Ben and Mike were my delivery team. Those two worked so very, very hard to ensure I was satisfied. They measured for quite a while to determine the best method of delivering to my second floor kitchen (townhouse). Once they determined it would fit, they were careful and made me aware of the full situation - narrow stairwell, tight corner, and wide appliance. Those two professionals would for over 2.5 hours to get the refrigerator up the stairs, the old one down, and that everything was satisfactory. It was a very challenging situation and Ben and Mike handled it beautifully. Not only did they work extra hard to make the delivery so I wouldn’t have to order another, smaller unit, they were friendly and professional. They are excellent representatives of your organization and make your company look good!
Bobby Creger, Alexandria Bray & Scarff, was extremely responsive. I was looking to replace a large capacity washing machine for my family of 5. When I called, Bobby asked if he could research a few options and email me. He sent some great options. We were able to communicate quickly by email and phone. I highly recommend the calling Bobby to purchase new appliances.
Fantastic service! Mike had a wealth of information on every product but never a hard push to buy. Very refreshing! Excellent top of the line products well vetted so you can be confident in what you’re buying.
Ben and Mike delivered our new fridge today and they did an amazing job! They were professional, kind, hard-working, and respectful. They removed our old fridge and installed our new one in no time. They explained all the details of our new appliance and some tips as well. I would recommend them to anyone!
Pandemic has certainly changed the way we shop for a major appliance. When our dryer went out, we emailed several dealers around the DMV. Bray and Scarff Alexandria was the first to respond. We found their customer service to be outstanding and the online purchasing experience pain free. The sales manager was very responsive and always followed up and kept us informed. It was my first purchase with Bray and Scarff Alexandria, but I will shop with them again. Thank you again
Bobby Creger, the Appliance Specialist, was extremely professional and very helpful is assisting us in finding a new refrigerator to fit into the space available in our kitchen. I give him five stars.
Nice selection of appliances that is beyond the big box retailers. Sandy Rubin is always available to offer help and is extremely knowledgeable. He also does what he can to get you the best price.A bit pricey for services but have full install services and lots of choices in anything related to kitchen upgrades. As always check for best price but Bray and Scarff will price match.
Amazing! If youre in the market for an appliance, do yourself a favor and go to Bray and Scarff and ask for McKinley Anderson Jr. From the moment I walked into the store until the completion of the installation, B&S and McKinley were nothing but professional. After a nightmare of the big box store experience, B&S and McKinley hit a home run. What a great experience---do not go anywhere else, you will regret it! I will never buy an appliance/installation from anywhere else. Thanks guys!
Very knowledgeable and helpful salesman (McKinley Anderson, Jr.) Also, a real gentleman! Delivery, although rather late in the day, went very efficiently. All in all, a great experience.
Michael was very helpful and it was Ryan whoMade my day, calling to say the truck was in. Will let you know more after delivery. So far- GREAT!
Excellent salesperson: communicated clearly and provided all info I required. Also was well-informed on dimensions and features. No pressure, allowed me to make my decision and purchase easily. Showroom had good inventory to compare brands and models.
Ben and Mike delivered our GE Cafe beverage center today and went above and beyond to help us out. They moved some outdoor chairs from our front porch to make room for the appliance and got stung by some wasps. Luckily no one was seriously injured and they delivered our appliance anyway without delay. We couldnt ask for better customer service.
Selected refrigerator fits perfectly in the kitchen space. Greatly appreciate the sales rep recommendations before the purchase.Delivery crew was prompt and efficient with the delivery and setup process.Definitely recommend Bray & Scarff for future purchases.
Kevin B did an outstanding job installing the dishwasher in our home! He arrived within the agreed upon time window. He was polite, professional and attentive to our concerns and questions. He clearly knew what he was doing and took the time when he was finished to answer all our questions.
Excellent service! Bobby was both helpful and knowledgeable.
We plan to do a major renovation of our kitchen. Part of our plan includes replacing three appliances that are either aging or have proven to be unsatisfactory. Our experience with big box stores has been poor. We remembered our previous experience with Bray & Scarff and decided to try them again. Our thinking had been a smaller local store had to be more expensive, but our recent experience proved this to be incorrect. Their products seem to be a better quality over the builders grade often found in the advertisements of bigger stores. Additionally, the personal support services provided are exceptional. Bobby Creager of your Alexandria store was a great help in making our selections that are readily available in this current time of product shortages.
