Review is based on a tattoo received by Miya Bailey…….Just wow! The entire experience was super dope. Miya’s staff are so cohesive that you wouldn’t be able to tell they are new employees. The tattoo shop (Peters Street Station) has a lounge at the bottom for jam sessions, etc. in addition there’s an art gallery passing through and heading up to the tattoo shop. The establishment was clean. The parking is not the greatest but I did have one of the gentleman move my car right in front the tattoo shop which was a plus. Everyone makes you feel at home and the environment is very comfortable. Thanks so much! Customer service was on point.

This shop has such a good vibe. Everyone was friendly. My artist was Goldie and she was a dream to work with. Kind, communicative, and patient. She did an amazing job on the design we put together. Would definitely visit the shop again and Goldie is my Atlanta tattoo artist for sure.

I called ahead of time to make sure they were available to do walk ins on a Sunday they told me they were. When I walked in we talked to the guy at the front he had great service and gave a valid estimate and was kind and very chill. I had Max as my artist and he did a great job, very clean lines and neat font. And the price was amazing for what I got. And wait time wasn’t bad at all. Would recommend to anyone.

I arrived close to closing on a Saturday night. Despite my friend having a very difficult time parking, Amani and Duce still took us on as clients that night. I personally had a rough experience and got dizzy, but Amani was very gentle and kind despite it making the appointment last longer. She had a wonderfully steady hand, and my friends tattoo with Duce also turned out fantastic. I was a harder client for them, especially since I made it go late, but everyone was very kind. I would definitely recommend this place!

I visit City of Ink and I didnt understand the new wrap that is put on the tatoo, so I was a little disturb when I woke up, its was miscommunication between me and the artist Rosery.. So I went back today to what was going with my tatoo.. So me, artist, owner/manager and another good artist had a conversation.. The results waa miscommunication and the new wrap that is place on your tatoo after its finish, and it look crazy the next day.. The artist educated me on how to take care of it, I just freak out when I woke up the next morning on June 3, 2021.. Over all the matter was resolved and I will see the outcome of my tatoo in 24 hours.. I give this business a 4 star .

Great experience. It took 5 min to change out my nose ring.

Got a tattoo today with 5 of my cousins. The woman that did 3 of ous, MJ, did sub par work and didnt wrap the tattoos right. The plastic wrap was coming off minutes after she wrapped the tattoo. She also didnt clean her station in between tattoos. Very unsanitary esp during covid. I think she may have been new. Avoid her at all cost. The guy who did the other half of us, Chris, was good. He just didnt follow the original design we gave and wouldnt give us color like we asked. Overall the cost was good and the customer service is A1, just avoid the least qualified tattoo artist like MJ.

Worst customer service ever. Went in for scheduled consultation but no one seemed to have any idea who I was. They didn’t even ask what I wanted, their only response was maybe you spoke with someone from another shop. I was extremely excited about this experience, being that I a had emailed and spoke with someone for almost 30 about the process. I hope they work in greeting. They acted like everyone was on lunch break an I was rudely interrupting their meal.... very disappointed.

Max did 2 walk in tattoos for me and a friend. He was super easy to work with and banged out a very clean piece with crisp line work.

Moot did my first tattoo ever in my life yall I was so nervous buy he is so talented and skilled I went in for for one and left with two and my girlfriend ended up getting one of his designs we enjoyed our time and im so glad that I chose them to be my #1 tattoo artist we drove a 1hr and 30 min and it was so worth it, thanks kd for the awesome service and really chill and calm atmosphere you guys bring to your shop you guys have clients for life, God bless

Its been a few years since Ive gotten my tattoo here, but since it popped up as a place Ive been and was asked to rate, so sure!I received a tattoo from Miya Bailey. Hes one of the owners of COI (and that most of that block now). Hes pretty accessible, so I tried to talk about what I wanted him to do and he denied me. Said wed talk about it when the time comes. That was pretty weird to me, but since I was paying a decent penny, I figured maybe it was normal to him.Appointment day came. We talked a bit about what I had in mind, we did what theyre known for doing, he drew the tattoo on me and asked if I liked it. It was fuxking perfect!! I dont know what kind of tattoo gun he used, but it wasnt as loud and eased my nerves a little. He was gentle, not creepy, and just a really cool person.Hands down, the best tattoo experience Ive ever had.If not him, everyone there is really good and creative. You should definitely stop by.

This review is for BrittanyThis was my first tongue piercing so I was low key shook she didnt feed into my nervous energy which actually put me at ease. She was patient she answered my questions. And she shared a little about herself which made it feel personal and not like it was just a gig for her. I got my tongue and my nose done at the same time. And surprisingly it wasnt bad at all. I was able to speak and eat I dont know if it was unique to me or the way she pierced me but I had not experience what I read recovery was like. I cant wait to go back.The shopVery clean incredibly professional I believe the guy at the desk name was Chris. He was cool answered all my questions. Dope art on the walls. I had an awesome piercing experience with Honey Pierre. Beautiful person inside and out. Super chill and supportive. I came in with one piercing plan (helix, daith, nostril). I wish I would’ve known that before the artist started working on my daughter (her artist wasn’t the problem it was his co workers). My experience was really great! I had an old tattoo that needed covering up. Originally I was going to go somewhere else but was told I had to get something “dark” to cover the tattoo.Of course that didn’t sit well with me. After asking around I found out about City of Ink. After a consultation I was pleased to learn that I could get a cover tattoo with vivid colors. Tuki was my artist and he did wonderful work. He went over and beyond what I expected. Everyone was very friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this business!

