Just got my new glasses at the Altamonte Mall location! Megan was very helpful in helping me make sure I got the pair that fit best and would last my active lifestyle! They fit and look great. I cant wait to wear them out and about.
The Dr was very thorough and took the time to get my prescription right.Once I got to pick out my frames and buy some new glasses, the opticians were helpful with advice and suggestions. They also took the time to show me my options for lenses with pricing. Very good experience and I highly recommend this location.
I went to this mall to find some eye wear and worked with Megan. As I was checking out she asked me if I wanted the warranty including that if I get it I could turn the glasses in completely free. If I didn’t like them I could just turn them in at the end of the year. I thought that was amazing! $34.99 for a whole new pair of glasses?I went in to get some new ones and was told that the warranty only works for replacement LENSES, not the entire glasses. I’d have to pay $25 to replace the lens or full price to replace the entire glasses. Imagine my disappointment and trust in this business because of Megan. I was told I’d get another entire pair free! But that was not the case. They have lost a lot of money by falsely informing customers, they’ve definitely lost me. I will never go to any lens crafters again. Ask questions if it sounds too good to be true, because most likely it is.
I came inside and asked Matt if he could help me fix my glasses. In three minutes Matt returns with my glasses completely fixed. I’m so appreciative thank you so much! Talk about great people still around he’s one of them.
Dr. Libby Thompson was amazing and very thorough with the exam. Joshua was extremely helpful with picking out the right frames and lenses for my needs. The whole team there was welcoming and great at every step. I would definitely recommend going and I will definitely be back!

But I feel compelled to write this one because of Pam – a remarkable optician at Lenscrafters, Altamonte mall with decades of experience. Pam is a consummate, seasoned professional who helped me and my wife with some challenging issues with my eyeglasses, and she did so with patience, warmth, and a refreshing sense of humor. Be sure to ask for Pam. Shes the best!
Was at the Altamonte Mall location waiting while my hubby was getting an eye exam. I got my own glasses adjusted by the staff in the lenses section. They were very friendly and adjusted my glasses at mo cost. Definitely worth checking them out.

Waste of an hour just sitting in the lobby when scheduling an appointment a week ahead of time. Not sure what the point of an appointment is. Oh well, better places deserve your money and can see you quicker with no appointment.
My husband and I both had eye exams with Dr. Libby Thompson last week. We both agree that she was very thorough and provided a lot of great information concerning problems we had.Everyone working in the store that day was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we were not able to find any frames that suited us but I think that is more because we dont care much for current styles. We will be checking the online stone to view more options.Overall great experience.
The entire staff, from the front desk, to the pre testing, to Dr Rodriguez, to Pam who helped with the finances at the end were so wonderful and kind. Dr Rodriquez was extremely thorough and very informational.

We visited the Altamounte Springs Mall location during our vacation from Maryland to Orlando. Getting glasses in the middle of family vacation was the last thing I planned to do but the location was convenient and parking was plentiful. The associate who helped us - Megan - extremely patient and suggested various eyewear options for my 12-year daughter. I rarely write a bad review, but this wasn’t the first time this associate assisted my family and I. Goes to show we tried multiple times and just managed to get her every time. Today the same associate assisted my daughter and I and had a very disturbed attitude, as is we were bothering her. She continued to assist us and at a point I thought to just include her in our conversation (me trying again) and she immediately responded, “that’s a question for the doctor” I wasn’t asking a question and decided to walk out the store letting my daughter finish what she needed to do. The associates attitude comes across as dis genuine and overwhelmed. I don’t think I’ll do business with lens crafters again.

This location has the best selection nearby without having to deal with all the hassle of driving out to the Millenia Mall Lenscrafters. The service is hit or miss sometimes but Pam the optician was very knowledgeable and professional in helping me pick out my Persol glasses. This locations is not perfect but it fulfills my eyewear needs.