Ordering online was easy and convenient. The online chat feature was easy to use and very useful. In fact, the online chat steered me to a product that was available now at a good price. Definitely would come back again!
Although ultimately I did not purchase my appliance from Bray & Scarff, McKinley was great to work with. I would highly suggest asking for him if you come to this location, he has the experience, knowledge and great customer service.
My first impression of Bray and Scarff when I entered was top quality merchandise. With my budget I didnt think I could afford anything there, but to my surprise after Sandy Rubin, the appliance specialist found out what I was looking for, I was very happy to have purchased the deep freezers I had wanted. I was really impressed with his warm and friendly customer service. I would definitely recommend Bray and Scarff to my friends and family!
We love Bray and Scarff. Their customers service is excellent; everyone is always so helpful and polite. Weve been very happy with our purchases. Since first purchasing here, weve made all our other appliance purchases from Bray and Scarff.
Alex made it a hassle-free event. He took care of my needs and ensured I was prepared to install the cooktop once it arrives. He also informed me of the additional services Bray & Scarff provide. Im a satisfied customer. I cant wait to receive my cooktop in a couple of weeks.
Our salesman, Bobby, was very helpful and understanding. He showed great patience in helping us understand our options and in making very helpful suggestions.
Ryan was professional and was able to help me make a decision rapidly and I know I’m going to love my new refrigerator.
Bought new refrigerator (GE profile), dishwasher (bosch) and built in microwave (sharp) from B&S. Sandy was great helping us choose models and the prices were the best anywhere (believe me... I researched like crazy). Delivery was on time (early actually!) and without issue. If youre remodeling your kitchen you HAVE TO visit Bray & Scarff!
Ordered a washer and dryer online. Within an hour Sandy called to alert me that, due to the pandemic, there would be a 2-4 week delay. We discussed options to change my order but I kept it as is. I then asked him about kitchen appliances, as I am doing renovations. We talked about it possibly taking up to two months so I can plan in advance. Its this type of service and honesty that I appreciate, and that you dont find with other stores. Combine this with the more than competitive prices - its the reason to buy their products.
Ryan at the Alexandria store was polite and friendly and answered all of my questions about the oven that I purchased and explained in detail about the installation process. Overall a good experience at the Alexandria location of Bray&Scarff.
Truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They literally lied about product sent to our home. We have repeatedly spoken to Mike the manager who says he will handle the situation and never calls back. Oh yes and there is of course the five times they have been to our home to fix a screwed up install and still haven’t fixed it.I would truly advise going to any where else for upscale home appliance. Literally worst experience of experience of customer service and they just don’t care.
Very helpful. There is only one 2 door cream refrigerator which Sierra found, It is available from Bray and Scarf ( in Sept!) and not at best Buy
Cliff and his install team were just what the doctor ordered, they were very skilled and knowledgeable. They made the purchase and install of our new wall oven and cooktop a pleasant experience. We tried working with bestbuy, there is in our mind no comparison. I say no more !We will always ask for Cliff, when purchasing from bray and scarff.
Ryan Dougherty was Johnny-On-the-Spot. He met us shortly after we walked into the store and guided us immediately to the dryer appropriate to our needs.
I initially approached Ciera to procure a washer an dryer. She assessed my needs and recommended a holistic approach.and I couldn’t be happier. As a result of her guidance and recommendations we will redesign our kitchen and add new modern appliances.
Five stars as always for the ALEXANDRIA VA location. Bobby helped us and was Fantastic to work with!!! He made our purchase easy and enjoyable!!! Extremely professional and helpful!!
We have purchased our appliances from big box stores in the past, but this time around Bray and Scarff was the only retailer in the area that had our preferred Bosch dishwasher in stock. With four young kids and lots of dirty dishes, we didnt want to wait weeks or even months for a COVID-delayed factory delivery. The unit was delivered on the day promised in good condition, and the two-man installation team had the old unit removed and the new one installed in less than an hour. One of the fellows even removed a dead mouse, cleaned out the large amount of mouse detritus that had built up behind the old unit, and covered over the holes in the back wall with metallic tape before they installed the new unit. That is excellent customer service all around! We will definitely be working with Bray and Scarff again.
Our rep Sandy offered immediate assistance and asked questions about our needs to direct us to several washer and dryers. He didn’t try to oversell to us. He was very knowledgeable about the products and that helped us decide on what we wanted. I would recommend this place if you get a knowledgeable rep like I did. I liked that we could add on a five year warranty for service in our home and if you don’t use it you get all of the money back in store credit in five years with the plan we bought.
