Our experience with Arlandria this summer was not good. We had to have the team come back to the home three times to fix a broken board as well as put back together our closet.I’ve attached images of the cracked board we asked to have replaced, plus the first attempt at fixing it.A few days after the project was completed, we noticed a bolt was missing from one of our toilets and water was leaking on the new floors. We also had a broken light fixture and water damage on basement walls. All of these became additional expenses for us after working with Arlandria.We really had to advocate to have this project done correctly. It was exhausting. Having dealt with several other contractors for our new home in the last few months, our experience with Arlandria has been the most frustrating to date.

WE LOVE IT!After multiple visits to your Mt. Vernon location, multiple “take home” samples, and endless patient help from your staff, we chose floor tile. Raymond measured our floor and prepared the paperwork, Erich scheduled our installation, Rachel called with last minute reminder/instructions and Jeff Terry (a magician of a craftsman) and his crew installed our magnificent new front hall floor.This is home number eight for us. Arlandria Floors did an amazing job for what was not an easy project. We asked them to match an existing carpet, which was no longer being made -- they found it somehow -- and use a combination of the carpet and tile across the main part of our basement to create the impression of different rooms in one space. Raymond was incredibly helpful and the project went very smoothly and wound up being very cost-effective. It also looks great - we are thrilled!

Arlandria floors was fantastic and really helped me out in a pinch. I was finishing a project and realized that the shoe molding I needed to match was an odd size. I went to 7 different stores—big box stores as well as flooring specialists—before going to Arlandria floors. Everyone else I visited told me that the size I needed (3/4 x 3/4 shoe molding) did not exist and I’d have to accept a different size that wouldn’t transition well. Arlandria was able to give me exactly what I needed and the results were fantastic. Justin was extremely helpful. Pics of final product below. They custom made a perfect size and color match for me.

I called several local flooring companies for a wood floor refinishing estimate and Ozzie at Arlandria Flooring was the only person to answer the phone on a Saturday and schedule an estimate for the next business day. He arrived promptly and was knowledgable and friendly. That same day, my carpet installation with another company fell through while he was there. I was in a panic but Ozzie quickly jumped into “hero mode” by coming up with a great solution for carpeting on the spot. Within a few hours he brought me carpet samples and coordinated installers for the next day. Though I did not end up needing this company for carpet installation, they will be the first ones I call for my future flooring needs. Thank you Ozzie for all of your help!

Raymond was incredibly helpful. We were in a rush to keep our project on time, and he helped us identify the right flooring for our space and arranged delivery ASAP. Will definitely go back to Arlandria for any future needs.

I recommend everyone at the highest level. The quality of the work is excellent. The job was somewhat complicated, involving both carpeting and vinyl plank flooring. Despite that it was completed in one day. Jeff and his team were very efficient and careful handling my belongings.

I’ve been waiting for weeks just to get a quote from Matt. I keep getting promises about getting it later in the day and it never comes. I am very disappointed as I can’t even get past such a basic step.

UPDATE: Both Rachel and the owner called me to apologize and offer both a partial refund *and* for them to take the nightstand to their shop for sanding and repair. I accepted the refund offer but declined the offer for them to pick up and repair the nightstand. With how the last few months had unfolded, I was not confident that the repair would be done timely or successfully. I do appreciate them calling back and offering these, I just wish it hadnt taken so long.--------------------------------The Good: The new carpet looks great and it was really nice to be able to talk to someone and see samples as soon as you walked in to the store. (As opposed to the big chain places.)The Bad: The installation team left a deep gash in on the front of a nightstand. (See picture.) I understand scuff marks on the walls are part of carpet installation, but a deep gash on furniture is not acceptable.The Ugly: The carpet was installed May 15th. Two months have passed and the scratch still hasnt been resolved. Although I said from the beginning that wax fills or markers still leave very noticeable marks, that is all Arlandria has offered to this point.Im most upset about the lack of communication and that Ive had to initiate contact for any updates.I have waited to post a review in hopes that Arlandria would consider other solutions, but after two months of following up with them Ive grown tired of waiting.My wife and I chose to support a small locally-owned business over a large chain because we felt we would receive exceptional customer service. Instead, we paid more than we would have elsewhere, had furniture damaged, and spent more time than I would ever expect resolving what seemed like an easy fix.I wish I couldve written a positive review for a business thats only a few blocks away from our house, but the next time my wife and I are in the market for carpet we will look elsewhere.

