The most incompetent sea of individuals ever, nobody that works there cares or are concerned and have no clue how to do their supposed job. Why do any think they perpetually offer the scam of 11% rebate, its so they can get you back thru the door. And f.y.i. the four star overall reviews score is completely phony.

I had an awesome experience by a guy that knew about plumbing. My faucet head on my kitchen sink was leaking. I just stopped Don and asked what I do. He took me to the plumbers tape and a washer to fit. He told me how to install the tape and add the washer. Being a female I came home and did exactly what he said. The turned on the water and I could wash my dishes without water going all over. My thanks to Don my 🙌
Called the Wyoming store, asked if I could return a push mower as it stopped working a year after I bought it- a manager said I could return it. I was amazed they said I could and was very impressed.Brought it into the store and they then said I couldn’t and wouldn’t accept it because I couldn’t remember who I talked to. I would recommend NOT buying any lawn equipment from Menards as they wouldn’t stand by their word.
Not a bad place to shop as far as big stores are concerned unless you actually would like some help, lol. But hey at least they still have enough employees to be open.
Good store, reasonable prices just wish employees where more knowledgeable on answering questions about which sheets of wood to use on household projrcts.

Went to this store to get stakes for our tomato plants and the twine to tie them up. Asked a person that was working in lawn and garden if she knew. My answer Im only a cashier. Went to the service desk. My answer . Its in the lawn and garden area. Needless to say, never found it. Purchased what we had. Cheaper price than where we went but, much better service. Wont go back to Merds anytime soon!!!

1st time being here. Had to replace a vinyl fence I bought in Holland but they didnt have anymore so I drove to gr. The casher with tattoos on her left arm was really professional n kind. Made the whole process easy. Thank you.
Would give 0 stars but that wasnt available. I special ordered items and when I arrived, with in the pick up time frame, they couldnt find the items. They were 0 help in locating them and showed 0 sympathy or any level of customer service skills. Go to Lowes or anywhere else.
Always disappointed when I have to shop here. They have a terrible selection and very low inventory. They are still requesting that all customers wear masks. They are not enforcing it but still hate shopping here. I have been shopping at Lowes and love it. Only go to Menards a couple times a year for things I cant find anywhere else.

I usually find great deals at Menards so no problem there. But the customer service is not very good, and mind you this has nothing to do with being short staffed. I purchased fencing material from them on a Thursday and had it picked up on Tuesday of the following week. They didnt have all of my materials I paid for and I was told I had to wait until the next delivery. I was ok with that,so I called a week later to ask if my panels were in, they said no it should be 3-5 days. Okay I waited another week and called back and was told its not there and they didnt know when it would arrive. The person was very dry, unfriendly and unconcerned about my issue. Um hello I PAID FOR THESE THINGS!! I was over it went to get my refund for the materials they owed me. 😕very disappointed
Do not recommend, ordering is garbage, GM is trash and not sympathetic at all. Total trash will not shop ever again. Go to the forest and cut your own wood you will get better service there.

I placed the ordered over the phone, and set up a delivery day and time. They said it would be sometime between 7am-noon. They were here at 8:30. The driver was very nice, plus very safe when putting the materials in our driveway 👍🏻

All I can say is yum! This place is good, you get the limes, onions,radish,and jalapeño on the side. Just ask for it😊 true fan fare and priced very reasonably.
These people are extremely unhelpful. I kept getting passed around from person to person because no one knew anything about home improvement. The manager in electrical Alex is clueless. I asked him for a vent hood reducer and he said is it for a vent ? He then didn’t know where I could find one after not being able to tell me how to find an electrical part. The other two girls I had asked first didn’t know either and had gotten him. Never will be back. This place is a joke. Save your time go to Lowe’s. Every time I go in here is a nightmare. My cashier couldn’t find the bar code for my product so he shrugged his shoulders and put it in my cart. We ended up leaving laughing because there was no way that people working at menards were that clueless about home improvement.
We have made multiple late orders that need to be picked up in the lumber yard out back. When you pull into one of the numbers pick up spots do not bother calling the number on the sign, there is no one manning the phone. When you go inside do not expect someone at the desk to help because there is no one manning the desk. Once someone does arrive to assist you, do not expect them to be able to find your order in a timely manner because it most likely will not have been entered into their computer with the correct bay number. In short if you plan on doing a order that needs to be picked up out back, pack a lunch.