My tattoo artist was Kandace and I just have to say that she did not disappoint. She is talented, imaginative, sharp and creative. I got a custom henna inspired lotus flower on my inner forearm, and she worked with me so that my vision could become a reality. The tattoo came out better then expected, and I left with a smile on my face and an extension of myself forever beautifully embellished on my body. This was my first tattoo, and Im glad I picked the right tattoo artist to get the job done. Kandace knows how to make an all black tattoo dance like its live in color! Thanks for such a great experience.

I love this place. They try to match what you with the artist that can do the best job for what youre looking for. I had to cancel my appointment twice due to emergencies and they still made me feel like i was welcome and very polite.

Went to surprise my other half with a tattoo for her birthday and ended up getting one myself. There was only one artist available at the time, so they offered to call Tookie to see if he was on his way in. He arrived a few minutes later, greeted me, asked me a few questions to get my ideas, and started creating. A few hours later my forearm piece was complete and I LOVE IT!! My spontaneity landed me in the seat of one of the best in the game and I will be back to add on to it. Overall great experience from the walk in to the check out.

I had a 1 by 1 inch ankle tattoo done at City Ink a little more than a year ago. The tattoo I got was partially faded within 3 days.The wait time was a little bit on the longer side (around 3pm) but the staff was welcoming. The tattoo took about 45 minutes - 1 hour. Not sure if the employee was trying to rush or if he wasnt putting enough pressure. No bits of blood came out & I thought it was fine. I returned back home to NJ the day after and followed correct washing procedures, but within 3 days, the tattoo was already faded. I had to get it completely retouched at a NJ tattoo shop a few days after.

I had an appointment with ricky this evening. I walked in totally clueless as to what I wanted but really needed to cover up an old tattoo. Ricky was really nice and patient while we brainstormed on ideas. Then I totally allowed him to do what he does best. I am beyond satisfied and truly grateful! Everyone in the shop was really nice. Thank you for the friendly customer service and most of all for your work. Truly talented!!

This is a review for Brittany Slam:I have had multiple piercings done by Brittany (mostly ear piercings, but others too) and all of them have been a good experience. She always takes her time, sanitizes everything, and make sure I feel at ease with the least amount of pain.She also goes over all of the best routines for care, and if my piercing ever gets irritated I can always call her and she always has a quick response for how to help it heal safely.

Got my helix and forward helix done by Alex! Went with two other friends and he was really patient with all of us. I also like the suggestions he made when marking my ears and the final results. Great experience!

Had a great experience here. The place us clean with a calming vibe. Qulock did my tattoo. It really took my design and knocked it out the park. I mean he did research and really thought about color. Its my favorite tattoo Ive gotten so far.

The people there are kind and nice. It was a group of us getting piercings and Brittney was the best. She pierce all three of us Within minutes apart and work with us. I would go back to her even without half off Thursday going away.

OVER CHARGED..I just moved to the Atlanta area and this was my first tattoo shop experience here..the atmosphere was cool and I just wanted something small, which was what I got, but I paid $80 plus tip for a 2D flower around the size of a quarter. My whole wrist swelled by the time I got home from the shop and into the next day. It doesnt look like it was filled in with the color fully after healing, and everyone thinks Im crazy for paying that much for something like this. Very disappointed, for $90 something bucks in total I wish it wouldve looked a little more proffesional or more couldve been done. This is my second tattoo so Im not a first timer.

I did not like my experience and I dont like my tattoo. When I walked in no one welcomed me at all. It was my first tattoo and I was a little nervous. I wanted a simple text tattoo of 6 words. The artist was very cold and didnt help me with what type of font was best for what I wanted. I told him I wanted a thin, feminine script and he drew up a think masculine script. His reasoning was his sketch was more artistic and better work. Long story short, my tattoo ended up fading after 3 months and the ink bled under my skin. I HATE my tattoo. Ive only had it for 6 months now and I dont even want people to look at it.

My artist was a OCD young man name Roger:) he was awesome. His portfolio does him no justice he is amazing. I want City of Ink to know you guys rock!!!! This location is very professional, the environment is chill and everyone has a good sprit. I was tattooed by Proph & I love what he did for me, his details are amazing. He definitely worked with my ideas and my budget. I appreciate the fact that he gave his honest opinion from an artist prospective and didnt just do whatever I *thought* I wanted. I love this place because its a central figure in the community, functioning as an art gallery for some of Atlantas finest creatives, they bring some of the greatest producer/emcee/djs through for their art crawls (like Yamin Semali and Mic Flo), and support activism by hosting community service-based events using #artactivism to attract the public.

I came for a tattoo and to try to support a black business but left insulted, disrespected and highly disappointed.

The staff were pretty cool and the artist did a great job on my tattoo. Definitely coming back and suggesting this to my friends.

Very rude, no greeting upon walking in just stares, tattoo artist acted irritated and didnt introduce herself. She overcharged me, but in the end the tattoo came out nice and the artist was a little cooler than she came off. I guess because theyre well known in the A they slack off in customer service....needless to say though Im never going back. Well maybe to see this one fine male tattoo artist lol!