I walked in and Mike G immediately greeted me. He showed me a lot of options based on my measurements. He answered my questions and never once tried to steer my choices unless they were based on my requirements/preferences. After my purchase, he explained the delivery timetable and gave me options for installation and old appliance recycling that I can change later if I need to.
We unexpectedly needed a new stove top...not easy to get during this pandemic & the holidays. Mike was extremely helpful & resourceful in getting us the one we wanted. The stove top came in the day he said it would! Installation through Bray & Scarff was also seamless. Was a completely great experience & will use them in the future. Thank you Mike!
This was the ideal buying experience. Sandy Rubin @ the Alexandria location was fantastic and extremely helpful - he didnt try to sell me something I didnt need and was able to find me a matching washer/dryer pair when all the big box stores had none, or if they did, I was told there was over a month delay in delivery and installation. Bray and Scarff had what I needed at a competitive price and was able to schedule a delivery in three days. If I ever have another need for appliances, there is no question where I will go. Bray and Scarff has my full endorsement.
Highly recommend buying at Bray & Scarff! I did my research and didnt need to use their price match guarantee -- prices were already better than or equal to other sellers. And I cant say enough about the staff...Bobby Creger helped me with selections, answered all my questions, checking sizes for fit and provided product rebate info; very knowledgeable! Delivery was scheduled quickly, I was kept notified of arrival time, and Dago V. and Oswaldo installed everything efficiently, smoothly solving an installation challenge with ease and cleaned up along the way. Jeremy, QA Manager knocked on my door a few hours later to make sure I was happy. Kudos to all!
I found my salesman very knowledgeable concerning my appliance chooses. Definitely a noticeable difference compared to any home center purchase. Brady and Scarf provide a professional industry experience.
If you want a terrible overall experience, this is your place. I have been waiting almost 7 months for my appliances, still have not received them. They have complete disregard for their customers. They will lecture you on how you dont understand their ordering process and the way their warehouse runs. They want to bring the appliances one-by-one, so you have to take off numerous days from work. They passed my order around from initial location (Alexandria) to now I am dealing with corporate who continue to lie and make excuses. I had a simple request, bring all of the appliances together and install them at one time. So once a month I will receive a phone call from corporate who will then lecture me on how I am being difficult and I should accept a washer and dryer this time, and then next time the stove, then the next time refrigerator and so on. Be smart, go elsewhere. They could care less about you or your requests. You are one of many to them. Ordered on June 03, 2020 and still have nothing (JAN 2021)! I wish there was a zero star rating because they have earned it. hope this review will help others to chose a different path.
The salesman was very professional. He handled an unusual credit card issue with aplomb. I would recommend your store to anyone seeking stoves or refrigerators.
Great selection & knowledgeable staff made our experience very smooth.
Ciera was very helpful in the ordering process, Going the extra mile to find the specifications for my old whirlpool model so I could replace my refrigerator. The ordering process was very easy to do remotely.
Tried to shop local for a new dishwasher. While they advertise they’re less expensive than the box stores and offer better customer service, unfortunately, we didn’t see that. Prices were not much better - and ordering/delivery was a mess.Set up a 2pm video conference to shop online with the store - but no one called or emailed at the time. An hour later we sent emails and texts asking what happened. Someone finally called - apparently without seeing our notes and without offering much of an apology - and we spoke on the phone instead of browsing via video. Stayed committed to the local store and made a purchase with promise to deliver in 3 days (as our current dishwasher is broken.)The next morning we got a call that their delivery trucks were broken so we needed to reschedule for three additional days later - again without an apology. Looking forward to a week of hand washing all our dishes...So they probably should take down the signs out front saying they’re so much better than the box stores - who offer next day delivery...
While shopping at Bray & Scarff in Alexandria, the salesman was very courteous and knowledgeable. He also took the time to show me how to operate my new microwave and answered questions about other appliances. I will definitely shop there again!
Mike Gustafson from Bray and Scarf was extremely helpful. He went above and beyond helping us actually get backordered matte white GE Cafe appliances and dealing with our kitchens design restrictions as we changed the order multiple times. Plus they will also get you lower prices than homedepot/lowes and help with the rebates. Would completely recommend the store and him.A few things I learned for others:* Fridge installs take a long time like 3-4 hours, plan accordingly.* Ovens come in 2 widths 27 and 30 (and sadly cafe only makes 30 versions in the matte white)* Rebates are complicated, make sure you get help if needed.* There are rebates for any modifications needed for install - be sure to take advantage of those.