My experience with this Menards has been a comedy of errors and apathy. I am currently building a deck on the second floor of our house. I ordered materials from Menards back in early April. They said everything was in stock and would be delivered the following week. Unfortunately, we soon found that wrong product was delivered and some product not delivered at all. By this time, the old deck had been taken down and the new deck was half built. The product we were missing was imperative to the railing around the deck. We have a couple year old who knows how to open the door to the deck and now we have a deck with no railing on several parts. When I called to resolve this issue, I was consistently told they were ‘looking into it’ and I would get a call back. That call back never happened. I ended up speaking to several employees before I finally spoke to Nick the GM. They told me the material I needed would be in until July. Needless to say, I was never informed that that they were short any product before or after delivery. Upon independent research, I found that the Mt. pleasant store had in stock the product I was missing. I thoroughly expected the Wyoming store to send someone to retrieve this for me given that this was product they had promised to me during my initial delivery. Boy was I wrong! Instead of doing the right thing to make the customer happy, this group stayed firm in their position that they could not send someone to Mt Pleasant to pick up the product. Meanwhile, the lack of this product caused my contractor to stop dead in their tracks. After several more phone calls and empty promises to call back, I finally drove up to Mt pleasant myself to retrieve the product. When I got to Mt pleasant, I fully expected someone from Wyoming to have made them aware that I was coming. Nope! Had to waste more time explaining my situation to get another Menards employee. The count was now up to 9 different employees I had spoken to about this issue. I was expecting some level of discount or heck, even an apology, that never came. I used to be a fan of Menards. As a business owner myself, when my company fails a client for any reason, we make sure we do everything we can to make it right. I felt that this group wasn’t willing to do what it took to keep a client happy. Very disappointed. I will continue to escalate this issue to corporate.
We ordered wood for a new deck from here and got it set up to be delivered between 7 and noon on a Monday. No one showed up. Emailed customer service who said that “oops, someone left your order on pending instead of confirmed. How about Friday between 7 and noon.” Ok. Friday rolls around and nothing. Contact customer service again and we are given nonanswers and they set us up for delivery on Monday. The company they contract with to deliver the wood dropped it all off in front of my garage. I waddled my very pregnant self outside and said I have an Doctor’s appointment and you’ve completely blocked me in. The third party delivery guy says “too bad. I don’t work for Menard’s. It either stays there or I take it back to the store. Not my problem.” Just horrible customer service, missing delivery dates, requiring you to track down where your stuff is, using unreliable and rude third parties.
Menards is always a good place to shop. Friendly service. I can always find what Im looking for and I love their rebates.
I usually love Menards but looking at the amount of dead plants in the plant department is very upsetting! Nobody bothered to water any of them and I am seeing trees and plants that are marked $25 and up completely dried up and tossed out. The amount of $$ lost is overwhelming! I did buy two lavender trees hoping to get them healthy for birthday gift. I have been looking for them and out of luck everywhere else!

