Lindsey Volvo makes scheduling and maintaining your vehicle hassle free and customer friendly. Although dealerships are infamous for repair cost, the service team did a quality job with fair pricing. I rely on their expertise to keep my vehicle running efficiently and safely. My Volvo is 20+ years old and runs well because I have relied on the expertise of the dealers’ mechanics.

Great service from calling to make an appointment to getting the car back.Cordial people who listened and performed the repair as requested. No more, no less, they did not try to sell unneeded services.The service representative was very helpful and professional.The repair was competed on time and done right the first time. These last 2 points are in contrast to Fairfax Volvo, whose people are rude and every time I had to return because they did not perform service or repairs correctly the first time.I am glad that I found a place to service my Volvo where my experience was the complete opposite to Fairfax Volvo and that I will never have to return there.

My car alerted me that it was time for routine maintenance (30K service). Scheduled the appointment at Lindsay online via their chat support, which went very smoothly. Brought the car in at the scheduled time and they were ready for me. Staff were friendly and professional across the board. Liz was particularly helpful, keeping me updated while I waited and explaining the work being done. The work took somewhat longer than estimated, but when I saw the details of what was done it seemed reasonable to me. The waiting area is also quite nice--I had brought my laptop so I could work, and I was able to occupy a work station and be productive for the duration of my wait. Free coffee/water/soft drinks were available. The waiting area and restrooms were very clean. There are other Volvo dealers in the area, but Im sticking with Lindsay.

Lindsay was able to work on my vehicle the same day even though they couldnt put me on the schedule. They resolved my issue at no charge since it related to an earlier service. They washed the outside of the car after service - a simple but great customer service perk.
Elizabeth Quintana is one of the best service advisors I have ever worked with. She is always responsive with my maintenance and maintenance plan but more importantly she really helped me when I had an emergency fix that I needed when I was supposed to go out of town. Super easy to book service appointment on line. My 2021 Volvo even sent me a reminder of the service appointment. Lindsay made the drop off easy with a night box loaded with forms and pens. I got a text first thing with my assigned service advisor. The car was immaculate when I picked it up and they even inspected it for me! And the service was free! What more could you want?!
The sales staff were very informative and patient. Although I didn’t get the deal I was looking for I feel I walked away with the car that was the best fit for my family.
When I saw my Volvo xc90, white on white, in my drive way, it was the most beautiful car id ever seen. oh my goodness1 every time I look out my window I smile. the white was so brilliant. the inside was immaculately detailed! I walked around this car several times and it was shinning from top to bottom! I had been looking for a car for six months. I went from car lot to car lot. The cars id seen were not cleaned. I just didnt get good service. I decided to give Lindsay Volvo a try. Bill was so accommodating, so friendly, he assured me I would be making the right choice. And I did! The sale was over the phone, easy! peasy! I have had several brand new cars and this was by far the easiest way to purchase one. I am so so satisfied with the service and of course my Volvo XC90! Lindsay worked me into thier schedule after I experienced a flat tire that occurred hours after my first years service appointment. The issue was disturbing as the tire was damaged on the side and would not hold air. Daniel met me at 6:55AM and assured me the matter would be cared for. The lobby was busied with other owners who had appointments. Daniel was positive and reassuring, something that I needed. In approximately four hours, I received a call that my car was ready for pickup. In this season of increased anxiety, it is great to work with someone that shows concern, works well with diverse personalities and is confidently competent.
The service was 4 stars. I am taking away one star because Lindsay Volvo did not notify me that the parts related to the recall affecting my car had arrived. The staff was very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns. Also I liked the fact that I was given the option whether do some of the less critical repairs.
My primary contact, Ted Glover, was exceptional. He educated me on every mechanical, safety and special feature on the vehicle I was considering. He was extremely knowledgeable and took his time to answer all of my questions and to show me all of my options. In addition to the above, he was a true gentleman and acted with the utmost professionalism. Working through the process with Ted was a delightful experience. Stopped by minutes before closing . Instead of scheduling an appoint the kind service manager said he would have his mechanic take a quick look. They fixed the it on the spot in 2 mins and waived off the charge.What a terrific experience!

