With the state of the world right now buying an automobile is not as easy as it once was. There is no much demand and so little supply. My car search has been very hard and I am so lucky to have found Mike and Koons Woodbridge Hyundai. This was an awesome experience! Surprisingly! Dealership was about an hr away. Reed came up to myself, my Hubby, and children as we pulled up to the dealership. We were interested in seeing a specific vehicle. He introduced himself and immediately assisted us!!! Me being preggo and all, he was so very accommodating and personable. The whole process of buying my car was very fast and Reed was informative! He knew all about the vehicle(s) we wanted to see! He even spoke to his manager about accommodations due to me being so far along in my pregnancy and he personally brought my vehicle to my residence!!! This dealership advertised a vehicle at a reduced price online and then charged me “made up” fees that were not listed on their website and are not posted in their establishment at the time of sale to make up for the reduction in price. I was sold a vehicle that is completely rusted underneath. The Carfax I was given was clean, but I had it thoroughly inspected and it has been in somesort of rear end collision. I received horrible customer service and was completely taken advantage of. What kind of company exploits people during a pandemic, a time when every dollar counts?! I dont generally write reviews nor do I have experience selling a car, but I did just sell my car to Koons and had a great experience working with Max Loghmani. He offered me a fair price and the transaction went smoothly, paying off my old loan in just a couple days and all paperwork was fast and easy. It was more than just a deal though and making sure the car was in excellent shape. Max asked about me and my family and told me about his family. I don’t even know where to start on how much I loved working with these 2 young gentlemen Zabi and Eli. The car I came for wasn’t there a month ago but when the car arrived they sent me a video of the car and it was the color I wanted. Got a good price on my trade and everything worked the way I wanted it to. The efficiency was amazing between these 2 sales people. Both knowledgeable and professional. I live in Central Virginia and made the 3-hour trip to Northern Virginia because Koons offered the most attractive price on the 2020 Nissan Sentra SR Premium than I wanted. Sam was able to help me get all the details nailed down before I even arrived; he even sent me a personalized video of the vehicle, outlining all of the features and some of the things I had specifically inquired about. Just amazing! Very satisfied! I worked with Sam (Salman al salman), he is very knowledgeable and helpful. He cares about his clients and wants them to be happy with the purchase. I bought a red venue 2021. The process went as smooth and as fast as possible. I’ve been driving the car for about a month, it’s great. The staff is also very friendly and kind. Great experience. We made an appointment online and were able to see the car right away. We ended up going with a different car than we originally booked the appointment for, but the salesperson (Jordan) didnt pressure us into buying the more expensive option. It took us about 2 hours from in the door to driving off the lot, but there was very little waiting time - more of the test drive (and viewing the second vehicle), the paperwork, and the financing.

