Frame lenses on the wall are absolutely gross. Covered in finger prints. Was told it was marks from Lysol wipes…. What a joke. The lady that was trying to convince me of that was rude and needs to relearn how to deal and speak to customers. To the lady that did help me “Thank you” for being kind and helpful from the beginning and I am sorry you have to work with people like her. The doctor was also nice. Ended up at another place to buy glasses and they were clean and friendly. Won’t be back to Optical Outlets. It only takes one bad apple.

I called to confirm appointment is not needed to purchase glasses for my kids, when I got there I was not informed that I had to sign in, eventually I figured that out and after my kids picked the glasses they wanted we sat down patiently waiting to be called. After some time I asked one of workers why all appointments are being called, she said appointment go first but it’s company policy not to allow to make appointment just to purchase glasses?! So basically after I waisted 30 minutes waiting I was informed it could take up to another hour…. Again only to purchase glasses!! My kids already have a rx from optical outlet. I will never return, I can spend my money and buy my kids glasses WITHOUT 2 hour wait anywhere!!!

I had already bought a pair of glasses there. They offered to remake my lenses after the first ones didnt work because my cataracts advanced. When I got there I ordered another pair of glasses with sunglass lenses. When I complained about a little bit of paint chipping off the first pair, they didnt do anything about it. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.

Seems good from the outside, but inside the sample frames in the wall have FILTHY [sucio] lenses and I doubt these people have done ANY sanitizing of the frames. HORRIBLE! Employee kept getting closer and closer, and I kept backing up. I finally had to ask her to stay 3 feet away and SHE OBJECTED! Not for everybody.

Worst experience, ordered glasses for myself and husband after numerous pairs we tried on we settled for exactly the same frames somehow the clerk switched it out for a matted style frame that I didnt want but due to dilated eyes we signed the papers assuming the frames we picked were what was on the paper. I was talked out of getting frames my insurance would have covered and came out of pocket for the other pair that was supposed to be a better quality. After 3 weeks of waiting we get 2 different glasses, go to store to ask for refund as we were unhappy with glasses and suddenly they point out no refunds. We have been buying glasses from many places for many years and never had an issue if it came to being refunded for dislike. Never will we go to this place. No where in the store is posted no refunds. Its on small print after you pay for your stuff on the receipt. To add insult they actually sent me someone elses glasses and my husbands were sitting at the store apparently waiting to be picked up yet no one ever called us that they were there. They also bait and switched the frames my son ordered. Absolute sham. The managers stance was they would replace the glasses not refund, why would I want to continue to do business with an incompetent company that hides their return/refund policy until after you make the purchase.

I see that people put this place down a lot, And I had an amazing experience with them, they are busy which is most likely why people get mixed orders sometimes, but thankfully my glasses are perfect for my eyes, amazing doctor I can’t remember my doctors last name, but his first name was Frank. After being vaccinated and having covidd in March of 2020 I thought that would be free to lose my mask. After all if everybody wants to wear mask thats fine but I am not a threat to anybody. I went to optical outlets on highway 41 and Colonial and stepped back into March of last year. Masks were mandatory even if you were vaccinated. They take your temperature. My wife didnt want to use the sanitizer so they made her wash her hands and sent an employee to follow her into the bathroom to make sure she did. Anti science! Rude!

Got eyes examined. Got glasses from them. Waste of time. I still cant see. So I have two pairs of glasses that are just sitting on my nightstand useless.

Horrible experience! It’s a total chop shop! Employees are rude and have no customer service skills. After waiting 40 minutes for my scheduled appointment they were still unable to verify my insurance. Mind you this was all filled out online prior and given again at arrival. You obviously get what you pay for.

So far Im not impressed I was there last week and nobody told me how long it was going to take to receive my glasses so I called today and they said it would be 2 to 3 weeks. If I would have known it was going to take that long I would have went somewhere else. lets see how it turns out when I finally get my glasses

If I could give them a -1 review I would. I took my daughter and she was not able to have exam done because they didnt verify her insurance before we got there and the insurance was down. This is the reason I called to confirm and give them the insurance information days before. Very unprofessional and wasted my time! Do not go here!

