Medications are never ready when promised. Pharmacy lines are always long and just dont move.... Overcharges instead of billing through insurance properly. Seriously, go somewhere else.

The pharmacy at the East York location is ALWAYS, without fail, a terrible experience. The staff is cold, rude and not at all helpful. Every single time. I’m not exaggerating… every single time I go to fill a prescription (and this is a lot, I have several kids - who go to daycare) there’s an issue, or it takes a lifetime to fill it. I always have to get the manager involved and then MAGICALLY… there’s no longer an issue with the prescription… I went there today to fill a ‘script, waited in the drive-thru line for 20 minutes while my sick baby cried. She cried the whole time… when it was my turn the mumbler at the intercom said it would be another 30 minutes… I really hope this location gets replaced with a Walgreens.

Will never go to this rite aid again. The manager working tonight was beyond rude. I wanted to ask about a price check for an iron supplement I was getting since it was $4 cheaper and the cashier called her up. When she got to the register she barely listened to the question before walking away and rudely replying “no” I pretty much had to yell across the store to ask “even it’s your online store” and she continued walking away from me. Your company has lost a $75 purchase from me today- and any further purchases.

Buckle up and PLEASE READ if you have any loved ones who could make the mistake of going here:To start, I pick up prescription for my elderly mother here. DO NOT GET YOUR MEDS FILLED HERE!!! I would leave 0 stars if possible. I have NEVER had a decent experience at this location; almost always leaving upset, nearly in tears, disregarded, and seriously questioning how it is possible for them to make so many errors regarding peoples health/lives; but continued to go there due to convenience and my mother not being ready to switch pharmacies. Today is the last day we will ever set foot in this place again.There is absolutely NO communication between pharmacists and assistants nor any attempts to resolve issues or at the very least answer questions you may have. My mothers doctor has had to contact them EVERY month because they have messed up quantities of the same medication (her breathing meds at that). Today the pharmacist basically told us she was lying about receiving the amount previously that was stated, several older prescriptions were conveniently missing from their system (yet the insurance company was still charged for them...SCAM?), and said that if she did receive that amount that someone working there messed up....what?! They gave her extra medication at least 3 separate times?! I think not. And my god, if that was the case, how many others health is in potential jeopardy if they are regularly making those kinds of mistakes. This isnt even counting the number of times shes been called saying her meds were ready, just to go and they werent even put in the system yet. Or when she asked about what Covid vaccine they had available that day (because there was a sign up saying that) and the cashier just looked at her blankly, not even knowing they had any, said i dont know and couldnt be bothered to check. We are pretty damn patient, reasonable people but enough is enough. Well be going to CVS from now on because it is humanly impossible for any place to be worse than this Rite Aid location.

You need to be omniscient to use the drive-thru. Lane 2 is only for prescription drop-offs even though neither lane is labeled. So if you waited your turn in lane 2 for a pick up, they dont care. I only use this place because its close but there are better options.

ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD AT A PHARMACY. TRIED TO PICK UP A PRESCRIPTION FOR MY HUSBAND ONLY TO BE TOLD THEY HAD PUT IT BACK (HE GOT A CALL THE DAY BEFORE SAYING IT WAS READY). THEN WHEN MY BABY WAS SICK THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO REFILL HIS PRESCRIPTION THAT DAY AND TEXT ME. I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING AND WHEN MY HUSBAND CALLED IN TO CHECK ON IT NO ONE WOULD ANSWER THE PHONE. MY BABY WAS MISERABLE ALL NIGHT AND WHEN I FINALLY GOT AHOLD OF THE PHARMACY IN THE MORNING THE WERE UNAPOLOGETIC AND UNSYMPATHETIC ABOUT THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION. WAIT TIMES ARE ALWAYS LONG AND ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE PLENTY OF STAFF, THERE ARE NEVER ENOUGH OF THEM ACTUALLY WORKING THE CUSTOMER PICK UP DESK OR DRIVE THRU. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND CVS! NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THE ONE IN TARGET OR THE ONE ON EDGEWOOD ROAD.

This is by far the absolute worst pharmacy in all of York county after an intense surgery prescription wasnt available and was told to pick up next day. Five days later we are still waiting on prescription as they are unable to count 20 pills. Never again will we use thus pharmacy and I pray no one with anything life threatening does because you would die before you receive the medication necessary.

Was told script would be ready in 15 minutes. After an hour, still not ready. When I finally do get my meds there was no literature with them and these were new meds. Im definitely switching pharmacies.

I dont know why theyve gotten so many bad reviews. The pharmacy is great and their team has always had my back in dealing with my doctors and insurance companies. The store is always clean, I love their sales on seasonal items at the end of each season, and the staff has always been helpful. For the past year their stock has been low in some areas but with Covid I think they deserve a pass on that one. I much prefer it to Walgreens and CVS. Also I get good discounts through their rewards program.

Every single time I pick up a script here I remind myself to switch pharmacies but its a convenient location for me, unfortunately.The pharmacy always has the worst customer service and if you get to speak with someone on the phone consider yourself lucky. Drive thru and inside lines are always ridiculously long. The employees always seem to be short-staffed and over-worked, which is a shame because its clearly Rite-Aid only caring about their bottom line.