I recently purchased a car from this dealership, and it was a tiring event. I encountered many staff who were quite pleasant and others who made my experience quite frustrating. My salesperson, Rasheed H, met my car requests and made my time in the dealership a tolerable experience .My gripes would be that my salesperson was not very well informed on some of the inquiries I was inquiring on, and gave the wrong information as a result.I am not upset that my salesperson did not know every single answer to the questions that I asked. However, it would have been helpful if they asked me for clarification, to repeat what I said, or to even say, “ I don’t know. Let me find someone who does.” I think that may have saved a lot of confusion and backtracking down the road.It is important that I can believe in the worker I am working with and can trust they can help me get the information I need. In my instance, I did not truly believe I had either. Further, I did feel at times that my salesperson was not invested in the entire process and (at times) was half-heartedly working with me.Also, I believe, one of the sales managers I encountered, Keith F, is a prime example of a poor manager. I think he lacks many customer service skills, and is the sort of individual to act as though his ego cannot afford to be challenged. Nor does he have the patience to deal with consumers who have questions on how particular processes work. I recall having asked what a certain fee included. I sensed a look of confusion and asked if I should clarify what I had asked. He simply said, “No.”, and did not say anything further. It felt as though my concern wasn’t even acknowledged, my request was unreasonable, and as if it was more of a hassle to ensure that I was understanding everything and to clear any confusion I had.Lastly, when closing on my purchase, I encountered another gentleman, Nate Y. He lied right to my face about my possibilities of insurance options to make more money on the tail end…Very unsavory but typical in that type of workAll in all, I think the experience is exactly what I expected. I was met with some people who live up to the infamous salesperson stereotypes-- those who are quite unkind, who look at you as a walking dollar bill, and who make the shopping experience unbearable. I am happy for those that have had better experiences with this location. But I believe the dealership could certainly use a revamp on its service. And so, I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.In general, I recommend anyone going to buy a car to advocate for themselves, speak up, and ask as many questions as you see fit. And please do your research!! At the end of the day, you are going to be the one purchasing the car and having to deal with the repercussions of it so make sure you are getting the service you are paying for. And know there is more power in simply walking away.For those who do choose to work with this dealership, I would not recommend raising concerns, speaking to or working with Keith F., Andy B., or Nate Y.Thanks to Mohamed H. Horrible customer service! Rude and anapologetic. We brought in our vehicle for an oil change and they accidentally cut our tire( not sure how that happens during an oil change). Didn’t have the curtesy to let us know until we showed up to pick up our vehicle, just to end up going back home because the vehicle was not going to be ready until the next day. We asked for a loaner which they provided a few hours later with rotted lemons in the back seat, where my daughter had to sit. I took a picture of it. We had to call to find out if the vehicle was ready, not even that curtesy from them. This is our second time at Koons Hyundai Woodbridge. We are never going back there. I will make sure friends and family know what kind of service they provide. I will also post this on the MyNeighbour app so they are all aware of the horrible service.

I went to this dealership out the blue and Musafa Hassan came right up and introduced himself to me. I let him know what I’m interested in and he provided me with all of the great features. He provided the keys for me to take a test drive. I was happy and satisfied with the customer service he provided, but was not ready to make a decision. We exchange numbers, so I can contact him once I make my decision. He followed up with a call to see if I had any more questions. When I made my decision and came back he happen to be the first person to see me outside. He helped me locate the vehicle, complete my paperwork and get the new vehicle ready for me to go home. He was helpful, informative on the vehicle, not pushy and answered all of my last minute questions. Thank you for your patience and assistance with my new purchase for my family.

This review is about the excellent customer service I received from Christian Hernandez, but I would be remiss not to talk about how I ended up connecting with him.I had (in my opinion) a very unprofessional experience with a salesman at the Hyundai location near my home. I went there with the intent to look at the Santa Fe. I expressed that interest to the salesman there, but he said they didn’t have the one I wanted so he could sell me the Palisade. He went on and on about why I should get the Palisade, but never opened any of the vehicles so I could understand the differences in the trims, nor asked me if I wanted to test drive any even if I wanted to change my mind. He just sat me down at his desk and wanted to begin paperwork. I told him that I wanted to call another location, but he said even if their website said they had the Santa Fe, when I got there they wont have it because of the “car shortage”. He seemed to be more focused on trying to sell me a vehicle I did not want instead of trying to please me as a customer.I did not listen to him and called the Koons Woodbridge location and Christian answered the phone. Not only did he tell me they had the car I wanted, but the fact that he answered the many questions I had motivated me to drive there the same day (even after wasting so much time with the other salesman). When I arrived, he took me to see the different trims of the vehicle and allowed me to test drive two of them. Christian helped to ease my nervousness of driving the brand new vehicles as well as show me some of each vehicle’s signature features. When I decided on the one I wanted, we began the paperwork. Even though he had nothing to do with what I experienced at the other dealership, he was apologetic on behalf of the business. He made sure I knew what the next steps were throughout the entire process.Christian bought the vehicle to my home the next day. He showed me more of its features, made sure I was fully set up on the Bluelink app and answered more of my questions. I had so many questions because this was my very first “brand new vehicle” and I was amazed at the things it could do. Overall, Koons did a great job when they hired Christian. I could tell he loves vehicles and helping people find the vehicle they love. He was clearly more focused on making sure I was happy and I appreciate him for that. Keep up the good work!!!