McKinnley was very helpful and efficient in the purchasing process.
Great price, spot on advice, easy transaction
Cierra was extremely helpful. I was able to email questions before hand and when we arrived she presented us with a list of appliances she had researched that could meet our needs. After spending days staring at a computer screen, trying to understand the difference between brands and models, Cierra’s input was a HUGE relief. Ordered immediately and looking forward to the install! Thanks Cierra
McKinley greeted me shortly after I entered and proceeded to help me in a very professional and knowledgeable way. There were many Covid 19 precautions in place. Overall, it was a great experience.
Ryan gave me a day of delivery of my freezer then calls me back saying that he can’t deliver on the date and will call the following Tuesday with a new date. I got no call just to call the store and found he was off the day he said he would call. So I still don’t know if I even have a freezer being delivered. Horrible follow up.
Staff was friendly and not pushy, which I really appreciate. I was surprised pricing was competitive with big-box stores, and in our case was even cheaper.
I always go to Bray And Scarff to purchase appliances. It’s what they do. They are very knowledgeable and helpful in showing the features and options. I feel like the prices are competitive, and the process of purchasing is much more pleasant and personal than going to a big box store!
Ive been waiting on a dishwasher order since early January. Called today for the third time to check on order status. Ciera Knox let me know that the model I’d ordered was still not in stock but that another model with very little difference (and $63.00 cheaper) was in stock. It is being installed next week. Thank you Ciera for the BEST service I’ve ever received from anyone there!
Michael was truly amazing. So knowledgeable and helpful. Some of best customer service I have ever had. Head and shoulders above what you’d get from a big box store.
Ciera at the Alexandria Store was great to work with on the purchase of a new microwave. She explored all the option and help develop a great solution.
Never told us our refrigerator could have been repaired rather than replaced. Probably fixed it and resold it.
Helped us find exactly what we wanted, very knowledgeable, highest quaity.
Went to the Alexandria location and bought a microwave (special order) from Sandy. Great Customer Service and was great to deal with such a professional. I live in Arlington but will drive down again to deal with Sandy any day.
Placed order for ~2,500 washer/dryer set on 1/7 sole because B&S promised 1/9 delivery and installation. Received call 1/8 offering delivery on 1/12. No thanks. Order cancelled.
Super knowledgeable staff, very friendly and polite. Their inventory is very large and anything they dont have in store they can show you online or a very comparable model to give you a solid idea of what your going to get. Purchased a double oven range and will likely go back here for any other appliances I need in the future.
Very professional sales person, and eager to please the customer.
Called Bray and Scarff first as I prefer not to work with the big box stores, to purchase a washer and a dryer. The salesman told me there is a national appliance shortage and that its tough to find washers and dryers (I needed them within the month). He told me hed check to see what is available and give me a call back with suggestions but he never did. So I ended up at Lowes. They have stock and I was able to get the models I wanted with no problem, and within two weeks. There also was plenty of choice at Home Depot. Dont know whats happening at Bray and Scarff but dont give up - appliances are out there.
After our fridge died suddenly we went to to the physical store, but they couldn’t hel us. Marelen responded to a text and found the right fridge to be delivered in just three days. Lifesaver!
Went in to buy an extra refrigerator for my daughter and related to my salesperson Ciera Knox what my specs were a lower priced fridge with a certain width that would through our doors. She checked on line and they had a good fit so I took it and should have it in a few weeks or sooner.I like that their prices are competitive, can get the product quicker than others, deliver service is customer oriented, and sales people can always give me the right fit.
Incompetence. Ordered a dishwasher in August and still no word on when I will get it. Multiple calls and all I get is we dont know when it will come in. I fear I may never get this thing!!!! Click and bait at its finest. They were quick to take my money, but no communication on when I will ever get it.**Update** I finally got my dishwasher!!! It really is awesome to have a dishwasher again! With that said, they did install it for free (husband was going to install it to save $$) and they took my old unit away, so im bumping them up to a 4 star. I still wish they could have been more transparent in the communication, and had to get a little nasty with them to get any traction, but they did apologize and made good on the delay.
