Walked in and was quickly helped fixing my glasses, great quick experience.
Doctor was ok and friendly. Staff there are horrible. Always mad and unfriendly. They’re always in a hurry. They don’t care about their customers.
Costumer sevice with staff is unprofessional no smile, no greeting, very cold. Glasses are cheap but the store is charging more than it worth. Fashion on the of glasses is way behind.
Worst experience ever. First off the tech was rude and they charged me differently than what was told when I Scheduled the appointment. Second, the doctor had one gloves on the entire time I was there. I had to ask him to do hand hygiene and he only changed the glove. Mind you there’s still a virus going around so everyone should be practicing strict hand hygiene. Third when I scheduled the appointment they didn’t tell me they weren’t doing glasses due to COVID 19. Better spend your money else where.
Cindy from the Walmart vision center on Mill creek road In Allentown. She made our experience pleasant, I appreciate the time she took with my son and myself. So happy we had her assist us and provide us education with contact lenses as well as helping us pick out glasses!!!!
Had Appointment for myself N Daughter but turned out to be almost 5 hours.... staff n Doctor are nice but unfortunately they make appointments for 1/2 hour but don’t call u for ur time n it doesn’t take 1/2 hour with the technician n the doctor..... so be prepared to be there more then 2 hours ( does not include time to pick out frames ) also contact fitting fee of $35.00 is really a joke n rip off even more so that my daughter has wore contacts for 25 plus years! Any thing n Any way to RIP OFF MONEY then they do, wonder why insurance company will not pay for contact fitting fee.... hmmm! This is Walmart I’m talking about, not a high place leather chair seating with WiFi n 80 Inch TV with bottled water, coffee, or tea waiting room to see the eye doctor!
The service was excellent when I was there. However after now spending $450 on glasses I have tried to pick them up and seem to be having a hard time. Called during posted open hours yesterday but no one answered. I wanted to see if i could get there before they closed but since I couldnt talk to anyone I decided to wait until today. Hours say they are supposed to be open until 5 today. Got there at 3:50 and its closed. I call the main store and they said they had no idea they were closed. Came back and told me the store closed early but had no reason. This is a little frustrating.
It was slow service but the staff were very nice and patient with me. Though none of the staff wanted to help me find frames, a staff member finally did and was very friendly. Another staff member kept getting mad as she was doing a pre-vision test on me and couldn’t get the right picture of my eye.But I didn’t like the eye doctor. A male. He made me very uncomfortable. For an eye doctor, he still was way too close for comfort. Yelled at me cause I wouldn’t guess letters on the chart but I 100% couldn’t see them. Talked way too fast couldn’t understand him. Only reason I went here is cause of my insurance. I was there for 2 hours. 😑 I don’t think I’ll be going back there
They were so helpful and very friendly! Both of my daughters were very happy and very comfortable with the contact lenses process. The staff was very patient. I had such a great experience that now, Im making an appointment for myself.
Took a friend for an appointment with the optometrist. Due to COVID you have to wait for someone to let you in. I am okay with all of that. What I was not okay with was when the woman working there asked my friend all the questions, let him in, and then turned around and walked away without explaining to me that they were only allowing the patient entry. Absolutely unacceptable customer service.
Started going to this Walmart Vision Center about 10 years ago because they accepted our insurance and every other place that did kept changing their optometrists and I never really liked any of them anyway. We have been seeing Dr Kimmel ever since then and we like her very much. She is through and will answer any questions we have and is willing to work with us. Don’t know why the one reviewer says they wouldn’t give her the rx because we walk out with one in hand every time we go there. As for the optician services we’ve never had an issue. Contacts ordered can be sent to the house and any thing we order arrives in a timely fashion. Some days we might have to wait a little before we get waited on but the place is busy and come on it’s Walmart. What do you expect? Prices are fair. All in all having an optometrist we like and trust is worth any inconvenience.
The Optometrist was very good, but the staff needs some serious training and help! None of the techs or staff seem to know much and offers poor service as a result of it. The frames we ordered came in for my son, however the lenses were placed in the sample frames that were in the store to try on, a NEW pair of frames was not provided and they looked warn and the paint was coming off in the middle. I recognized this and asked them about it and the slimmer girl looked nervous about my inquiry. she told me that they were OUT of the frames my son chose and that new frames would be ordered and once they come in she will transfer the lenses to the new frames. That really put a bad taste in my mouth about how they fill orders. I found it dishonest that I was not told about it and that it was sort of covered up unless I asked. All day long people touch and place sample frames ON their FACE and those frames are NOT to be given to a customer to fill a script! I paid cash over $100 for that pair of glasses and expected a NEW pair of frames. They are also extremely short staffed as it seems they can not even bother to answer the phone, I have been on hold for over an hour, and tried to call back several times with no luck. They just dont care to even pick up the phone! Terrible. Unfortunately this is the only foolass place that excepts my insurance. So if your STUCK in the same boat we are in, then make sure your pushy and thorough about the product your buying and how your service is handled. Good luck!
Not only did i have bad service when i came here for me. Now my fiance is trying to order his glasses and when the lady was about to helps us she put someone in front of us. We are still waiting over half an hour now and the other work is to busy on her phone instead of helping customers. What crappy service here
Worst place to get glasses. Walmart should be ashamed of this portion of their business. Never going here again. The staff are constantly trying to challenge the warranty of their frames.
I called to make sure they accepted my insurance because the website isnt always accurate.. she said most likely, but would have to look up my policy number etc etc... 3 days later and I still havent gotten a call back, I even called the same day to I dont know, remind them.. but guess shes taking her time looking into it.I got an answer in 1 minute at eye2eye.. Ill go there. Thank you.
I ordered contacts 2 weeks ago and still not in. One would think a big company like Walmart would be able to supply quickly. On Black Friday the demand and supply will happen. I will not ever order again. The personnel cant even tell you where they are in the process. Aweful!
If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the worst place to ever go. Save yourself the headache.
The process was kind of slow, but the people were nice.
Dr. Kibble is always helpful friendly and informative. Staff could be better though.
Dr Kimmel is very informative and an overall nice person. Staff is patient as well and very helpful.
Worst service!!!!! only one person helping every person that comes thru that door if you going to pick up you have to wait till they are done with every person sitting down never ever coming back her for anything!!!!!
Horrible experience. Never again. Bad customer experience. If you need glasses go somewhere.
First of all there was a heavy woman tech there who was falling out of her blouse. The manager kept walking over to me when I was looking at frames, telling me they didnt fit my face. I hadnt asked for any advice. After the exam, I was sitting at a table discussing price and my husband noticed there was a pile of dried blood under my feet and a trail of blood through out the store. When he pointed it out to the tech, she didnt seem to care. Unfortunately, this is one of very few places that takes my insurance. Not happy at all.
Helped me out pretty quickly when i needed new nose pads.
I called to set up an appointment with the optometrist and they put me on hold. 8 minutes later I was tired of waiting and decided to call back. I told the lady that I had been on hold and decided to call back. She just said were really busy and that it would probably be another 5 minutes. So your telling me that I would have had to wait a minimum of 13 minutes just to schedule an appointment. Yeah, Ill just take my business somewhere else.
Do not use this place Scam, they will take your money for the eye test but will not give you the prescription unless you pay more money this way you MUST by from them and are unable to use less expensive online retailers.
What you lose in slow service you make up in price.
