We bought a ring in April, two small diamonds fell out. We took the ring to the local store and was informed unless you pay extra for a warranty, they will do nothing. We paid over 1500.00 for a ring that we did not even have over 8 months. This means they sell poor craftsmanship jewelry. They do not stand behind their products. Do not buy from them.

Husband purchased a ring for me Dec I within that month I had to bring it back missing a stone, so after being sent off for 3 weeks, but told it would be a few more weeks, we told then No.. so they replaced the ring with another one just like it, 2 weeks later I went by to get it checked because it had sharp points on it, after them looking at it, stone was lose.,this was the second ring to be sent off and still not back..asst manager Teresa is a joke. We want a refund but they will not give us one . This was nit a little money this was a few thousand.I do not recommend

This Kay’s is an absolute joke of a business. Let me start by saying that things happen so I don’t let first impressions or accidents stop me from giving a place or a person another chance. Well, at some point you have to realize that a place is just bad. Particularly, the Kay’s at the auburn mall is just bad. The staff is inconsiderate and I am no longer dealing with them.Five years ago this store lost my wedding band. While it was out for a routine inspection. This was after a series of minor mishaps. This mishap is not minor and a wedding ring is a very personal item. The Kay’s staff was neither sympathetic nor helpful in resolving the issue. After months without a ring they finally determined they’d replace with a similar ring of equal or lesser value. This occurred after I started coming in and calling bi-weekly. The staff forgets malls echo and they’d say oh here she comes and make other snarky comments about me. Let’s not forget this had been months without the wedding ring my husband picked for me.I finally get that ring of equal or lesser value. I determined I no longer trust bringing my rings to them for inspections. Within the first few months the diamond falls out. I was pretty upset. Took it back where again it took a couple of moths to fix and be returned to me.I email corporate. I get a generic apology and $50 gift card that will require me to spend money in order to use it. I returned the card and along with a no thanks.Since then I have been hesitant to take my rings in. Understandably, I believe. But I do take it in for the inspections and cleaning. Covid happens. They aren’t taking any cleanings or inspections.This week my diamond fell out again. I was pretty upset that this could happen again. I take it to the auburn mall and the callous manager wants to charge me because I cannot prove it was inspected this year. I tell her my history of issues with Kay’s. This callous manager says She doesn’t care what happened before and can’t do anything with that. I will have to prove I had it inspected or pay to fix it. Despite the fact I have a lifetime warranty my husband paid for. Despite the previous troubles I’ve had. I said can you not see why anyone would be hesitant to bring their rings back? She may or may not be the one responsible before but her attitude towards the situation is pretty cold.Livid doesn’t begin to describe my emotions at the moment. Disgusted. Insulted. Saddened. That in this day and age people have no empathy or kindness in dealing with an emotional sentimental trinket like a woman’s wedding band. I kindly told her to give me my rings back and that Kay’s will NEVER get another dime of my money.

I just Loved their new customer service. I had lost a diamond out of my 13 year Anniversary 2carat ring and never had it replaced because I were told it would cost over $100.00 to be replaced. On the other hand it was much cheaper. So I can’t wait to see what it will look like when it’s returned.

Sent my ring in for a repair back in early March. Still do not have my ring. No updates from them. Its just a busy noise when you call the Auburn store...not just sometimes. Every day all day. Called the service line, they needed to get a hold of the Auburn store to find they answer, they coudnt get through either. I have had my ring for less than a year and I have had to take it to be repaired twice. The same diamond keeps falling out. I have a desk job so its not like Im beating my ring against anything. Just go somewhere else, Im telling you! :D

Ive tried and tried calling to see if that have a certain ring in stock. They absolutely will not answer the phone, guess Ill take my business to Zales at least they are friendly and answer. Absolutely ridiculous.

Have purchased many different pieces of jewelry from this location, from charms to an engagement ring. As far as people go you cant do better than their staff. Always been competitive in their pricing and worked with me when I had questions about anything. Theyll continue to get my business.

This place used to have much better customer service than they do now. The past two times Ive come into this location I have had to wait a ridiculous amount of time while the same people were being helped for a very long time. Then they take people who are looking to make a purchase before they take returning customers who are there for other reasons. I have no choice but to go there since my insurance is through them and its the closest location to where I live. I think that stopping to help someone whos been waiting for quite some time would be worth taking a moment out of your time when someone is trying to figure out if they even should be making a purchase.

Would never do business here again. After spending several thousand dollars at this store the Manager refused to repair a defective clasp at no charge on a chain I purchased five months ago - because I didnt purchase the extended warranty. My mistake. I thought Kay Jewelers stood behind their products. She wanted to charge me $30. So over $30 Kay Jewelers lost a very good customer. Amazing.

I ordered almost $400 in jewelry online and sent my daughter to ask for bags and they said they can’t give out bags and was rude with my daughter. I called and ask if it’s an issue to give bags although I ordered from them and the rude person on the phone would just say we can’t give out our bags. They should offer customer service classes. They act like the bags cost them money. So instead of the usual bags they give when you purchase they give me alternatives.

Went in and ordered a ring on 12/9/2018. I called today and they had not ordered the ring until 12/17/2018. The girl was very rude on the phone and said oh well, you will just have to talk with the manager then hung up. I have spent a lot of money at Kays over the years, but I will never use that store again.

My fiancé purchased my engagement ring in December and we got engaged in January. My ring was a yellow gold solitaire diamond. In the beginning of February, my diamond fell out and my prongs were bent. I took the loose diamond and the ring to the local Kays. The manager told me that I should not wear my ring to sleep, work or shower. (WHEN DO I WEAR IT??) They sent it off and it came back 2 weeks later.Fast forward to the first week in April and it happens again. I went again to the local Kays and it was sent off again. (Again, it was MY fault it was happening and they took NO responsibility for their product having a glitch).After filing a complaint with customer care and letting the local Kays know my concerns of wanting a life time ring and I felt uncomfortable wearing a product that constantly broke, they agreed to let me pick out a brand new ring. After just 2 weeks with the new ring, a diamond from the halo falls out. Kays got me a new ring identical to it. SAME THING HAPPENED. The manager again told me it was my fault for sleeping, showering and working in my ring. I have never in my life known someone to not wear their wedding ring constantly... isnt that why we have them??After much complaining, corporate agreed to give me a full refund and we should have a check within 5-7 business days. After 16 days, I went to the Kays with my concern. The manager told me she could not disclose any info with me because I am not on the account. Well, I am. And even offered to give my husbands social number or to call him and she refused and threw papers in the trash in front of my face when I said I was not leaving until I got some info.It has now been 3 weeks and we have not seen our check.Please save yourself (and your wives) the trouble and work with another company. The products obviously are poorly made as every time my diamond fell out, I was not doing anything strenuous. Kays never apologized for my troubles and reminding me constantly that it was MY problem not theirs.I now have a beautiful engagement ring and the company we work with has been FABULOUS.