Any Menards I have shopped is always a pleasant experience. Im rarely shop the Wyoming store, but today I needed blinds cut. I called first and JJ answered, he was knowledgeable, patient and kind. He was able to answer my question over the phone and preceeded to pull what I needed and said he would set it aside at the flooring and window treatment desk. The blinds were waiting for me when I arrived. JJ asked several questions about the width of the window, how long it was, and if I was hanging the blinds inside the window frame, or outside of the frame. These were all questions I had not taken into consideration. I decided to purchase the blinds and hold off on having them cut until I could find out the answers to his questions. JJ was a huge help!The Wyoming store was clean and the departments were well signed. Other employees were also friendly and eager to help. It made my shopping experience quick and efficient.I would suggest downloading the Menards app, after searching for what youre looking for, it will show you where your item is locate in the stire. This saves a lot of time. The app will also tell you if your product is in stock and if your item is out of stock you can check surrounding stores for product availability.The app has a search field and a bar code scanning feature which come in handy while shopping.I have also ordered online and picked up my items in the store. This process was easy to navigate on the app and in the store.Over all, the Wyoming store was a great shopping experience. Ill definitely shop there again.
I used to go to Menards. Never again. I have had so many people tell me in this last year that the staff is beyond rude demanding masks be worn. Other stores are able to be kind to those who can not wear a mask. Not sure why Menards choose to be so ridiculous about it but they have lost a lot of customers who use to go there. Home depot and Lowes give ALL people respect. Thats where I choose to shop.
I ordered $1,200 worth of materials for a retaining wall & they said that it would be delivered on May 13th. Between 12:00-6:00 pm.Im on the job site paying a crew to be there and it was going on 2:30 so I thought I would check on my delivery status. They said that their truck broke down and that I would not get it until the following week. I had another job scheduled for the following week so I had to rearrange my entire schedule.I said why didn’t I get a phone call????He said, well, we are short staffed!!! 😡😡😡😡😡It takes 30 seconds to make a @&&$&&@ phone call!!!!!!Not Happy!!!When I called Nick the General manager to voice my concerns, he just transferred me to delivery!!!!Piss poor service!!!😠😠😠

I might not have agreed with all their extreme mask policing they did during covid, however they continue to have decent prices and alot of the things you need for a home. We did our kitchen with them years ago and it still looks nice. I go to Home Depot, Lowes and Menards like most people and compare prices.

Confusing pickup experience. The man at the pickup location was the only helpful person I talked to. Maybe inside it is better. Seemed like a lot of employees standing around talking and many customers looking for employee help.

I have been a loyal customer since 2000. I first heard of Menards when I applied at LANW location. I was hired on as part-time for the store open. I moved up quickly to full time and AP. I LOVED AP! I never would have left Menards but after 6 faithful years my position was eliminated. I was offered several promotions when I worked for this company. Menards takes excellent care of their employees that want more.As for being a customer, I LOVE Menards. Anyone who knows me knows my love language is Menards, From decor, home improvements, holidays, and more. We like to say it is Ideaface Headquarters. Mama Bear loves!! We are Love aLive YO!I would LOVE to see Menards be more involved in community development and support. As a family owned company it would be cool to see Menards have a tv show that improves families lives. Menards is totally cool enough to pull it off.
Had exactly what I was looking for
Missed out on a $50 rebate on a furniture purchase because of a lazy and unknowledgeable employee who didnt feel like doing their job when asked simple questions about the rebate process. Not to mention the furniture is absolute JUNK! I will not be returning to menards stores in the future.
Store was clean. They still, of course, require masks. They were relatively busy but we were still able to quickly get help with what we were looking for. They had the light that we were looking for but it was the only one left and the box was a it beat up. Good experience overall. Will get the light at some point but maybe at one of the other Menards.
Great customer service. Questions were answered, help was given. And I even had some assistance at the self-help saw, which was greatly appreciated!
11/23/2020Purchased steel roofing for my home on September 23rd. Was told I would get an email when it arrived. No email but I was able to track down my order eventually. Then they lost my steel roofing. I had to reorder it. Suffice it to say that promised delivery dates came and went and here we are at November 23rd and I still dont have my steel roofing. I had workers at my home to install the steel roofing after Menards did finally deliver materials on Saturday November 21st but when the workers arrived to install the roof on Monday, they found that the delivered materials didnt include the steel roofing I have been waiting on for two months. Menards showed no desire to work with me to make it right. They dont care about customers service. I am so frustrated with their poor service and disregard for customers that I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the Federal Trade Commission. Will never shop at Menards again though I have spent many thousands of dollars there this year remodeling my home

Customer service here is terrible. No one says hello. You have to hunt for someone to help. Asked about a remnant rug with no label and he says I dunno, well how much will you sell that to me for, he says i cant sell without a label, serious??? Ordered a cabinet online so I dont have to go in order was ready but took 40 min at store to get it. Terrible customer service!!! I spend so much money there, many people do, but we expect good customer service!!!

