Sales people are very nice and there’s a large selection of furniture. Only reason I’m giving it 4 Stars instead of 5: For being a liquidation sale they don’t have that great of deals. You can find something, you just have to be patient and take your time looking. Lynda was wonderful! Otherwise happy with the experience!

Honestly, I was happy with this company. until today when I went to the Fairlawn location and realized the store closing sale was a hoax. THEY JACKED UP the prices as much as twice as much (looked up the furniture on their online store) to make the DEAL seem better.... were not stupid!!!! your website has the prices! I showed an associate what I decovered and he said those details are made above his head

We purchased a chair since this company is going out of business (hmm I wonder why). We were told it was a new chair, we purchased and had it delivered (late too). Upon arrival, we noticed a cigarette burn in the main cushion. I had taken a photo of the chair while it was in the showroom, and after noticing the burn, it is seen in that photo but the company is saying WE burned the chair and we can pay to have it fixed. Now not only do we have a damaged piece of “new” furniture that they are not taking any accountability for, but they are refusing to have the chair fixed. SAVE YOUR MONEY this store is full of scam artists. Wish I could give them less than one star. We have opened up a complaint with the BBB. THIS IS WHY YOURE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS.

I bought a loveseat and sofa with a Flexsteel frame, thinking that it was quality with a lifetime warranty. Within a year, the sofa was squeaking. A technician came out, repaired it but told them that it was not a permanent fix and would likely need a replacement sofa. Fast forward, its squeaking worse than ever and even though the pandemic allowed for no one entering the house, we are told, too bad, the one year warranty is up. The technician signed off that the problem was fixed, even though he told my son that it was a temporary fix! The customer service rep said they have no record of that conversation that happened within the home. I do not recommend this company for furniture purchases.

We ordered furniture on 1/19/2020 that was to be ready in March. We put down $1,168 and it is now June 21st. Our Sales Assoc, is not calling us back. The phone to the store goes directly to voicemail. WHAT IS GOING ON??? That one star I was forced to give is not deserved!

Levin Furniture, Akron has exceptional customer service led by Store Manager Steve Linn. Sales associate Betti Sanders was very kind to us when we walked into to the store.Due to some circumstances it was not going to be delivered under the time I was hoping. I reached out to Store and expressed my concern to Steve as I needed couch before my wedding weekend. Steve went an extra mile for me and made sure I had couch before the weekend. Great customer service. Definitely would return to shop at Levin Akron!

They have a sale that has 53% off sale. Bought furniture in the past and have been very pleased. Went looking for a dinning room table and hutch. All they had was dark wood choices. Found a beautiful sofa and love seat. Also got 24 months interest free.

My wife and I stopped into the store to browse, and possibly get some area rugs. Upon entering the store we were greeted by Michelle. She was very polite, and offered us her assistance. She quickly negotiated us through the robust store, and to the rugs. Once, we reviewed the rugs she helped us find some excellent furniture for our basement. After the sale was final, she followed up to make sure that the pieces would fit into our home. She is first class, and an excellent ambassador for Levin’s.

TBH, so far the furniture has been pretty good, sales staff helpful. But of the two purchases we have made, the first one resulted in our information being sold and a credit card opened in our name, and the second resulting in a phone number leaked and multiple texts to watch my videos (within hours of making a purchase). Not going back for a third purchase.

He took into consideration what both my husband and I wanted for decor and comfort. He also made sure we had the best pricing. Bought bedroom and living room sets from this location about a year ago and we have been pleased. The sales person was great to work with, honest and patient. They went above and beyond to handle an unexpected situation. Delivery people were on time, efficient, and careful when moving the furniture. We shopped nearly every furniture store in town and liked the selection at Levin’s best. Would definitely do business with them again.

My wife and I visited the store, and were pleasantly greeted by Lee Harris. He kept his promise by not constantly following us around; giving us plenty of time to make the shopping experience our own. He checked in with us from time to time, and answered all our questions. Lee has a way of making you feel like youve just walked into your own home to try out new furniture. We plan to return to this location for future purchases, and look forward to seeing our new friend, Lee Harris.

I have been there on several occasions, Steve, the salesman was so very helpful, informative and definitely patient with me, honestly he has been the best sales person I have came in contact with since moving to Akron. Now, the one lady at the customer service desk, was not pleasant, and did not give helpful customer service. The furniture is very nice, but some are overly priced. But they sometimes have good sales.