The staff went above and beyond. They medical office accommodated me after a cancellation on the same day. The lab tech stayed later just to make my lenses when he didn’t have to and I am so grateful. I think his name was Mike. My rescue puppy ate my glasses and I could not see. The retail staff was very kind and friendly and went above and beyond. Would recommend to anyone. I am so lucky I chose this location. You’ll be glad too

Dr. Rodriguez was awsome and explaining everything about the exam, but what the say about buy two pairs and get discounts, was like buying a car, they wanted $1400 for two pairs and that’s with discount.,even tho if I wanted one pair instead, they quoted me 700+ even tho one pair was a cheaper frame....the sale person didn’t have like the knowledge to work with us, until another sales person came and adjusted the price for $200 less.
Jessica was very helpful, being a first time buyer, we found out my son needed glasses, she helped us for current purchase, and gave advice fore future purchase. She also gave advice for maintaining our glasses.

Recently my wife was was there for an eye exam. Following the eye exam my wife said she told the assistant manager that she would be back to pick out frames for her prescription glasses. The assistant manager responded with i dont work for commission so you arent hurting my feelings. Very rude and disrespectful. Just loss a sale.
The test with Dr.Rodriguez at Lens Crafters in Altamonte Mall,Florida,was really good.She is very good explaining your condition.Jennifer,the costumer service tech up front who help to select the frames,was a very kind person.The problem was the wait to get the actual order of eyeglasses.Test was on March 8th,told me was supposed to be ready for March 15th.Then a delay,supposed to be ready by March 23th,then another delay to March 30th.I cancelled the order and didn’t even receive an apology from the guy in front desk.
I would say thanks to Jennifer for helping my kids and the good service I will if her 5 stars .

My girlfriend went here for glasses. I was with her to pick them up. They rushed her out as fast as they could w/o doing any kind of fitting. Just handed her the box. She had to go back, and they messed up the fitting. She went back and they were very rude. I know things are tense w/ the Covid restrictions, but this was pure laziness. You probably have options for eye wear, and you dont have to put up with terrible service. I strongly suggest going elsewhere.
Everyone was so nice and polite from the minute I walked in. I went to the Sanford mall location last year because its closer to me but I had been in a really bad car accident with my car being totalled and was in a lot of pain. I needed new glasses because they had been destroyed in the accident just 3 days before. The doctor at that location was nasty and rude. He rushed me thru the exam and got upset when I couldnt distinguish between the 1st and 2nd slide. I was scolded like a child. Lenscrafters Altamonte had been my go to for years before but my insurance had changed. When changing back I went to the one closest to me. I should have come here last year because this location is amazing. Dr. Thompson has the best bedside manner. I could hear her with another patient before she came in with me and she had the same demeanor with me. She is a very nice person and extremely professional. She also didnt make me feel like a number and rush me like the Sanford location. The assistant who checked my glasses before was very nice as well. I didnt catch her name but she made the beginning part easy when testing my eyes. Also, Matt helped with my actual glasses and my pair was guaranteed the same day. He fixed the side of my sunglasses as well. I wanted to give kudos because people are more likely to complain than give a thumbs up. You guys do it right and you have me for good. I will purposely pass the one closest to me to see you. Thanks again.
I was pleased at my lenses being in stock & could get them so fast versus the other places I shopped around 3 to 4 weeks to get.Fast safe service for Covid 19 also was reassuring for me.
I went to 3 different eyeglass stores before finding this gem. The first one refused to help me (even though my insurance was valid/accepted there), the second one waited until I had picked out my frames and then told me I couldnt have those, and the third store associate told me the glasses I picked out were not great. WOW. This store was exactly the opposite; friendly, knowledgeable staff who helped from the get-go, suggested nice brands and everything was beautifully laid out/easy to find, and best of all no pressure! They got me the glasses I wanted, within my budget, and were complimentary of my choice! A++. Thank you so much for making my holiday brighter!
Me and my family have been a patient of Dr Rodriguez for several years now and the service and staff are outstanding. Recently had to take my daughter in, who had a foreign object stuck in her eye and they were able to see us on very short notice and remove the object providing instant relief. Even when our vision insurance no longer recognized LensCrafters as a primary provider, we chose to remain here and pay the additional fees, for being out of network, because of the outstanding service and care we have received.

