Eldora is my favorite spot for high quality local chocolate. Ive taken their tour twice because I had so much fun the first time, I convinced my family to go with me so I could go again! During the tour we got to go behind the scenes and try samples of their drinking chocolate and some bars, and they explained where the beans come from and how they are processed in the facility. The whole staff is very knowledgeable and passionate about their chocolate which really adds to the experience. They have vegan options and even cocoa nibs for anyone keto, and a variety of chocolates including white, milk, and dark of various percentages. They also have truffles and some flavors rotate based on the time of year. Every chocolate Ive had from Eldora has impeccable quality that is easy to savor and make last.

Driving home from an early dinner last week, we stopped by Eldorado for a treat for my choco-forward wife. As an afterthought, I said Get me todays take on green chile.WOW! The dark-but-not-bitter chocolate enrobement was a perfect compliment to the filling, and that filling was an homage to the fruitiness of Hatch green chiles while hinting at their heat.Oh, the wifes selection was wonderful too, as always.

Had a wonderful experience at this off the beaten path chocolate shop. I dont know much about chocolate and the employee came out and really educated me on their process and values. She then went into the kitchen and came out with fresh chocolate they were making for a taste test and some brief discussion of notes. I came out of here with a newfound appreciation for this culinary craft, and some of the best truffles Ive ever tasted.

Chocolate is fresh, high-quality, and unique. I recommend trying the green chili truffle, which is surprisingly good.

Indulged for a special occassion and got a variety of truffles for sharing. (Everyone *raved* about their truffle and wanted to know where to get more!) Added a specialty flavor chocolate bar, then some hand sanitizer, and finally a bonbon. So, easy to get carried away! I got a taste of the chocolate they were currently making and it was heaven.

From the moment we walked in, Eldora chocolate was not just a store, but an experience. The seductive smell of chocolate in the air captivates your senses as soon as you walk in and the chocolate does not disappoint. We were greeted by Sharon and Steve with big smiles and lots of information. It is quite apparent that Eldora chocolate is made with passion and love. They truly love what they do. We had the award-winning 70% Tanzania Koka Kamili 2020, and the 70% Belize Maya Mountain 2019. Mmmmmmmmm. Definitely the best chocolate Ive had since moving to New Mexico. EXCELLENT find!

In our effort to support local businesses during the pandemic, we ventured out from our neighborhood in downtown to find this place in the north valley. Unfortunately, we were met by a very rude lady at the counter who gave us the impression that we inconvenienced her...She actually scolded us. It’s was really embarrassing and disappointing. We feel that businesses need to appreciate their customers, especially during this time, who try to support their community. Neither of us will EVER return.

If you like chocolate -and by that I mean real chocolate- Eldora is the place for you. I am beyond satisfied with their awesomeness. When I first went there to try it, they explained to me where they get the cocoa and the process and ingredients they use. They have a variety of organic chocolate bars and truffles as well as drinking chocolates and more. Love the staff, love the chocolate. Will never settle for less. I totally recommend it!

The owner explains everything about their chocolate and why they are different and let us sample some freshly made chocolate to tell the difference. Their truffles are unique and great. The flavors pop in your mouth. They also have several bars of chocolate in different flavors. What I picked up I gave as a gift. What I sampled in the store was excellent.i will return to purchase chocolate for me as well as others. Fortunately, its in the neighborhood!

This is the best chocolate we have ever eaten. Im so impressed with the simple ingredients that these people have turned into delightful, even perfect, texture and intricate flavor. They explain the whole bean-to-bar process that make you really appreciate the art of making chocolate.The entire staff is delightful and really enjoys what they do which naturally shows in their exceptional service and the quality of their products.Once you have the chocolate here, you’ll never want any of chocolate that’s sold in grocery stores!

Love this place, have never been anywhere like it. They are true artists who love to share their knowledge. My favorites are the cookie dough truffles, the peanut butter truffles and the toffee.

This place is amazing! The chocolate lip balm is so awesome as was the sipping chocolate (which if you havent tried it you need to), brownies and the coffee...the coffee was really really good!

I had a wonderful 3 hour class at Eldora yesterday! Steve, the owner, taught us all about the processes of making chocolate and then gave us a fabulous lesson on tasting. I thought I had enjoyed chocolate before, but this was way beyond anything Id experienced before. Award-winning, talented and thoughtful owner and staff. Eldora us a delight!

I love their chocolate! The truffles are delicious and the single origin chocolate bars are amazing! And I would recommend to try the mole-mole bar, although unusual the flavors work perfectly.Great feeling when entering the distinct green building. The people working there and the owners were very friendly and explained the chocolate making process in details. Great place where to find authentic chocolate!

