Went in for oil change. Thats all they did. Sincere, positive, professional. Did not try to upsell me synthetic oil, tire rotation, or air filters like jiffy Lube always does. Will always becoming back for maintenance and any repairs. A lot more trustworthy than the dealership. You guys got a lifelong customer.

Somewhat new to Anacortes (1 year) and looking for a local Auto Facility to service my Chevy HD Pickup, I walked into Zap Automotive yesterday to inquir about Pricing and Scheduling to have all Fluids -Gaskets - Filters changed.Sarah greeted me with a Welcoming friendly How can i help you. She was knowledgable and able to provided me the information i requested. I asked Sara for a buisness card to check my calendar and call back to set appointment.I recognized the Owners name, John Willoughby, and sure enough same John i had worked with 20 + years ago. I remember John always had a great reputation for Custome Service and was well liked by his peers.Changing all the fuids and filters on a 4WD truck is a major service and was completed in a timely fashon. I was having an exceptionally bad day... for a variety of reasons too numerous to mention. I was stuck in Anacortes for almost 2 days due to what I was told by someone else to be a faulty sensor issue (no offense to Anacortes. It’s a nice town). Turns out it was a bad battery connection. The guy at Zap (I won’t mention his name to protect the innocent), fixed my problem in about 5 minutes, and I was on my way. I couldn’t have been more pleased... by basic common decency, mechanical knowledge and efficiency. I can’t recommend Zap Auto more highly.

Got an oil change today. These guys are the best!! Been coming here for years. I was afraid the new owner would change all the things I love about this place but he has not! They still let you come without an appointment, get you in and out quickly (usually about 20 minutes all said and done), check everything over, fill fluids, and wash and vacuum your car, for a very reasonable price! Now, because of covid they arent vacuuming the car, but they offer to let you sit inside the car the whole time while they service it (the waiting room is closed), which adds I mentioned is not that long, so its perfect! They did a great job on the wash too while we say inside. They told us our brakes are going to be needing to be fixed real soon, but no pressure at all. Great guys!!

They are amazing. Probably the best customer service Ive had from any auto place. Plus, they are always honest which I appreciate since I feel like past places Ive gone to will tell me I need to replace 10 things every time I went in. This last week I got my oil changed and then at the end of the day on a Friday, my car battery started acting up so they squeezed me in at the end of the day. I appreciate the guys there and highly recommend.

I got the same high quality service as when Joey was there, but it just doesnt feel the same without Joey there. I thought zap pro lube was all about oil changes. Was I ever wrong. Theyre a full service auto mechanic shop that is not only reasonable but their work is excellent. I recently had extensive work done on my truck and couldnt be happier. Everything was explained and it was obvious they cared. They absolutely have my business from here on out!

Just got back from Zap Pro Lube! They were fabulous. They now have a mechanic at the shop and I was able to get belts changed and oil changed within 35 minutes! I had two toddlers with me and I couldnt have asked for a quicker or better experience! It was even more nice to get in the SUV and see the car vacuumed out and the outside washed.

Every time I stop in Joey and the rest of the boys treat me like family. When you find a shop that is fair and places more value on integrity rather than profit, you tend to go back again and again. I had an oil change done here last week. Joey told me about a coolant leak. I told Joey about a problem I was having with my parking brake. I made an appointment to get things fixed.Today they fixed the coolant leak, the parking brake and put new rear shocks on my truck. My husband and I were travelling on vacation in WA, we are from Canada. Our car started making a strange rattling noise, which we determined was from a clamp that vibrated loose. We couldnt tell where the clamp was from, and if some other damage was done, and were quite worried that we would have to get a possibly expensive repair to be able to continue on our vacation.We explained our concerns to Joey Goss, the owner, and he immediately got our car on the hoist to take a look. He said the clamp held a heat shield that is over the exhaust, and that it was rusted through. He cut it off with his torch, explaining that it would not affect the operation of our car. He did this quickly. He could see we were concerned what this would mean for the rest of our trip, so he took the time to explain it in more detail, even though we could see he was quite busy. He also declined to take any payment for the repair, just wished us well and told us not to worry and to enjoy our vacation.As we were from out of the country, he knew his assistance would not result in us being customers in the future - he did it out of the kindness of his heart and to help out strangers. This shows a lot of integrity and if this is how he runs his business, I would highly recommend him to anyone in the Anacortes area. Having someone fair and trustworthy work on your car is golden.Thanks Joey!

Asked other local shops for quote to install but they needed a few days notice but quoted 1 hr laborZap said they could do it now for $240 labor figuring 2 hrs labor but no guaranteeBeing time constrained we did it.It took one hour( which was other shops estimated) and it was doneWas shocked to get a bill for 260Asked Manager what shop rate was and he said $120 per hourI said why were we charged $280?The answer was they go by estimate not actual time plus taxGood news is we got it fixed and it’s appears to be done properly( emergency for us )Bad news we won’t go back there unfortunately and can’t recommend this place unless you’re desperate.

New ownership, seems to be very interested in keeping the established customers, which is much appreciated. I have been a longtime user of their services.

These guys are awsome. They are honest hard working and super nice. Took my jeep here after driving it with the emergency brake on for 300 miles. They took it up in the rack checked it out. Took the wheels off and turns out no parts for at least a week. Put it back together and did not charge for the time and labour of checking it out. My breaks arent done but anywhere else would have charged me just to look at it. Wish I could have done the work here.

Joey is an amazing guy. He went above and beyond to help me in need. I through a belt this morning to my alternator. Ac and water pump. I was able to make it to oreillys to get a belt but I wasnt able to get the tentionor loss to put the new belt on. I was out of resources and not from the area. I went across the street to zap and was met by Joey. I told him the situation and he gladly came across the street and help me get the belt on free of charge. If it hadnt been for this kind hearted man i would still be stuck. Thank you so much Joey

Excellent service every time. Ive been in Anacortes for two years now and have had my routine car maintenence done by Zap most of the time. Ive had to go to other places a couple times because Im home after they close due to my work schedule, and its just not the same. I wish they were open till 6 on the weekdays.They not only change your oil and check the fluids, but also vacuum and wash your car.Their prices are competitive and i trust them. No regrets when i come to Zap, only regrets when i go elsewhere.
