Dr. Eberle is one of the best doctors I’ve ever visited. She had a full day yesterday but made time for me because I had an urgent situation with my eye that needed to be addressed. She was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and she took her time to listen to my concerns and help me. Her staff are also incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this doctor/office!

I never write negative google reviews. But I am extremely unhappy with the outcome. End of April, I ordered some glasses and contacts. They said 7-10 business days generally unless they’re back ordered. 3 weeks go by (mind you they hadn’t reached out to me at all) and I call in. They said my glasses were there and I asked about my contacts. The lady on the phone said she didn’t see anything about contacts being ordered. They never placed the order. 2 weeks go by, (they still hadn’t reached out) and only my left eye came in. The failed to tell me, after calling multiple times, that the right eye was back ordered. Apparently I payed almost $400 just for my glasses and eye exam WITH insurance. My contacts finally come in, and I’m charged another $280. I’ve worn glasses/contacts for all my life, and never have I spent $680 for both with my insurance coverage. Also has never taken almost 2 months to come in without any follow up, unless I called in and asked. I had different people telling me different things, it was all over the place. At first I only owed $60, and somehow turned into $280. Also, before I left after my exam, I made sure and verified that everything was paid for that I just needed to pick my contacts up when they were in. Failed to mention they don’t charge you til you pick them up. Would’ve been nice to know when I asked. I will NOT be returning to this location.

Came here as my vision was blurry and met with Dr. Eberle. Dr Eberle is a professional doctor who makes sure youre aware of whats going on during checkups and explains things when asked. Dr. Eberle is a great doctor for sure.As for the support staff, by far the worst experience Ive had. I initially went in to get a new prescription. The staff member that checked me in and ran me through the tests took a picture of my eyes, to which she charged me $30 for cause it wasnt covered by insurance. Keep in mind, I never was asked or informed that I would be charged for this.I go through the testing and am glad to have a prescription in hand. Weeks pass by. I called their office 3 times. The first time, I was told they had my frames and are waiting on the lenses. Cool.Second time, im told they have NOTHING and that my order was on backorder. Okay cool, how much longer? They said a week and it would be ready in one week.Week passes, and I call again. Im told they dont have my order and that its still processing and to check in a week. I expressed to the woman on the phone that Ive been told a couple different things. She didnt seem to really care and kept saying she told me what is going on.To this day, still no glasses.I feel cheated out of my money and will never return here. I strongly do not recommend going here.

I went here in October 2020 and they charged me a copay on accident (totally fine, everyone makes mistakes) and they charged me for a photo the doctor took that my insurance didnt cover.I spent the next six months calling and emailing trying to get a refund on the copay they accidentally charged me and trying to get an explanation of the photo. My insurance covers 100% of an exam, so clearly the photo was not part of a normal exam. My messages and emails were not returned. I went into the office to see if I could get my refund and was brushed off. I was charged $60 for an appointment that should have been covered by my insurance. It took 6 months to get my copay refunded and I have given up on getting an explanation of the photo. I would have liked the opportunity to decline the extra expense. After all, its a pandemic, and no one has extra money to throw around.The doctor seems very nice and if not for the radio silence regarding the unforseen expenses, I would certainly recommend them. But unfortunately, being ignored and overcharged is a big deal to me.I wish Dr Eberly all the best and hope her and her staff stay safe.

I first visited Eberle Eyecare roughly two years ago. The staff was openly gossiping and trash talking another employee in the main reception area without any hesitation of customers being present. This was very off putting for me. However, I did have a great visit with Dr. Eberle. She spent a lot of time addressing my concerns and I felt like she really cared about me as a patient. I overlooked the lack of professionalism from her staff thinking that it was a just a fluke.I recently visited again. This time Dr. Eberle was running behind. Her staff was much more mature and professional. I felt like my appointment with Dr. Eberle was very rushed and she was not nearly as caring this time. When I left I realized that I forgot to give my secondary insurance info so I called right away and gave the information. I never heard anything back and I’ve had to continue to follow up. I’ve heard numerous excuses. I’ve had to give my insurance information three times now. I’ve gotten different information (conflicting information in some instances) each time I’ve called. Today the billing person was short and told me they’d get back to me when they had an answer, but couldn’t tell me when that would be. I‘ve left messages for Dr. Eberle to call me to discuss my frustrations, but that has not happened. I feel like I’m getting the run around. I cannot in good conscience recommend Eberle Eyecare to others based on my experiences nor do I feel compelled to be a repeat customer.

