I don’t even know where to begin!!! Needless to say, the service department at MINI of Alexandria ROCKS!! I went to the dealership because my hazard light was on for a day light replacement on my 2017 MINI Cooper. I was hesitant on going to the dealership in fear of astronomical costs. I decided to give them a call and was greeted by Lauren. She was able to squeeze me in on the same day. After inquiring about the cost, she later transferred me to Frank. Frank assured me that I’ll be fine and he looked forward to seeing me. I live 30 minutes from the dealership but it was definitely worth the ride! When I arrived, I was greeted by Miguel (I think that’s his name) and he gathered my information. I sat in the showroom and waited patiently while my car was being serviced. I later received a text from Frank (and I saved his number in my phone) letting me know the status of my vehicle. About an hour later, Frank came to the showroom to greet me and updated me on my car. He was pleasant and personable. I later paid for my vehicle and was greeted by Ms. Clarice. My goodness, her customer service was impeccable!!! I joked about having to go “up a hill” to get to my car. Ms. Clarice left her desk to grab a bottle of cold water and handed it to me. When I got in my car, I didn’t realize that my car was vacuumed and wash until I saw the card placed on my dashboard. I purchased the MINI last year as a treat to myself since both my children were off to college. Prior to that, I’ve been with Lexus of Alexandria for years. I would highly recommend this establishment to any owners of the MINI family!! I wish they had ten stars⭐️ to give!!! I’ll definitely will be back again.

Terrible experience walking into the Mini of Alexandria dealership on a Friday afternoon - salespeople didn’t get up from their seats to assist me, nor did the salesperson show any initiative in getting up from his chair and physically showing me any of the cars that I was interested in, he merely turned his computer screen and hesitantly relayed the information that I had read myself, at home. The fact that I had walked in with a FULL loan and desire to give Mini of Alexandria my business and money could not have changed this lazy employee’s demeanor. Clearly these salespeople do not want to sell cars. I took my business elsewhere and am thrilled to give any other MINI dealership my money.

The first time I came here the service was good. The second time has been very slow. I will probably only come here when my car only needs to be serviced by a Mini dealer otherwise its not worth the 90 minute drive just to get here.

I recently had my annual service visit. Im very pleased with how it went. Frank Rivera was an exceptionally helpful service advisor, and Brianna was very personable at check-out. Though I didnt meet the mechanics who worked on my car, Im happy with its operation since the visit.

I really appreciate Mini of Alexandria calling to remind me when my inspection and maintenance were due. This is especially nice when they are all complimentary with the maintenance package I purchased. I pulled in at 9:30am, worked from their comfy waiting area and pulled out at 11:00. Easy peasy!

I went here for my initial vehicle service on 19th of June. Prior to them checking up the vehicle, Chris from the reception had told me my Mini is still up for warranty that I did not know of. I purchased my car overseas and just need to transfer the warranty of Mini USA. I had them replace my front wheel instead for a reasonable price. They even washed the vehicle for a 20 minute labour. Mini of Alexandria has an excellent team. Genuinely pleased with their customer service.

While Im new to the MINI experience, Ive been around the dealership maintenance track a few times ... MINI of Alexandria is the best Ive seen amongst several vehicle types and several dealerships in the NoVA area. On time, reasonably priced and exactly to the estimate provided, and courteous throughout the process. I didnt purchase my MINI there - thats my mistake - but Ill only get my MINI serviced at Passport MINI in Alexandria.

I been a royal customer to Mini for 4 years. I never gonna visit or get my service done at this place. Worst service experience.I got a flat tire (with a big nail in it) arrived at the service center by 8am sharp on a Friday morning. Representative mentioned that it it’s gonna take around 1 and half hour to get the service done. Friday usually I will be my extreme busy schedule ( I work for a IT company). I have requested for a loaner car ( it’s not the first time I have taken a loaner and submit it safely) representative mentioned NO I can’t give a loaner for one tire service? Whatttt If it’s two tires then ????No value for people’s time.This could be last service at this place.

Very pleasant and quick! There was some confusion from my lease assumption and they understood 100% what had happened, explained my options, and got everything updated so the maintenance was covered under the warranty. They inflated my tires and washed the car afterward too, which not every service center does anymore. Great experience.