Entered and walked through the entire store without a mask.once I got to the checkout the lady told me she could not check me out without a mask. I asked if she sanitized the card reader after the last customer (knowing she hasnt) and she refused to answer. They are so concerned about customers following the mask guidelines but fail to do there part by sanitizing between customers. Prices are ridiculous. I will go to home depot down the road from now on.
Terrible service. Multiple times I have ordered products online, that said there were more than one in stock, only to show up and be told there are none available. I try to call to change to another store, and both this store and Alpine store tell me to call the other store. When I say I did, I get an endless hold. Horrible customer service. I cant even cancel my order now, as they keep redirecting me.

Visited two days in a row. First day, with my mother and we were looking for dehumidifier. Online website showed many options. In store, not much selection available. Store employee indicated that the dehumidifier is a seasonal item and the store was in the process of changing out the seasonal items. Second day, wanted to purchase various outdoor items. Tried using the Menards app while outside the actual store, in the landscape items area. The items were too heavy for a cart and Id wanted to be able to drive in and pick up. The Menard app refused to accept my email, my daughters email, etc. Too many problems with the app. Returned inside store, tried cashier, then guest services. Management ignored guest service employee. Guest service employee suggested the building supplies services for a order ticket . Returned again to go through yet another cashier to purchase items. Finally, able to pick up the items Id wanted. Just spent far too long in line.......frustrated from the experience. Next time, I will contact the building supplies services first ......
Always the worse experience! The last 4 times i have gone to pick up orders for my mom a friend or myself. No one ever has any idea whats going on! Today they tried to give us white tile when we ordered gray then had to wait an hour for them to figure there mistake out. Its clearly printed on the paper why is it sooo hard!!!! And that goes for Clyde park alpine and byron center locations i too thought maybe it was one store not all! Then the way they want to treat you is horrible my old man is a ptsd combat vet and the general manager brock literally tried goating him into a physical altercation! Not ok we will not be back not even to help someone else out and pick their order up for them always a headache always over and hour hunting for what should be ready and the worse staff EVER!!!!!!!!!
So after years of shopping at this location while we lived in the Wyoming neighborhood I continued to shop here even after I moved across town. But today we purchased a wagon and it was supposed to be pulled for us to pick it up and we waited an hour after making the purchase online to give them enough time to pull the item and then when we finally arrived and waited for almost half hour they told us they can’t find the wagon even tho it shows that they have 14 of them in stock. They looked for it for a while and then just gave me the money back for the wagon instead of offering me a different wagon at a reduced price for all the trouble. By trouble I mean driving all the way from cascade area to 54th st and having a crying one year old in the car and waiting for half an hour and that’s after giving them an hour to find and pull the item. So I called the store on the way home to vent my anger to a manager and of course no one picks up so here I am writing a review which I really never do but as far as I’m concerned that is the last time I will ever step foot in that store and spend my hard earned money. I’ll just go to Lowe’s which is 1.5 miles from my house. Thanks for the horrible service after years of shopping there.

Absolutely horrible, web site said they had wood. Got there had three pieces of what i needed site said 80. They had the wood i needed in middle of the yard and noone wanted to unstack it for me. So they actually had it but noone would get it down for ne.

