My first visit to this location. Dropped in for emissions test and oil change. Ended up adding a transmission fluid replacement. This shop is great! Very tightly run, yet they took the time to patiently answer the many questions I always have. The manager Harry (Harrison?) is *extremely* knowledgeable about cars and engines. Id been having trouble for months with slippage on my 80,000 mile automatic transmission. I was having to sometimes even take my foot off the accelerator at shifting points to lessen the slipping. Discussed with Harry the idea of transmission fluid replacement to improve the issue, and decided to have it done. I also asked him to add a quart of Lucas Transmission Fixer (which I bought at Walmart) during the change. This fixed the issue! The slippage is completely gone. What could have ended up an expensive transmission repair at some point cost me only about $150. I am SUPER pleased with my visit. Above and beyond what I expected.

Now that management is firmly in place with Mark Smith leading the crew this store is absolutely fantastic!! They know the vehicle no matter what you drive and they are equipped and skilled so the job is done quickly and accurately. Mark is a pro and his crew is second to none. Amazing!!I just moved from NY to GA, and, after driving 900+ miles, my truck started sputtering. I don’t know anyone in GA, so I went to Halvoline hoping they could help. Their manager, Harry, spent a substantial amount of time with me to diagnose every aspect of my vehicle to ensure that I was driving something safe. The time, effort, and service that Harry spent with me (and his other customers) was incredible. I came to get my required emissions test done for my vehicle and I interacted with 3 staff members, who all were not wearing masks. It’s a shame emissions aren’t waved during a pandemic... The staff are all really nice however.

I had stopped to check pricing a few weeks prior to see what my oil change would cost. The mistake I made was not asking again when I went in to have it done. Instead of $50 it was $77. I could have had it done down the street for $49. I wont be going back.

The guys, and lady, were very nice so I have no issues with them but the reason for the 3 was due to the cost of the oil and air filter change. I went with the second option of a synthetic blend for $61.99 plus and upcharge of $6.99 for the sixth quart. Seems high but it looks like thats the going rate around the area and I could have choose the regular oil so I can not really say anything negative about it. I was there for around 10 minutes so they were fast.I felt the need for a three star because of the air filter price. The gentleman came inside and said that I needed an air filter, which I knew I was close to needing to change it so I asked how much. I believe I heard $20 and with a $5 discount so I knew that was close to what I would have to pay at a parts store. Air filters are extremely easy to change and it wasnt a name brand so seemed fair. When I paid I see that the charge for the filter was $29.99 but charged $29. 99 with a $3.50 discount for the oil and $1.50 for the filter. Thats fine it added up to $5. I looked up the price of a filter and found I could get an oem Motorcraft for $18.99. I mention it to the lady who I had paid that I had heard $20 so she politely asked the gentleman who had spoken to me and he said he had told me $29.99. I was not in the mood to argue with or dispute so I just said lesson learned and left. When I was getting in my car the gentleman asked if there was a problem so I told him I thought the air filter was high that I could get an oem for $18.99. He offered to give me a $10 credit for next visit but I declined. I dont feel like I should have had to look into it and get to that point and I usually just say something to the place and choose to not use that place again so I wouldnt be able to use the credit.Some will think Im incorrect in giving a three after being offered the credit but I just dont like the fact that I had to get to that point. Makes me question what else might happen. Like I said though, the people there were polite, I just want to make sure you all verify all charges beforehand.

I came here for an oil change and Adrian took really good care of my car. He filled up all of my fluids and got my tire pressure for me! He told me my cabin air filter was ready to be replaced and gave me a coupon with it! Hes an excellent technician and I would definitely come back to see him! Please give that guy a raise!!!!! :)

Today my tire just so happened to blow out right in front of this location, and I’m lucky it did. I went in upset because I had no idea how to change a tire (I know, I know) and the associate was so kind. She and the coworker (I wish I would have gotten their names!) who changed my tire really went above and beyond. I will definitely be returning for any of my future vehicle needs. This kind of customer service is rare. Highly recommended!!

