Went to Visionworks today as a new patient for contacts. The only person who was not rude in the establishment was the host that conducted the beginning half of my appointment. The DOCTOR and a guy who was a frame specialist was very rude, impatient, and judgmental of what I should do moving forward. Never will I come back to this Visionworks.

I was very impressed with their customer service. The doctor is awesome and very patient. She took time to answer all of my questions and made me feel comfortable, not rushed. The lady who helped me with my frames was also very professional yet down to earth. She explained everything to me and was able to get me the best deal my benefits and the store could give me. Im not too happy with trying to reach someone over the phone. After I left, I remembered something I had forgotten to ask so I called the store. I waited on the phone for 45 minutes and no one ever picked up. Otherwise, I will definitely come back here for my future eyecare.

I had a great experience with VisionWorks of Fort Myers! The first thing that made me extremely happy was that they do a retinal scan instead of using dilating eye drops. That meant no awful headache for me & the optometrist has a better view of my eyes, as well as a record of what she saw. Dr Schwartz, the optometrist, was very knowledgeable, friendly,, & efficient. All of the staff was very kind and helpful. Tricia, who helped me pick out my glasses, was super nice & really good at her job. I am very happy with my glasses & sunglasses! I went to Eye Centers of Florida for many years, but lately had experienced poor service, difficulty scheduling appointments, and a hard sell on things I didn’t want/ need, such as blepharoplasty & progressive lenses. So happy I took a chance on VisionWorks! Every part of my experience was positive!

I absolutely loved this place! The doctor was extremely welcoming and helpful. I went in to get some contacts and a new pair of glasses and walked out with everything ordered and ready to go. This was my first time going to Visionworks for my eye exam/glasses consult and it won’t be the last! I definitely recommend Dr Schwartz for your optometrist needs.

They were wonderful. I was 45 minutes early for my appointment. They took me in right away. The doctor was very detailed telling me everything about my exam. I had a awesome experience .I already recommended them to my wife.

Friendly staff, Dr. Schwartz truly cares about her patients and educates them. The staff who takes of your eye glass orders are knowledgeable and caring. The front desk is friendly as well.

Tricia was very professional and knowledgeable. She made the whole experience of picking out sunglasses and eyeglasses a pleasure. Visionworks is lucky to have an employee as good as Tricia. If you have the chance to visit Visionworks at this location ask for Tricia, you will have a great experience.

Complete rip-off. Trying to charge people for what their insurance pays for. Called insurance myself and called back to speak with the rep, she couldnt have cared less. Pretty much hung up on me.

Dr. Schwartz is FANTASTIC! I decided to try contacts again, which was not easy since I needed two separate presciptions, one to correct my near-sightedness & a different prescription to correct my far-sightedness along with a stigmatism. I had been using cheater glasses for reading & wanted the convenience of reading up close anytime & anywhere. Dr. Schwartz was extremely thorough and passionate about her work. She had patience as I tried a few pairs until I was satisfied with my vision. I never felt rushed or pushed into a pair of contacts that were not a perfect fit, thank you!

Amazing staff! Everyone was so nice. The technology is up to date the the optometrist I saw was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I will go here in the future for all my checkups.

Avoid this place if you value your time and money. I spent over $600 on their buy one get one free glasses deal. Then I wanted to order contacts and had to wait for a trial pair to come in taking 2weeks. Then when I tried them on one eye was totally blurry after trying them on. I called to get it fixed and they said the eye doctor isnt in that day and I have to call back the next day. I call again and they made me make an appointment with the eye doctor again which I already saw and paid to see 1st time. I brought In the contacts and pack they came in to my appt and she says good thing you brought them in the wrong prescription was ordered! So then I have to wait another 2 weeks for trials and I dont ever remember an apology or offer a rush on my new trials. Its been a waste of a lot of time and the place seems to be run down. I used to go to Target optical but due to insurance changes I tried this place out but I would definitely avoid this place. Careless with ordering contacts and messing with my vision is not something I take lightly. Imagine they ordered the wrong prescription on your glasses and you wont see for 2 weeks! Glad I had one last pair of contacts to get through until they get my order right. I’ll be on the phone ringing and ringing for 15minutes with no one picking up when I’m trying to order my contacts And they hang up. I can provide screen shot pictures of my phone call log. AVOID this place I never had an issue with Target optical or eye center in Cape Coral.