Very poor customer service. I bought new living room set and had it repaired many times for the same problems. Now they tell me after one year it is out of warranty and that I will have to pay to have it repaired. I thought I was dealing with a reputable company and one that stands behind what they sell. But once they have your money seems as they dont care about the customer any more. Had made calls and wanting to talk with a manager but it seems like they are always to busy and then you wait for a phone call back.....and wait....and wait.... This is one store I would not recommend to anyone that is looking for new furniture. So now I have 2 peices of furniture that we cant even sit on.

Needed a more comfortable recliner. Found one there with a power lumbar feature. Was on sale and free delivery. Grayson was a excellent sales associate. Not overbearing by any means. He was very knowledgeable and if he didn’t have an answer he’d find out for you. I recommend asking for him!

Lee Harris helped us twice, we came on a Sunday for a full 3-1/2 hours and left without choosing a sofa and after not being able to find a sofa elsewhere we came back the next Sunday and bought a beautiful sofa. We both have bad backs and were very stressed trying to choose the right one for both of us. This is all inpart to the knowledge, professionalism, friendliness and all around nice guy. Lee, my husband and I talked about golf, our living in several different states and countries, politics and anything in general. We felt we were the only clients in your store. Our experience with Lee and your store was top notch and thats very hard to come by these days. We had Lee Harris help us out. We came in once and fell in love with a sofa, so we decided to wait. The second time we came in, we were still loving it, and decided to go with it. Lee introduced himself when we walked in the first time, and the best part was that he let us walk around on our own. The second time around we asked for Lee specifically, and he was extremely knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with! It didnt feel like a chore buying, it was nice and things got done fast. I had the best experience at Levins in Akron. Tom W. was such a nice, intelligent, patient salesperson I’ve ever worked with. I was shopping for a new apartment I just bought which is pretty small, so he made sure to show me all of the couch options that could fit in my new small space. I will never buy a couch from this place again. I purchased a warranty and was told it came with pet protection. I called to get my sofa cleaned and the woman told me that someone would call to schedule a day to come out and clean my couch. I was satisfied but then nobody called me the rest of the week. When I called back I was transferred to their corporate office where Amanda told me that someone actually did call but I didnt answer. My question was, why didnt they leave a voicemail? She couldnt answer so to me it felt like a lie. Then she continued to tell me that in order for me to schedule an appointment I need to send in a picture. When I initially called, I was not told to send a picture. Overall my experience with this company has been terrible. I requested Amanda to email a copy of my warranty and she never did. I had to call a second time in order to receive it. Overall if youre looking to buy a couch, go to Wayfair:/

Stephanie sold us our furniture and she was so great! We had an awesome in store experience and love our furniture. BUT the customer service we received when the furniture was delivered was awful. They barely said a word.. I asked them to put the furniture in certain places and they more or less left it sitting in the middle of my living room so we had to move it. I had stayed up all night carpet scrubbing my living room and they walked into the room with their dirty shoes on and got dirt and leaves everywhere. Im not trying to be ridiculous but seriously? My carpet is white and they had to walk through my dining room first where they had plenty of time to take their shoes off. They didnt ask us to look over it; they set it down asked us to sign and walked out the door. We bought furniture from Ashleys as well and they put the little shoe protectors on and put protectors on the door ways so they wouldnt scratch anything. I was incredibly surprised by how unprofessional Levin was especially for a place that sells such expensive furniture.

If you think this store is too expensive, then it may not be for you just quite yet. (This is not Value City)... Purchased a leather recliner costing $2000.00 and delivery people damaged doorway and couch. I returned couch due to it being damaged and drivers dropped couch in street on returning to truck. Second return of same old couch which should of been NEW COUCH was NOT. One side (right) was crooked and padding not sewn right. They had a report stating problems but ignored it Totally! I got the run around and no response. I furnished my house with their furniture and spent thousands. They do not back their products. I would not recommend buying from them!!