Place is absolutely adorable. A variety of chocolates to choose from including chocolate covered caramel... my favorite and all organic! The owner Steve was very knowledgeable about the whole chocolate making process and explained the various beans used that give each chocolate its unique flavor. It was all very interesting and helpful. A must see in Albuquerque. You won’t regret the experience.

I really like their chocolate and their efforts towards sustainability but I went in today on my lunch break and I was not treated right by a man I think was the owner. I came in and thought wow what a cute place! I loved the green stucco outside and the decor and layout inside. An employee welcomed me from the open kitchen as he worked and I was greeted by a woman named either Sharon or Shannon. She was super friendly and toured me around the shop. She showed me the different kinds of chocolate they offered and explained their process for making it as well as offering me some samples. I really liked her. Things turned bad when I was ready to check out. There were 2 ladies who’d been having a similar experience with another employee(was he the owner?) One of the ladies had been stacking chocolates by the register and explained to me she just didn’t want them to melt in her hands while she shopped. I totally understood that and said so. When I was ready to check out the owner waited for her to finish then checked her out ahead of me even though I’d been waiting and she hadn’t been ready yet. She, her friend, and the owner then proceeded to have a long conversation about someone else she knew who opened a chocolate shop in another city. This went on and on and I just needed to check out. It was so bad Sharon mouthed she was sorry to me and offered me a truffle sample while I waited. I accepted and said thank you. Even after I finished they were still talking and they weren’t even checking out now, they were just talking and blocking the register. Eventually Sharon asked them to step aside so she could ring me up she gave me a discount and another free sample for my trouble and I finally got to pay.I don’t think it’s likely I’ll come back any time soon. I think I was treated very rudely by the owner and it made me feel very unwelcome there. I partially feel I should have left and not spent my money there but Sharon was so very nice and I stayed because of her. I don’t know why the owner acted the way he did. I don’t want to speculate because I don’t know what was going on inside his mind. He could have just been rude or oblivious, or it could’ve been something else, but no matter what the reason, I felt very unwelcome there and like he really didn’t want my business or valued me as a customer.

OMG what is not to love about this place. The staff was so knowledgeable and they took all the time we needed to understand about there products. Very fair prices and wonderful tasting goods.

I visited Eldora Craft Chocolates yesterday and let me tell you its one of the best experiences Ive had in Albuquerque. Steve and his team dont just make chocolate, the create an entire chocolate experience. From Bean to Bar, as their slogan says, they source their coco beans directly, import them to ABQ, and make chocolate masterpieces from step one. They show you the entire process of making Chocolate. All natural ingredients, they truly take the time to master their craft.Some of the best truffles Ive had in a long time, I would definitely recommend the Bourbon Truffles! Truly an experience and Ill definitely be returning with friends!

An absolute treasure of a business. Eldora is natural, organic and fair trade chocolate that is crafted from the cacao bean to the chocolate bar. The facility is inviting and warm and if you want to learn about chocolate, their staff is incredibly knowledgable. Oh, and it goes without saying, their chocolate melts in your mouth AND in your hand, because its real chocolate.

Gourmet chocolate at its best! Not for the Hershey bar set, but pure organic all-natural chocolate sustainably sourced. Nearly all robust dark chocolate. A bit pricy, but fully hand made. There is no better! Well be back!

Awesome service and very informative, I actually learned the process of chocolate making and they let you sample which is great. I went home with a nice cache of chocolate that is tasty and know that its all been handmade locally.

Love their chocolate. I have visited several times. Staff is friendly ready to tell about their products. Cocoa nibs great, yummy bon bons. Have had their hot chocolate several times cold in summer and hot as weather turns crisp.

This is the cutest and quaintest little chocolate shop! The interior is beautiful, and the owner and other employees were extremely kind and knowledgeable. The chocolate is delicious, and we were able to sample different bars and learn about the sourcing of the cacao and process behind making the actual chocolate. There were even maps showing where the different beans were from. They have truffles, a variety of bars, roasted nibs and even ice cream bon bons. It is a little pricey, but that is expected as the chocolate is bean to bar, meaning they receive the beans and complete the entire chocolate making process themselves on location. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and this was definitely worth the experience. We got a few bars, some truffles and 12oz of roasted nibs, and the bars and truffles were decadent, rich and full of complex flavors. I will definitely be coming back and recommend that you give it a try!

Bean to bar is the best way to make chocolate and we are lucky to have such a place in ABQ. If you are a chocolate connoisuer or if you just want to sample the different chocolates from all over the world- this is the place to go! Fun date idea!