The people there are nice just because they want your money but when you get home and you wash your car finally you see how many scratches there are. Then they show you a clean Carfax But then you take it to a body shop and they show you that it has been in an accident. Although the vehicle was not reported to be in an accident by the previous owner, the dealership covered up everything. I have bought used cars from many places and they were upfront, not this place. Within two months of owning the vehicle mechanical issues are starting to occur. I called and talked to a manager who said he would call me back the next day and that never happened. It was 20k so not a big loss.

This dealership has owed me over $350 for a car rental reimbursement for over 3 1/2 months. A few more weeks and I’m planning to send the transcripts of assured reimbursement to the BBB. They had no loaners available when I had my car serviced and gladly took me over to the enterprise across the street for a covered rental. Fast forward over three months and HUNDREDS of calls/texts/emails later and I’m still waiting. Every time they say they have an answer and then they use the wrong charge code, or have the wrong POC at Enterprise, or the approval goes to the wrong person, and they hand me off to someone else to contact. It’s been truly infuriating and I will never bring my car here for service again. Beware!!

All you need to know: Dexter McDougle gets it done.It turns out, you should have an appointment at this location. My partner and I didnt know that and we just walked in the other day. We were a little surprised that no one greeted us, but Dexter popped up and gave us the lowdown. * Update - Just to respond to the owners comments below, 5 days have passed, no attempt to reach out to me was made and the attempt to imply that there was some confusion on my part is ridiculous and shameful. There was no confusion, your website is misleading, your vehicle stickers did NOT contain information on your additional mark-up, and from reading some of the other reviews with very low scores, this isnt the first time someone has had problems in your dealership. If youd like to fix your problems, please do so. If youd like to genuinely reach out to dissatisfied shoppers, that would also help. Posting disingenuous responses to appear concerned just reaffirms the lack of honesty and transparency you claim to have.A visit to this dealership could lead to a few unfortunate surprises. My wife and I visited this dealership after viewing two Hyundai Pallisades on their website. The website specifically said that the vehicles were on the lot. These vehicles were the lowest priced ones. After a 45 minute drive, we were greeted by a very nice salesman (the only reason this isnt a one star review) and told that the vehicles on the website were not there, and had not been there for some time. That really felt like a bait and switch. We then test drove a more expensive vehicle that fit the upper-end of our price range, only to come back from the test drive and have an extra $5000 added to the price, calling it a Market Adjustment. Besides the nice (and apologetic) sales staff, I would not recommend this dealership unless you are into disappointment and outright greed. Market Adjustment is another name for trying to sell something for more than it is worth. Everyone knows cars depreciate rapidly. This dealership appears to want you underwater quickly.

Bery aggressive salesmanship and when reported was met with a manager that defended the rude sales staff that went as far as shutting the phone on my face abruptly without warning because I explained patiently time and time again that I found a used car deal too expensive. When you have a Manager defending that with “well I don’t have a recording of the phone call” you Know this attitude and treatment is welcomed and expected under his management.

Dealing with Koons was one of the worst customer experiences I have ever received. I was recently in the market for a new vehicle and sent inquires to several dealerships in the area to see what they had to offer in inventory and simply dealership specific incentives. Now of course, I understand that the car market is more scarce than usual due to chip shortages but the lack of knowledge and customer service was appauling. The sales associate I talked had no clue about the vehicle itself, what the Hyundai wide leasing options were, or what his dealership could offer as opposed to every other dealership in the area. I had to provide HIM with details on what the vehicle would look like in its package offerings, from my research and discussion with other dealerships. The sales associate simply stopped answering my inquiry. I then emailed the Sales Manager and got a response from the sales associate within 30 minutes of my email to the sales manager, though he had not responded for a week. His response was short and negligent, but he did throw in that there would be a $3000 markup on the vehicle!I come from a family of loyal Hyundai owners. We have three Hyundais in my immediate family, so I have a pretty good understanding of dealing with Hyundai dealerships and purchasing Hyundai vehicles. I have never had such a miserable experience simply inquiring about vehicles and truly would rather go to any other dealership in the DMV area for my next vehicle.