It was professionalism at its best. When we came into the Levins, we were just going to look around. But Mr. Lee A. Harris Ii informed us of your special discounts and after which we made a mental plan to purchase as we looked around. He told us if we needed any help to come see him or anyone else on the floor, but no one else said anything to us. So, we stayed and looked and narrowed it down to 2 pleasant leather sets. MR LEE had patience and he helped us compare the 2 prices and qualities. Then he went away again. My husband noticed that he was a sleep specialist and also wanted a new mattress and Mr. Lee patiently helped him with that too. He was very knowledgable about his products and your vendors. We are so happy we stopped by and trust the value of our purchases. I just wanted to take the time to acknowledge his excellent professionalism. He was awesome.

I ordered furniture at the beginning of May but told some of it was on back order and wouldn’t be in until the end of May, which I was ok with. It’s now June and I still don’t have furniture and no one seems to be able to help me when I call, they just tell me they will look into it and call me back. I’m now out over $1,000 and have no idea if or when I’m even going to get what I ordered. I will never do business with them again.Update: My sales person Lee, who was very nice and helpful worked to get the delivery issue solved and I know at least have a delivery date for the furniture. It was still a frustrating experience but he did what he could to make it better.

Rich was a great sales guy. Very helpful and personable. Bought a couch, 3 chairs, an ottoman and a recliner. He was very knowledgeable about all the manufacturers and the materials. We bought Flexsteel as we still have a Flexsteel chair that was purchased over 25 yrs ago. Very happy and will buy there again. Went back the next day to hopefully make some changes to my order. Met with Lee Harris who went above and beyond to help us. I had a delightful shopping experience with this wonderful man who seemed to be 10 feet tall. My husband and Lee chatted about basketball and the DC area where we all lived at one time. Helped me make some changes which will be better suited to us. (Not that Rich was not helpful, as it was me that changed my mind, not anything Rich did). I would highly recommend Levin Furniture and both of these salesmen.

Horrible!! Two locations told me on phone, they had stearns and foster mattresses on display, for me to try. Within the hour, I was there, neither one had what we discussed. Jonathan at Fairlawn lied to me, more than once, just to get me in sore. Karen at N. Canton store did SAME thing. Truly unprofessional. Lousy, waste of time. Not pleased. We paid for a certain mattress and base and they delivered a different base. When we called to get the correct base, we were told wed have to pay $250 more for the base that we were told was in our package. Wont return. The only good part was the guy who checked us out(the guy who sold us the mattress and base did not check us out)-super friendly.

Barbara sold us our furniture 4 years ago. She was very lacking in communicating waiting times for certain designs, so we chose to take what they had on the floor rather than have something shipped because the difference was about 10 weeks (which she neglected to tell us prior to us spending hours there picking things out) and we needed furniture. They also screwed up our pillow order, which meant we had to wait for two custom shipments for pillows. No discount for screwing up, no offer to keep the pillows they screwed up while they ordered the correct ones, just a cheap Im sorry about that.Fast forward to now and we find out that she also lied about the protection plan she sold us. Covers pet accidents doesnt mean smells; only stains. You want that cat urine smell out of your cushion? You get to buy a new one.Overall, its about what Id expect given the atmosphere there. We got our last couch from La-Z-Boy and we love it. Were never going back to Levin after all of this.

This story starts with when I first walked in not dressed my best, a women who worked in the back sort of turned her nose up at me and looked away. My fiance and I were walking into the furniture store just to get furniture after recently having our first child. Mike worked with us and made us feel very comfortable discussing our budget with him. Thanks to Mike we will have our very first living room set at an affordable price! If youre in the Area ask for mike and he will make sure to work out the best deal for you! Since our undergraduate years weve never had a bed or living room furniture. Weve slept on floors many days scared to see another place tell us our credit scores werent up to par. Like any other commission based business, the sales people are trained to make sales, not actually help you. One you see through that jargon, youll find decent deals mixed in with poor investments. We have 5 items from this store, and the black Friday mattress of 2009/10 is the only one I regret. I like the selection and display arrangement better than most comparably priced stores.