I recently ordered a new X1 from BMW Passport in MD, but had it delivered to the Performance Center in SC. It needed a VA inspection and emissions test, so I brought it to Passport Mini to complete those items. They were quick, efficient and super friendly. I would recommend MINI of Alexandria in a heartbeat for anyone interested in a new Mini or in need of inspection or emissions!

Worst Customer Service EVER!!!If I could give zero stars I would!! I have been trying to get someone to respond to me for over 60 days on a refund for an extended warranty and cant even get someone to call me back. Fred in Finance finally left me a message a week ago when I escalated to his manager, but now he has fallen off the face of the earth apparently! SO disappointed in this dealership and their lack of concern for their customers! Never ever will I buy from them again!!

Mini of Alexandria hit it out of the park! I was traveling to Washington DC when I had a tire blow out. I called roadside assistance and it was like having a guardian angel. They walked me through the process. Set up my car to be towed to Mini of Alexandria. Jairo treated me like family. He checked in and kept me posted on everything. I was back on the road in no time. WOW. That kind of customer service is rare these days.

***Update after response - It was a check in the box call from the GM who tried blaming the Department of Motor Vehicles for the issues. Lets be clear - Post sales support was terrible, both from the title dept and sales team and Mini of Alexandria. Edited down to 1 start for trying to put a shine on a terrible experience and blame others for their shortcoming.***** Would not purchase another car from this dealership. Post sales support is terrible.... I contacted by sales person, Vinni, via email and calls and he either wouldnt respond or would be very late to respond. I called into his manager and never received a call-back. I was asking simple questions, like how long I had on the Sirius trial. When they were transferring the tags from trade-in, they took forever and my temp tags were within days of expiring. When they did transfer the tags, they renewed the tags for 1 year instead of 2 even though I paid for 2. I had to call in, spend hours on the phone, and help them figure out they shorted my renewal..

Went in this morning to check out a used 2019 Mazda CX5. After test driving we were ready to purchase and pay their asking price. I told Jeffrey, my salesperson, that I had made an inspection appointment that morning at a local Mazda dealer to make sure everything checked out. I just wanted to make sure there were no surprises before buying. He refused to let me get it inspected and blamed it on his manager. We left. He called me a little bit later and said he talked to another manager who made an exception for me to get it inspected. At that point I was almost home (I live in another state). I do not believe he talked to any managers and was just playing games. The car has been on the lot for almost two months - youd think they would want to sell it to someone willing to pay asking price. I am very disappointed in my experience.

When I set out to replace my beloved 17-year-old mini Cooper S, I got kind of neurotic. During 5 visits to Mini of Alexandria I must’ve exasperated the entire sales team before sales manager Peter Lawford intervened and turned me over to Todd Bartnicki. After ordering the 2022 version of my old car, Todd reached out a number of times, giving me updates on the production and shipping of my car. His help was superlative. When the car arrived at the dealership Todd set up my Apple car play and took great care to show all of the new technological features. I really appreciate all he did for me and highly recommend him for his expertise and guidance in buying my car at Mini of Alexandria.I bought a 2-door hard top 2022 Mini Cooper S with manual transmission, in ‘enigmatic black’ with black bonnet stripes, and all the extras. The color, a real sticking point for me, is brilliant: glittery, navy blue in sunlight, blue black at twilight and black at night. I miss my ‘barebones’ old car, but my new Mini is so luxurious and such a joy to drive that I won’t look back. Thank you, Todd!

After purchasing my Mini Cooper from Passport Mini of Alexandria seven years ago, Passport Mini has exclusively serviced and repaired my car. My October 2020 service was the latest example of Passport Minis five star performance. Technicians thoroughly inspected the car, identified needed maintenance, excellently performed that work, and repaired several items, including a hood latch I accidentally broke. Gomez kept me informed. The complimentary rental car performed flawlessly that Passport Mini provided while my car was serviced . A delightful surprise was that maintenance and repair costs were below what Gomez anticipated. Last year I had a terrific experience with Frank Riviera; Gomez was equally good. I trust Passport Mini, and hope to buy my next Mini from them, and have them serve and maintain it.