I purchased progressive lenses from the Altamonte Springs, FL store 12 months ago. One month ago, I took my glasses in because the anti-glare film was wearing off and I was having a hard to seeing through my lenses. Unfortunately, I had an incompetent sales person (male) tell my that they were scratches and Lenscrafters were not liable. Little did this clown of a sales person know that I am an engineer with a polymer background. I went to a local micro analytical lab to have my assessment confirmed and to get the analysis in writing. I just had my eyes checked by my Ophthamologist (1 year check-up), but this time I took my prescription to another local eyeglass company. Even they confirmed the issue with my old lenses to be the anti-glare film wearing off. I now have new progressive lenses install at 40% less than what Lenscrafters charged. I am know consider taking legal action against Lenscrafters Altamonte Springs, FL for not standing behind the workmanship of their lenses, and telling me that they are not liable. I warn all new potential customers to think twice about using Lenscrafters. You can do better elsewhere on workmanship; standing behind what they sell; more professional personnel; and lower prices. Lenscrafters Altamone Springs, FL is a joke, which you should of picked up on now given their 2.9 rating from 45+ customers. However, I am not through with them yet. Think twice and go elsewhere.
My dad bought glasses there just over a month ago. They were a bit uncomfortable so he went in today to have them adjusted. The super polite and helpful technician told him that they could not be adjusted. To my dads amazement she then offered him the option of switching them out for a brand new pair, in a different style. He even scored a small refund, since the replacements were somewhat less expensive.Amazing customer service!!!
Dr. Thompson and her staff are AMAZING. My problems started with MATT. I wanted 2 pair of glasses with the exact same lens in them both. Matt see more intrested in what I could afford then giving me what I wanted. My 1st trip back to pick up what I thought was both pair of glasses and only turned out to be one the glasses which were the secondary pair had scratches and them and Matt didnt even notice them I realized that when I got out to my car and had to bring them back. Needless to say that was another week and a 1/2 of waiting. On my 2nd trip back to pick up both pair of my glasses the secondary pair did not have the exact same lens as the 1st and the frame handles were bent and MATT seemed unconcerned And I had to continuously ask him to fix the handles on the frame so they werent crooked. Matt kept saying that they were the sale priced glasses and its basically a crapshoot because the lenses were different he didnt tell me that when I was purchasing them because I wanted the same exact lens in both glasses I even brought a frame with me and wanted new lenses put in that and he said that that would be an extravagant amount of money and it would be better to just buy a frame that was on sale and then the other guy I cannot even remember his name seemed unconcern that my backup pair wasnt as clear as my primary pair. MATT barely LOOKED me in the face And it seem like he was so uncomfortable helping me like he was straining to even talk to me. I spent over $800 on 2 pair of glasses and I have insurance MATT made me feel like I was some bum off the street. Right now I have the primary pair and they are so uncomfortable on my face because MATT NOT ONCE asked how they felt or had me look in that thing and do any adjustments to the glasses to make sure they were comfortable. I need to know if I can go to another lenscrafters because I refused to go back to that one. And I no longer want the secondary pair of glasses but I dont If I can get my money back because its been way past 30 days and thats just with the waiting alone to get the glasses. Doctor Thompson will always be my eye doctor but I will not use that lens crafters again.
They recommend scratch resistant protection on my glasses. Then lens developed this nasty scratch looking appearance and when took them back they wouldn’t fix it saying that I needed new glasses. That was after spending money on them for years. I took my glasses to 20/20 vision in Orange City and they not only fixed my glasses they mounted a new prescription lens on a frame I bought on eBay. Lens Crafter didn’t want to do this unless it was bought at their stores. I would give them a NO Star review if they had one.
The entire staff today (5/28) was absolutely amazing! They were all so nice and helpful both in the optical area and the glasses. Dr. Cynthia Rodriguez was very nice, answered all my questions and was full of information. Her techs were also helpful during photos and evaluations and able to answer my insurance questions. While I was there for about two hours, I had all the photos and exams done as well as dilation and was able to pick my glasses. The girls in the front of the house with the glasses helped me pick ones based on face shape and I appreciated that they didnt try and push a lot of extras on me. The reason I take off a star has nothing to do with the staff or experience, its mostly just glasses options. It was a lot of name brand which were crazy expensive and everything was trendy. Im young enough that I get the trends but I just wanted plain regular glasses with no gems or fancy stuff and those options were extremely limited. Thats just me though. I did have an appointment and showed up 20 mins early, they took me right away. So the wait was because I was a new patient.
After calling to check on my eyeglass order that was late due to a machine being down, I spoke to Stephanie the store manager who said “I think they’re here, let me go check and put my hands on them. She came back on the line and said they are here come when you can. So I decided to drive the hour drive again to pick up my order, only to find out that only ONE of the two pair I ordered were there. They said they could mail the other pair. Let’s hope they fit and i don’t have to drive back for adjustments. Overall really disappointed with the whole experience !
If I could give them zero stars I would. Scheduled on my day off 3 weeks ago as my glasses got scratched and they have a 1 hour lab so I arrived 2 hours early for my appointment explained the situation, picked out which frames I wanted. Waited the 2 hours and was seen. Once I came out they came up with the story they could not make them and would have to order them. Waited a week to get them. I cannot see properly, tried for over a week and a half. Called them to ask what to do and was told to come in and let them make sure they were made right. Yep they were right just needed adjustment.. HUMMMM I still cant see.... went back and they offered 12:00 noon or 2 pm as the only options for a recheck of a prescription. as I get every other Wednesday off I get to not be able to see for two more weeks. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE you mess up my exam and I have to either miss work or wait as you refuse to see me on the weekend, yet they took a walk in exam while I was there for a full exam. I need mine adjusted so I can see. Thank you for doing nothing to try and help me. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!
I went to pick frames for my son and I dealt with Josh assistant manager at Altamonte Mall Lenscrafters, and he pulled my insurance information and told me that his claim is denied since he just got his glasses. So I told him that he got his glasses more than a year ago but that was not why Im upset about because it can be a mistake. But after he said how would we know that you did not get him another glasses somewhere else? What kind of customer service is that?