This is the worst experience with any warrantied product I have ever experienced
Purchase of a new refrigerator was made seamless by the kind and professional attention of Michael Gustafson. The delivery and installation also a breeze thanks to the communication of their scheduling system. A subsequent problem occurred and the follow up by their entire team was responsive and prompt. I will never buy an appliance anywhere else.
The worst customer service experience ever! I walked into the store, the manager (I think) and a female salesperson was on the telephone the male salesperson was assisting a customer. After waiting about 15 minutes, the manager gets off the phone and proceed to work, I waited for about 10 mins and the manager never acknowledge me. Then I said, excused me but may I get some assistance. Then the manager comes over and asked how can he help me. I told him what I needed, he pointed to the female salesperson and said that she will help me. The manager returns to his station and proceeds to work. Now, I am standing and waiting for about 15 more minutes and the female salesperson is still on the telephone. So, she ends her call and never acknowledged me nor did the manager mentioned to her that I was waiting her. So, I made an executive decision and left the store. Not one person was bothered that I was leaving the store. It was the most humiliating experience! Now, I am thinking it was something else and preferred not doing business with me.
This review is based on Mr. McKennley not giving up. After calling several stores and getting nowhere I called Mr. McKennley at the Alexandria Va. store. He was very professional and when I told him the brand and machine I want he replied give me a minute and I’ll call you back. The other stores made comment about low inventory and slow shipment, Mr. McKennley called me back and found the machine we were looking for in the color and pedestals to match. They were even on sale and he shared that with me. They were deliver and installed with in a week and we are very pleased with the experience. When your willing to spend your money you want people to show that they appreciate your business. Mr. McKennley was that person for us and we thank him and the team for a job well done.
Good price, great customer service from the sales and delivery team. Used to be a Home Depot or Lowe’s customer for appliances but not anymore.
From the moment we walked into the showroom, it was a pleasant experience. Our sales person, Sandy, was personable, helpful, polite and efficient. He really knows his business and the product. He answered all our questions and we set about making the purchase and having the delivery set up. Our deliverymen were the installers and they made an extra effort to ensure all was connected properly and working as intended. A really great experience over all. Thank you very much.
Workers here are knowledgeable and helpful. Bought our new Speed Queen washer and dryer here and had an awesome experience with the store manager. Will be back for all major appliances!
Their price beat sale prices at the retail home improvement stores and with a price match it’s hard to beat them. I do have to wait 3 weeks for my unit to arrive but I expect that during this pandemic.
Great customer service. I needed a dishwasher and they were able to walk me through their options within my budget.
Excellent rep for the company
Great customer service provided by Mike, which made the buying process smooth and easy. Definitely recommend this location for your appliance needs.
9/14/2020 - UPDATE on my 9/2/2020 review below - per Aaron at Bray & Scarff, we emailed him to have him call us to to address. We have emailed twice now since 9/2/2020. Still no response. Again, communication lacking and no follow-through.I am so sad to give such a poor review, especially after we received what we thought was great customer service the day we went into the store to pick out a new washer & dryer. They were informative, attentive and helpful. We selected washer and dryer the last weekend in June and our customer service person said it would be delivered on July 10. We figured we could live two weeks without them and it was fine. They went so far as to say someone will call you on July 10 when the delivery is a half an hour out. July 10 comes, and at 5 pm, no delivery. We called Bray and Scarff and they said there appeared to be a delay. We asked if anyone was going to call us to tell us that, and they apologized and said they were really busy. We went in the next day to talk to the gentleman who sold us the machines and he said oh now...July 10 was only an estimated date. Note, no where on our order form does it say estimated delivery date. It says Delivery: July 10. He acknowledged he should have called us but just didnt have time. He told us probably end of July now. It is now September 2 and we still have NO WASHER AND DRYER. We checked at the end of August and they still had no idea. You would think they would offer to pay for our laundromat services, or pay for a rental washer and dryer. Something. Anything. I know its Covid-19 and manufacturers are delayed, but that doesnt excuse their behavior, poor communication, lack of transparency and ability to problem solve and give us a temporary solution while we wait. They dont even care that we have had to pay more money on top of what we have paid them to continue doing our laundry. We have not yet cancelled our order, but were getting close to it. I will update this review if they can get their act together, but in the meantime, I do not recommend Bray and Scarff.
I recommend this store they have all you need besides all of them are very professional.