I had a very disappointing experience with the sales person. The individual acted as though I was bothering him when inquiring about the different versions of the Mini. He made no effort to talk with us about buying a car. He acted like he couldnt get rid of us fast enough. I like the Mini but I will buy from the dealership in Sterling. I encourage others to think twice about going to this dealership. I gave a rating of two stars because I like the cars.

Purchased my Mini here this past weekend and even through these tough times and the rain, Joey was excellent. I felt that I received a good price on my new car and treated fairly. The paperwork was a bit long of a wait about 2-3 hours since there was little finance staff available but eventually it was done. Still, there were a good selection of models and impressed with service and professionalism

I bought my 2012 MINI Clubman new and am pleased that Passport MINI of Alexandria always takes the time to do the service right. This recent visit addressed the lower control arms; with over 135,000 miles, it still drives like new with proper maintenance. A past oil change service also needed some assessment on the engine and transmission - things were diagnosed and repaired correctly. Thank you Justyne, Carlos, Ricky, Ceasar, Leo, and Daniel.

I have had my Mini since 2012 and Mini of Alexandria has always provided excellent service. Of course, service is never cheap, but the staff is always courteous, the waiting area is clean/pleasant, and they keep you updated while work is being done. They have also always offered a complimentary loaner if the service goes beyond a couple of hours. It’s clear they take customer service seriously.

Can not overstate how incredibly frustrating and awful my experience with the Passport team has been. I leased a car in the summer of 2019, which means that the dealership handled the registration. For some reason they put I garaged my car in Fairfax County even though I live in Alexandria. I have been trying to have them fix my registration for almost a year and they flat out refuse to help. At this point I have paid 2019 and 2020 personal property taxes to Fairfax County (almost $1,000 out of my own pocket) for no reason other than gross incompetence of this dealership. They are the worst. Do not give them your business.

Recently I purchased a previously owned Mini Countryman during COVID-19. My sales rep Yves was as always so helpful through out the whole process. It took awhile to get my registration and tags but they were helpful in updating my temp tags and reg. I love my new car and I highly recommend going to Mini of Alexandria for any Mini Cooper purchases and service.

I recently got at new 2021 Mini Cooper which I truly adore!! The salesman Andy is absolutely amazing and super nice, he was such a huge help from day one. Anyone would be crazy not to come to this location.

Went to this dealership 3 times in a week, was negotiating/ asking questions about a specific car and they sold it without even giving me first right of refusal or a call to let me know. The salesman was clearly unfamiliar with the differences between mini models. Even told us a car didnt have a spare tire when my dad was staring at the spare...Mini of Stirling has much better service...

Awful customer service. They do not value a customer and their management are disrespectful. I would not purchase a car here given they did not register my car with the DMV. I am currently driving on expired temporary tags from them and told I am driving illegally by a local police officer. The dealership will not respond to calls. Their managers will not answer my calls. It is extremely frustrating to have spent a significant amount of money on a car that you cannot legally drive given the dealership staff has not done what they are supposed to do over the last 5 weeks.

We were in need of a used, budget-friendly but dependable car within a fairly short turnaround time, and MINI of Alexandria came through with the major assist. Found a couple of options, requested info and made an offer online, received a text and call back within the hour, came down a half-hour before closing and met Blake in person, he stayed late to go over our questions and options, and by the end of the visit we had settled on our new Fiat 500 (only 2 days in driving it, but so far really happy and no surprises).Came back 2 days later to fill out forms and pick up a car that had gone through inspection, registration, and full cleaning and prep (for the other side of the District) -- saving me multiple trips and lots of time. Also wanted to make note of the safety precautions taken by everyone, we felt welcome and safe and appreciate all the measures they go through to sell us a car during a pandemic without a hitch. A positive experience but disappointing results.I visited the dealership twice within a month due to the check engine light coming on (for different issues). I wanted to take it to the dealer because any repairs that had to be done I figured the dealer would be the most knowledgeable and efficient in making sure the car was in perfect condition.They helped me out a ton the second time I was there but one of the repairs I had gotten the second time was supposed to have fixed the engine balancing while idle or at low speeds. Not a month later and I already had to go back because the engine was rattling again but this time no check engine light was on. When I went to drop off my car again, they were going to charge me $145 diagnostic fee (which pays towards repairs). Given that this is my 3rd time there in such a short period and Id be paying *minimum* $145 for something they said they fixed just weeks prior, I didnt feel comfortable that they would solve the problem and Id be back again within a few weeks. Decided at that point I just needed to cut my losses and go to a repair shop in the area who can hopefully solve my issues.**Gomez has such great customer service. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and cares about the customer. Couldnt tell with the other folks there but Gomez really does an exceptional job.**All in all, can recommend taking your car here if its under warranty. If not, I get the impression itll be a lot of time and money before youll be able to restore a normal drive experience. Very disappointing to say but youre likely better off going to a standard repair shop in the area.Did also work with some of the staff in Sales and had a relatively positive experience. We were building a car which turned out they just do through the website which was a bit strange in my mind because I could do that at home. While I ended up not purchasing a new car, they did a great job of walking through the options and pricing; they seemed to lack a bit of knowledge on some of the finer details but overall they were helpful.Between my experiences here Id say it hits minimum expectations but really lacks anything to set it apart from the other dealers and repair shops. Wouldnt recommend going but wouldnt dissuade you either. Maybe youll have a better experience.

