Ordered cash and carry on 8/6/21 from Aaron B- was told 3 days- then they found defects and had to order from another store to get the second piece done- a week later - was told both were ready- got there and only 1 was done and was told second needed bound. Took the one home- was not square and measured off by 4”! Dan- the manager- told us he would get the second one down personally- 2 weeks later it’s still not done. Called today and it cannot be located to let me know if it’s done or not. So we have 1 piece which is crooked and the one bound edge is awful- and still waiting for them to find the second piece. Would love to share pictures of what we were sent with the 1st one- ready to roll it up and take it back for a full refund! Terrible customer service and not square sloppy bound product was send out of the store! Do NOT shop with this company! Update: after posting this I was told it was ready- went to p/u today - they opened it up- binding was much better and more square- BUT it was 11’x22’ and it was to be 12’x20- we were fully refunded. We will shop elsewhere- Dan the manager was kind and didn’t give us a hard time about the refund.
I ordered online which was very easy to do; however, I never got a call or email about when it would be ready to pick up. I gave it about a week before I called the store. The person i talked to was very nice and helpful (Tori) and after a short conversation she said it was in the building and that shed need to check with the warehouse to make sure it was ready for me to pick up. When I went to pick it up the following day they had misplaced it in the warehouse and I was stuck waiting for 20 minutes while they looked for it. Everyone that I talked to was very pleasant, but they didnt even know I ordered anything until I called because online orders go through their email system instead of being processed automatically.Overall a positive experience, but you need to be on top of things if you order online.Edit/update: so I went to install my carpet and found that they gave me the wrong dimensions... they gave me an equivalent square footage, but with the size being three feet shy I cant use it. I called immediately and they are working to fix the mistake.Edit/update 2: the manager at the York location (James) was able to find the correct carpet I ordered and has it being delivered to my house to exchange with the incorrect piece free of charge. I was very happy that he made this happen so quickly. Again, the staff here are terrific people, I just wouldnt recommend ordering online.
Really the only place in the area that has a selection of flooring that won’t break the bank.. Do yourself a favor and install carpet or vinyl yourself or hire someone else too. I’ve been fighting with the store to correct a faulty install for a few weeks now and it seems to have taken a back burner. Again this store’s product is quality ( what you pay is what you get)… Install your self( they will not use a full room stretcher just a knee kicker, communications between store and third parties are limited, sub flooring will not be prepared properly, step up plates will be wrong styles or installed incorrectly, trim work will hastily thrown down. To summarize, products are solid, sales staff is friendly and knowledgeable, installation crew is focusing on quantity not quality.
This was the worst experience Ive ever encountered. The installer was not professional, The sheet vinyl I ordered was not cheap and the installer under-cut the vinyl...left glue on my baseboards, seamed it in the middle of the tile design, left a large gap between my kitchen and laundry room, tore my bathroom sink from the,wall, glued the quarterounds to my baseboards, ripped the facing from the base of my kitchen cabinets off and broke one of them...then glued it back together sloppily. Made me turn my AC off in 95 degree weather and sit in the heat for 5 hours, breathing in glue fumes, played music very loudly, and used my driveway to cut the vinyl, collecting dirt and pebbles on the under side, causing pitting on the vinyl. I have been waiting weeks for this to be either repaired or replaced....the installer either cancels or doesnt show up. Im waiting now at almost 12 pm, for an installer that should have been here between 9 and 10 am. NOT HAPPY!!!I have called several times over the weeks and Im completely done!!! Next call will be to an attorney. 10/4: My reply to the response posted after this review: The issue is scheduled to be addressed on 10/8.Not satisfied yet until its done. Also, I called Corporate and left a message for T. Fletcher and never received a call back. Thanks.
Purchased a new home and went to this company to have flooring installed before we moved in. The date of completion of the floor was the same day we were moving in. We arrived at the property in the evening to move in and walked into my bathroom floor, hallway, and basement flooded. I made a frantic call to the third party installer that night and he did not pick up the phone. He sent back a mssg via txt saying he was sorry this happened to us, all he did was use the bathroom like any normal person. He actually used paper towels because no toilet paper was here yet. Went to the store the next day they said it would be taken care of. All week we were blown off. We had to call our insurance company to get something finally done because it was sewage. When he got back to us he pretty much told us they cant do anything but give us whatever the deductible might be because its going to turn legal now. So 30 k of damages done because of their installer and they offered 1k . The floor we paid 5k for is being torn up in less then a week of installation as well. At minimum they should have reimbursed us for that. STAY AWAY!!!!

