quote, I decided not to go with this company. No hard feelings until the guy who is in charge of calling people to get business started calling me non stop. Every time I have spoken to him he has been extremely rude and disrespectful. I was questioned and talked back to multiple times. I have witnesses to the way he has spoken to me and call logs from multiple numbers from this company after I have blocked so many of them. It has become borderline harassment at this point. This company needs to hire people who are more professional if they want to gain business. If I keep receiving harassing phone calls I will report this to the better business bureau and the authorities.

I got a knock on the door in the middle of the day, and I almost didnt answer because I was watching my show. I am really glad I did however because I meant the nicest young man and he signed me up for a free siding estimate. A lot came up in my life (Im a nurse so...) and I had to cancel. They have not forgot about me they have called me a couple times since and I keep putting it off (I am the worst procrastinator). If you are reading this thanks for keeping in touch and Im so sorry if Im a pain, next time I hope I am writing a review about my beautiful new siding. My house needs a total makeover lol.

I called after we had a storm cause some damage to our roof. I talked to Janelle and she was so helpful! it was more than I expected. She told me what I should look for as I am looking at the damage, how to check the attic for mold, and what to ask the inspector when they came to my house. Every industry has a language, I was so unfamiliar with home repair, but she helped me understand on my level. I would call them again

We had a sliding glass door replaced, and the work was quick, efficient, and not dirty - they covered all surfaces, and completely vacuumed afterwards. We expect well get significant savings from the much greater thickness of the glass used and have been most pleased with the work

Homestar put on my roof before my solar panels were installed. They did a great job. They were in and out in a day and a half and cleaned up all the mess to the point where you would not have even known they were there. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a roof.

We had no thought to upgrade our windows (28 years old) when two of your reps came to the door. They were neat, pleasant, and most of all not pushy. They introduced us to the product in an informative and professional manner.Interested, we met with Rob today. Again he was informative, professional, prepared and not aggressive in his approach.As a result, we will be replacing our windows and look forward to the update.

HomeStar replaced my roof and gutters last week. I was impressed by the quality of work, the customer service and just how convenient and efficient the whole process was from when their door-to-door representatives first contacted me until the roofing director came to inspect the work. All the staff were so professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend HomeStar. The price was very reasonable too!

These people came to my door a year ago to offer an estimate. I decided not to go with them. They have continued to call me for an entire year! I have asked repeatedly to be taken off their call list. I have blocked several of their numbers. The last person who called, I asked to speak to his supervisor. He would not let me speak to his supervisor. He continued to try and ask me questions about my roof while I asked repeatedly for his company to never call me again. This company is soulless. Don’t do business with them unless you want to be hounded day and night with unsolicited phone calls.

Set up an appointment with me and cancelled at the last minute. I stayed home from my job to be here and offered to be available later in the day. Then tried to “up sell” with a discount if I would schedule at a later date. Not ok. Will not use them if they are this unreliable.

Home Star sales team was great. They came out to my house and went into detail of the tasks they would be preforming. The day of my install, the install crew came on time and did a outstanding job. I was very impressed by the quality of the job. I couldnt of asked for a better experience.

Erik came to our home to give us an estimate on a new roof. He had great energy and was very personable! He explained the process in a clear and concise way! He did a thorough inspection in our attic and caught things our home inspector missed just a few months earlier. We are excited to do business with this company, and move forward with a new roof and install! We have high expectations and believe they will deliver!

HomeStar replaced our roof this past week. The entire process from start to finish was seamless. Each member of the team communicated well and efficiently with us even when impending weather was a potential problem. The roof looks incredible and it came at the perfect time, just before snow. Having had 8 windows replaced, a couple of them would not lock properly. I received an instant response to my email that someone would notify me and make an appointment. When they installed my beautiful new windows, the tech immediately noticed and alerted me re a small crack on one. He had already ordered a replacement and they came out within a few weeks & replaced it. Great service, wonderful warranty for life!

We love our new roof. The workers arrived on time. The work was done in a timely way. The clean up was done completely and all unused materials were removed. The workers cooperated with the arrival and departure of the daycare children. Safety was a high priority. We are very happy with our roof.

I had a great experience with this company. They were on time, worked fast, and cleaned up great. The roof is well worth the money. l was quoted a top of the line roof with a 50 yr warranty, and ventilation upgrade. The system has reduced the load of our AC tremendously already. Home star did an excellent job start to finish. The sales person was very informative and works with your budget, and from then to install they keep you informed and updated on the status of your project through periodic texts from a real person. Our salesmen Erik was both knowledgeable cordial and willing to answer all of our questions. I was not gonna move forward today, however the quality of the windows and the price convinced me to make the decision to buy these windows. With salesmen like Erik, Homestar will see nothing but success in the future.

A few months back, we hired HomeStar Remodeling to replace our roof and gutters. Then it took multiple follow-up calls and trips to address a myriad of issues from the install that shouldnt have been issues in the first place (broken flood light, popped nails, tape hanging out from under shingles, etc). All of that took at least a MONTH to address.And yesterday, since we finally had some nice weather, we were doing some work out back and noticed that we DONT HAVE ANY gutter guards at all, even though the paperwork CLEARLY states theyd be included.How and when is Homestar Remodeling going to fix this? Are we going to need to contact the Better Business Bureau about them (and their shady financing company, Time Investment Company)?

I was very satisfied with HomeStar. They were personable from beginning to end. The work was completed efficiently and competently by Yuri and Vlad. Josh was friendly and worked with me to find the right products to fit my needs. Ryan made sure that I was pleased with the product and the work completed. I would recommend HomeStar to any one thinking about replacing their windows or doors.

This has been a wonderful experience, working with HomeStar Remodeling. The only complaint I have is that at my initial appointment, which I made in February of this year on the same day that a salesman came to my door, I was informed that I would only get the discounted price that he quoted me if I signed up on the spot. I do not recommend this business practice. Especially when I did not initiate the appointment. I was not even in the market for new windows until a very nice gentleman came to my door and gave a very good sales pitch. Your company should recognize that people need to shop around and compare your prices with others. I am happy with the price I was quoted, but Ill never know whether I might have gotten a better deal from another company.Things I AM happy about: I was given the privilege of paying for these windows one year after the date of installation, so Im able to self-finance by saving a little each month until my bill is due in July 2017.On the day of installation, 2 very fine gentlemen accomplished the job in about 5 hours. They were very neat and cleaned up before they left and for that I m a happy customer. Two days later, Mandy came and cleaned the windows, to make sure all the sticky residue came off, and that was a wonderful unexpected treat.One thing we have left to talk about is the capping on the outside of the windows. Other than that, I am as happy customer.