Caveat emptor; buyer beware. The only easy part of this process was spending the money. Everything else was a headache. My husband and I decided to buy a fridge, dishwasher, and over the range microwave. We started our search at a big box store, found the models we liked, and learned that the fridge wouldn’t be in stock until at least January 4, 2021.So we shopped around and ended up at Bray & Scarff on Rt. 1 in Alexandria. Ciera was happy to show us options. Once again, the fridge was not in stock, but Ciera promised us that a truck was on the way, and we would receive delivery the following week. So we purchased the appliances on November 28, 2020.We didn’t hear from Ciera during the next week. When we finally made contact with her, she told us that the truck that came in only had 32 units on it, and we were #36 or something. Thus began a lot of back and forth with Ciera and Mike, the store manager. No one proactively called us and most calls/emails were not returned. We always felt as though we were given the run-around. Stories were never consistent, leading us to wonder what the truth actually was. Had our expectations been set properly at the outset, maybe this process would not have been so awful. We’ll never know, but we did learn that we would rather work with stores that are upfront about backorders and anticipated in-stock dates. We ultimately received delivery on Tuesday, December 22. The delivery was a disaster. Our window was 4-8pm, but the delivery team did not arrive until 10pm. They called at 7:45 to tell us they would be late. When we asked what would happen if they didn’t deliver that evening, they told us that the appliances would be returned to the warehouse the following morning and we’d have to call Bray & Scarff to re-schedule. The installation was completed at 1:20am Wednesday morning. There was extensive damage to our walls. We emailed Mike as the delivery team pulled away and included pictures of the damage. We received a response that did not provide any solutions or remedies. We were told that the delivery team was a contractor team, which goes against the promise on their website that all installations are performed by Bray & Scarff employees. We were also told that he would have to talk to the install office regarding who would pay for the damages and would get back to us.We responded with an email requesting various remedies, including reimbursement for the drywall repair and painting, the cancellation of the extended warranty for the fridge, and a refund of the delivery and installation charges. At the time of this writing, we have received full reimbursement from the delivery company for the damage and a refund for the extended fridge warranty. We were supposed to hear from “James” at the Bray & Scarff corporate office regarding an additional partial refund for the delivery/installation charges, but unsurprisingly, we haven’t heard from him.We will never return to Bray & Scarff.
Thank goodness my friend suggested Bray & Scarff because I would have ended up at Home Depot or Lowes. The experience is night and day from a customer service standpoint and they are actually competitive on prices. A WIN WIN choice. Excellent !
Absolutely extraordinary and outstanding service both from Michael at the store and Julio at installation. Customer orientation was superb. Installer technical skill was exceptional. Installer showed every courtesy, Worked hard, and did superior work installing the dishwasher. Much appreciation For The generally terrific and marvelous treatment upon purchase and upon installation.
Easy to use website and great follow up by the in-store team.
Zach was very helpful on the phone trying to guide me to someone who might service the elderly dishwasher that was left in the condo we just bought despite the fact that this company no longer services the brand. Who knew that anyone in today’s world could be nice to people who they wouldn’t be doing business with!”? Thanks Zach!
I was getting frustrated searching online for the ideal dishwasher to replace a year-old one that unexpectedly conked out on me. I chanced upon Bray & Scarff in Alexandria & dealt with Tim Smith, who helped me every step of the way — from choosing the dishwasher that suited my budget and met my standards to arranging for its delivery, haul & install. He also explained in detail why one brand I chose was better than the other. He promptly arranged for the appliance to be delivered and installed at my earliest convenience. An invoice with all the particulars, including a rebate coupon was also promptly emailed to me. Kudos to Tim who made my online shopping experience a very pleasant one.
We received excellent customer service. Mike was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He was able to explain the differences and the pros and cons of different models. We will definitely shop here again.
My husband and I went there last night. Drove an hour to get to Alexandria. We need to purchase all new appliances for the entire house. We were there for 45 minutes. Not one sales person asked us if we needed any help. NOT ONE! There were about 5 or 6 employees working. When we walked in, we were the only customers in the store. Shortly after us another family walked in. Guess what...they received service. Not us. No one ever addressed us the entire time we were there. Even at the time we left, it was just us and that one other family. I guess they didnt want our money. They certainly will not get it now or ever! I will absolutely tell all of my friends about this terrible experience and to never use them.
I received a prompt reply from the Alexandria Bray and Scarff store to my inquiry about purchasing a new oven similar to the one which has provided us years of service. Thank you!
