Some members of the staff were rude. One person was hollering about why I had to wear a mask while hers was pulled down. I had a set appointment and didnt see the doctor until 30 minutes later. After the 15 minute appointment, I was kept waiting to check out while people that just walked in were dealt with first. I was in the place for an hour and 15 minutes for a 15 minute appointment. The staff is very disorganized as far as customer paperwork goes. I will not be getting my new glasses there and I will never go back. Highly disappointed and will not recommend.

This place silences you if they dont like your review. Believe me there are a lot more bad reviews than what you see. They dont answer the phone, it literally goes to a call center. It is if you have a simple request or question dont even bother because it will take days for them to get back to you.

I went into the store to check out sun glasses to pick. I picked the ones i wanted and patiently waited till somebody came over. Well this guy came over he like who are you and i cannot help you not check in. Nobody check me in. Nobody knew what to do. The guy was all upset and rude as can be. Then told them i got my script in stroudsburg visionworks. They said would not have it and that their fax is broken. Did not even ask me if i had it, which i did and i just walked out. Never going there again!

Don’t even waste your time coming here. I was late bc traffic and construction was ridiculous on a Monday @1pm, there’s no direct number to call when you’re running late, any other dr office has a 15 minute waiting window in case you’re late, I showed up at 1:14 and was told the doctor already went on break, life happens, traffic happens, people running late cannot even contact you to tell you that they’re running late! It’s next to impossible to get an appointment, I had scheduled this appt 2 months ago And took off work to make it bc there wasn’t anything available for months out, but bc I was late and couldn’t reach anyone at the store I had to reschedule. Go somewhere else!

Rude and disrespectful. I went in to get my glasses fixed and the manager had an attitude with me saying he couldnt help me or do anything for me and slammed the door in my face saying that I cant look at glasses or come in when I have been a customer there for years and have spent lots of money there for glasses.. Never going back. Complete harrasment against me and extremely unprofessional.

Dont ever waste your money with a place you cant trust they will never tell you the right amount your insurance covers when you decide to leave and go somewhere else they will be ( oh by the way your insurance covers X amount which is higher than they told you at the beginning 🤔) knowing that i asked two different people to make sure the X amount they told me is right and they both confirmed that X amount is all I get, after I decided to leave then they told that my insurance covers more than what they told me at the beginning.The worst part is when you want to reschedule the operator on the phone will drive you crazy and whenever you want to talk to someone no one gonna answer and if you show up late on your appointment they will be mad even if its there fault because they dont any option for you to talk to the store.I went through most of the reviews they all have the same problem bad service and no one answers the phone.

Dont waste your time. Over a 36 minute wait, until I finally hung up. Automated phone system stinks. They dont put you on hold, they leave you for dead just to have a simple question answered. Id give it a -5 star review if the option was available. Worst system ever... EPIC FAIL.

Withheld my contact prescription from me for 8 months. They wanted me to get refitted for contacts because I was a new patient but I said that was necessary because I wore the same contacts for 13 years. Also impossible to get reach them to confirm appointments because they never answer there phones. Went to my appointment yesterday and they canceled it when I try to confirm and they don’t answer there phones 😡

I’ve personally been here before and these guys are amazing but not being able to get in touch in this manner leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I just need to say how kind every single staff member was today. Its actually took me by surprise in a world that isnt so kind right now and your staffs kindness did NOT go unnoticed. My father was 30mins late to his appt because we accidentally went to the wrong location, policy makes you reschedule if your 10mins late but Heidi the store manager went above and beyond to make sure my dad got seen today since hisglasses are so broken and he cannot go without. I really cant thank this office enough. Our entire family will be back and ill be telling my friends as well.

I just received my glasses and my best friend also received her glasses. My friend has never purchased prescription glasses before. So I took her to Bensalem vision works a week ago. We both purchased Our glasses and I, as usual, am never disappointed and my friend Isabelle cannot believe how awesome her glasses are. I must say there staff is exceptional. My measurements are always perfect. And the quantity is great. I have to also thank Mrs. Dilauro who helped us to make these purchases seamless, with great suggestions and advise, all while trying to keep us safe during the many issues we had to work under During the restrictions we are under right now. I really like coming here, and the associates are typically nice. I had a slight issues coming into the with covid guidelines and a slight attitude from associate, but i can only assume she had a rough day because she is always a ray of sunshine there. Please inform customers that they can only pick up and look at 8 frames at a time. Still plan on coming back in the future.