Honestly, the best.Update: I went back today (6/30) for an A/C service. My truck is a 2004 so I was expecting bad news and a huge bill. Scott, the mechanic, fixed the leak and refilled with refrigerant. We road tested it. Cold A/C again. He fixed my E-brake and filled the power steering tank. With a $20 discount coupon in hand my final bill was only $85. After four months of being surrounded by storm clouds, today, I found a bright ray of sunshine. Scott is the man.

The team was extremely friendly and very helpful. They got me in and out quickly while giving me all of the information I could ask for.

I came here to service my 2018 Nissan GTR a couple of days ago and it was a pleasure giving this shop my business. I first pulled to the back and was greeted by Adrian. He was very nice and friendly and got me right in. I just came in for an oil change and he finished it and came up to me to recommend a couple of things. He told me the transmission fluid was ready to get replaced as well as my coolant. He gave me a couple of coupons since I was doing all of it at once and it was finished in about 20 minutes. Adrian is a good and honest tech. I would definitely take my Nissan GTR back to him! 5/5 Please give that young man a raise!

This place is amazing, everyone here is very warm and kind. They share the information needed for what you bring your automobile for. They share details through the process. I believe Luccas was the associate that helped me, he went above and beyond in letting me know the process and was very kind towards me. I just moved here and it’s the first emission I have ever done for my car, Michigan does not do these. It was a small time and a great 10 star job. Thank you for making this an easy process.

Super quick in and out time with Excellent Customer Service. I have all five of my cars serviced at this location. I have had great service for the last five years at this location. These guys are not pushy... they will let you know if you have a dirty air filter, bad wiper blades etc... but they do not try to talk you into purchasing the extras like some of the other oil places that I have tried over the years do. I feel very safe letting my wife and kids taking their cars here without getting taken to the cleaners.

Went here for emissions which is usually a fast process at other places but this was the slowest I’ve ever ever experienced. There was one car in front of me which had been there for at least 20 minutes. I believe lunch was just delivered so maybe the guy was taking longer because of that but not sure. Needing to get back to work, this was frustrating. The people were nice so that made up for it a little bit. On the way home that day, I got on the highway as I usually do but noticed my hood was apparently unlatched and was starting to go up and down like it was going to open on me. I freaked out and had to pull over on the highway real quick, and sure enough the hood was not closed all the way. It was latched but obviously not slammed shut like you normally would when closing the hood. Very dangerous and scary situation. I realized this was the last place that did anything with my car. You would think they would have closed the hood properly and securely considering it’s what they do all day everyday.

If I could do zero stars I would. Their permanent sign located on Townlake Parkway in huge letters states oil change for $19.99. When you check out the charge $34.64. Beware this is not a real oil change advertisement. You have to bring your own filter. They separate out the cost of the filter unlike any other oil change company on the planet. This is a total and complete on purpose deceptive practice. The cashier was so embarrassed when I question the difference in price. I feel so sorry for people who have to work for a place like this. Unemployment is so low I guess they can’t find work elsewhere. With the economy doing so well it really makes you wonder about the ethics of these people. I guess they tell their children it’s OK to lie or cheat in order to get what you want. Don’t allow these people to take advantage of you.

Excellent place to get your car serviced. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about cars. The prices are competitive and fair. They have a car wash attached so you can get both your car cleaned and serviced at the same time. The area is clean and the waiting area has both a TV and coffee. Overall very pleasant experience.

I went in for the $19.99 oil change. I was greeted very quickly. The technician was friendly. The waiting area was clean for a car place. I was charged $40. At checkout I was told that I needed an upgraded oil filter and an extra quart of oil for my mini van. The manager apologized and said that the technician should have told me. If I had been told by the technician upfront this wouldn’t have been a problem; however, I felt blindsided. It appears by looking at the reviews that this trick happens often.

Excellent staff and very friendly. All 3 of my cars here for services. Great carwash on site as well. These guys are very knowledgeable. Id be comfortable with even any repair at this shop. I drive the extra miles to come to this location as the one by my house pales in comparison.