The car buying process can be very frustrating and the trust factor of car sales people is generally questionable. We met Sam at Koons Hyundai and were impressed with his ability to be straight forward in negotiating a deal. There was some give and take but ultimately we arrived at a fair deal and we were happy to work with Sam as he listened to our concerns and tried to make it work for us so that both parties walked away satisfied that we arrived the best deal. Pathetic experience. Went online to schedule valet pickup to have my car serviced. I was given the option of an appointment for that day, at 2 pm. I scheduled it and received a confirmation email, with instructions on what I needed to do. I called the service department to confirm, just to make sure and was told someone would call me back. Nobody did. I called back twice and nobody from that department answered. I left work early at 1 pm to be home for them pick up my car. By 2:30 nobody showed up. I called again, couldnt get anybody to pick up the phone, left a message and didnt get called back. Called again and was finally told We dont do same day valet service. I told the person I had a confirmation email and also tried calling numerous times to confirm and got nothing, he just said they dont do same day appointments. Then he asked me if I wanted to schedule something for tomorrow. I wouldnt trust Koons to service my daughters big wheel, let alone my new car. Stay away.

APPALLING service! Took my car in for a brake issue; got it back in a couple of days. Elliott Anderson (Service) was epitome of good service: communicative, friendly, helpful. Gave me a number to text for updates. Assured me my car would be running beautifully. On the way home the brakes failed.I returned it and Koons Hyundai Woodbridge kept it for THREE WEEKS and literally ghosted me the entire time. I had no idea when I was getting my car back. They didnt return calls or texts. Elliott Anderson did not get in touch. I called the Sales Dept begging for an update. They tried to help but clearly no one in Service gave a hoot. Were paying top dollar for service technicians ostensibly trained to a high level. Either they arent properly trained or theyre not allowed to properly diagnose & repair. Something is seriously wrong with this business.Elliott Anderson had the gall to GAILY (yes, all cheerful and chipper) call me - after THREE WEEKS of ghosting - to announce my car would be ready in a couple of days. No apology, no mention of me having no car for almost a month (in total). Clearly, his middle name is Richard.

Ask for Zabi Shirzai, I came to get my brother a vehicle and he showed me around the car, test drive was good, came back to his desk and the prices was fair. Everything went smooth and efficient, we were there for about 45 minutes! Fastest car buying experience ever!! Go to Zabi Shirzai if you need a car and save yourself the hassle and time. Purchased what was marketed as an AWD Santa Fe Limited in July. Had my first service today (October 2021) and come to find out that my car is FWD. When I approached the dealership with text messages from my previous sales conversation, they were condescending in fixing the situation.General Manager (Andy) was rude, condescending, and even said that if I wanted to switch out my vehicle, I would need to trade in my Santa Fe and put down an extra 14k to get my current financing rate. (He was aware that I put down money and traded in a car to get my rate with the supposed AWD Santa Fe I purchased).Ive never had such a terrible experience regarding anything in the past, in fact, this is my first review for any establishment. Ive already lodged a complaint with Hyundai USA.I would recommend you steer clear of this dealership. They own up to their mistakes but dont take any corrective action. The agent I worked with previously (Raeshawn) asked me if I had to have a limited (which I purchased) and asked if I would be willing to downgrade my vehicle to fix things.Do not shop at Koons Hyundai in Woodbridge.

I really didnt want to leave a bad review but I feel I have to. So i bought a 2019 Chevy Silverado. My first gripe was they advertised that it had XM radio, it did not and they want me to pay to put it in. Second on my Maryland inspection, 4 days later, I had to do an oil change{which they reimbursed me for} and a front end alignment, Now for the main reason for the post 2 weeks later they brake sensor went off and now i need a 1600 dollar brake job. The rotor have rust on them and my mechanic says it looks like the truck sat a while..Koons Chevy wants 1600 to do the job. Seems sad you buy a 37000 dollar pick up truck and within 2 weeks you need a full brake job and they say its not a safety concern. Caveat Emptor buyer beware.

