Online reviews are there to help individuals like myself know if it is a good place to shop or to eat. I read the comment from Laura and I find it very disgusting the way she was treated. I do no believe anyone should be treated how she was. As the owner of the shop you should know better and train employees to be respectful at all times. I understand it might have been an exhausting week for the employees because of Halloween but that should not be an excuse to be disrespectful, especially to customers.

I regret spending my money here due to how poorly I was treated. I was treated as inconvenience from the very beginning, but what was most disrespectful was when the man threw my receipt at me while he walked away. I’ve never felt so embarrassed.

Do a Google or Yahoo search, there are slim pickings in Albuquerque for quality places to go to find new or vintage costumes. These are the type of items that you will never find in a Halloween store.Some things are like walking into your great grandparents closet, that is they were really cool people.Virtually stepping back into time. Give yourself time to really explore this place.They didnt have what I wanted, but the young lady was able to point me into the right direction on what would work for me.Dont go in here expecting everything to be orderly, but that is the charm. They know where everything is so not chaos really, but you may need help finding that certain item.if you want to really impress someone with a costume this is the place to find it.Now if you want WalMart or Spirit Halloween cheap stuff dont expect it here. There are things here at low prices, but the vintage items cost more. They have gone out to find these hard to find items. So unless you plan to spend days searching thrift stores or antique shops just pull out the money & support this great place.You will not find a more unique costume place in Albuquerque.

Super fun store. I love the colors popping and the vintage cloths and hats. Cant forget the costumes. Mostly I enjoyed the good vibes. Its a tiny store, however you can get lost in it for hours... Go take a peek.

Probably my favorite shop in all of AlbuquerqueI love filming videos and such and just dressing up in general and this place is the place for good costumes and some are such good quality Id straight up wear it as regular wear.

This place is so quaint and precious!While vintage shopping with my family, we came inside to take a look. The clothes were beautiful and were in great condition. I had a lot of fun and the owner was very nice, and even chatted with us while we looked around! I’ll definitely be returning again soon!

Amazing place! So many cool items (a lot of them making me wish I wasn’t such a round, short lady); vintage clothing, hats, masks, jewelry. My sweet husband allowed me to buy a very pretty vintage rhinestone and glass leaves necklace in lovely turquoise hues. Any of my friends who are costumers, lovers of vintage, and just fun stuff must visit if they come to Albuquerque.

Great little shop packed with many choices to rent or buy. We were able to find a kimono for my daughter. She was very happy with it. Take your time to look through this store. Always hidden gems you can easily miss. The guy that was working the day we went in provided great service.

I have been collecting vintage clothing for some time now and from all over the country. I have never been into a store that was as over priced as Off Broadway Costume. Good luck to them because they are going to put them selves out of business.

Huge selection of clothes and accessories. I needed a mask for a masquerade party and I was able to find a super cool one at a reasonable price. Definitely coming back for more costumes in the future.

Fantastic shop! Great Vintage clothing in superb condition. Great help and knowledge here too. They have professional make-up, wigs and facial hair too!

My mom, sister and I went to explore costumes for my moms birthday at the end of summer. We have a budget of $1500 for costumes for our guests to make this memorable and special. While in the store I also found some gorgeous gowns for my upcoming wedding that’s gatsby themed. Both experiences should have been a fun time. The owner was very short, didn’t seem pleased to assist us, when we wanted to see gowns she did show us some, but limited it to two and allowed no photos. Specifically the potential bridesmaids gowns (since I came across them accidentally and wanted to share with the rest of my wedding party). The selection was unbelievable and she had some gorgeous pieces to offer. I feel as though something is amazing about this place as it has been in business for over 30 years, but I feel as though the customer service is as antiquated as the amazing pieces in the store. Although I have my heart set in the bridesmaids gowns in the store I would love, love, love to have the person I am paying show me a wow experience and be excited for my moment and have opted to continue looking. Additionally, fun photos=free marketing. Small business’ need support, but you can’t help those who aren’t willing to evolve and help themselves. Granted, maybe this owner was having a bad day, but it resulted in so many missed opportunities. I train in customer service and love doing (and receiving reviews). I love word-of-mouth marketing. I am so sad that both experiences were ruined by someone who didn’t seem to have passion for such a fun job even if it was one day or in the moment. Best of luck to this business and I hope this is some useful and constructive advice for future clients.

Was visiting from California with my boyfriend and a friend took us to all the stores on Central. This was my favorite! If you love vintage, come here. Surprised by the other reviews for this amazing store. The staff was very helpful and it was nice to talk to them. They keep a watchful eye and like to assist when it comes to handling certain things as some of the garments are delicate which is quite understandable. Yes the prices tend to be very high but this is appropriate given the great condition of the clothing! You would not sell a gorgeous, mint condition authentic Art Deco dress for cheap or anything else of the like, thats a given. There are other wonderful items that really arent that expensive. We found a fantastic 1930s suit for just $128 and some beautiful vintage hats for under $50 amongst other things. I recommend taking your time and really looking around. Typically, the most expensive items are going to be on display and the first things you see. This place also does rentals which is fantastic, Ive never seen such a splendid collection anywhere else. Perfect for finding a time period costume, buying or renting for a photo shoot or movie and great if you are into dealing vintage. Looking forward to going back sometime.

Great place to get stuff and alot of nice hats. Unfortunately i bought a hat that i thought fit me. It was alittle to small and tried to get atleast a exhcange for a slightly bigger size but wasnt able for a negotiation, even when i had the receipt. Overall a ok store.

When in to buy a mask. The woman that helped me was a bit standoffish, but Im a big guy with a beard, so I get it. The store is beautiful, and the collection was amazing. I would come back.

Very small selection of mens clothes. The staff are nice enough and attempt to carry the luxury aire. The shop is not well enough stocked nor high end enough to warrant this.

Terribly rude and unprofessional staff. When shopping for my wedding lady says we can only try on if were seriously considering purchasing otherwise its a waste of her time. The condescending replies from the owner to the negative reviews are an indication of your experience at the shop.

Found a costume piece with a clear sticker price of 28 dollars and some change. The clerk took it from me and said that cant be right. He went behind the counter and changed the price to $78. Horrible customer service. We took our business elsewhere and will never be returning.