Went to this store a month or so ago to get a couch. Salesperson was generally pleasant and helpful. They didnt have the couch that we wanted in stock so they said they would call the company and that the manager would call us back the following day with a quote. I have yet to hear anything back.... TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE! I purchased a twin loft bed and mattress along with other furniture from this store over Labor Day Weekend. The delivery man informed me (after partially assembling the bed) that he had stripped 3 of the bolts required to hold the frame together so he could not complete the job. He made me sign for delivery and told me to call the store & then quickly left. I contacted the store, who gave me the number for corporate customer service. I was informed by service that I would have to wait for replacement parts.All of the items I purchased were left in the middle of my daughters room along with the half assembled (unsafe) bed. When I contacted the salesman at the store he apologized for my inconvenience and informed me that Once the sale is made, it is out of the store & the store managers hands. I was basically told that as long as Levin Fairlawn got the sale and my hard-earned money, they really did not care. The salesman assured me his store manager would be educating the delivery crews on proper techniques.DO NOT EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE . THEY DO NOT CARE! He was so great at explaining the furniture, fabric and everything I needed to know about the product. I haven’t received my furniture yet but need to review the service at Levins. Placed a custom order in Dec 2017. 16 weeks later. Over 4 months and my furniture still isn’t here. We were quoted 4-6 weeks. We expected 6-8 weeks. Every time there was a delay you’d expect a call to update but none ever came. I would call them and get the run around. Their own customer care department in shock at how long we waited. It’ll be here in Feb. call back. No March. Call back no April. Then when it arrives at the store we still have to wait. Call and ask if maybe given how long we’ve awaited if we could be a priority, nope. Still waiting. This isn’t a small order. We spent over $3200. They have our money. We have no furniture. Won’t shop there again.

Purchased $3000 sectional and the legs are wrong size. Company sucks and been giving me the run around for last 3 months. Shopping for either a sofa with ottoman or a sectional. After trying a couple other furniture stores over the past week, we stopped into Levins in Montrose (Copley / Fairlawn), OH.Hilary (Levins salesperson) met us as we entered. We told her what we were looking for and she pointed out a few pieces. She let us browse on our own without following us around (A Huge Plus!!!). I actually went to Levin Furniture to help my daughter look at furniture for her new house which will be ready in October and ended up buying myself a dining room set. We had the pleasure of working with John Fonte. He gave us the space we needed while shopping but was right there when we had questions. No pressure or feeling of being rushed at all. Recently purchased 4 pieces of living room furniture, the day after delivery, I noticed the side panel on 3 of the pieces was coming apart. I called customer service and was told that they had to have a service company out of Texas come take a look at (and they would not be able to come any time soon) After several back and forth phone calls later, I was told that Levin would take a look at it and either fix it on site or they would need to take it back to the factory to be repaired (and who knows how long that would take) Levin was supposed to call and let me know when they would be arriving to look at my furniture and never called and never arrived. Been a headache since day one, I now have faulty brand new furniture and Levin doesnt seem to eager to help. Will never buy from them again

I am giving one star for the sales associate when we purchased our chair and ottoman. She was great. Other than that the customer service was HORRIBLE! It took over one month for Levin customer service to come back and say that the ottoman was within standard guidelines. Both the chair and ottoman were cheaply made and the fabric did not fit either item - lumpy, uneven seams, smooshed ottoman. UNACCEPTABLE for a brand new piece. My advice is NOT to go to Levin. You will be unhappy. If they would have replaced both items without hassle, this review might have been different. VERY UNFORTUNATE!!!!!!!!!

****Really long post about our bad experience with Levins furniture.January/February we decided to get our first brand new couch. We went through Levin’s. In the process we found a table we liked so we bought it. We bought a sectional and was told it wouldn’t be in for 2 months but we wanted the couch so it was fine and we agreed. As time went on they started delaying the pieces even longer. I continuously called and told them that was not acceptable. We paid a lot of money for our couch and we had to wait long enough anyway. After requesting they decrease the price of the couch due to an excessive amount of delivery time, all of a sudden a week later we got the whole couch. Within a month or two we had to have the couch fixed. It sunk down in a area to much and a board was broke. That was fixed and has been fine ever since.Now let’s move to the table. The table is a heavy wood table that has wheels so it can be moved around easily. Within 2 months of owning the table all 4 wheels fell off. Called to have this serviced also. Guy said the wheels they put on the table can’t carry the weight of the table and we need a better setup so they would order different wheels and call me to have someone come back in. Waited and waited and never got a call. So I called. Here to find out it can take up to 3 months for 4 wheels. And it did take 3 months. A guy came out about 2 weeks ago now. It took him like 45 minutes which to me is an excessive amount to screw in 4 wheels into a table. He kept going to his truck for 10 minutes then back in the house and back and forth until he was done. When he left we noticed the table was off a little and it wobbled. But at this point we don’t care. We are over it. Now here I am today and the side of the table that didn’t seem right, the wheel fell off. I lifted up the table and it appears they brought 3 wheels that they were supposed to that are solid in the table, and 4th one, the one that fell off is different and shouldn’t have been put on my table. I now believe he kept going back to his truck looking for the 4th wheel, and instead of being honest with me, tried to rig it up and hope for the best. I am very disappointed with my service through them and will not be going back.