Arlandria Floors did such a great job refinishing my floors. They showed up when they were supposed to and were super considerate. The floors look amazing and I plan to use them for several more jobs. They have an amazing selection of rugs, tile and hardwood flooring.

I needed to replace three stairway runners that we had installed 13 years earlier from this store. Not only did they still have the drawings and measurements of the stairways, but the original sales expert helped us find a great replacement. The installation was amazing as they did the cutting and binding right here in the house (machines and all). Excellent and professional service from beginning to end (while ensuring a high degree of COVID 19 safety). I would go no where else.

We are beyond grateful and surprised that not only do we have amazing new floors - we saved $3000 in doing so. Briefly, movers dropped a heavy piece of furniture damaging the original 80 year-old floors in a high traffic area. Several highly recommended contractors estimated the repair of the wood floor would range between $6,000 and $10,000. At the same time, our kitchen laminate floors disintegrated so the combined repairs were going to require more than a week of work tearing out the entire wood floor and peeling back the poorly installed sub-floor in the kitchen to level it with the wood floors.Arlandria Flooring experts came in, discouraged us from destroying the floors, showed us why we could salvage our original floors, and accommodated our very narrow time-frame to get the work done. In the kitchen, the team reassured us it was best to install a high-grade waterproof laminate. They found a nice stone finish that matched the back-splash and tile work behind the sink. They installed it in half a day, even rejoining the carpeting on the basement stairs to the kitchen entry-way to meet architectural standards. In the living room/dining room where there was a hole and weak spot in the 80-year-old, original, wood floors; the team recommended against destroying the entire floor. The team recommended removing the damaged boards and true to their assessment, the sub-floor was in perfect condition. Other flooring experts had recommended we remove the entire wood floor - which would have proved to be a waste. The team toothed in new planks perfectly with very few face-nails preserving the look and aesthetic of our floors. The sanding was perfect to level the floors without any swirl marks or other inconsistencies despite the ⅛ inch difference in thickness between the new planks and the original floors. We were even able to pick a new floor stain and Arlandia floors provided new, large shoe molding to match the original installation, an adjustment that was made on the fly. None of these adjustments delayed the project and within three days we had new floors, beautifully installed, and exceeding all of our hoped-for adjustments and requests.I highly recommend Arlandria floors for your next project, big or small.

I expected to pay slightly more at a local shop, but I was disappointed with my experience here. Their selection was low, theyre just pushing 1-2 brands for the flooring type I was looking at. When I finally found something I liked, I was quoted 28% more per sqft than another shop in the area for the exact same product. When I asked the salesman for more affordable options or match price, he just completely stopped responding to me. Oh well, guess Im going to one of the big box companies. Hey, I gave the local guy a chance and bent over backwards to find something that would work... but Id grade a D- on prices, D+ on customer service, and D+ on selection.

I had already chosen to install CoreTec planking for a 2,000 sq ft basement renovation, which including leveling the floor with concrete mix and installing the planking. I ended up talking to Arlandria purely by chance because they were listed by CoreTec as an authorized dealer that did installation.I was somewhat hesitant to use them because they had so few ratings on Consumer Checkbook, but went ahead because they were very competitive on pricing and had good Google reviews.I worked with Rachel (front desk), Tim and Ray (sales), and Jeff Terry (installation). Ive been doing most of the sub-contracting for the renovation, and Arlandria was a pleasure to deal with. Very professional, polite, responsive.A lot of flooring stores have similar products. What really made this experience exceptional was the quality of the installation. Jeff has worked for Arlandria for 20 years and does meticulous work. He installed 40 bags of leveler, which is tricky to work with, and removed several large depressions in the floor. His crew is very experienced and the installation of the planking was very clean and tight plank-to-plank, up to edges, thresholds, around appliances and fixtures. If you can get Jeff Terry for the installation youll definitely get something close to perfection.I would recommend Arlandria very highly.