Today I went to have my oil change. Harrison called and gave me an update that I also needed my transmission fluid Changed. I looked it up on the Internet to confirm what he said about the mileage. It was exactly what he said. He was very kind and considerate with all of my questions and very patient. He and the front desk girl could not have been more professional and customer friendly. I will definitely be back. He made me feel like he was very trustworthy. He told me to come back, there was all kinds of little Services he would be happy to provide. Told me if I ever felt like my tires needed to be checked he would be happy to check them for me. It was an all over great experience.

I brought my car into Havoline for a synthetic oil change in February 2018. As I always do, I informed the service manager that my car had an after market oil drain plug installed that acts as a pet-cock and affords draining the oil without actually removing the plug, a technician only needs to open the valve to drain the oil. The service manager acknowledged this and the oil change was performed. My next oil change occurred on June 18 2018 at a different service center. I again informed the service manager of the after market oil drain plug. Five minutes later the service manager told me there wasnt an after market drain plug installed, instead, a regular bolt type plug was installed and it wasnt coming out without applying excessive force to the bolt. To me, this indicated a potential that an incorrect threaded bolt was installed during my visit to Havoline in February 2018. I told the service manager to immediately cease all work and that I would take the car back to the Havoline service center I visited in February. As one might imagine, while driving the 20 minutes to Havoline, I grew very frustrated because it appeared that the service technician in February removed the after market drain plug, drained the old oil and installed a different drain plug. Also, having been informed that the bolt wouldnt come out without excessive force got me to thinking that the drain plug installed was cross-threaded and that the threads on the oil pan were damaged. What concerned me the most was that after I clearly informed the service manager of the after market drain plug, that it was removed when it was designed not to be removed during an oil change. This clearly indicated poor craftsmanship by the technician that performed my oil change, a real rookie mistake.When I arrived to the Havoline service center (Town Lake Drive, Woodstock, GA) I talked with Mr. Harrison Smith, Store Manager. Mr. Smith quickly and clearly understood my concerns and frustrations. He asked that I immediately bring my car around back and that he would personally investigate the situation. As he was about to remove the bolt, I again reminded him of the other technicians statement that the bolt was difficult to remove and was a possible indication of cross-threading. Mr. Smith replied, I got you, and further stated that he was going to make this right, whatever the situation was. He removed the bolt. In his assessment, the bolt was not excessively tight. After I observed the condition of the threads on the bolt (excellent condition), I concurred with him. Mr. Smith performed a full oil change, directed his technicians to check all the other items checked on a car during service, and replaced the drain plug bolt with an after market drain plug (just like I had). He returned my car to me within 15 minutes, and although I provided the oil and filter, there was no charge to me. I thanked Mr. Smith and told him that when I arrived, I was really upset, I further stated he handled the situation right to the high expectations I had and I thanked him for doing the right thing. He asked that I keep bringing my vehicle back to him for service and apologized for the technicians error back in February. All in all, I left a thoroughly satisfied customer, and thats because of Mr. Smiths personal involvement and due to the fact he did all the right things for a customer.

Honest and friendly staff. Harrison or any of the other crew there has never tried to sell me anything I didnt need immediately. And they are all very knowledgeable about anything I have came in. I love the fact that in a world where it is so hard to find a mechanic who is trustworthy, there is a shop full of people who keep it 100 with me about what I need now and what could wait.

The oil changes here are fast and affordable! Customer care is usually great but my most recent experience turned me off. The gentleman servicing my vehicle claimed I needed a new battery and “warned” me multiple times before leaving that it had to be replaced immediately. He even showed me a reading of my dying battery. I had my car tested elsewhere and received opposite results and have also been driving around on the same “dying battery” for weeks now. It felt like a ploy to hustle me out of more money for an unnecessary and costly repair. It may have been an honest mistake but unfortunately this experience was enough for me to take my business elsewhere. Other than that I did enjoy the service here and would recommend.

I’ve been coming here for years. Price is awesome. They are honest, fair and very fast! I just love this place and will continue to come. There are 5 shops closer...but I still make the drive because of the staff here.