Editing to respond back to the owner... The issue is not only the glasses, the issue is that the prescriptions are too strong and caused me and my daughter problems after wearing the glasses for a couple weeks. I appreciate the offer to reinstate my insurance, however after the manager Janelli told me I did not know what I was talking about when I showed her the dirt under the lenses in the frames in front of all the other patients at this location, I will never return again. After years of going there, not ever again. My daughter and I both received glasses one for distance and one for close up and upon receiving them from the lab through the mail mine had a warning on the invoice stating that the edge thickness creeped out 2 mm from the frames. Both of us experienced after wearing them and taking them off, our regular vision was made worse. I wore my glasses two weeks and could no longer read anything up close and resorted back to glasses from 3 years ago. My close-up vision since I stopped wearing them has slowly come back but not fully. Went back for recheck today and was told by the doctor that the issue would be fixed, however the manager Janelli stated there was nothing wrong with my glasses and that I had the correct prescription in spite of visible dirt underneath the clear edge of the frames which she denied seeing. It is most likely do to the lenses sticking out of the frames and the warning from the lab. My daughter was given glasses with a .05 prescription which was medically unnecessary and she is not wearing them as she complained after taking them off everything was blurry. Janelli refused to replace my glasses stating there was nothing wrong with them and that the dirt was not damage. Will be contacting my insurance company as they obviously only care about the money.

Wife Had Eye Exam . Picked up glasses, could not see out of them.I had glasses made in May 20, On Sept 30 20 arm broke on glasses .Went back, wants to charge $42.00 for new frames.Definitely a defect, could just replace with a new arm, said frame only.Do Not Recommend.

Im so thankfull for coming to this place, the staff and the doctor are very professional. I was helped for the only guy in the store I think that his name was Edward or Eduardo (not sure ) but i really recomend to go this office.

This office offers a great but extremely busy office staff, a very kind doctor, and a nice selection of frames! Elizabeth was super to work with; she was able to help my son find frames for his first pair of glasses that make him look sharp while working within the confines of his vision insurance. Took my son to get new glasses he got his exam done etc. And received the glasses 3wks later in the mail. And he could not see out of them. So I had to take him again. The wrong prescription was on them! They re-examined his eyes again and said it was wrong. (No kidding he could not see out of them)so placed new script. Now 2wks later received them and Again wrong prescription again!! Not happy at all!!!

They dont do a proper exam or talk to you about your prescription change or anything. No customer service, and always a different doctor. Basically if you want to be treated just like another number and dont really care about your vision then you should go here

Alejandra & Jackie provided my family great & outstanding services. Dr Moore is extremely knowledgeable. You guys should open up a new location in the Cape Coral área since the area is growing rapidly & there is way to much traffic coming to Fort Myers.

I was seen by Dr.Moore and he was great! Alejandra helped me and was really nice. I wish they were in Cape Coral so I wouldnt have to go through traffic.

My original doctor was not there so I had to see someone else. One I cant even see out my contacts called to see if I can come in and see whats going on and they tell me I have to wait till next month they are booked. But when I went in there they had nobody staff just sitting talking like they dont have nothing better to do very disappointed

I really like this optometrist and staff. Prices are good and they are very helpful. I went in today for contact exam and the young lady, Elizabeth, I believe was her name, was so patient and kind with me. I highly recommend Optical Outlets on Fort Myers.

Very quick and very easy, they got me filling out paper work right away, went in got my eye drops in, while waiting for my eyes to settle they done let me pick out my glasses and get the computer work taken care of, got my receipt went in for the doctor to examine my eyes and I was done just like that. I dont do reviews often but this place definantly needed one ✅

Workers are very helpful with making appointments, helpful with information that you might would want to know, etc. such great people. The center is very clean. Optical outlet is amazing. Dr. T was super nice, very quick, and really cares for his patients in the most professional way possible. The staff work together as a team and everyone treats you like family. The office manager is truly God sent.

I had a good *FIRST* experience from Optical Express. Everything went very quickly maybe, because I was their last appointment of the day? They probably wanted to hurry up and get out which was fine with me. I Was able to pick out glasses, have an eye exam, ordered glasses, PLUS *PAID*. I received an email stating that my glasses were ready to be picked up. Great! Second visit, got there, stood around waiting for a few minutes until an Employee greeted me . She then said, “Put your name on the list” keep inmind that they’re 4 people ahead of me waiting already. I was just coming in to pick up my eye glasses that were already *PAID * . I literally thought I was going to be in and out, but NO!! So I waited and waited then I couldn’t wait any longer . I really hope my glasses are still there waiting to be picked up. I will be there when they first open .

I just want to point out how great the doctor was. I took my daughters to get checked and he was able to catch that my little one was lying to get glasses!!! She really wanted glasses but really didn’t need them. My older one especially loved the lady that helped her pick out her glasses. The original frame she wanted was wayyyy out of my budget but she took her time to help her find similar ones that were more affordable. I think her name was Allie or Alex? I recommend her to all mommas, she’s great with kids! I do think the place is kind of small though and with how busy it was they should probably expand. Still giving 5 stars because the service was above and beyond.