So, I foster dogs.... homeless ones with all sorts of special needs. I needed flooring that was going to be durable, attractive and water resistant.... and affordable because as a homeowner who is single, fix it up projects are expensive!! The sales guy wasnt as knowledgeable as he could have been but he was SUPER nice and helpful. We put the floor in ourselves, it took a day. The dogs are very happy! Thank you!!

We wanted to thank Aaron for his professionalism in assisting us in installing new carpet throughout our home.He was able to complete a home estimate in a very timely manner and then assisted us in choosing just the right type of carpet for our Home!!He placed our order and once the carpet was in house, Aaron and the staff assigned a date for install.There were several dates to choose from and great follow up by the installer.Our installer, Angel, called the day before to confirm the time he would arrive.He arrived right on time and he and his assistant were able to complete the entire install (including furniture moving) all in one day!!Would definitely recommend Carpet & Tile Mart!!!

I went into Carpet Mart in York, Pa yesterday to find something for my bedroom floor and it was one of the best experiences Ive had in a long time! I worked with Joe Marshall and he treated me like I was the only customer in the store!He tried so hard to find the particular area rug that I saw on the website and I thought it would be perfect for my room, but when we finally found it, it was much too dark, so he led me all over the store to find something else I might be happy with and mission accomplished!Now I dont know if all the consultants are like him, but he was so patient and caring that I found something I liked, that I will try to deal with him again when I go back to the store. He was the best !It is so rare these days to find someone willing to help to the extent that he did for me!

What a horrible experience. We called to have someone come out and give an estimate for our hard wood floor repair. Aaron (sp?) came out took pictures, took pictures of the box of flooring for replacement, took $35 in cash and said hed be back to us in a day. Its been 2 weeks, no call, no estimate. We got a hold of him and he said hed call us back. Never did. Every time we try to call him and call the main Mart line its a ring no answer. Im disgusted in the poor service not to mention the money they took from us. Please dont use them! Theyll rip you off.
This is by far one of the worst places I ever deal with. From the very beginning when Randy came with his crew and complained to me that he had to move furniture and he didnt have time for this, that he had 3 other places that day to go to. Flags went up everywhere. After a poor installation job, they came back and tried to correct it, but that a long story by itself. I eventually told them I didnt want Randy anywhere near by house. The tack strip around the fire place never did get straighten out. Sometimes, I had appointments made and they never showed up. Then one day he said one of his best guys quit. I think I understand that base on poor management. After talking to store manager many time, I ask for some money back so I could hire a real carpet installer. He said he had to go to corporate office to get approved. Well after another trip in, its been 6 weeks and I have now made the decision to go to small claims court. This is a place you do not want to do business with. Lower prices, yep, probably so, but you can see how they do it. And by the way, when I ask if they use their own people, the sales person lied and said yes. No, they use third party people. What she really meant that they use their own contractors. Big difference. I dont normally post stuff like this, but I feel I need to let others know there is much better places out there for flooring, carpet, etc.