Been going here for a long time (years) yesterday was the last time I will ever go again. had a scheduled appointment for 3 and showed up at 2:45, Doctor Eberly did not see me until 3:40 or so and all she did was rush through the appointment very unprofessional!! I still dont know why I got charged so much I am double insured? Sadly all she wants to do is make money, this has ben building up for a long time as they cant seem to even get my glasses correct when I order a pair, FYI do not order glasses from them they will screw it up.I have some health issues that require a very extensive yearly eye exam and I am not getting it with Dr. Eberle all she wants to do is make money at the expense of my care. forgot to mention her office is supposed to send the results of my exam to my medical care taker and for what ever reason it doesnt happen.

Originally a great experience when I first went. Very helpful and nice place. I have since needed my prescription to purchase contacts online and have inquired for several weeks about it. I finally was able to talk to someone and they said they would put together some suggestions based on my old lenses for ones to check out. That was a week ago. Perhaps when I mentioned I was not getting them from them I became less important.One eye blind and still nothing. Poor follow up service and thats a shame. Its the simple details that make an experience and this was not a good one this time.

These people do not know how to run a business, let alone an eye care facility. They charged and up-charged, failed to add insurance coverage until we spoke up and the desk-clerk said “oh whoops, I’m sorry,” and then still charged for items we didn’t agree upon. After thinking we settled everything at the office, we get a call months later about “outstanding balances.” After fighting that one, we get a collection letter from the agency. The amount was so little, but the principle was worth fighting for. DO NOT USE THIS OPTOMETRIST.

I tried to make an appointment for next month but found out they are taking patients now but only the Doctor herself was in the office. When trying to find out where her staff was, I couldnt get a straight answer. After digging I found out her whole staff is gone due to being tested for COVID-19. Will not be keeping my appointment. How does the Doctor and owner of the practice feel like it is safe to see patients when her staff isnt even there? Shouldnt the Doctor be tested as well? This isnt right!!!!

Can’t comment on the customer service level for people who get glasses or eye exams, but just thought I’d share that they close from 12:30 to 1:30 every day for lunch. This is not posted online or anywhere other than when they hang a sign on the door saying they are closed for lunch. So, a potential customer would have no way of knowing this until they drive all the way across town.... which I did, only to then have to wait half an hour just to drop off a check. So, these guys might be great, but they should update their website and google hours to be more respectful of the time of others. Oh, I should mention that if you then call them, their recorded voicemail message you get does serve to state that they are closed at this time, but most people don’t call before going to a business during their listed business.And if I notice that this gets addressed I’ll gladly amend my review! 🙂

Dr. Eberle is one of the best Optometrists Ive ever worked with. Ive worn glasses my whole life and worked with a wide variety of eye clinics and doctors, but none of them measure up to the professionalism, care and knowledge of Dr. Eberle. Her south Anchorage office is conveniently located near OMalley and Old Seward which makes appointments easy to get to. Her staff is friendly, educated and polite. Ive never had an insurance or billing issue, and once you walk in the door their client care processes are smooth and fast. Dr. Eberle is a joy to work with. Her positive attitude, genuine interest in her clients and excellent eye care knowledge make her a rare find in Anchorage optometry. I cant recommend her or her clinic highly enough.

I love Dr. Eberle - she is very professional, explains everything thoroughly, and works with you to understand what is most important to you about your vision correction. As a 50+ person, Ive got aging, tricky eyes but must be able to see my phone and my food, work on a computer at the office, and be able to see to drive, while looking glamorous of course. Dr. Eberle made it happen.

I saw Dr. Eberle a few years ago, before she left the Anchorage area. I was so happy when I discovered she was back and had her own business! Dr. Eberle is a fantastic optician! She is current in her knowledge of eye health, her equipment and up-to-date on the latest optical supplies such glasses and contacts. I also appreciate the fact that she is able to explain my exam and eye health to me in a way that I understand. I can highly recommend Dr. Eberle to anyone who is looking for a great optrician!

Dr. Eberle was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. She was friendly and made me feel comfortable. I especially liked the imagery she took (so I did not have to dilate my eyes) and how she showed and explained the results to me.

This office is very professional with warm welcomes when you step in the door. I arrived early and was taken back within minutes! Dr. Eberle is a very sweet and helpful doctor who goes above and beyond to help you understand your diagnosis. Dr. Eberles staff is equally as sweet and helpful when it came time to pick out glasses which they have an amazing selection of. Overall, this is an excellent family doctor and I would recommend her to all!Thanks again!!

Dr Eberle is great. Her office staff is extremely poor. It took 5 visits to get frames adjusted properly then another when the arm fell off. Trying to get my prescription so I could order a pair of glasses elsewhere was an exercise in frustration. First they said they faxed it twice, even though their own fax report said an image would appear on the sheet and it did not. So I asked them to email it to me. After repeating the email address 5 times and the email address being right on the form I was asking them to fill out, they sent it to the wrong email address. When my friend went there to pick up the form, they did not have the pd on it. said they only put that on there if we had ordered glasses through them. Did you not have to open the file to get the other information???????????Will not ever go there again.