This place is awesome, the staff is great. Doctor More is excellent and there store manger Yanely goes above and beyond to provide premier service. If I can rate this place 100 stars I would. They make you feel very welcomed and they work with any situation you bring to them. I will not go anywhere but this store!

Deyanira was AMAZING she was so calm and sweet while I was trying to figure out my contacts. She was constantly seeing if I needed help with anything while I was browsing. I had a wonderful experience at Optical Outlets. I had two appointments for my kids, given 5o me on 5he same day I called, and expected to be here for quite sometime, not only were we our in record time, an hour to be exact, the staff were amazing. Yanely, the store manager, was extremely helpful from start to finish. Not once did we feel rushed to decide on glasses, honest options were giving and my kids left with glasses that suited them very well. Thank you, Yanely, Optical Outlets, for your time, patience, and professionalism.

I had an examination and the doctor was rude and condescending, he tried to sell me on bifocals but all I wanted was a pair of readers. He said something to the effect that since I wouldn’t follow his direction, he would just write me a prescription for reading glasses. When I picked up the glasses, they were the worst glasses I ever had. I’d have to hold whatever I wanted to read very close to be able to focus. So they were completely useless for working on a computer.

This optical eye center was very friendly and helpful. I loved the Doctor. He was professional. The office staff was very courteous and professional. I would highly recommend this optical.

Staff and last names of reviewers have A LOT in common.TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND $First eye exam ever and they never even dilated my husbands or my eyes. We are both over 50.We both were back at seperate times with problems. We both were back with broken frames within 1st month.Non existent customer service.Not to mention 340 out of pocket with insurance to be totally unhappy.SHAMEFUL.

The girls seemed like they didnt know how to handle a lobby full of customers. The doctor doesnt greet you at all or acknowledge you. He does get straight to the point but not a friendly doctor at all. At one point he told us to move out the way. Its true he doesnt wait the 15 mins after he puts the drops in your eyes. Its to bad my sons other eye doctor stopped taking hes insurance. The girls are nice and helpful. I think I will be considering another eye doctor for my son.

It was a first time for our family here at Optical Outlets and not our last! Great customer service, great knowledgeable Doctors and very helpful staff. DO NOT GO HEAR! This place is a pure misleading rude and disrespect people. Not only do these people not acknowledge when you walk into the door but do t bother to accommodate until they are good ready. I have been with this company since I was in high school and was tied down because of my insurance until I was finally able to leave. My experience with these people have been the same every time. If I come in for an appointment or a pick up i need to fish for someones attention because they don’t follow their check in sheet and the only thing these people can say is “someone will be right with you” and that same person will just leave for the day ... biggest waste of time especially if you have appointment, biggest waste of money for the worse fragile products and the best part is always double check what you order, they ordered me contact lenses for 6 months in one eye and one year for the other .. lol

The doctor here is rude and rushy. He will not acknowledge you and is not professional. In any medical field you must greet the person explain them of the procedure and proceed. He is a get to the point and bye person. The assistants in the office are disorganized and will sit there accepting walk-ins before you even if you had an appointment with the doctor. The staff are everywhere and have trouble keeping up with a full line of people. Other than that I received my glasses on time, and they are the correct order. Beware of the charges they make. THEY DO ACCEPT MEDICAID.In my case if you have other insurance and you want good quality service?Look somewhere else.

I was very please with our visit to Optical Outlets. My husband and son got their glasses there and they were ready in the time frame given to them. Dr Moore was very detailed in his excamination and great with going over every part of the consult. The staff was very friendly, but I want to give a special thank you to the young lady who took care of them Yadi Rodriguez. She was not only friendly, but polite and very professional. She was patient and help them during the choosing process.Pleased customer!!

Never in my life have I met a Dr as rude as this one. And people take their kids here??? Im sorry but just because the exam price is affordable it is not worth my kids having that kind of experience getting glasses. He rushed everything, doesnt care about your vision or anything just cares about getting as many people in so he can get the money. He never gave me a second to look at the letters to make sure I can see what one was clearer. He just said oh well. I had my eyes checked 2 years ago. And according to him my eyes got so bad since then. He said the other Dr was wrong. He is the worse! Now that I used my insurance I had to spend money out of pocket at another Eye doctors and was given the right script. So if your looking for a cheap place to go, just keep in mind you get what you pay for. A disrespectful doctor who doesnt care for the patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Moore for years now, he is very thorough, and knowledgeable, I recently took my daughters to get their eyes check and he diagnosed my youngest daughter with a medical condition missed by previous Doctors. I couldnt be any happier with the services provided by the Staff here.