I acknowledge that now is the worst time to buy a used car. My husband and I were looking for a used minivan (which are in very short supply at the moment) and ended up finding a Chrysler Pacifica at this dealership for what seems like a great price. It needed a few things fixed, which the dealerships said they would fix and then we could take the van home. While they were fixing things, the check engine light come on, so they sent it to a Chrysler dealership to be looked at. It was almost a week before we heard an update from the dealerships (I had to reach out to find out what was going on). We finally got the van and the very next day, the check engine light came on again. We took it to a Chrysler dealership and paid almost $500 to have it looked at and fixed. After getting the van back, the check engine light came on AGAIN. Meanwhile, we got a call from the dealership that we couldnt get our permanent plates because they neglected to do the emissions before we bought the van. The issue with the check engine light would cause the van to fail emissions. We got in touch with one of the managers, Andy, who seemed like he was helping us. He offered to send someone to pick up the van and drop off another car for us to use while the van was getting fixed. The dealership paid for the van to get looked at and fixed at Chrysler (again), which we appreciated. They dropped the van back off and the check engine light came on AGAIN. In total, the light came on 5 TIMES in the 1 month we owned the car. Andy told us that we could return the car since it was giving us so many issues (we had owned the car for almost a month but only possessed it for about 5 days total). We appreciated that the dealership was working with us. We returned the car and signed a document that said we would receive the refund check within 10 business days. On the 11th business day, I called and texted Andy and got no response. My husband called the next day (the 12th business day) and got in touch with Andy who said that the check would be overnighted to the bank. Later that day, Andy contacted me and said that the check would be overnighted to us since our bank was a 3rd party bank. The next day came and went and no check arrived. I contacted the dealership the following day (the 14th business day) and THE CHECK HAD NEVER BEEN MAILED! I told them that my husband would go there that weekend to pick the check up. When he arrived, they had to search for the check and then when he looked at it, it was dated the day he picked it up (which indicates it hadnt even been printed until that day). This was absolutely the worst car buying experience and I will never work with this dealership again.

My purchase experience was great. The sells representative (PT) was extremely pleasant. I have purchased two vehicles from them in the past 2 months. The finance reps that proceessed my purchased were both extremely pleasant and thorough. They took the time to explain everything to me as they walked me through the process.. GM (Ape) is extremely nice and dies his best to make his customers feel like family. He is very attentive to any issues and or concerns that are brought to his attention. He will do whatever is within his power to make your experience at Koons a positive one. For example, I had an issue during my 1st experience with the service department. I dont need to get into the long drawn out details, the takeaway is that after I addressed my concerns, an immediate resolution was provided that resolved my immediate concern and any that I may have in the future. Despite that one negative experience, I gave them a overall 5 stars because of the customer service and the actions taken to address and resolve the issue spoke volumes to me! I highly recommend Koons!

Dont believe sticker price; theres a $10k markup for profit on a Palisade. My family and I visited today ready to purchase a Hyundai Palisade. The sticker price for the model we wanted was appropriate (about $50k) considering the microchip shortage. The only reason the establishment earned two stars is because they stayed out of the car during the test drive so we could discuss our opinions freely, and that was nice. But, surprise. When we sat down to negotiate, we learned there was a $10k markup over the sticker price for profit. The gentleman we spoke with blamed supply and demand, played the everyone is doing it card, and even told us they purchased the vehicle for $48k. So, theyre admittedly charging $12k more than the vehicle is even worth. In case youre wondering, we left with our pockets full.

I have been looking for a truck for over 2 years now. Waiting for something perfect to come along for both my budget and needs. I found a 2015 Toyota Tundra that checked all the boxes at Koons Hyundai. I was very fortunate to work with their staff, especially Mo Hassan, my salesman. Mo is a straight up guy and doesnt just treat you like another customer of his. He looks at your purchase with insight of a consumer himself. From test drive, to negotiations, all the way through us driving off the lot, he was great. I can’t speak more highly of a salesman. And the rest of the Koons Hyundai staff. Their finance department is also an awesome group. Long story short, if your looking for a vehicle I would start here, and ask for Mo!