A scam with the complimentary state inspection. Ive been coming here ever since 2015 and every single year theres been something wrong with my car that fails the inspection. Yes - my car is 2009 but only 50,000 miles have been on it. Its either a very badly made car, or this dealership is using this service to make money on parts. Not coming back here ever again.

Do not purchase a vehicle from here or get service on your vehicle here. Just months after purchasing my mini from this location, I am extremely disappointed.1. Days after I drove my vehicle from the lot after purchasing, the power adapter was not operational.2. Months after purchasing the vehicle the tire pressure sensor was faulty. I have continued to need to check the pressure manually3. Months after purchasing the vehicle, I parked and turned off the mini with the automatic light switch on, as many do. The next day after a storm my car was completely dead.These things can be expected with cars, but what has made my experience so unpleasant is the way I’ve been treated as a customer.With situation #3, I was told that I left the parking lights on, and that my new battery replacement would not be covered under warranty. I am now extremely concerned something is wrong with the automatic switch. The service center does not trust their customers and tries to placate them with meaningless discounts.With situation #2, they also stated my tires were low, and I’ve been manually checking the pressure and they have been normal pressure levels (and I’ve had service shops check for me as well).I will try the mini of Montgomery country next time. Hopefully they treat their customers with more trust and care.

Purchased a car from this location in May and did not receive the registration until late September; I found out the car was registered on CarFax. Dealership was uncommunicative during the interim and I had to call corporate multiple times. Corporate had to compel Mini of Alexandria to contact me with information pertaining to the matter. Finance office (Linda) also gaslit me because she did not ‘believe’ that the City of Philadelphia was actively checking registration and that I needed up-to-date temp plates. She also did not look up this information online because she told me that she had not upon return of my call. (I called 9am, she returned my call after 4pm) During this conundrum, I also discovered the dealership sold me the car with mismatched tires which were too small for the vehicle and which were causing extensive wear and tear on my vehicle’s system. They also carved an ugly makeshift hole into one of my mirror caps upon installation. These actions compelled me to report this dealer to the Virginia Motor Vehicle Dealer Board.

Carlos, in the Service Department, is fan-freaking-tastic. Just took my Countryman there for a few issues and Im so thankful that Carlos was my advisor. He is exceptionally professional, responsive, and honest. I had quite a bit to do on the car and he worked with me to prioritize the most important repairs/maintenance without any pressure....and thats why Ill be going back to see him again and why Im writing this review. After six years of ownership my free maintenance contract expired at the dealership. I assumed that the dealership service would always be more expensive and spent some time researching other (closer) car repair places. Much to my surprise, Passport of Alexandria service prices are super competitive - often lower - than their competitors, especially if you take advantage of any specials they advertise. Additionally, I already knew that the Service department is excellent. Terrific communication, friendly people, and a very nice waiting area or loaner car available. Ive had Carlos and Frank as my service advisor over the years and both of them are very professional with excellent communication.