I know COVID-19 has interrupted many businesses, but I called to see if I could drop off my glasses to repair them as one of the lenses keeps falling out. I called to see if they were opened. After waiting 19 minutes, someone finally answered the phone and told me someone would call me back in 24 to 72 hours. I thought, really? Well, no one called me back. I went to the store on Friday, June 5th around 12 noon or so. I could not get into the store, but someone did answer the door. That person took my eyeglasses and stated they are 5 days behind and they will call me when they are finished. Today is day 5 and I have not heard one word regarding my glasses. I called today and after a almost 9 minute wait, was disconnected. I have called back and 10 minutes later, I am still waiting. I know better than to leave a voicemail as my previous experience tells me no one will call me back. Is there a problem with communication with this business? Both my son and I have purchased glasses at this store and soon we will require new glasses. I am going to have to think about whether I want to come back to purchases glasses hat Visionworks. It is much less frustrating going to a smaller eyeglass vendor to receive my lenses as I know they will call me back. I came to Visionworks as they accept my insurance, but it looks like it would be less frustrating to go to a smaller vendor and email my receipt to the insurance company to obtain reimbursement. Extremely disappointed in Visionworks. If you have employees furloughed, you should bring them back before your company ends up in bankruptcy with this poor service.

I get great service with doctor, I came back for an adjustment and because of covid & the rush I wasnt happy my glasses was tight. I came back for another adjustment & I felt like a gold fish stuck in a bowl eventually I was able to figure out the optician did too much & my lens popped out slightly & they didnt notice let me leave with out like that. Disappointed 😞 thank God u fixed it and I drove with a headache home

I am so frustrated with the decision I made taking my daughters to this place. I went back in February, the doctor they saw was rude to both my daughters. I let him finish but didnt trust one bit the prescription he did, willingly I went to pay but told them I didnt want the prescription. The manager helped me, wanted me to come back to see another of their eye doctors, so I did. We came in another day, the doctor was nicer and he had a different prescription for my girls. After spending right under $1000 for glasses and contacts for them, I have yet to receive a call for my daughter to come in to get her contacts that they have. Since february! Its about to be August and NOTHING. Never again! I understand the CDC guidelines but by the time she gets them her prescription is going to change, not only that, no updates! They NEVER pick up the phone, have been on hold on both my cell and work phone for over 40 minutes!

Both me and my son broke our glasses and cant even schedule or get anyone to answer. After having to drive to this location 3 times, because they do not answer their phone, it is time to find a new place for my family to get our eye exams and glasses. After 3 weeks I finally got my contacts and now I can not see out of them. I have tried to call, live chat and email this location with no response. I came in to get my glasses repaired and I was immediately assisted by this guy in his 50’s, I wish I would’ve gotten his name because he was very friendly and cared about my experience and I love that. He got my glasses fixed up in no time. I figured I would buy a case so I wouldn’t have anymore accidents and as I was going up to buy it he offered to get me a case from the back for free so I wouldn’t have to buy one and of course I gladly accepted. Overall satisfied with my visits 10/10.

Amazing experience here today! My glasses had snapped in half last week and I had them super glued they were a few years old so I figured nothing could be done. They were able to put my old lenses in a new frame (same one I had) for no charge! I was in and out in about ten minutes! They were all so nice I wish I would of done this last week when they snapped! Thanks vision works for making my day!

