Not at all happy with experience with this uhaul on Friday when my truck was late being returned they called my phone that my son answered and told them I was in the hospital guy said he found that hard to believe and truck needed to be returned because they needed it for someone else had my son in tears when he got to hospital and told me he’s lucky my phone wasn’t working on the hospital and I couldn’t call him back. Had them return the truck and when we went back by 3 1/2 hours later the truck was still sitting in the same spot they left it as well as other trucks in the yard available for use. And husband can’t find something that might of got left in truck so called to find out and they won’t call me back to let me know.
Terrible terrible experience with this location! The manger Thomas Serson is extremely unprofessional and aggressive when confronted. This man put me in a truck that was unreliable and hazardous. After five hours of waiting and having to go across two states to move. The technician came knew that truck needed work and it was never followed up on. It also broke down on another client a week ago prior. There’s so much more I could say. I do not recommend this store at all!
Wonderful people at this location! I picked up a trailer and wasnt fully told the return procedure. I made it there on time but they were not open and I was unaware of the online return. The ladies were so understanding and helpful!!! I really appreciate this from the bottom of my heart!!!
2.7 stars ought to be enough to steer u away from this business. So Im having an ongoing dispute w this company and its costing me to do so, but I told them I refuse to pay until this situation is rectified. I rented a truck from them and when I returned it they said it was smoked in. Of course it wasnt said to my face but the charges where added to my bill. Nobody smoked anything in or around that truck while it was in my possession. The thing that really makes me upset is I ran it thru a car wash before I returned it. I spoke to someone at uhaul about these accusations via email and got no response. I will continue to refuse payment until Im rectified.
The owner, I am assuming was rude and unprofessional. Wish I had rented elsewhere. They never answer the phone and made it seemed that they dont want your business. Unbelievable, Save your money and frustration rent elsewhere.
Made a reservation for an auto hauler trailer. As the computer reservation system didnt have my truck in it a manager locally told me to pick a truck that was rated for the load (I called the branch in advance). When I arrived prepared for my cross country trek, I explained the situation to the rep behind the counter. He said it was required to scan my license, to which I said sure, but your website stated it was optional (and I can confirm it still shows this) He asked to see my truck, which I gladly agreed. This is where things took a turn for the worse:Upon seeing my truck he informed me that not only would he not be renting me a trailer, but I was not licensed to drive the truck I had been driving for years to all four corners of this country. I asked him to explain further and this is where he started raising his voice in front of other staff and customers (who does this is a customer service position?). He very rudely informed me that my truck was automatically considered a commercial vehicle because of its gross weight (not true), and that my license wasnt commerical I could be ticketed or arrested if caught (not true). I attempted to explain at this point that a simple web search could prove my case.This is where the ignorance became entertaining: he stated as he held a commercial license that he knew better (which he didnt), and that he was an expert in DOT regulations (which he wasnt). The icing on the cake was when the I proved to him clearly I was correct as you can drive a 50k pound RV off the sales lot without a special license. He actually acknowledged it and said he didnt agree with it! And there you have it folks, just because you can pass a DOT drug test, and a DOT exam for commerical licensing it doesnt mean you know it all.I walked out and rented the trailer from U-Haul at the next town over without issue.To the management that will hopefully take corrective action on this individual (who shouldnt be allowed to interact with the public at all): I was there 7/5/2020 at approximately noon, if you look at who edited the reservation in my name with a license photo at that time you will have found him!
The person i spoke with to pick up a uhaul was very rude and lazy. I answered all the questions he asked but he never asked if this was an intown or one way rental. At the end before i paid anything i made sure to tell him that this was a one way rental because we were moving far away. He tried to blame me fot his mistake in not asking and had to redo all the paperwork. The employee i spoke with was Tom S., very rude and unproffesional. When returning it the same man preceded to gove attitude cause we brougjt it back, things did not go as planned i told him thats life plans dont always work out he proceeded to be rude and unproffesional.
If you have a storage unit, they park a long line of U-haul trucks in front of your door so you can’t get to your stuff. You have to asking them to move a long line of trucks just to get into your storage unit. You have to plan about 30-45 minutes of wait time to get anything of your stuff.
Used truck for 3 extra hours and was charged for another full day not even 20 miles used !! Would think they would have been a little more considerate being Covid-19 !! -10
I honestly was ready to write a bad review because I was expecting the experiance to be a pain in the butt, like it has been in the past. This was not the case though, I rented a truck and trailer online and they had it ready to go within 5 min of my arrival. The truck was a brand new 2020 Ford. The trailer had a couple dings but it worked just fine. No hidden fees everything was transparent from start to finish. The gentleman here where very helpful as well. I honestly cant think of a bad thing to say, well doneEdit 2021: Ive recently moved and used this place again...I ended up renting two trucks over three days due to my own improper planning. They were consistent fairly priced and courteous, this place has become my go too and they have saved me so much money from haveing to haul stuff. I really cant say enough good things
The sanitized Uhaul had blood in it that we had to clean up. The staff refused to acknowledge as such, claiming it was rust from the hinges that werent even above the area where the blood was dripping down the wall and clearly a different color. No ownership for their lack of inspecting/ cleaning between rentals.
I rented a truck to move a snow mobile on Friday. While completing the rental process I was told that their card machine wasnt working correctly and I would need to pay cash. I paid a cash deposit. I left and went on my way. I stopped to use the atm and found that I had been charged on my card and paid cash. I went back to u haul and was told I was wrong and if my card had been charged it would automatically be returned. I called and talked to multiple people and was told I wasnt charged and still havent been repaid. But because I returned to u haul I went over my miles and they charged me an additional 46 dollars
Had an excellent experience. Easily reserved my van online a couple of days prior. Simply went in, estimated mileage and paid an overestimate. The van was parked waiting for me. The guy outside cleaning off the snow on the windscreen as I went out. When I was done, I took it back, then returned the funds for any mileage I didnt use under the estimate. Thats it. Too easy.
Terrible customer service!! Good vehicles for moving. Went to get a 10 truck and got told it was available if we were driving out of state. We finally were able to get the vehicle. We then also almost got double charged because the guy did not remember us paying... unfortunately there are no other businesses around to rent from for a few hours...