From the moment that I walked in, Karen and Mariam were extremely welcoming, even during this pandemic. The wait wasn’t long at all! The doctor saw within 10 minutes of me checking in! They assisted me with finding the right glasses for my face and I’m very happy!!! Every person that I interacted with was polite, professional and a pleasure. Their positive attitudes and knowledge about eye care and eyewear is sublime. I’m extremely satisfied. I highly recommend this office!

Rip off bait and switch, don’t fall for the sale gimmicks. Cheaper to just pay out of pocket at other places than here with insurance. Never going back here!

Beware- Bait & Switch or something like it going on here.  What they did could possibly be illegal, I know I feel very wronged. I was very specific in the type of lens/glasses I needed to be able to see properly. I also explained it was important to find the best deal for my budget & I had narrowed my selection to two different stores.The salesperson seemed so nice & helpful - she kept refiguring the numbers trying different discounts to help keep me inside my budget & still meet my needs (or so I thought) plus win my business. I went over my specifics one last time before the order was placed & was assured they would work great. Win - win, right?Eventhough it was still over my budget  (over $900) I trusted all this to be true & agreed.  If neither of this worked, I was very clear I would have to choose glasses or go with another store.  But nope, she said she got everything to work. I waited over 2 years to be able to get these & I left excited looking forward to my new much needed glasses.Thankfully I paid attention when trying them on & soon discovered the discount was really taking away the specific requirements I needed for one of the glasses. Crap. The other glasses were supposed to be better than my current glasses.  But no worries the guy said,  I can just pay MORE & they will make them correctly & put in what I needed in the first place. WHAT!!  So I need to pay even more?!?! I would not have ordered them in the first place .... oh, but I guess they already figured that out when I was given all those great discounts/not discounts to get my business. So very disappointed.He also wasnt polite when he said what did you expect you paid nothing for your glasses. WOW that was not only untrue but rude.  I made him do the math AND I paid completely out of pocket (not that this should have mattered). He saw he was wrong but it didnt change his attitude & he didnt apologize either.What good are glasses if you cant see correctly?  They thought I knew -really? They thought I purposely spent over my budget for glasses I clearly said would not work or would be useless?NO I DID NOT.

Place is rundown. The chairs have very bad peeling vinyl . The man who fits your glasses wasnt being very kind to a lady whose glasses were wrong. I felt bad for her. He acted like it was her problem.She didnt make the glasses, you did, I wasnt impressed.After seeing that & reading these reviews I have to wonder would kind of issue I would have & how it would be handled.

My daughter recently ordered glasses here, cost her well over $900. She waited a long time & was excited looking forward to her new frames.In times like these not everyone has excess money to spend & every penny counts. She has some extra vision issues & was looking for specific lens options that would help her see better. We went to 5 different stores comparing frames /lens /options & prices. There was a lot of thought & planning that went into her order.Order came in but the glasses werent right. Plus it turns out discounts really means removing options, even though she wont be able to use the glasses without the upgrades. But they could fix it for an upcharge & an extra fee. This is totally unacceptable, my daughter was very specific in what she needed and already paid plenty. This is a very underhanded practice.The gentleman ( I use that term loosely, wasnt nice at all) tried to shift the blame. Plus he made excuses why the other glasses werent right either. We went to our Ophthalmologists office yesterday to look into his claim, and no the gentleman wasnt correct about her old glasses either. ( The Drs office didn’t make them fyi). They are not impressed with Visionworks actions either.We are hoping you will make this right Visionworks. You ordered the glasses wrong & you need to correct them without an upcharge. Either that or refund all her money so she can go somewhere else. Thank you.

I have been going to this location for over 15 years and just recently and for the first time in forever felt like the optometrist and receptionist were on the same page. Which in these times means a lot ! They handled Covid protocol professionally also the added digital eye exam that made dilation unnecessary was a huge plus.