I bought my 2015 MINI at this dealership last year and had a very good buying experience. But even more impressive is the exceptional service department. Recently I brought my car in for a low tire light, and they got me out in about an hour --checked all the tires, re-set the system, topped off fluids and even a car wash, and it was all complimentary! Medardo was facilitating everything and was very helpful and kind. Overall the customer service is the perfect combination of both efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!

I just got my first MINI from MINI of Alexandria over the weekend. Matt Karau was my salesman and was fantastic from start to finish. I was comparing a few different cars, and he made sure that I made the best decision for me, and not for the dealership, even saying that one of the cars was a better deal. However it was his honesty and how he handled my entire purchase that sealed the deal for me. I will definitely come back for my next purchase.

Service at Mini of Alexandria is top notch - they know what they are doing and give it to you straight. Frank and Jairo (check spelling) are terrific and answered all of my questions and concerns. They listened. Everyone in the service department is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely horrible service. Andy was our salesman, and first of all he was constantly pushy, talking non-stop, and being absolutely rude. It was a used car we were interested in, and he made several jokes for us checking the car thoroughly. Luckily we did, though! The ABS was not absolutely not working in the car we test drove. And Andy just said “it is an old version of ABS”. This is an absolutely *security relevant feature* and it was not working. Not only this but also the ABS light which should indicate such a crucial failure. If you know anything about cars you know that this should not happen and the ABS light should work. Why it didn’t in that case...? I don’t know but surely smells like fraud to me!

Loved the experience purchasing my used car here. The support staff answered questions quickly and were very helpful. I was only at the dealership for an hour and 15 mins. The car was ready when I arrived, did a test drive, they filled it up and cleaned the car while I signed some documents. I also enjoyed a complimentary donut and water....yum. Working with Mo and Jeff was easy and enjoyable. Mo took me for the test drive and answered all questions I had and was fun to talk to. He went above and beyond his responsibilities to make sure I was taken care of, as Jeff was off work the day I wanted to see the car. When I came back to purchase, Jeff made it very easy. No pressure from anyone, anywhere. Good price on my car, very satisfied with my purchase.

I recently had to bring my Mini in for service and since I had to pick up my boyfriend in DC, I decided to book an appointment with MINI of Alexandria. I knew my car needed regular maintenance and a few things had to be replaced but the service received was amazing. Justyne made sure I was aware of all that was needed immediately and what could wait a bit. I also decided at the last minute to purchase a part that was missing and she made sure that was taken care of as well! I live about an hour from this location, but after the experience I had I may continue to use this MINI while I live in VA

Just bought a car from here and it was a great experience. Highly recommend them - they def try to do everything they can. My point of contact was Blake who made the experience great for my wife and 2 kids. Peter (manager) was also one that really does a great job in focusing on that experience. Highly recommend them.

I got my first mini🚘 a month ago, I absolutely love it.The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and they made it really easy and enjoyable. I totally recommend passport, and thank you Jerome:)

Hate going to this place. As soon as my warranty is over and out of there. They have this whole extra list of things theyre going to charge you for that they dont tell you about an advance, and you cant get a copy of list for the things that are recommended or required to take care of your car. A simple tire rotation and balance is double what they charge at my typical garage. And its not even included when you buy a brand new car. Every other dealership Ive ever dealt with it was included without an additional charge. And once again theres no list of this stuff. No way to plan or act to proactively. Beware. And did I tell you it takes forever to get an oil change? Pack a lunch. And weekend appointments are pretty much unavailable. And they tell you loners are available when you buy your car its included in your purchase price but then when you need one they dont have any.

Alexandria Mini is awesome!!! Every business would benefit by following their example of outstanding customer service. I bought a 06 Mini with 75k miles on it and no warranty. They had no problem dropping it off at my mechanic so he could inspect it before purchase. He noted a few minor things, nothing unusual for an 11 yr old car. I felt comfortable with the purchase. A week later it starts making a noise. My mechanic had the worst news. The transmission needed to be replaced and it would cost almost as much as I paid for the car. I went back to the dealer prepared for a fight. Not necessary! They took the car back and applied what I paid towards an 11 that was the same make, model and color as the car I had just purchased and fallen in love with. Alexandria Mini customer for life!