I want to thank the manager James for taking care of us. We had our install done with a few problems and James made the situation right without any hesitation. He continues to have a great attitude and is very helpful. I had two jobs done through carpet mart along with buying several rugs from them and they have always been very fair. Thanks again
We were serviced by Johnathan who helped us choose carpetting for three rooms in our home. We were told that we could return sometime between 3 and 4 oclock pm. We called and were told that it all wouldnt be ready for another hour when we called at 3:30 pm. When we called again we were told it would be another hour of a wait. We decided to just head to the store to get our refund. We were talked out of it and waited another 25 minutes until the stuff was ready. While we waited around back for the carpetting, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the carpets to be wrapped in plastic. I was very disappointed with the slow service and unkept promises. We will not be returning to shop there anymore.
Buying a floor. IVP. Rigid vinyl. ARRON BERHOW at carpet and tile mart in York on Kenneth road was extremely helpful👍. Very well informed on the product. My knowledge of the product before I saw Arron was solely based on the color I liked from a sample that I had picked out from the store prior and some specifications like the thickness of the wear layer. Arron educated me on technical aspects such as PSI and SPC and more. He compared products and their pros and cons and made Recommendations. What was uncanny, was that without me telling him or showing him pictures of my house and floors, he knew instinctively of my aesthetics, and that I did not have a lot of natural light in my home which is exactly true!!!!! He could read my mind, my choice and my apprehension.WOW. He has, thru experience the ability to evaluate his customer very well thereby being of great service to them !! I am very pleased. Thx. Our carpets were installed by Randy and his crew. These guys were early, very friendly, extremely efficient and ran like a well oiled machine. We will be requesting them as our installers again when we start our next flooring project. Our rooms looked awesome!We were waiting for a call back about installation and didn’t get that call, but we were on top of the communication, so we ended up with installation on Friday instead of Wednesday. Fortunately Randy and crew were awesome and took care of us.
It was a long process of finding the perfect carpet before we went to Carpet Mart. After we walked around, we were helped by a gentleman named Aaron, who was outstanding. He was knowledgeable about the different styles and helped us pick out the perfect carpet and padding for our family.The installer they sent was absolutely phenomenal as well. My new floors look stunning and Im glad we waited and shopped around before settling with an overpriced carpet.Trust me, you wont need to go anywhere else.
Store manager was great; because I had carpet left over after the installation, he advised the store would bind it so we could use it elsewhere - no charge as long as carpet was purchased there. This is so appreciated, keeps brand new carpet out of the landfill and allowed us to update other areas of the house. Reasonable prices, large selection; would purchase here again.
Extremely disappointed with the handling of our whole experience. We specifically requested a specific installer and when it came time to have flooring installed we were told that they did not have that request on the order and that installer was booked for a month and not available. The installer they sent out called off the first day that we were set to have install which was extremely disruptive to our schedule as vacation days were used in order to get the flooring done. When the installer did come only 2 days were set aside for a job that which we knew was not going to be enough and he then rushed to get done. He hired someone off the internet who had no experience. They were rough with floor removal and install careless with their equipment. Paint damaged on all baseboards. Chuck of door frame removed. Quarter round was installed poorly. Nails were left on the floor which scratched floor. Minimal cleanup was done. Store manager was called and came out and viewed the job and agreed that things were done poorly. Agreed that quarter round needed to be replaced and damaged flooring. When 1st repair man came out he refused to fix damaged flooring, damaged dryer vent not installing quarter round properly the extra flooring that was taken by the first installer which was never refunded they brought one box back and left it outside on the porch. We had to call multiple times to store to get calls back. Eventually the original installer that we had requested repair the areas that we had issues with however the quarter round is different colors. Tried to call the store manager to discuss some form of compensation for all of our trouble and the extra time that we had to take off from work but again received no call back. Very disappointed especially since we had a great experience with our previous whole house flooring install and had recommended them in past. Will never recommend carpet mart or purchase from them again.
Got a great price on Karistan wall-to-wall, installation wasnt horrible and the guys who delivered and installed did a good job.
First time shoppers and lucky us we had Byron Hurd as the fine gentleman who helped us with our purchase. He was incredibly helpful and wonderfully friendly. I know we will be back for flooring in the near future. Great Job Byron!

Carpet Mart has very friedly and helpful employees. They have good prices and they dont try to sell you what you dont need or dont want, which i like. They have the best installers both professional and courteous. If your looking to have carpet or vinyl flooring installed buy Carpet Mart then Juan and his father are the guys for the job. These fellas take pride in their work,they take their time and do the job right. I really enjoyed talking with these gentlemen today and getting to see some pictures of their other work. I have used Carpet Mart twice now and plan on using them a long with Juan and his father again for upcoming projects.
The in-store sales experience with Mike went great. We had some issues with our wait time for all of the materials needed for installation, but the store manager personally called to help resolve situation. Everything was remedied as quickly as possible and the final installation looks great.

