What a wonderful place! Great layout for 6 feet considerations. Offering a full menu and a full bar for fantastic cocktails. The staff was friendly and the beer selection wide from the Foothills brewery next door. Stop into the bookshop to peruse a wide variety of written genres! Fun for families, date night or solo adventuring!

My husband and I popped in after stopping at bookmarks. We enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere of this coffee shop! I definitely plan to go back, I think it would make an excellent spot to bring a laptop and get some work done over a warm drink.

We invited all of our wedding guests to a pre-wedding Welcome Party at Footnote Coffee & Cocktails. Oh my - the place looked beautiful (all thanks to the Footnote staff) and the food and drinks were outstanding! They were also nice enough to let us crash their getting ready time for a wedding rehearsal. This was truly a wonderful way to kick off the wedding celebrations, and we just loved working with this team. Thanks so much!

Super great place to go and study, adorable little alleyway and right next to a book store, every rom com watchers paradise. I didn’t try the coffee but i did have a smoothie and it was really good! I haven’t made it back yet for cocktails but i hope to soon!

I love Footnote! An all day location that goes straight through from a delicious early morning coffee and breakfast to drinks, dinner, and dessert! Everyone is so nice and helpful and the space is beautiful! Being attached to a book store bookmarks makes it even better!

Spent all afternoon scooting and walking around Winston-Salem. We need a break and stopped in. GREAT coffee (and cocktail) shop. This was a great pick me up late in the afternoon.

I held my sisters bridal shower here, and frankly I could not have been more impressed. The event space is pretty enough to not need much decoration at all. The catered food was delicious and plentiful. The service was prompt and kind. The coffee and mimosas were strong in the best way possible. Jennie Hess knows exactly what shes doing and thinks of all the small details and can see the big picture. Seriously, I wish I had another event to plan.

My husband and I just had our Wedding Rehearsal dinner at Footnotes. First of all, Jennie is the most amazing planner and was so helpful and accommodating. Jennie helped make our vision come true and worked with my Mother in Law to make it perfect. The food was delicious and so were the beverages! 5 star review well deserved!

Had my wedding here a few weeks ago and could not have asked for a better venue. Super convenient to have food and (great) beer through the venue instead of looking for outside caterers, Jennie was easy to work with, and the vibe is just unbeatable. Plus, the staff on the wedding night were incredibly helpful! After we sat down to eat, they came to check on us and my husband jokingly mentioned he was craving french fries, and not 5 minutes later french fries appeared! They also helped us carry presents to our car at the end of the night, and overall were very supportive. Thanks Footnote!

Wedding reception, nice facility, good service.

On August 10, 2019 we held our wedding and reception at Footnote. The space was spacious, yet intimate and elegant. Our ceremony was held in the Jade Room and the reception in the main hall. Jennie, Kris and their staff, were exceptional, true professionals paying attention to every detail, making it perfect in every way for us and our guest. They food was out of this world and we received nothing but rave reviews from our guest. What a wonderful venue and a great place to hold any event.

Great new ☕ coffee shop downtown behind Foothills and Design Archives. They have a full coffee bar with drip coffee and espresso from their own beans, espresso drinks, sandwiches, pastries, and more. They also have Foothills 🍻 beer on tap. Great event space with two different room sizes perfect for a corporate event, birthday, party or even wedding. They have restrooms, ♿ handicap accessible parking, entrances, and restrooms.

Great spot for parties! We hosted our sons first birth day party here and all our guests liked it. Jennie was very helpful coordinating out event from beginning to end. Staff is amazing and very friendly. Food and foothills beers are great addition. Overall we had a great experience and recommend to anyone.

This is the cutest location to go relax, ha E a beer/coffee and even host an event! Ive been to a bridal shower here and it was by far the best location, had amazing food and decor was spot on. Super great place for people new to the area wanting to explore downtown.-Great parking easily accessible in the back from Holly Street-Amazingly friendly and helpful staff-Quiet and chill but interesting-Their coffee is fantastic and their cookies (esp. the brown butter chocolate chip) are to die for-Attached to a book store so really what more could you ask for?-The front entrance is a little tricky to find if you’re not sure what to look for (follow the courtyard under the Bookmarks sign) but the surrounding shops are super sweet and it’s a fun little area to explore

I stopped to see the new place and was surprised at how spacious it was. They have two areas that can be reserved for private events and a very comfortable area for customers to chill. They have a great variety of coffees, quick bites to grab, and Foothills beer on tap! Jamie was working when I went and he was extremely nice and attentive. If you have an event you can get food from the menu at Foothills. Will definitely come back!

A really nice tea selection and coffee on tap and snack offerings are huge portions! Industrial feel but somehow cozy too. Parking out back on Holly Street side is super easy. The Bookmarks bookstore adjacent to it can give you a whole morning or afternoon of repose.

Event and meeting space, coffee shop, bar and bookstore, not as strange as it sounds. It really is great combo. Our nonprofit sponsored a holiday celebration here. Servers and barkeepers were conscientious and efficient. Food was good bar food with vegetarian options. All who attended and had not been to this space beforr were impressed and expressed a desire to return.

This is the coolest coffee shop Ive been to in ages, but the chai latte left something to be desired. Not even an ounce of sweetness, barely any chai spices, or flavors. It was very lack luster and I didnt even finish it. I might as well have asked for warm milk with a dash of nutmeg (unless thats literally what I was given). Guess Ill have to try again next time Im in town.

I attended a large after party at Footnote following meetings at the convention center. It was an easy walk from the convention center so parking wasnt an issue. They had plenty of room for our crowd of about 250. Plenty of serving stations and no one had to wait especially long for food or drink.

I had a cappuccino and it was really good. Its a nice cozy place to meet with friends.

I really like this little hidden gem. Awesome service and REALLY strong coffee. They keep the facility clean and modern. Very nice spot.

New favorite place for some coffee and a study session. Or a beer/cocktail and lounging. They do have event reserved at times, but that hasnt clashed with my visits yet.

Awesome, relaxed vibe thats family friendly, but still trendy. My first thought in walking in was, Wow, Ive got to find an event to host here. The staff were friendly and helpful; the barista even thought to ask if it hot chocolate was for an adult or a child (our children were with us)! I so very much appreciate when a barista/waiter offers things to help me out as a parent. I cant say that Im surprised, after having fabulous experiences at the Tasting Room and the Brew Pub. Footnote carries on that sense of community and belonging seamlessly. Five solid stars.

Nothing against the staff. They were attentative and friendly... But I went there for a special occasion (high school reunion). I couldnt drink the beer I drank in high school because they only have their own beer there. They had many makers of wine and spirits. They would have made a lot of us old farts happier with a keg of good old merikn brew.