Dr. Eberle is knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Every year for my annual eye exam, it seems like the has the latest developments in eye health and eyeware. I am a contact wearer with chronic dry eyes. Each year it seems like she has a new product or new information that improves my experience wearing contacts. She always takes the time to explain things in detail. The office is clean and the staff is always friendly.

I initially choose Dr. Eberle because she carried the frames that I wanted; but from the moment I walked it the door it was an enjoyable experience. We were early, missed the confirmation email but we were still taken back and helped. She found something on my eye exam that hadnt been there previously so she took the time to help explain and calm worries. Then she came out to the front and explained how the frame had actually changed since my frame. She finished out my paperwork for my glasses so the other person could get started on the next patient. Very clean, very nice, very personable and NOT rushed eye doctor. Wonderful experience from top to bottom.

Dr. Eberle was very professional during my daughters exam and follow up appointment. She took time to answer my questions and helped my daughter feel competent and confident about wearing contact lenses. Brittany was so friendly and did a great job following up with my insurance company. Shanelle was a superstar as she patiently worked with my daughter as she learned how to put her contact lenses in. The optometrist I had seen prior to Dr. Eberle was uncomfortable changing my prescription because he had some concerns about weakening my eyes. I left his office feeling disappointed and still unable to see to work and do the things that I love to do. Meeting Dr. Eberle was refreshing. She asked questions, explained options, and introduced me to multifocal contact lenses. They are a perfect match for me. She is wonderful, has the best sense of humor, and she is so kind. What can I say, our experience with the entire Eberle family is always great! Andrea is the one who broke out of the mold by not becoming a dentist and instead, launched into the business of eye care, a business that she is very passionate about. She is extremely thorough, appears to have the latest in technology for eye examinations and explains everything in appropriate detail. I dont know of another family in the healthcare arena that I would feel as comfortable going to as the Eberles, whatever the specialty. In this case, it is Andrea and we are glad to welcome her into the professional community.

I cant speak very much for the doctor cause I never got to see her.This rating is based on the front desk, who had scheduled me for an appointment. When I arrived at the clinic the front desk tells me that the doctor is gone for a week on vacation. They had my name and appointment on the calendar and all the girl could say was Hmm, yeah I dont know why youre there. Sorry about that.I never got a call that the doctor was out and that I needed to reschedule. They rescheduled me for another day that I cancelled and ended up going to another eye doctor.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: DO NOT GO TO EBERLE EYECARE. THIS BUSINESS EXISTS TO SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY. Let me explain. I made an appointment ahead of time to solely have an eye exam with no purchase of glasses or contacts. I asked the doctor if I could come in just for the eye exam to get my prescription, and she said yes. After I arrived for my appointment and filled out my paperwork, I was taken back for the exam. After the employee ran the tests, he said I was required to get my eyes diluted and if I did not want to do that (it was 2pm on a weekday), I had to pay an additional 40 bucks to have an alternative procedure. So I was locked into paying that...and then Dr. Eberle took me back to finalize my prescription. She asked if I wanted to get contacts even though the paperwork said I did not. I stated no, that I just wanted the prescription. During the vision test, she was saying that I have a slight stigmatism? and that I needed special contacts? I said thank you I am not interested. She then made me try on contacts that I said were uncomfortable and asked me to leave them in and schedule a followup. When I went to the front desk, my insurance covered my eye exam while I covered the extra 40 bucks. I said I did not want to receive a followup appt and left. Weeks later I received multiple calls where the receptionist stated I owed almost $100. I spoke through it multiple times with her to the point that she stopped calling me. Months after the appointment, I got a random call from Dr. Eberle saying there is a remaining balance of $35? and she wanted to take my card number over the phone? I explained my history to her, and she still determined to send me an invoice and have me call her to pay over the phone...DO NOT GO TO EBERLE. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY.

Some of their receptionists are nice and some not so much. I had missed my first appointment due to my wallet was left at home and that was completely my fault and I take the fall for that. Than I rescheduled for Friday and my boyfriend and I were in the car together and heard the lady say 5 and not 9 am. I would never make a 9 am appointment due to having a baby and its very very very hard to make morning appointments cause I am trying to get as much sleep as possible. So I said it was miss communication appoitmentssnf I said I will call back and figure out when to reschedule and the receptionist interrupted before I even finished and said Oknow have a good day and hung up. Sooooo I dont think that was appropriate . But I will say they sounded nice and they sounded like a great place I just didnt get to see that cause the receptionist hanging up on me and interrupting ruined it for me.