This location, I wouldnt recommend to anyone. The doctor was very unprofessional.My 5 year old kept messing up the letters and he said that was normal, thats what most children her age do. No it is not, because she knows all of her letters. Should have just shown pictures. Then he attempted to put drops in eyes, which clearly didnt go in. Then gave her sunglasses like her eyes were really dilated. On top of all that, he was very Rude! I think he met his match today. No recommendations here, to be honest he doesnt deserve 1 star

Extremely fast! I walked in on the 25th of may to receive my eye exam! Picked out my glasses without any rush very nice staff! And they called me the next day to tell me my glasses were ready to be picked up!

I waited more than an hour for an APPOINTMENT. I just simply left after the family that arrived after me went ahead of me. Never coming back here again and wouldnt recommend it.

I felt it was very quick, efficient, extremely helpful. Yanely was very helpful in explaining how to put the contacts in and the process with them, she was also very patient. Also doctor T gave us extra information on my eye condition that we didnt know before.

The doctor was convinced that I just had dry eyes, so I just needed to “wash my eyes” by blinking more & didn’t really need glasses because of how weak my prescription was. Which happened to improve after coming here even though my eyes have been the same for the last 10 years. I went in to pick up my glasses & they seemed to fit just fine. The lady wanted to adjust them & when she brought them back they were crooked & said, “well maybe one of your ears is higher than the other.” This is not my first time having glasses. I will not be returning here. Also, the place smells musty & old.

Just went there today and the employees there were extremely welcoming and tended to me immediately. They even gave me unbiased help with the frames I was deciding on since I couldnt seem to make a decision. Would definetely come here again!

Avoid this place! Yes, they take Staywell, but its better to save up for an eye exam somewhere else than to experience this place.Horrendous customer service. Bad language being used. Rush you in and out. Very crowded. The eye doctor is patronizing. Speaks to you like a child. Very rapid eye exam, like he cant be bothered.Then they try to rush you to pick out glasses.I did my exam, asked form my Rx and left. No way was I going to hassled and then hustled.You cant take the eyeglasss back if something is wrong with them. At least they put a sign out.

Im so frustrated I get there at 6:02 but I did call before to ask about the time and I know I going to be there two to three minutes late but I just want to get my glasses,nothing else I live a 45 minutesthry dont care ofcouse I will be late again so I can never get my glasses because they close at 6 and work untill 5pm thats ridiculos thanks for nothing..... I had the worlds worst experience with this doctor. He was unbelievably rude, had an ego the size of Texas (for no reason I could see) and chewed me out for coming to the back without taking my contacts out first. He also accused me of having filthy contacts, and I had just put in a new set that morning. He also lectured me on the ONLY contact solution brand I should be using, showed me the bottle, but didnt offer a sample size - he was just pushing their brand. He told me I had most likely always been cleaning my lenses incorrectly. Im 52 years old and have worn contact lenses since I was 15 - pretty sure I have that down by now. He then refused to entertain the idea of prescribing me the same lenses I had worn for the past 15 years, that were within my budget.Listening to staff, forced to accept the lenses he prescribed, I realized that I was only going to get six months worth of contacts with my insurance there, so I told her I would try out the new pair and would call them back to order if I felt comfortable in the new lenses after a week. She told on me to the doctor, telling him I just wanted my prescription and didnt want to order lenses that day. He proceeded to tell me that I needed to order the lenses today, and if I didnt open the boxes that I could return them, but I NEEDED to order them from him before I left.Im not a confrontational person, but I insisted in taking a week to break-in the new lenses and would call them to order. They were completely rude (worse than they already had been) after that - Im pretty sure its because they werent going to get a commission on the huge mark-up they had on lenses.I left there, went to Costco, and got an entire years worth of contacts for $1.57 more than I would have paid for 6 months worth at Eye Doctors Outlet. The only reason I went in was because my new insurance listed it as an acceptable place to go & it was close to where I work.Horrible Experience!

I do enjoy their profesionalism and efectivines when dealing with clients. The care team is engaged with the client from the time they make their appointment . The doctor does the time to explain the process and the ladies in the front desk are amazing .Would recomend their services

I had an appointment at 1:45 and by 2:05 I had not even been acknowledged. When I interrupted one of the two girls that were there to ask what was going on she told me that they were busy and they would get with me in a little while - they were VERY RUDE and had no respect for my time as a paying client - I walked out. Do not go here if you expect to be treated with respect!
