Arrived at 7:28pm. The door and Google both say that this business closes at 8pm. It was already closed. Judging by the reviews this is a common occurrence and I wouldn’t be surprised if they shut down their doors permanently. You have to be open to make money to pay your bills. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I absolutely love this place. The customer service was on point and the store was clean, clutter free and very professionally decorated. They have almost all you need under one roof. Hair salon... and wig station!!

I never write reviews but I’m very irritated today by this situation... I’ve always came to this beauty supply and honestly the service wasn’t bad but today I come at 10:00 am and mind you I’m in a rush. I’ve been waiting for an hour and the store is still not open. It is exactly 11:00 as I am writing this. Don’t expect to get anything if your in a rush...

I have been to many places and never left a review. I’m fight myself writing this because I wanted to love this place so bad. I’ve given them chance after chance but I just can’t anymore. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I mean the register is right at the door, you walk in and they look right past you. They don’t even bother trying to make their guest comfortable. The prices are double what they are anywhere else but I honestly wouldn’t mind paying a little extra if they had better customer service. Stop price gouging when y’all have a whole lot of nothing in stock. Please go somewhere else. Exit 7b and Exit 6 have great beauty supply stores and the customer service is great.

This is so irritating!!!! It’s 6:32 and y’all are closed. The gates are locked, lights off everything. It clearly says on your door open from 9am to 8pm MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY! Today is MONDAY!!!

I normally don’t do reviews because I feel like it is very Karen-ish but as a African-American that lives in Alpharetta Georgia it is very hard to find a beauty supply stores that tailor to our needs.! I tried my best to support it with it being a black owned business but when I show up to the store at 7:40 to spend at least $100 and your establishment does not close until 8 o’clock and the owner Intentionally ignores when I pull up and also feel the need to get an attitude with me even though he said he saw me pull up and two other cars pulled up as well before 8 o’clock and then you get smart with us and roll your eyes and get in the car and leave. You will not be getting any more of my money I will not be sending anyone else your way. There is another black owned hair supply store on Holcomb Bridge Road and I will make sure they get my money and I will never send another individual your way.P.S change your hours if you don’t want anybody coming in your store after 7:30

Arrive at 4:05pm on a Saturday to find a sign taped to the door that says “Out to Lunch. Back in 45 mins”. I have no idea what time the sign went up and, therefore, no idea when they’ll return. Drove 10 mins for this store specifically.

Tried this beauty supply several times. I want to support black owned however my experiences have not been great. The prices are outrageous but I try to look pass it based on the area we live in. But they have poor customer service. I went in and asked if they had a crochet needle. I was advised they only had 2 left and I was asked if they would work. I said yes and bought the product. I definitely should have paid better attention to the needle but I didnt think there would be an issue with something so specific. Once I got to my car I realized they sold me a seam ripper! I went right back in to let them know I wasnt sold the right product. I was then told this is what is used for crocheting and that they asked me would it work. The fact that they asked me that question to begin with tells me a lot about the store and their questionable products. Needless to say I walked out without my money back and extremely upset. At the end of the day this is your business and you should take pride in what you sell to your customers. Very disappointed and I will never return to this store. I posted pictures of what they sold me and what should be a crochet needle.

-Stars for a pretty good selection in an area that does not truly cater to Black hair care (Alpharetta, GA). Rock on, monopoly!-Stars for Black ownership. ✊🏾-No stars for wild prices. (And I mean WILD).-No stars for a FREEZING store in winter. Regardless of my discomfort, certain products should be stored at certain temperatures, or else the integrity and effectiveness of said product is compromised (i.e. edge control). Gotta get that in check. I felt so bad for the young, shivering clerk haha.

I came to this store after calling twice! Wouldnt you know its 6:39pm, they close at 8p but THE ENTIRE STORE IS ALREADY CLOSED LIKE IT WAS NEVER OPENED!!! No note on the door like a PROFESSIONAL establishment would do. Nothing!!!! Funny, I spend a lot of money in beauty stores for various reasons. But THIS ONE WONT GET ONE DIME!!!! And Im not recommending friends either!!!! Ugh!

They literally never have anything, so Im not sure why its called Ultimate. And dont get me started on the prices, I only put up with it cause its really the only beauty supply for black people in the area. Other than that, I have to drive 25 min to Norcross to get braiding hair since they barely have some.

I called to see if they had a product and was told they had it just to drive up here and it be out of stock! I called who I’m now assuming was the owner and was completely attacked. It’s the horrible customer service for me, for something that was completely your fault. Don’t blame it on you being a BLACK owned business for why you get a negative review when your customer service falls short. Either you have good customer service or you don’t. I came into your business with the same expectations I have for any business. With all this in mind. I HAD FULL INTENTIONS OF PAYING $8 for something I could get at the Walmart literally across the street for $3. Sorry supporting your business wasn’t a good enough reason to treat me properly.

I try to keep giving this beauty supply store chances but it’s horrible. Every time I come it’s closed and except for 3 times. It’s right around the corner from my house but I literally drive 20 minutes to get to a better beauty supply store. Yes the facility is beautiful but the workers have very little knowledge. They barley have any products that I need and the ones I do need are overpriced. Just disappointing.

I love the set up of this place! Its so clean and organized. There had the beauty products on display and easy to find. The store associate was friendly and helped me find what I needed. This will be my go to beauty supply.