Like many of the negative reviews Ive seen, my complaint has nothing to do with the sales associate, Ted, who was very thorough, kind, responsive, and professional.Part 1: I purchased an S60 that was damaged in transit to the dealership, and as such required some body work and repairs prior to me taking possession of the vehicle. I purchased on a Tuesday and was told Id have the car ready to go by Friday...... Fast forward a week, and no sign of the work being complete. Ted kindly arranged for a loaner vehicle for me since the repairs were taking far longer then initially anticipated.He called me that morning to confirm when Id be in to pick it up, and I made arrangements accordingly. I arrived at the arranged time, and was told they didnt know if they had anything for me. I was then told I had to resubmit all of the paperwork that was already on file from my car purchase the week before.Part 2: After another week passed, I called to check on the status of the repairs on the vehicle I purchased. I was told the I had to call the body shop myself and was given their number.....when I called the body shop they said they knew nothing about my car. I called back and and was told oh, I guess it is here. Was then told that there were still more phases of repair required (again, well beyond the initial timeline I was given.)Part 3: Finally got my car on Monday. Had mechanical issues already on Tuesday and called to see what can be done....transferred me to service who never picked up, and then voicemail to voicemail and still havent heard back with a resolution.

Drove 4 hours to see a vehicle after email correspondence. The condition of the car was not listed nor disclosed in any of the emails exchanged.This vehicle had been in an accident. The right mirror did not work. There was cancer rust on both sides of the vehicle. The left side vents blew cold air when the heater was turned on (heater coil), the control buttons on the left side of the steering wheel did not work and there were two oil leaks under the vehicle.The salesman Graham was extremely helpful and professional. The manager on the other hand was extremely unprofessional, rude, condescending and laughable. When we disclosed the issues that we found he went and retrieved the mechanics report. He then handed it to us, turned around literally yelling twice as he walked out of the front door Passed with flying colors! Followed by giggling. The form said no visible leaks though when we checked it in two different spots our hands were covered in oil. We took it upon ourselves as the customer to check the oil prior to test driving because no one at the dealership was aware of the leak or seemed to care.. we did not want to cause a bigger issue with the engine and be at fault. We would be able to fix these issues if they would deduct the amount of repair cost off of the asking price, which was only 3,000. Ofcourse they said no. And, that is okay. We have since purchased a newer vehicle of the same model with no issues from a more professional establishment. If you want to work with honest people and get what you pay for. DO NOT SHOP HERE FOR YOUR NEXT VEHICLE!
I purchased an XC40 last year and that was a wonderful experience. Today I took the car in for the 1st annual service. I was greeted by Elizabeth Liz Quinta who was as friendly, polite, and professional as one could hope for. She asked what I wanted done and made the appropriate notes. She told me that the services I asked for would probably take two hours. I agreed to wait at the dealer. About an hour and ten minutes later she came over to tell me that the work was almost done and that I should get ready to leave. Sure enough my car was brought around as promised. All work was done quickly, efficiently, and professionally. A car wash was thrown in for free at the end of the service. 5 stars on my buying experience about a year ago and 5 stars on my first service experience today. Thank you to all involved at Lindsay Volvo. I will be back.
Donald was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He provided excellent customer service and I was able to work with the manager for a great price on my new car. They had the best selection of any dealership in the DMV. I completed the paperwork online and the car was delivered to my home, so no waiting around at the dealership!

Had a great experience with my car buying. Test drive wasnt pushed, salesman was knowledgeable and smiles stayed on everyone faces even way pass closing time. I had to take a star away because there policy on used cars is no topping off on fuel on delivery (got less than 1/2 tank, dead battery in one of the fobs (got stuck there) and no license plate frames (screwed straight on car). Financing dept. was AMAZING. Id buy here again in a heartbeat.

Lindsay Volvo forgot about our scheduled service appointment, refused to accommodate us in their schedule, claimed our pre-paid service (despite not performing the actual service) and then we had to go through the giant hassle of having them call and reserve the claim / charge. We have had many frustrating issues like this in the past. We will be exclusively using Don Beyer Volvo for our service and any other appointments from now on.
This dealership offers unmatched customer service and truly takes care of its customers. I purchased my Volvo in 2019 and only return to this service center for my car service needs. Steven helped me set up a service appointment, troubleshoot key fob issues and suggested low-traffic times in which I could get additional support, if needed. Would not bring my Volvo anywhere else!