Carpet Mart Is a Great Source for Wall and Floor Tile. They have a huge arrangement of quality porcelain and ceramic and plenty on display to mix and match! The Salespeople in the YORK SHOWROOM really know their product and were able to educate my customers and assist in design schemes and color selection!
Recently had a bad experience here. I had vinyl installed in the bathroom. The first thing I noticed was a lump near the door. I’m usually not a complainer but it was so noticeable I had to call. The installer came back and managed to get the scrap of flooring out, but it ended up looking worse. It was indented and wrinkled. My husband spoke to the store manager and he came to inspect the floor. He said it would be hard to fix since it was a solid design and couldn’t be patched. He wanted the installer to see what else he could do with it, even though I think we both knew it would never be right. I asked him what their policy was in a case like this, would they replace it? I was shocked when he said no, but they’d give us a discount on the materials to re do it! I’ve never heard of such a thing! I spent $650 on a small bathroom floor that they installed and screwed up and all they would do is give me a discount!!? I waited a long time to have it done and I can’t afford to do it twice! The installer did try to fix it again, the wrinkles are gone but there’s a sunken it spot and after a few months I’m seeing other bumps and ridges showing the underlayment is obviously not up to par. My husband spoke to the manager who did refund $100. I was not happy with that resolution. I was in retail management and can’t believe that’s the best they could do! I didn’t want money I wanted my bathroom floor to took nice! So basically I guess it’s my fault for not knowing up front that they don’t guarantee their work! Lesson learned. Won’t be using them for any future projects.
Much higher quality than the big box stores, and with excellent installation. They should be your first stop for carpet.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I am probably the easiest person to please, and this entire process has been terrible. I am not one to write bad reviews, but I beg you to read this before going through with installation, if I can save someone the money and most importantly, time.Initial process: the initial buying and estimate process was easy. Once we paid our $2,500, we didn’t receive a call back in over a week. I constantly had to follow up to get an update on where we were in the process of ordering the carpet / scheduling install when I was told i would hear back within two days. Finally, after multiple calls, we got a date scheduled for install.Install #1 (yes, number one of two): The company outsources their installers. Two guys came to do our house (with an out of inspection van) it was extremely hard to communicate due to the language barrier. The entire process took about 9 hours because they did not know what pieces went to each room, so they had to re measure not only the rooms, but the pieces that were cut. Once the final install was complete, there was a HUGE noticeable seam in the living room (main living area for a townhome) before I had noticed it, they were gone. I called and spoke to manager (James) who is the only reason I got answers during this process.Install #2: I got a call on Thursday notifying me that they will be coming back out on Saturday. Didn’t know a time. I had to call James two days to find out finally on Friday that they were coming between 9-9:30. That morning, my husband and I got up, put our baby down for a nap and moved all of the furniture out of our living room. It was 10:00 and no call, no show. I called James to find out that they were running late. HOW ABOUT A COURTESY CALL? The two guys showed up in yet another out of inspection van with a sticker of 05/19, it’s November. Finally, the carpet was complete after they had to come and re seam the living room floor. My living room had THREE pieces of carpet seamed. When it should’ve been one. I have yet to hear a good answer as to what the company can do to make me feel better about this process. The answer I received was “I wish I had a better answer for you”. I wish I would’ve gone through with another company. I asked for a reimbursement on the $207 for install and I was asked to come into the store to spend MORE TIME. I’m done with it. Don’t do it.Pros:- Quality carpet- Easy buying and shopping process- Good pricesCons:- Poor customer service- No courtesy calls- Unorganized- Language barrier with installers / service teamI will never use them for any type of carpet or flooring install again. Too much of a headache. People work hard for their money and to spend $2,500 and receive poor service is infuriating.

If I could leave less of a rating I would. Carpet Mart gave us a 12-2 window to receive our carpet installation. 2 o’clock rolls around and still no word from the store or the contractor. Called to inquire about the status and they simply said “they are running behind.” Contractor showed up at 3:30 (hour and a half outside the initial window) and told me he finished the first job at 12:30 and essentially didn’t know he was supposed to do another install. 🤷♂️Took them 4 hours to do 3 small rooms and a stairwell. Once they were finally finished cleaning up they left the house at 745-8 PM. The quality of the install was good, but the lack of customer contact and service was extremely disappointing. I contacted the manager to complain about the delay and the fact that my kids couldn’t even get in their rooms for bed at a normal time (not to mention the 5 hours of work I missed waiting in their “estimated window.”) and he offered to bind me a couple of area rugs with the waste (carpet I already paid for).I value customer servie above all else and this store has absolutely none. Not only did I miss work (time/money) to wait 3.5 hours for them to show up but they couldn’t even be bothered to let me know they were running behind. I haven’t received this bad of service since I had Xfinity. Would never recomment using Carpet Mart for anything...unless you want bound floor mats, I hear they are great at that.
They charge for cardboard tubes...tubes are free at Lowes. They have great prices on remnants

AWFUL SERVICE!!!! Bought tile from them an ran out, due to us not ordering a little extra. Called and placed an order for 2 more boxes of tile. Only to find out 2 weeks late when I had to call them that NO ONE EVER PLACED THE ORDER!!!! Guess that is what happens when you call on a Saturday night....No one wants to do their job!!!! When I placed another order I was very kind about it and they made another oder right away. I asked for a discount since it was THEIR fault they messed up and the refused to do any type of discount, coupon or anything and they NEVER took responsibility for the mistake!! So Good quality BAD CUSTOMER SERViCE!