They delivered just a part of what I bought, and I had to call them to ask for the rest. When I paid everything up front, they said they would deliver everything together. They just didnt have it in the warehouse, and it took them half a month to deliver it to me! And the quality of the sofa is far from good.

Nice things, pour service. Sent 2 hours with my wife looking at recliners. Went back three days later to purchase. Sales man said no factory warranty as is. and this was not what we were told earlier. Levins policy if you buy last one the factory and Levin will not take care of you if a problem. The 2 recliners were both power. We have bought here before but will not do so again.Now going to go to Wayside in Akron.

Levin has always been my place of choice for business for many years. However, this past weekend I go for the one day sale intending to purchase living room furniture and was met with disturbing customer service. Ill start by saying Im African American so youll get the whole picture. Why was I asked several times by the salesman if I needed layaway? Even after I said no I didnt need that he kept insisting this was a good option because I could then save money to pay off in a few months. So because Im black I automatically need layaway?!!Not once did this salesperson even mention the other financing options available. He made it seem like layaway was the only option Levin had. I was very disappointed.

Our dual motor recliner broke 5 weeks after buying it. Took tech 3 weeks to look at it and its been a week and his notes still arent entered in to the computer. Said motor seized but there is metal bent underneath. Nobody has called us at all. I just want my money back.

I am really disappointed with the Levin’s quality and customer service. Me and my husband bought the sofa and while it’s still under the 1 year warranty, the fabric is already ripping and tearing, and the spring came out. The technician came to my home to inspect, had to hammer the spring back in and said that the fabric will be fixed. But I cannot see how this can be fixed, besides replacing the whole fabric. I would expect Levin’s to replace the sofa for one with different fabric, or refunding me. I called them several times, and the manager was always in a meeting or on the phone. They said they would call me back, but they never did. They have a terrible customer service, and I definitely don’t recommend this store to anyone. Order # 0227723LH45

We purchased a three piece bonded leather sofa and two love seats from Levin Furniture 18 months ago. We paid nearly 2000 for the set on sale. The furniture started to show signs of wear on the arms after about 13 months. We called the manufacturer (Simmons) and they said it was out of warranty so they would not offer us any assistance. We called Levin Furniture who sold us the product. Part of the sales pitch was that iwas as good as leather and probably more durable. While the woman who took our call was friendly, she offered us nothing . She was sorry -- the set was out of warranty --- too bad for us (even though she had the date of purchase pulled up on her screen). She gave us the name of a repair service who could possibly help us but we would have to pay for the repairs. Its important to note that the problems we experienced with this set were due to only NORMAL wear and tear. There are no young children who live in our home. It was n ot destroyed by pets -- The peeling of the material was simply due to the poor quality of the product. Because Levin sold us this piece and then dismissed our complaints (they said it was most likely due to sweat and body fluids!!) we will NEVER shop at any Levin Furniture store again nor will we EVER purchase anything from Simmons.

Great experience. We have purchased from Levins in the past and the experiences were OK. This past Saturday was exceptional. George (Sabol?) helped us. He was kind, knowledgeable, and did not follow us constantly. We ended up buying an Amish-made bedroom set (Lewiston Collection). George came back with the price that I had wanted to pay without even having to negotiate. My fiance and I appreciate the service!Added 2/8/18 - The delivery guys were nice, but they could not figure out how to move the furniture, namely the dressed, up our stairs. I tried offering solutions that were more commonsense, but they didnt think it would work. Long story short, they left some pieces in our living room after 10 minutes of talking about it not fitting. My dad and I used one of my commonsense solutions and the dresser, which albeit is large, went straight up the stairs. Delivery was free, so my review remains a 5