Matt provided personalized service, going out of his way to explain the different products which helped me make the best choice for my apartment. I was able to take home as many samples as I wished for as long as I wanted. When I finally made my decision, Matt scheduled an appointment to measure my home working around my schedule. He provided a quote quickly and took the time to explain it to me. The installation was great - Mr. Kim and his partner arrived on time, did a beautiful job, and cleaned up as if nothing ever happened. And the new wood floors are fantastic! We had so many options that it was difficult to choose! We feel we recieved a great price for our new carpet. The installers showed up on time, treated my home with respect and did an incredible job. FIVE STARS for a great flooring experience AGAIN! I have made three different flooring purchases at Arlandria Floors during my 21 years of living in Del Ray. All work was completed to my satisfaction and with friendly service. I love that Arlandria Floors is locally owned and they have a huge inventory to choose from right on Mt. Vernon Avenue.

Once again Arlandria did a great job. They helped me to replaced some damaged wood in my house instead of selling me a whole new floor for a lot more money. Ive been using Arlandria Floors for years, and they always do a great job. Even now that I live in Woodbridge and not Old Town Ill still spend an hour in traffic to get there because I know they will do a great job the right way :)

I like to patronize local companies and stopped by Arlandria Floors in Del Ray to check out their selection and prices. The selection of wool carpeting was extensive, and we found exactly what we were looking for at a great price. Raymund was so helpful and is a terrific sales rep, easy-going and a pleasure to work with. He came out and measured and saved us a ton of money by figuring out how to lay the carpet with almost no waste! Once we decided, Rachel placed the order right away and we were called to set up installation within just a few days. On install day, the installers (Jesse and Jeff) arrived on time and did a great job. We were super impressed that Raymund stopped by to see how things were going and that Rachel called us to see how it went. All in all, the entire experience was pleasant, and we will definitely work with them again.

Rachel in the office followed up regularly with the status and was helpful in picking stain and carpet samples. It is just so hard to find a good, reliable service company. But Arlandria Floors was truly amazing. I bought an older (1925) home and was really hoping to get the hardwood floors refinished immediately after closing and before I moved in. They were so responsive, they really went out of their way to complete the job as soon as possible-- without sacrificing any quality. Raymond was my salesperson-- he was great. And Hector was the lead on the refinishing. I cant say enough good things about Hector. He was patient when a scheduling issue had another contractor doing different work still there when Hector showed up to get started. He suggested a color that I didnt even know about that ended up being the best choice! He very kindly collected all of the packages that were being delivered to that house on the days he was working there and brought them inside and out of the way of the floors (there were a lot). He and his crew cleaned up everything so perfectly each day when they were finished. Plus, he texted me pictures of the floors at various stages of the work! And the floors turned out absolutely gorgeous. They refinished, stained them a little darker, and replaced floorboards where there were holes from the radiators we just had removed. Couldnt recommend more highly.

The showroom at Arlandria Floors is a large showroom with a lot of samples of all different flooring options. Raymond and the staff are very knowledgeable. The Raymond and the guys from Arlandria Floors recently installed a new porch for our house. Our old porch which was 10 years old had not done well and I had not spent enough time painting it and caring for it. Of course having plants dripping water leaving puddles was not a good choice in retrospect.After looking at a number of wood options we went with a Mahogany. It had the right color for us, we wanted to deep brown color and we plan to keep putting oil on it so it does not become gray.Its done now and the results are amazing. The porch is so beautiful we are tempted to take off our shoes before crossing it.The workmen did the whole porch in one day, we did end up finding a few gaps which were filled with sawdust and sealed in, some rough spots from the manufacturing process were sanded down until smooth. Then we finished all with a coat of oil to get it to the darker color we wanted but also to help preserve it.I highly recommend Raymond and his team. Everyone was very nice and while Mary W notes in her review that things didnt happen instantly we went into it knowing that we are not their only customers and you have to get onto peoples schedules. I guess I feel better knowing they are busy with customers and not just waiting around because they are in-demand.