My wife, broke her glasses. (PANIC) The salesperson went straight to the replacement frames (WHAT). She had the tech swap the lenses (WOW). A slight adjustment to the frames(PERFECT) . I included Vision Works in my search for new frames after checking out the usual places (Lenscrafters, Pearle, etc.) for a prescription from my own optometrist. Everyone has big selections but its always the trick of finding frames you can live with from the sea of all the frames out there. Vision Works had a pair I was interested in and the person who helped me (Heidi) was very professional, friendly and incredibly helpful. With my insurance plan it was also a great price (compared to the others I stopped at), no fuss, no up-selling, just a pleasant experience. In the meantime I recommended Vision Works to my daughter in Maryland who was looking for new frames and than went on line to check reviews; almost all bad experiences by customers from all over. So, now Im a little skeptical about what Im going to get when I return to pick up my new glasses, are they going to be right, are there going to be other problems when I get there. I call ahead and theyre in as they said they would be. I get there and was helped right away in a friendly and professional manner and they are exactly as they were supposed to be, no muss/no fuss. Im in and out in 10 minutes and have to wonder whats going on with the other reviews. I had a great experience, the staff at the Airport Center were all great, all professional and the glasses were exactly the way they were supposed to be without any problem. Maybe its just this store, but, a totally great experience without any aggravation. Total thumbs up for this Vision Works experience!

A bit frustrated with the appointment scheduling. I called to schedule an appointment for myself and my parents on the same day. At other locations Ive been able to go in the same week, but they insisted they were booked until late July/August. However, my parents insurance has more flexible scheduling (Ive never heard this before) so they could see them next week, while I have to wait til end of July. I really need new glasses before a trip Im taking soon, as I have degenerative eyesight and am overdue. I hope this is legitimately something they cant control, but appointments based on insurance is just weird to me.

The rep I worked with found the perfect glasses for me on the first attempt we tried others but the first ones were the best. I could tell she was new too because she had issues with ringing up my insurance info but when your new that happens but she was wonderful and made sure I got what I needed! Also the doctor was first one I ever went to that realized my left eye was worse than anyone prior prescribed to me Ive tried to tell doctors before but they didnt believe me! This doctor was fabulous wasnt afraid to test my eyes for awhile til we got close to perfect sight!

I made my appointment 2 weeks ahead. This company had no problem messaging me and texting to remind me of my appointment even hours before my appointment but when I get there Im told the Dr. is running behind and I asked how long is the wait and they tell me maybe an hour! Why the hell couldnt you call me rather than have me drive in rush hour to let me know??? Totally regret considering them and glad I turned around and left. Poor customer service.

I have been to this visionworks location twice, and I have nothing but positive things to say! Both times I have been helped by Heidi. She is extremely helpful, listening to what I was looking for, making suggestions, and helping me find glasses to try. In addition, there was no rush to choose. My glasses have always been ready to pick up an hour after selecting the frames, and Ive never had any issues with them. Had an appointment yesterday I was 15 minutes late because there was an accident and the police wasn’t letting us pass, I was calling and calling but no one answered the phone. Once I got there and explained what happened the lady was annoyed and told me that they could not see me because I was 15 minutes late and it wouldn’t be fair for other customers I understood that but the store was empty no one was there just another lady and an elderly man who work there. She was trying to get me to reschedule but I am will not be in the country for when they had open time. I really needed the glasses cause I can’t see at night. I was at Visionworks for the first time after my vacation. My glasses broke, so I needed to get new glasses. I was very impressed with the help I received from Heidi, she took the time to explain the special offer through AARP and also helped me pick out a frame that I was completely satisfied with. When i returned to pick them up, again she wanted to make sure everything was perfect. The fit of the frame and that I felt good about the lenses.I would recommend this store to anyone in need of glasses. I will personally return again, and request help from Heidi.

I am extremely disappointed with this place. They don’t deliver in time. Had my eye exam on a Monday, they promised my glasses will be ready on Saturday (almost a week later right?) on Saturday only one pair of glasses was ready (and I had left my frame, so it was just a matter of setting the lenses in). I also ordered a pair of sunglasses, which weren’t ready and they promised me they would be ready on Monday. Today I received a phone call telling me they’re not ready and far from promise them for any time soon, they plainly said they will call me when they’re ready. Guys, if you can’t keep up with your orders, simply don’t promise what you can’t achieve. It’s easier and less disappointing for your customers to know they’ll take longer since the beginning. I will not recommend this place to any if my friends or family and will not return. I paid for a very expensive service from my pocket (even if it was my insurance paying I wouldn’t agree with the service) and I think for the price they should be better.