Sandy was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and worked with me to get the best price. Will be going here for all future appliance needs.
I have very challenging dimensions for my refrigerator and I was working hard to find a replacement within these dimensions that also had the largest possible interior space. After several hours of trying to do the research and feeling frustrated, I called Whirlpool to ask them what options they had and I was told they had nothing that would fit.I then called Bray and Scarff and Tim answered. He helped me promptly. After some discussion and a few minutes of research Tim made an offer of two different refrigerators that would fit my needs: one a whirlpool and the other from another company I was interested in. Tim sent an email link to describe for me the costs of both refrigerators installed and delivered. He made the process seamless. I looked online at pricing of the two models he recommended and Bray and Scarff’s pricing was the least expensive shown online. I replied to Tim’s email stating which one I preferred and he called me back the next day to get the credit card and delivery information! Done and looking forward to the installation!
I recently got in touch with Bray & Scarff to replace my non-working Themador wall oven which is part of a unit that has a working microwave. They sent people to take measurements as this 15 year old oven is not available and I have to replace the entire system. After making the measuremenst, the Assistant Store Manager from the Alexandria store called me to let me know that the new Themador unit has a high amps so I would need an electrician. I asked if there is another option so she said that she will research it and get back to me. A few days passed by without anything happening so I decided to stop by the store. When I went there I discovered she said the information to the wrong email address! At any rate I decided to buy the Bosh unit since it is a better match to my present system and it si $2000 cheaper than the Themador unit. Delivery is expected to be the third week in January which I am not happy about. That means I will be with no oven for more than 2 months!
Very helpful service and advice.
Needed a stack washer/dryer for a condo. McKinley at the Alexandria store was efficient and helpful with understanding the options for an alternative vent configuration. Got things lined up quickly after I fumbled around with the big home improvement chains. Installation went smoothly with no issues. Highly recommend.
Had a great experience today with Wayne in Alexandria .Last week was also pleasant!Mike G is a great salesperson. Professional and responsive .
Love Bray & Scarff- excellent prices, selection but most important of all, SERVICE! Tim Smith helped us most recently to select our new dishwasher. He was very knowledgable about all of the inventory and focused on our concerns. Seamless service in the store. Easy and fast delivery by a professional crew. Very happy with the whole process. Thanks B&S!
We were greeted immediately and allowed to shop without pressure. When we selected our new stove all of our questions were answered throughly. Purchasing was painless as was arranging for delivery, installation and removal of the old oven. Couldn’t be happier with the service or price.
Br&Ss Tim Smith is wonderful; so responsive!! He took care of our family recently with the perfect combination of appliances for a very small galley kitchen; fixing potential issues in the MOST responsive manner Ive experienced in a very long time. Love that man!
Great purchase experience with Sandy for all new kitchen appliances. Super honest, very detailed. The installation was an excellent experience.Support after the sale, however has been awful. Supposedly under warranty, it took 3 weeks to schedule a tech when the brand new built in microwave failed. The tech showed up - hung a tag on our door and scurried off. We were both home, no knock or ring. We got a phone call *after* claiming theyd reschedule this week. Never heard back.Contacted KitchenAid directly for support. We will never do business with this company again.
Tim Smith at Bray & Scarff in Alexandria VA was absolutely amazing. He loves what he does, knows his business inside and out and strives for total customer satisfaction which is why you need to purchase from Tim. Bray and Scarff won’t leave you at the mercy of the manufacturer if you have a problem down the road.I gave Tim my price range for a refrigerator, dishwasher, range and hood and he was able to significantly beat Home Depot and Lowe’s prices in the area for the same products. Additionally, he threw in a $50 rebate. He itemized and explained each cost in detail including installation and removal. I was shocked at the deal he was able to give me. Tim offered a discounted 5-year protection plan including $300 for groceries if your refrigerator is down for an extended period. I highly recommend the protection plan. The appliance purchase was effortless and working with Tim was an absolute pleasure.
We remodeled our kitchen in August 2019. We purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave for approximately 4,500. Sandy was very helpful while we were selecting our items. They were delivered on time and installed by our contractor. Five months later the refrigerator failed and the saga began. We were six weeks with no refrigerator while we worked with GE. Because we didn’t purchase the extra warranty with Bray and Scarff they offered no help. So why did I even go there, it was no different than Home Depot or Lowe’s. I won’t be back!