Shady… not cool. I scheduled my 40k check up and opted for the valet service which states that it is free for repairs over $500. Within an hour, I received a call stating that the web price was wrong and that the service is nearly $900. I opt to call another dealership that quoted me $500. I requested that Lindsay return my car to me in which they proceed to tell me that they would charge me $60 for valet. Reluctantly, the service manager stated that he wouldn’t not charge me. Look, I’m pretty chill. But, what we are not going to do is not honor the price and jack the service charge up by nearly $400. And the ‘tude that Miss Liz displayed… no ma’am.
I worked with Rob Cuffee from Lindsay Volvo for about 6 weeks to locate the perfect Volvo XC40 to my exact specifications. I’d been working with 2 other local Volvo dealers, but Rob delivered. After I purchased the car, Rob spent at least an hour with me going over all of the features and configurations and answered all my immediate questions. He also offered if I have any other questions about the car, or how something works, to call him and he would be happy to answer them for me. I appreciated that Rob wasn’t all about the sale. As a Volvo owner himself, he really wanted me to be confident and comfortable with my first Volvo. He’s really knowledgeable and passionate about the brand. Im really big on firsts, experiences, and customer service. I had the best experience from beginning to end, with the first call before my visit to when I arrived to working with the finance department. I rarely if ever give reviews, but I had to share the experience that I had with Mr. Cho and Mrs. Carlson. Excellent, top notch service! Im grateful for the part they both played in my first car purchase.

The worst experience! When I approached the 2 service people who were working to drop off my car, they were each eating and neither set aside their food or acknowledged that taking care of my drop off was more important than their lunch. Second, I missed the initial call with what was wrong with my car but returned the call within the hour. No one answered ans I left a voicemail. When no one called in the next couple hours, I called back and received voicemail again. I waited another period of time and a woman did pick up my call. Placing the burden to continually need to call back is not good service. Then when agent told me my repairs would cost over 10K without offering any details, I again was taken aback. I had to request a detailed break down, more issues here that I won’t bother with. I decided to buy a new car in lieu of having my car serviced. When I went back to collect my car, they could not find my paperwork! I waited 30 minutes for the agent to locate the paperwork, I was shocked there was not a central repository for these things at such a busy dealership. Then they wanted me to pay for the assessment without having disclosed that detail to me in advance. I refused. Overall, I would not recommend Lindsay auto.

Our 2021 XC60 thought we were in a skid when we accelerated from a Stop sign. Took the car to Lindsay Volvo Service at 07:00 on a Friday morning. The technicians reloaded the Volvo operating system software and gave the car a test drive. The problems appear to have been fixed.We were pleased that Lindsay Volvo could fit us in so quickly to resolve the problems.
I was extremely satisfied with the service that I received from Danny and the service department at Lindsay Volvo. They did an amazing job at setting my expectations and communicated frequently to update me on my service.

In particular Danny Schirmann, was great.The only complaint I had was the internet service in the customer lounge didnt support video. I would like them to increase their bandwidth or stop blocking video service in the future.

My experience with Lindsey Volvo Alexandria was less than desirable for car maintenance service. I checked my car in for service three days early. I think there scheduling was off but they said it was my scheduling was off. Never mind that they could look into the system and see it was there team that altered the original schedule. The second undesirable event, I identified my warranty was as located in glovebox. Only to find out by the service manager after the fact that lindsey volvo dont accept Guardian Auto Shield warranty. For that matter it is many other warranties not accepted he said. They are to much trouble to work with for payouts. I felt I could have been told before hand so that I could make a decision whether to use Lindsay volvo are some where else. He stated his staff was new and maybe I should have been told upfront. As service manager he stated it was his call to determine which warranties to accept. I knew where this was going, the buck stop here attitude, never mind lindsey volvo policies. Now I am compelled to get the word out. The consumer could be throwing money down the drain buying Volvo third party warranty. Who will stand up for the consumer? The last undesirable is i see lindsey Volvo going so far out of there way to be efficient and customer service oriented that they have miss the mark and drown in technology communication overload. A simple appointment schedule.