I was helped by a great guy, at Cleveland Avenue, Ft. Myers, Florida. Vision works. Chris. He was amazing. He helped me pick out the glasses I am wearing now. I get so many compliments on how pretty I look. of course, my prescription was well handled by the entire staff so professionally I will be back.

First time using Vision-works. Trisha was very helpful & found the right color & design for me. They seem to take the necessary precautions due to Covid-19. Anxiously awaiting my new frames & new look. }i{

I normally do not review businesses but felt inclined to do so This time. I stopped into Visionworks to see if I could get a repair on my glasses (bought somewhere else). The store was busy but I was acknowledged right away. After a short wait a very nice and professional women came over to help me. Her name was Elizabeth and she was the manager. She fixed my glasses all the while greeting other people coming in. I asked how much and she said no charge but asked me about my glasses. I do have some scratches on my glasses and Elizabeth told me about sales and the doctor. I couldnt do it then but she gave me her card and told me to call her personally when I was ready. I was just so impressed by her kindness and professionalism that I will be calling in for an exam. Thank you.

Great place! Went in on Wednesday to look for new glasses. Elizabeth the General manager greeted me very warmly. Even though I wasnt buying right then she helped me find 5 frames I love. I had so much fun looking. She gave me prices(looks like I am going for 2 pairs) wrote all the info down for me. I will definitely be back to purchase. Great place and I got my old glasses cleaned and tightened.

Heard about Visionworks through my coworkers. They all love the place and I agree! I had a quick eye exam and the doctor was amazing. Super caring and explained everything. Sitting at Vision Works Ft Myers. 6 people waiting to pickup glasses. Took 5 minutes to be greeted & then it was by an optometrist assistant who directed us to the chairs for those waiting for glasses. Also-verbally told glasses take 7-10 days. Asked if the order could be expedited & was told they would try. Called on the 9th day & was told that was erroneous information: takes 2 weeks. I was skeptical about 7-10 days but 2 weeks?! I guess that’s why it isn’t said upfront. Also- asked 2 times about cost of lenses but was not told until we sat down to order. A decent variety of frames, but... not entirely impressed enough to return in the future.

I highly recommend Visionworks. During the first visit Jose assisted. Jose is extremely knowledgeable and attentive. When my glasses arrived I was fitted by Trisha who was also very knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service. I am confident you wont be disappointed if you chose to go to Visionworks.

My sister had appointment that I made thru the website but when my sister showed up the rude front desk lady didnt bother to check her in and when she finally acknowledged her she told she didnt have an appointment I sent a screen shot of the appointment but instead of checking or making a next appointment she dismissed her like she didnt belong there.This the second time Ive had problem with this location so I just told her to Glassworld where they have better service and it want better she got an eye exam and glasses in the same day... Fix your website and youre employees attitudes.

Called in to inquire about eye exams. Spoke to Elizabeth she advised me about my insurance and took the time to go over all my benefits. Again this is over the phone, she helped me understand them and even explained how I could get more than one pair. All I can say is WoW and thank you.

The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and customer service was AWESOME. My eye exam doctor is very good at her job. She was adamant about getting my prescription right and answered all of my questions. Elizabeth was very helpful and good in making sure I got what I wanted in frames and extras. Service was second to none. Fron/m the front end staff to the Doctor that performed my eye exam. Karen at the front desk greeted my girlfriend and I with warm hospitality. My doctor was clear in directions and thorough in regards to the eye examination. Great experience!

I have been coming to vision works for 5 years! 2 out of the 5 years, I have asked to please have my kids glasses ready same day due to certain circumstances, Brian (lab manager) both times willingly stayed! This is an incredible location! My insurance changed providers and they didn’t tell us they switched plans so I had to figure out who I had and who took my plan. After giving this location my information they took time out of THEIR day to call my insurance company and figure out for me! I was blown away by the service I received. I literally sat and ate lunch with my boyfriend while they figured this all out. No one has ever done that for me at a place of business, after that they went ahead and booked me an appointment for an hour after we had been on the phone, which is exactly what I was requesting earlier. He totally listen to me complain about how difficult it is when I leave work and my eyes and my head hurt, and not only that but he offered me a solution. I have been wearing glasses since my childhood and no one has ever given me such service, or listen to me so tho I work in front of a computer all day, and the even recommended a new filter called blue light that should help me see my screen better and we work without headaches. My healthy kids insurance provider changed my child was a client before the change. Reception was very dismissive and the lady that verifies the insurance straight out rude. No social skills, doesnt greet customers etc. Even my child commented on how rude the lady was. The glasses are less than $100I would of paid just for the convenience as I had a prescription already.. Not returning ever!