Having owned a Mini before (from Richmond) we like and appreciate their low pressure approach to sales. However we visited the Alexandria location in person and both my husband and I felt a general lack of interest/apathy from the person at the desk to the salespeople. Couple that with not receiving a response back from a car we built online and asked about and it just made our decision to purchase a Honda instead that much easier! You pay more for a Mini with less bells and whistles so one would hope that the difference would be in the details and customer service. Im writing this review as a gentle poke for Mini to not become slackers and miss a sale!

Absolutely the BEST car buying experience we have ever had!!! Our sales rep, Jeff Wannall was EXCEPTIONAL! Cannot say enough about his professionalism and helpfulness. Fernando in Finance was also a great resource. Will be buying another car from these folks in the future.

Every single time I come in it is nothing but excellence. I actually am happy to have any service done because I know Im going to a place of friendly people with a perfect work ethic. It honestly surprises me how often Im either smiling or laughing when Im here talking with my service guys and gal. They always go out of their way to make sure nothing gets missed and that Im able to take advantage of any minor fixes free of charge. The reason I am posting this review now is because after a horrendously long repair job (54 days) by an entirely separate Mini Collision Center, a job that ended with damage to my shifter knob and rust(?!?) specks on my roof, my friends here at Mini of Alexandria jumped right on it and buffed out the rust and replaced my shifter all free of charge even though they technically arent connected to the Mini Collision Center in MD. All in all I have NEVER had better service at any place with any make of vehicle. If your looking to buy definitely talk to Vinnie of Mini!!!

I love the team at this dealership. Service and Sales are always the best. I have bought 2 new Mini Coopers and the process both times were thoughtful. My trade ins were sought after and I was happily rewarded at this dealership. Went in for my annual oil change and was told that I have a couple of things in my Mini that needed to be fixed. My advisor told me, it wouldnt be ready until tomorrow. I told him that I would need a car in the meantime. I got set up with a rental Mini which happened to be a 2015 Mini Countryman. Which was perfect because I wanted to try out a new Mini and it was newer than my car to boot. I quickly got used to the car and before I knew it had to take it back. I returned the 2015 Mini for my 2013, and was sad to see it go. But the service in returning my car was fast and didnt cost a thing. I was still covered in my 3 year/ 30,000 mile no maintenance warranty. Also, they also always clean your car after every service. I wish they would have cleaned the inside a little better. But overall, another happy visit.

Five years of experience dealing w Passport Mini Alexandria service and sales. Always satisfied! Service desk reps are knowledgeable and helpful particularly w extended warranty repair work. 2008 hardtop w 75k mikes runs smoothly and kept in fine condition through regular servicing and advice at minimal cost. I have worked with Justyne in Service a few times now and she is always very helpful. They text me updates in addition to email and are very responsive. Even the loaner coordinator is easy to work with and friendly. Ive had bad experiences at other dealerships but never here. Would happily recommend Justyne for service advise on your Mini!

I purchased a vehicle recently at this location and my experience was absolutely amazing. It was so easy - everyone was incredibly kind. I worked specifically with Jose Lopez. The process took a couple hours and was seamless. The staff here is professional, personable, and knowledgeable. I got prequalified prior to visiting the dealership and the finance officer was able to get an even lower APR rate. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I highly recommend them for your next vehicle purchase.

Decent dealer and professional services, but be ready for the usual tricks and games dealers love to do to keep their prices up, and to sell you packages you wont need or warranties that are very unlikely to save you money. They are friendly to eventually make more buck, not to help you out.

Hao Nguyen has been really helpful in my process of buying my leased MINI-Cooper. He went above and beyond his duties and responsibilities to help me with the buying process and securing a spare key. I had previously leased a mini and loved my 2 door but I decided to check out a few other dealerships and soon regretted it. The mini dealership is respectful and not in your face like other places. Everyone there is so laid back and understanding of your time. Mo was a great salesman. He was direct, understanding, and fair. I was so happy with my experience at Mini and with Mo. I decided to get another lease for a 4 door and was in and out within 3 hours. Thank you Mo!

I didn’t purchase my car here but live nearby and do all my maintenance here. I always feel I’m being treated honestly and my car stays in great shape. Service is completed quickly and communication throughout is great as well. You could go elsewhere and possibly save a buck but I would rather have experts (who have parts in stock) doing the work.