This store has great products at decent prices. However, their employees are the WORST. They are worse than WalMart employees, and thats saying something. I went to look for a sled today, after asking three different employees and walkng around the entire store, I found out they did not have any in stock. When I asked one of the employees if they will get any in stock, he said maybe next fall, without confirming anything with a manager. Awful, awful customer service.
Another place that I just love and hold up in if a zombie apocalypse all of a sudden popped off. They have everything from my absolute favorite lemon lime drink to cement sheets for my bathroom floor: those are for the new tile lol. Oh yeah, I give them 5 stars cause they only give me 5, or I would have made it a 10. 😁😁😁

When they have an employee walking around looking for people without masks, it creates a very uncomfortable experience. Most people are walking around with dirty cloth masks, or it rest right under their nose. This is security theater at its finest. The representative politely asked me to leave and I had to take my business elsewhere.
Menards has become my go to for most of our home improvement needs. Their selection is great. The prices are better than most and their people are very friendly and helpful. They are very good about returns. If it doesnt do what you had hoped, they take it back.

I went there for stone for a retaining wall I am building. I went to Lowes and Home Depot, in addition to Menards. I found way more selection and way better prices at Menards!
Its a decent place to pick up most hardware and tools. Smaller business than Home Depot, but not exactly local. If you need something standard, pick whichever is closer. As of May 27 2020 they have signs up denying entrance to children under 16, but I saw a kid or two walking around inside.
My family will not be patronizing this Menards location anymore. The customer service I received was among the poorest Ive ever experienced!I ordered building materials weeks ago and every time I went to the website to track the order, the status of the order reflected the same message up the the day I received the shipment. Because of the lack of update, I started to call the store to get an update from someone in that department. Every time I called and entered the extension for the delivery department the phone just rang and rang. Whenever I would hang up and enter a different extension to speak to a manager, I was told by that manager that I needed to speak to someone in that department. Eventually the delivery came and we were not prepared to receive it because the tracking information never updated. When the delivery driver came, I was working/in the middle of a meeting and my husband was in the bathroom with our children. I answer the door and he says I have your Menards order. I ask him how come I didnt get any notification that the shipment was coming? and he says if you dont want it I can take it back. WHAT?! After more confusing and continued threats from him to take my shipment back, he made the delivery and left. Days later when my contractor came to being work he showed me that most of the fencing panels I ordered were garbage..completely unusable. This caused us to lose two days of work with the contractors. When called the delivery manager to share all of this with him he said that they would pick us the old panels, deliver new ones and refund me 50% of the amount I paid for shipping. The old panels were picked up and the new ones were delivered but I have yet to receive my refund and its been more than the time they told me to expect my refund by. Ive been calling for two days trying to get confirmation on whether the refund was even issued and the department manager is unavailable every time I call and the store manager was dismissive and unhelpful. Now I have to waste time going to the store, finding the department manager and hashing this out. RIDICULOUS!! I always prefer to shop/spend local when possible but I will gladly give my money to Home Depot and Lowes to avoid the unsatisfactory product and service.

So my husband gets told to put his mask on over his face properly. Really you have employees that didnt have their mask on properly. Went to the yard to pick up some bricks and waited in line for 1 hr and 4 minutes. Really 1 car at a time!! The cashier we had in the garden center was not a friendly person at all. I get it is the holiday weekend and it was busy because people are finely getting out, but really put on a smile or find a different job.
The people at this store are not very helpful in answering questions the customer asks, they refer you to another department or dont answer the questions at all! To Big City attitudes!! Ill stick to the Rural Stores like Ionia where they are Very Helpful and Courteous!
While shopping I asked for help excuse me sir he responded to me with uhhkk...yeah?, so rude. We bought a garage door, went to the yard, the gate attendant didnt tell us were to go and we forgot to ask, when we went to the pick up area three workers didnt seem to want to help us so I yelled over to ask where we had to be. They didnt seem to know, once they figured it out we went the to loading area to wait 20 minutes to find that two hillows were still over at the pick up area, no one radiod to help us, then we found someone in a different loading lane to help us, his name is Jaron! He was awesome! As we went to leave a younger gate attendant was there and didnt even realize we pulled up we had to go knock on the door for her to realized we were there. Only reason I gave two stars is because of Jaron!! If you need stuff done ask for him.