Visionworks is great! They had my contacts in stock and ready to go. If you have Davis Vision insurance, this is the place to go. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The manager is friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend.

Dr. Phan is professional and friendly, and made the exam experience very pleasant. Tricia helped me choose and order the perfect frames. She was such a big help, and I ended up getting both frames she picked for me to try, both of which I love and never would have picked for myself. I will go back here for all my future eye care needs as well!! Fantastic service!

I dont get where all the rave review come from. It was the worst customer experience/service ever. I paid a lot for my 2 pairs of glasses, even with insurance. It took almost 4 weeks. Nobody called me to tell me about any delays, or issues, etc. I constantly had to contact them, and they couldnt even read their own notes in the system about what the hold up was.Nobody knew anything. I will never go there again, and will certainly not recommend them!

While on vacation my glasses broke. We stopped at Visionworks and I was helped by Kurt. What a great level of customer service The guy took time from his break to help me out and had me on my way within an hour. Can’t thank him enough or recommend Visionworks more. Definitely a great place!

Wow what a great place. Walked in to look at frames and met the Manager Elizabeth. I told her I couldnt purchase for a week or so but she answered all my questions, wrote down frames I liked, and made me totally comfortable. I had glasses on that were crooked and she says girl we have to fix this. And no charge. Cant wait to go back.

I had my eye exam today and I am very displeased with the service. The receptionist was helpful, however the optometrist was extremely rude. She was in a hurry to get me out of there, and had no bedside manners or patience. Very bad attitude for a medical professional, this is honestly the worst eye exam I have ever had. Will never come back. I had high expectations after seeing some of the reviews but consumer be aware. Also, they charge an extra 39 dollars for an exam that is mandatory but I have not seen as mandatory in any other place. All in all very displeased.

Cant even answer simple questions on the phone and are rude. No thanks plenty of other places to call.

I’ve been going to several different vision works for the last few years, and this one was good but slow when issuing items. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and they weren’t busy at all. The woman who helped me was nice, helpful and professional. I told her that my glasses had broke and the sooner I could get a new pair, the better. I ended up getting two pairs. I got a BOGO deal which I didn’t think was much of a deal at first considering the fact that I was being overcharged. After advising her that I was no longer interested she decided to look for some discounts, which then brought the price down to something I was comfortable with. She advised me that it takes 7 - 10 Days for the glasses to be ready. I got mine in 11 days and that’s after I called on the 10th day. Nonetheless I had a good experience.

Dr. Phan was wonderful. She explained everything very nicely and took a good amount of time with me. Kurt explained the sale they were having on eyeglasses and a Karen checked me in and handled all of my paperwork. Very well organized. Can’ t wait to pick up my new lens.

I had a wonderful experience when I went here. Dr. Phan was amazing. She made me feel comfortable, took time to explain everything she was doing during my eye exam and made sure I was informed. Came into the Ft.Myers Vision Works location for definately the best service Ive ever had. I was greeted by Jose, who was by far, professional, courteous and knowledgeable in his field. My first visit (08/2018) to an eye doctor in over 20 years. Was very nervous because my vision had rapidly got worse over the last year. Karen is so helpful and kind hearted, she made me feel very at ease.Dr. Hinshaw.... was absolutely 5 star! Only problem I have is that he mainly works in Naples but he assured me that the other doctors were top notch as well. Everyone there had comforting and outgoing personalities.. loved my experience - which is usually hard to say about a doctor office for me.