They never answer phone and the young people they have working have no knowledge of the products they sell and are quite rude... Not impressed at all.... If you are going to come to this area you really need to do better. Would give a half star if it allowed.

Beautiful facility however their prices are extremely high for the products sold. There is also limited selections which forces you to always pick substitute items. Dont waste your time because they are price gouging. So sad when you try to support black owned business but they raise the prices to high and force you to shop with the competition.

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. But, the prices are twice as much as any other Beauty Supply. I stopped in to get a container of gel and it was $2.99 or more. I get the same gel at any other Beauty Supply store for $1.49. $5 for synthetic braiding hair and 3 for $5 are any other store. But, its clean inside.

Plus many other different variety of merchandise which Im sure that meets the needs of other valued customers like myself. I was empress not only with the service That I received but also of how large the beauty store is. Im looking forward to visiting again and to experience and get my hair done in the new salon thats being built in. It was a pleasure to meet the CEO/Owner Mr Christian Lewis. I remember talking to him that day and looking at his beautiful pearly white teeths Lol as I commented to him about how white his teeth was. Amazing!!! I have visited this location several times out of convince. Seldom get a greeting. Personal conversation are more important. I am never asked if i need help. Im left to wonder the store on my own. I actually was brave enough to try the Salon they are associated with across the street. Big mistake. I could not get the simplest question answered. While that should have been a red flag. I ended up hating my hair. Just visited today 6/6/16. I stood what i thought was the line for two minutes while cashier finished concersation.After they took my money i had to ask for the items i paid. No thank you. No assistance while i shopped. I will drive to Exit 6 just so i can get GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Ultimate Beauty Supply has a very simple layout, which is great for shoppers who want to browse, or just get in and out. Prices are fair, but if you need speciality items like hair vitamins, I recommend shopping around for the price point youre looking for. Other than this, the store is very clean and has a visible sign from the street.

There is nothing ultimate about this place.Went due to I kept hearing the advertisements on the radio about how big they are and that they carry almost everything...A complete waste of my time.No major brands of virgin hair and little to no makeup.I thought Beauty Masters finally had some competition .... obviously not.

Its nice to have some close but they need some lessons in customer service. I almost put things down on my last two visits because no one was around to check me out. It was also very cold last visit and previous visit the was a foul smell.

I’m new to the area and was excited to hear about a black owned BSS. Our first visit yesterday was a pleasant one. I was able to find what I need (although overpriced) and the owners father was really nice and helpful. However, today was a different story. We arrived only to see a guy locking the doors around 1:15 pm! Based on the reviews this is common. This is why black business owners have a bad rep because “we” aren’t professional. Closing the doors during business hours is not acceptable. I wasted time and gas driving there only to not get in to buy what we needed. I won’t be back!

Nice size. Pretty. Need more inventory and brands we actually recognize. The organization is not. On. Point. In the section where the crochet hair is....yall are all over the place. Colors and types everywhere. Twice now yall couldve made 150 off my purchases and because you cant be consistent and have 6 packs of the same color hair yall missed it. Who runs out of 1b? Yal got to do better. Dont let that style outweigh your organization, stock, and lack of lighting. I wont be going back bc of all this. And please put melanin in that window. Both of the models look so light at first I skipped yal over bc I thought it was a only for white consumers. So frustrated rn. Two stars for the beauty of the store, reach for diversities, and availability.

Lets try to build this business up instead of trying to tear this place down. I was in the area and looked up a beauty supply store and this one popped up. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised and excited that the store seemed to be Black Owned. The staff greeted me when I walked in, but did not follow me around or constantly check on me. I was okay with this because Ive seen this happen in Asian owned stores and it wasnt because they wanted to be helpful. The store did not have a lot of variety as far as hair; however their hair care products were nice. The prices were very reasonable and when I asked for help, the staff was more than happy to help me. Now that Ive found this place I will be giving them my business in hopes to build them up to be a store that has a wide variety and meets the hair care needs of an underserved community.

First Impression. Not great. Store hours said 9am I waited until 10:15 and finally left and drove to Roswell.

Spent $300.00 on what was suppose to be virgin hair. Turns out it wasnt. Hair could not be bleached/colored. Tangled very easily. Owner is very rude and condescending. Will never shop their again. So much for trying to support a black owned business. They wont ever get a dime of my money again. And I spend a lot of money on hair and prouducts.

Great place to find hair anf beauty products. Carries alot of items for natural hair that big box stores like Walmart and Target do not carry. Very friendly customer service both over the phone and in person. Black owned and so worth the extra few dollars/cents you might pay over the other stores.

I googled a nearby beauty supply store near me, visited the store on 4/13/17 @11:44 am and the store was not opened during store hours. Very disappointing, guess Ill visit Sallys Beauty Supply instead.

Googled beauty supply near me. Get to the store and hours of operation say Mon thru Sat 9am to 8pm. I arrival at 935 am and the store is closed. Waited until 10am and still no one arrived to open the store. Disappointing. Not a good way to run a business.

The store is huge, but they don’t have anything good. Weird-unknown-brands and lots of cheap Chinese junk.

Went today at 2pm (well within the listed hours of operation on the front door), doors were locked. Another customer outside waiting in the car said she guessed they were at lunch.If this is the case, atleast put up a sign thay states when the establishment is ACTUALLY open for patrons or list hours when the staff is at lunch so customers can plan visits accordingly.Wasted my time going there.