Horrible, horrible, horrible. If I could give 0 stars I would. They lack communication. You have to wait 1 hour than another hour to discuss information with doctor. They will tack on additional fees not covered for a basic eye exam so be careful. They do not give people an expectation upon or prior to visit from wait time to required services that is outside of ones insurance plan. They refused services which could be considered discrimination! Will never step a foot in there again!
Pricey but they make good stuff. After being ripped off by an outlet optical I went here and don’t regret paying a reasonable rate for actual quality work.

The worst Dr. to encounterI was here with my father today who was getting his eyes checked and as a nurse, I would have to say her rushed demeanor was very unprofessional. She speaks so quick that it is hard for my father(even me) who is an elder to comprehend what she even said in the first place. She was sighing as to the length of time she had to experience during his eye exam and said, theres a line out there. With all due respect, I understand you went to medical school and spent years to obtain your license but it by NO MEANS give you the right to rush anything, especially your patients because that is how mistakes are made and comfortability is lost. Poor service and very poor commitment to her practice. - I do not refer anyone to Dr. Libby Thompson.
Deceitful practices. They will do additional testing thats NOT covered by your insurance without telling you and expect you to pay four times as much at the end. Good luck getting out of here without getting ripped off.
Prescription was input into system wrong glasses showed up wrong had to send off again! When you pay over 400 bucks for glasses they should do better! Being able to see is a big deal.
I had a fantastic experience here. I was a walk in appointment for an eye exam. Everyone was very courteous and professional. After the eye exam the employee, Emily, set me up with glasses. She was very nice and helpful.
God awful experience. Took over 2 months, 6 trips to the store, and umpteen phone calls for my glasses to finally come in. Employees were respectful but the store does not function well. Ive never been so furious in my life over a buying experience.