Arlandria Floors has me walking on air! They replaced some very mature wall-to-wall in my rec room and stairways with gorgeous beige wool rugs/runners. While measuring for the job, Justin even taught me how a New York corner enhances your stairs. The job was done on time, at the estimated price, and with great professionalism.If you keep your eyes down, my 40 year-old home looks brand new. My only complaint is that now I have to clean and touch up the walls to match the first rate floors!

We could not be happier than we are with our experiences with Arlandria Floors. Weve used them twice for two big jobs over the past year (they were recommended to us by a neighbor) - for Marmoleum flooring in our basement in 2018 and, most recently, to install a porcelain floor on our screened in porch. In both cases, the experience was terrific from start to finish.No pressure whatsoever - only helpful information and guidance on pros and cons of different options - in the showroom. They are also great about letting you take samples home so you can look at flooring in different light, etc. Scheduling the installation was easy (Rachel is fantastic!) and for both jobs the work crew was on time and a delight to deal with. They made certain we were happy with the results, and the followup call to confirm that before making final payment was much appreciated.I recommend Arlandria Floors without a hint of reservation - and wish there were more companies like them around for similar big home improvement projects.

Arlandria Floors did an excellent job from helping us understand the 101 on carpet. We needed a large custom size area rug, stair runner, and master suite wall-to-wall. They helped us figure out how to save money by using the left-over from the area rug for the stair runner. And Rachel, their operations associate (Iʻm sure not her formal title) did an EXCELLENT job communicating with us on every detail for on-time install - which by the way was the day before we were moving back into our renovated home. I reached out to Arlandria Floors based on online reviews to help with a flooring issue at my home. Tim arrived on time and assured me my floor problem could be fixed. The appointment was on a Friday and said he would get back in touch beginning of the week to schedule a carpenter to look at my floor. Fast forward to the next week and nothing. I know things happen, so I waited. A week later I reached out and left a v/m. Tim text me back w a quote for the wrong work. I explained, over text, it wasn’t what we discussed and never heard back. I was ghosted by Arlandria Floors.

This review is long overdue! My husband and I had an amazing experience working with Matt and Rachel from Arlandria Floors to install a stair runner in our home a few months ago. After a horrible experience with a local DC flooring store, we turned to Arlandria feeling desperate. Matt immediately calmed our fears by being helpful and courteous while we explained our desires for the look, feel, and placement of the runner. He gave us an excellent deal and took our measurements and promised to have the carpet installed in a very short amount of time. I believe it was about a week later that we had someone come to our home WITH the carpet to cut, bind the border, and install it THAT DAY! I could have cried I was so happy. Rachel was extremely polite with the payment processing and ensuring we were happy with the results. Weve referred two close friends to Arlandria for stair runners as well and we personally plan to return this fall when we install a runner on another set of stairs in our home.

We had a very challenging repair job since no matching flooring could be found for our 11-year old floor. Luiz removed a box-equivalent amount from a closet and relaid it in our living room. From start to finish Arlandria Floors did an outstanding job on installing new carpeting in my office. They have many choices in quality, durable commercial grade materials that are well worth the money. Regardless of the materials the most important thing is the fit and finish of the installation. Unless this is done correctly, your money and efforts are wasted. Jeff the lead man on the job was very attention to detail oriented. He paid special attention to the cobase and taped it to the walls to prevent gaps from forming. Everything was done on time and in a very professional way. If appearances are important to you and you have high standards and expectations then Arlandria Floors is the only company I can recommend.