Bought a used car at this dealership in March 2021 because it was an established business rather than a roadside dealer. When the vehicle was delivered to me it had a problem and dealership stood behind their promise to repair the vehicle and not use the bought As is as a means of getting out of their responsibility to repair same because I never got a chance to drive the vehicle. The Salesman, Gus and his Manager Markell were great and took care of everything !!! I would definitely buy a vehicle from this dealership again ! Many thanks to both of them.

Called ahead to let dealer know that we were en route, but due to unexpected traffic would arrive shortly before closing. We were interested in a quick test drive of one specific car on their lot -- wed driven the same model elsewhere, just wanted to confirm the options on this one. Salesman we spoke to was extremely rude; he first said *he* wouldnt take the appointment because he wanted to get home, but we could show up if we wanted to and see if anyone could help us. I explained that we were just looking for a 5-minute test drive to confirm this was the vehicle we wanted, but didnt want to drive 30 minutes if no one would be available to help us. He put us on hold, then came back and said, yeah, we all had a busy day and just want to go home, but you can come tomorrow if you want. Thanks but no thanks.

One of the most amazing and pleasurable car buying experiences I’ve had. From Samantha the Customer Care Assistant who kept in constant contact with me to make sure I was being taken care of all throughout my experience. To Richard Tenhue the Sales Professional who called and emailed me the very next day after I inquired about my car. He made sure I got in touch with the right person who could help me with the vehicle I was interested in. The wonderful David Grimm who not only answered all my questions but took such great care of me. He even took time to check up on me as I was driving from D.C. to Dallas. Making sure I was safe and the car was good. Then there was Robert Kirksey, the Finance Manager that made the paperwork quick and easy. Even when we ran into a little roadblock he worked hard to get it done. I can’t say enough about what an exceptional dealership this is. We worked with salesman Graham Byrd at Lindsay and we can’t say enough great things about him. Having already been to one Volvo where we received a quote on the 2021 XC60, I called Lindsay and asked Graham to quote me for the same vehicle. He came in with a very competitive offer off the bad compared to what we had been quoted at the previous dealer. Then, once in person, Graham was very thorough, polite, and not pushy in any way. He gave it to us straight and was very helpful in explaining all of the features the car came with. Overall excellent experience.

High professionalism, clean with social distant considerations waiting room. Oil change service was good except every oil change Ive had since 2011 when I bought the car was with a synthetic oil without asking for it. It is the recommended oil. It was not a matter of the additional cost that would have been paid to obtain it. I was surprised to see conventional oil on my bill.

The service department is not what it once was. A 2.5 hour scheduled appointment took a day and a half for the same service. No apologies or anything for dropping the ball from any of the three service advisors I spoke with. I will not be going back.
Working with Lindsay Volvo Alexandria used to be a pleasure. My most recent leasing experience was not the best. The sales representative was great. None of this other stuff is his fault It was the finance and especially the service which was not the best. I had an appointment to finish my leasing paperwork. I get there on time but had to wait three hours for a finance person! Everything is paper. Do we live in the 1970s still? Get it streamlined electronically. The whole time I was waiting, do you think service would give the car a check? Nope. I drive home and alarm events pop up on the dashboard during the drive. It is the 4th day and I still dont have my new car. I am not priority enough. Cant make money for service on a new car. Everything is under warranty. So it sat for two days. Thought is was ready. Now it is something else electrical. To top it off, they provide me with a subpar sedan loaner car with huge stickers promoting their Volvo 4th of July sale on the side of the vehicle. Really?! I am supposed to drive this car around promoting them! Volvo was top notch for years. I dont know what is going on with them, especially service. No one from management has called. No customer service other than from the sales rep. I am so disappointed with Lindsay Volvo of Alexandria.
Donald was the absolute best. Made us extremely comfortable and never made us feel pressured. He found us the exact car, down to every detail and spec, that we wanted and got us a price that we were comfortable moving forward with. We just drove home with our new Volvo XC90. First off, we loved working with Graham. We weren’t fully ready to purchase when we came in a few months ago, but left without feeling pressured. Graham was respectful in his follow up and was always knowledgeable about what was available within their inventory. For this reason, it was easy to come back when we were ready to purchase. Their finance team was knowledgeable, honest, and articulate which made the final steps incredibly easy. We appreciated the overall experience from the Lindsay Volvo team and would definitely recommend them.