I will never shop in your store ever again. If I could I wouldn’t even give you this 1 star. Your corporation doesn’t deserve it. You should look out for and take care of your employees. Showed up today to pick up a script, and the girl at the drive-thru window was particularly snotty! The pharmacist overheard the interaction and jumped in to save the day, so kudos to him! In a different era in time, I would have made certain that this young snotty brat had a bad day, but I feel sympathetic to pharmacies and hospitals and healthcare at this moment!

Pharmacy always takes at least half an hour longer than stated. Ive called in prescriptions the day before, the automated service said it would be ready in the morning, but when I went in the afternoon I would still have to wait. Been going here for over 6 months, but Ill be switching pharmacies soon. Customer service is usually decent, but never exceptional, and rarely good. The pharmacy takes way too long.

Never have your prescriptions ready when they tell9/12/20Here it is a year later and service has not improved. I have asked my husband to move his prescription s to another pharmacy but he wont said it would be a hassle! But it is a hassle everytime you go to pick up a prescription. Half the time the staff is rude the rest of the time your scripts arent ready when told they would be or they have to be ordered. Im discussed with rite aid

Called with a store question, manager answered my first call. I waited way too long and gave up. Called again, I was hung up on. Called one more time, a Rita answered the phone in a very sharp tone, gave me an answer loudly and very rude. This experience explains why I transferred all of my scripts to Walgreens 5 years ago. Tired of waiting!!! I read the review two down and I have to say my experience has been pretty close to theirs.

I called my wife’s scripts in today at 2:30 and was told they would be ready by 5 this evening. When she got there at 6:30 she was told that it wasn’t ready and she would need to wait another hour because they were back logged. When she got back at 7:30 she was told told it would still need another half hour. This has sadly been the normal since we moved out to to this side of town. Needless to say this pharmacy appears not to have any time management skills or sense of urgency when it comes to dealing with their customers. I would strongly suggest they get in touch with the store off leaders heights road to learn how an exemplary pharmacy is runs. In the mean we will be taking our business back there.

I started using this pharmacy b/c it is close to where we live and the convince is wonderful and Ive given this place so many chances, the service is horrible, the slowest people work here. There is no sense of urgency, Ive tried using the phone service to refill scripts and they are never ready at the promised time, sometimes I go hours after they are supposed to be ready and they are still not filled. I tried dropping off scripts and confirming a time in person and every time they are not ready at the promised time. I dont understand the issue, but it is unacceptable im ready to start going out of my way to a cvs just so I dont have to deal with this pharmacy. Also there is always an excuse as to why they arent ready, I get it sometimes we get behind it happens to everyone but every single time I drop a script off is just ridiculous and Ive been using this pharmacy for 9 months and there has been no improvement.

Told a woman that was crying about her husband passing that he should cry too because of his workload. Makes fun of customers. This place needs an entire employee clean out!!

My Rx is the lowest cost at Rite Aid. However, I dropped my Rx off to be filled at 12 noon. Returned at 7:30pm and prescription wasnt even filled. I had to wait 30 mins for Rx to be filled. Something wrong with this picture.

Ive been using this pharmacy for 6 months and every single time I have picked up my order i have to wait 15-20min past the long window of an hour they said they would have it done by. Also having to wait on my sick daughters medicine. You dont tell someone it will be done in an hour and it be an extra 30min. Aside from them always being late the customer service is horrible and rude as can be. After having to wait 2 hours for my daughters medicine to be ready today I am now taking my business elsewhere. This rite aid needs to evaluate the employees and find better help.

Ive been coming to this particular location for several years now. I havent been super impressed with the customer service. Im partial, in and out typically, no extreme dialog exchange between myself or the techs. They always seem preoccupied or as if our business is an inconvenience for them.Today 4/5 about 12:30pm.... I was standing in line waiting for pick up. No one said be right with you or anything for about 7 min; making eye contact acknowledging my presence... but no genuine attempt. As I walked up to the counter she asked for my name and birth date. Usual... as I finished up answering her typical protocol the tech grabs a piece of paper huffed and repeated to ask me the same two questions??? She then proceeded to ask if I just dropped or if it was a call in. I responded with call in. Before I could give her two coupons I received from my doctor for my meds, she quickly ans rudely spit off my total. I nicely handed over my coupons. She acted as if I just killed her cat. Fiercely grabbing my meds and coupons from my hand. She then proceeded to scold me for my coupons a d waiting.... by saying these should have been given to them prior at drop off. Now they have to back out of this transaction. Ill have to wait 30min until its ready agian? I repeated that it was a call in and was instructed to just give it to them... it wasnt an issue before when I had the same coupons earlier this year for the same meds? She made it sound like it was a major inconvenience storming away. I waited a few min before I walking away from the counter thinking I was going to get further instructions... nope just went on her way.I work in customer service, so I take my experiences at other retailers seriously. If Im a bother or you dislike your job Id kindly ask those that hate working for the public to rethink their career choices. We dont deserve that back lash of your personal life issues nor your bad day. I wasnt rude to her due to being sick (I have no voice to really combat hence why writing this review seems to be a better fit at this time) ... now I was just called back after only 15 min by another tech. Who answered my random question about a product location and she said have a nice day with a smile. Its a lackluster experience everyone but 9/10 times I dislike interacting with this location.
