Wonderful experience with the gentleman that made me try on my glasses and the doctor-she was so thorough and kind. Receptionists are a little bit grouchy but knowledgeable so I can deal.

Sadly our rating is due to service Not because of poor examinations. We have been using York Eye Associates as our family eye doctors. Always spoke highly and we were very satisfied always.....up until today! My husband works for a job through the State of Pa that requires safety glasses. His job provides the glasses and is told to have his eye docs office mark and set them up for where his lines for distance ect. Then the glasses get sent back to wahl eye. Well when my husband called to get an appointment to bring in his safety glasses and get them to measure ect...he was told no!!That she spoke to Management and they said nope if they were not selling him his safety glasses they wouldnt do it!! Seriously?? Well he did buy his regular glasses from them. I ALSO CALLED AND was TOLD SAME THING. I SAID WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING AND THE GAL SAID OKAY! LIKE NO PROBLEM AT ALL. WELL AFTER CALLING THE SAFETY GLASSES PLACE THEY COULDNT BELIEVE IT. WELL MY HUSBAND NOW HAS AN APPOINTMENT TO GET HIS MEASUREMENTS DONE at WEAVER EYE ASSOCIATES!!! TOTALLY NEVER BEEN THERE ...BUT THEY ALSO DIDNT UNDERSTAND WHY OUR REGULAR DOCS OFFICE WOULDNT DO IT. Dont like doing a bad review but we feel we have been treated disrespectful and poor service!!. Its actually pretty sad because both doctors are great!!

We were lifetime Weaver patients. First the one in Red Lion and then after he passed away the one in Dallastown. Went last year with the wife and we both had a good experience. This year with the covid it has been not terrific. Our appointments were rushed because the dr had to be at their other location. We turned down extra tests but were told our insurance would cover all or most of the extra tests at most having to pay 15-20 dollars each. We got the tests based on that. Mind you we updated our insurance information while waiting to be seen by the dr.Ordered our glasses and away we went till they showed up. We were not allowed to come in and receive our glasses and have them fit and make sure we could read the chart like Im accustomed too.My glasses were the wrong color and I couldnt read the street signs at the traffic light right adjacent to their location. My wifes had to be redone as they were cut wrong. My wifes was fixed correctly in a reasonable amount of time.Weeks have passed and I havent heard from them about my glasses. Then we get a bill for my wife for almost 90 dollars a far cry from 20. I left a message this morning before they opened and I called around noon and was not talked to nicely and was told they were too busy to talk to me and had no idea when they could. The other week I showed up at their york location to have my wifes ear piece repaired. I did not enter the store but went into the breezeway wearing a facemask and was scolded and treated like I had leprosy. The lady called my wife and said I just cant come there and do that. Again I just opened the outside door and entered an enclosed breezeway till I got someones attention while wearing a facemask. So when we get this all straightened out I will return to weavers in the future and deal with having to make my yearly appointments 2 months ahead and be happy with my service.

Dr. George Hayes is a really experienced optometrist. He knows what he is doing when it comes to eye Care and eye health. I myself have extremely low vision and problems in my vision. I know I could go to an opthalmologist, but I know Im in the best of care with Dr. Hayes. He will always strive to make sure you have the best vision possible whether it be glasses or contact lenses. The staff there are very kind, professional, understanding and compassionate towards your needs. This practice is about helping people and not gauging people out of their money. Just know you and your family are in the best of care at this practice.