BLINDCRAFTERS! Horrible experience! First, I would like to apologize to VISIONWORKS for taking them for granted! After the exam, I had the glasses made the same day. I returned a week later. Turns out the prescription was not balanced. I literally felt my left eye being pulled when I wore the glasses. Got it fixed and added the blue light filter. Now, the prescription is only focused at the center of the lens, vision is distorted at any other angle! Clerks blamed it on “digital surfacing”.2nd visit, the manager puts on a sweet granny voice when I wanted to discuss my options, but when there were no alternatives and I wanted a refund she turned into a witch with a very high-pitched voice! I paid by debit and of course the machine would not process the return to my card, so they tried to mail me a refund check! The optician (Opal) sat on the phone with customer care for an hour trying to help, which was nice. I did not mail my payment, I did not want to be mailed a refund! I brought up the idea of trying another store and the “manager” said good, try another store! Cancel whatever it is that you were doing so that she can go to another location! I was able to get my refund processed at a full retail location by professionals AND the clerk said the digital surfacing issue was BS! Gabrielle was very RUDE and very passive aggressive with me AND Opal and I won’t return! Opal, you should quit, you deserve a better manager! Two stars, one for Opal and one for the retail location!
Everyone is friendly BUT they have no idea how to run an efficient office. If you value you time and money dont go to LensCrafters. The doctors divide up the office. So, if you see one doctor and she is booked you cant see the other one. It takes weeks and weeks to get through the process... My appointment was in January just now getting final script for contacts. Well, if they call me back that is......
I have visited this location two times because I loved the selection of frames but the employees are by far the rudest people I have ever spoken with. My salesperson was very disrespectful and provided the worst customer service. When I had asked if she could clean the glasses, (they were dirty, scratched, and thrown in a drawer) she responded sarcastically If you would just wait a minute, Ill clean the glass just to your satisfaction.I would never recommend anyone to visit this location, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Absolutely terrible. I was made to wait for about 30 minutes along with the other patients/customers. Then finally I was rushed around the store and chose a pair of glasses. When I went to pick up my glasses I asked for them to be adjusted and I again had to wait 10 minutes to see a employee. She was very rude when we sat down. I have since been back 12 TIMES GOING ON A THIRTEENTH TIME to get my glasses finally adjusted correctly. The previous adjustments have made the top of my ears crack, have rubs on the sides of my head and my ears, and I have had a headache the past four months from dealing with this awful establishment.

If I could leave no stars, I would. Ive worn glasses for close to 30 years and contacts for 20 and Ive never had such a terrible experience. Went twice, waited almost an hour to be seen the first time and then the doctor - who has the worst bedside manner ever - dilated my eyes before he had me try my contacts. Needless to say, I couldnt tell whether they were correct or not. No one at the office seemed concerned with the fact that I couldnt verify if my prescription was fine and never even mentioned a follow up before I left.The front end staff is also very either incompetent or overworked - not sure.I ended up having to go back because my prescription was - you guessed it - incorrect. Waited just as long the second time - would like to note that both times there was only one person ahead of me, but they schedule exams in 20 minute increments when their exams take close to an hour. The doctor the second time was much nicer, however they didnt have both my prescriptions in stock (my eyes are not the same unfortunately) and again I left with one contact that I hadnt tried and with no hint of a follow up.Im still having trouble seeing (big surprise!) so I tried to call today to schedule another follw up. The girl who answered said she was with another client and would call me in a few minutes. This was around 1:30pm. By 4:15, I still hadnt heard back, so I called back again. No apologies or anything, and also no appointments available for over two weeks! Now I have to go to another optometrist and pay out of pocket to be able to see. This place is a joke, as well as overpriced and full of incompetence. Take your eye health, money, and time elsewhere.

Scam! My employers insurance pays for majority of the exam. Dr. Thompsons and her associate charge extra fees for for an extra exam thats typically optional at other optometrist. Was told it cost 87 dollars, but for me, 42...what?My sister called and asked about setting up an exam and this exam was not included if she were paying Out of pocket. Smh. Customer service abosulety horrible from elder Hispanic receptionist. Drove clear across town because of the late hour available. And still had to wait at least an hour to be seen. Save your time from these crooks. Buyer beware!

They were working my order and then asked me to wait while they took on another customer after I had been there for hours with an appointment. This place is bad.