Terrible Customer Service

This place is a complete joke the “manager” Elizabeth has no understanding of customer service! In a service based industry, when your staff accidentally removes an appointment that was on the books for 2 weeks your customers should have been accommodated at very minimum!! Rather than apologies or owning the mistake she had nothing but excuses, perhaps the healthcare industry is not for you! Better yet asking to reschedule the two appointments that we were told were deleted by there staff, we were told oh we aren’t even sure what we have available we can’t schedule! This place is a joke, and if this is the “leadership” you have in the facility I’m not sure how you stay open! Complete shame!

I Ordered a new pair of glasses at this location. Jose was very informational and made the visit a great experience. They had a clean store, and a broad assortment of glasses.

3 because maybe the rest of the staff is happy to go to work. Called in and speaking to the font desk lady was about as awkward and uncomfortable as giving someone bad news. The lady did not want to look up information about my insurance coverage, provided a nice long awkward silence and sounded pretty sour when she said shed take my info down for somebody else to call me back. If shes any indication, it seems like its a place with no pride and that reminds me of a slew of places run by admins who are only focused on the bottom dollar and not the people (employees included).Update: In March, I went to the store and asked if I could buy a pair of contacts. The man there says Well thats gonna be a process. Then he proceeds to tell me that I need to schedule an eye exam. I tell him I just want to buy some contacts but he insists that his boss needed it on the books. So I schedule one. THEN on the day I go to the appointment, I call the office in Naples (because the Fort Myers office had nobody there on Tuesdays) to ask where they were (because they gave me the wrong address. I reread it to them) and they tell me the optometrist is out sick. I drove an hour down there and nobody called me to tell me to not come. It could not get much worse, you think but yes it does. The glasses I got started to make my eyes ache after a few months.I am sorry to write a negative review but I feel it is important to raise awareness so that you guys can raise your standards. This was my first visit to Visioworks of Fort Myers and Im very pleased with the treatment and professionalism I was given. Karen was very nice; quick to greet me and check me in. Dr. Phan is wonderful and very knowledgeable and Jose L. was so courteous and patient with me. I will definitely bring my kids for eye exams to this office.

Quite possibly the best optometry session Ive ever experienced. Dr. Chang was fantastic about explaining the details about my prescription and eye health and she took all the little extra steps necessary to determine the most accurate prescription for me. They were even able to squeeze me in same-day for an appointment! The rest of the staff are very friendly with an excellent sense of charm despite the fact that it was a Saturday, and were very knowledgeable and helpful with my eye-wear purchases. I will be making Dr. Chang and the team here my optometrist from here on out!

The absolute worst fitting glasses Ive had in my entire life. Went back 3 times for adjustments and no improvement. Theyll eventually fit once they make a groove along your temples and ears.Could it be they didnt fit properly because they didnt take the correct measurements during the fitting process? Apparently so, because for the last 2 days Ive been wearing my old glasses and not one time have I had to push them back up the bridge of my nose like I had to do every couple of minutes with Visionworks. Not only did they not fit, the frame constantly separates where they are screwed together at the edge of the lenses.First and last time dealing with Visionworks.

Michelle was incredible! She solved my problem and even found the frame most suited for my needs and style!She is a tremendous asset to you company!

This is my second time here first time I came as a new customer and bing in the service industry I am a big judge on service. Well, I called spoke to Karen who was able to see me right away (first time) I came right down and was seen right away with the doctor, Dr pahn she was great actually tried a different type of lenses which worked great, today I called back to get my contacts and JOSE helped me, his phone courtesy was great and when I came in I was greeted right away and helps me get what I want without a long wait, I highly recommend Visionworks to anyone who wants great service at a great price. My only source for contact or and prescription needs.

Very helpful staff. I had to go somewhere else as I have humana insurance but I was told about the sales and invited to come back. Even got my glasses adjusted by the manager.

Had an eye exam with Dr. Phan and she was incredibly attentive to my individual needs and took the time to explain things in detail. And while I didnt purchase my eyeglasses through Visionworks, I returned to have them properly adjusted by the General Manager, Elizabeth Oleski a pleasantly attractive woman who took the time to assist me individually. Also had a great educational experience on progressive lenses from Optician, Brian Fleming who assisted me in addressing my concerns.