They do not answer the phone. Over the couple of weeks I have tried to call on numerous occasions, multiple times a day. The canned recording plays thank you for calling Vision Works... but nobody ever picks up. I finally went in-person to try to make an appointment. I verified the number and told them about my trouble getting thru. Apparently they dont care - a week later, its still not fixed. Nor does the online appointment scheduler work! If my insurance didnt require me to use them, I wouldve given up long ago!

Yes I agree, horrendous service. I made a PURCHASE of $250+ for contact lenses. They never ordered them. A month later i went to their establishment and an employee insisted it was my fault, I should have called them to make sure they placed the order. Even tough they gave me a receipt and had already taken my money. Nonetheless, it takes an additional 4 months for me to get my contact lenses. I had a great experience when I got my glasses here, but when I brought my mother in law here the other day, different story. Our sales person had to send a fax for my mother in laws insurance. Instead of waiting a couple of minutes (tops) she began helping another customer. My mother in law had her glasses picked out and was waiting. The other sales person skipped her and went onto someone else because he assumed she was being waited on by the other employee. After 45 minutes we left. What a waste of time.

This people lack true customer service skills. They like to waste your time and do not take into consideration that we all have busy lives. I have been going there for at least 3 years now, the experience has never been stellar. They dont help you to work with your budget at all,.... or offer any alternatives. They are just there to sell. I was rescheduled on 2 occasions with the excuse that they did not have time to see me that day ... I had already done the eye exam and have been waiting at least a month to be seen again for contacts - teaching classes.. its not that hard to sit someone for a few minutes to see if they can introduce their contacts or not. They do not provide you with the prescription of the contacts so that you are force to go to them. I will be getting these and running from there asap... wont go there again.

Unorganized and frustrated. The person who was supposed to call to teach my step daughter how to use her contacts never called. We called twice with no return calls. Very disappointed.

Two years later Im back with another review.the sale rep Im working with is good but the lab that the glasses are being sent to suck..lab in the store was the best.first my glasses been in limbo sense April we are now in july then a pair of my glasses was sent back to the store broken a designer frame I donot wish to replace them with nothing in the store because there are no designer frame there..this will be my last time dealing with Allentown visionworks if my issue dont be handle I spent alot of money in the last few years over there I think is very unfair and disrespectful to be handled like this

Vision works in the Airport Center has been the BEST place Ive been to in the 10 years since Ive weared my lenses. Ive been to multiple vision centers and Vision works has provided the BEST service. They are absolutely professional. The scheduling/appointment process is flexable and convientiant. The staff are so kind and created a balanced personal connection as well as a business relation. The glasses and contacts are affordable. They are detail oriented when describing your prescription and very helpful in the steps to having a comfortable lifestyle in your new lenses. I am super happy with my experience here at Vision works and Id recommend everyone. Thank you!

If you want someone to intimidate you and make you feel flustered then go here. Not happy with the service at all which is unfortunate because they had a great selection of frames and would have purchased two pairs of glasses.

New customers to Vision works. Tried to schedule eye exams for myself and 2 children. Not very customer friendly. They refused to make appointment for all three of us. They said it was a Max of 2 family members per day. How ridiculous that I would have to bring my very busy kids back at different days because of family appointment limit. Also 3 doctor cards on counter but no eye doctor in office and wouldnt be able to get appointment for a month. I told them Ill go back to Walmart where we can schedule all appointments on same day. Walmart always gives 2nd pair if glasses at 50% off and for $20 their insurance is well worth the cost. Vision works needs to get with customer service and less about doctors getting paid. Doctors need to have reasonable hours especially since there is 3 of them. I called Walmart and booked 3 eye exams for next Saturday. Sad a family of four lost business

Worst Customer Service, first lets start that my husband went to get his eyes checked and ordered a pair of sunglasses. He was told that the next day they were going to be ready. Ok, the next day my husband went to pick them up and was told they forgot and didnt even get to them. Ok my husband went the following day again to pick them up and when he got home, I took a look at them they were damaged from the frame. We immediately went back and he was told that they were going to order a new one. Well, more than two weeks later I had to call them to see what was going on. Well, the person that I talked to said that the sunglasses were not even send. ARE YOU KIDDING ME, WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS. He then said that he was going to call me back to see what was going on. Well, guess what HE DIDNT CALL BACK. Please avoid going to this place if you dont want to end up frustrated.