This is some what my fault for running late but I went here today at 4:30 as they close at 5 to have two 20lb propane tanks filled and dude shut down and locked the propane station more than a half hour before close. Needless to say he turned me away. Nice guy.
Employee who came out to interact with us was not wearing a mask, despite a mask-mandate in place for all businesses. Will not rent from here again.

I rented a 17 foot box truck, and rented a dolly for $7 from them.... and it was not put in the truck for me :( so now Im not going to be able to move my washer and dryer up my staircase. The staff was friendly and it was quick service, plus the rental location in Auburn, Maine was very close to my storage unit. I would have given them 5 stars except for the fact that I dont have a dolly.
I was in and out and no time. The truck was brand new with just over a thousand miles on it . I would definitely rent from them again if I need another pick up . Thanks 😀

This place needs a class in customer service. I needed a 5th wheel hitch installed and heard these guys could make it happen. I called the number listed on google and lady answered the phone. Through talking with her I got the feeling she wasnt in the actual auburn location so I asked. Kelsey insured me she was indeed right here in auburn. She helped me schedule my appointment and gave me a price of 37.50 to complete the job. I chuckled and told her, although I would love to pay 37.50 she clearly had something wrong. She the. Assured me she indeed had the correct price and they would see me Wednesday at 1pm for a 3hr hitch installing. Much to my surprise my parts arrived early so I called the same number to see if I could get it done earlier. The general manager on the other end advised me he couldnt get it in early, he couldnt even do it on the day I was promised. He couldnt do it till Friday. After giving him my disgust with the situation and finding out Kelsey was actually in AZ I told him it seams as though the system they have is broken. He assured me it wasnt broken it works fine, I said great Ill see you Wednesday for my installation. He said no you wont I dont even have someone here on that day to do it. So much for that system that works good. So through many phone calls back and forth with a regional scheduling representative we managed to get it in on Thursday for the tube of 200 dollars. Rather than deal with this company any longer I just did the work myself. I dont rent vehicles or moving trucks often I can assure you though if/when I do it wont be from these guys.
If I could have given 0 stars I would have.Horrendous experience. Im on crutches due to surgery about 2 weeks ago. Driving is fine walking can be strenuous esp w crutches. After surfing the lot for 15 mins trying to find the truck rented using the mobile app to avoid going into the store (foreign concept I know) I finally found the truck, and indicated on the mobile app that I had done so and was prompted to confirm the odometer reading which low and behold cant be done without a key 🤷♂️ So in sheer frustration I left in my OWN VEHICLE and the truck did not move. Not 5 mins after being prompted to confirm the odometer reading (by entering the actual mileage again unable to do so sans key) a charge hit my bank. I spoke to 5 different customer service representatives (using those words in quotes because it was a joke) and was hung up on, transferred to the automated line, spoke to a really nice guy named Daniel who worked tech support and couldnt help.This issue still has yet to be resolved and I wont stop until I get every last penny credited back to me.I will NEVER USE UHAUL EVER AGAIN and I strongly encourage those reading this review not to either.
They open at 9am on Sundays. Waited till almost 920 before leaving. Employees still no where in sight as I drove away.
Pricing was good but the reason my review is one star is because Craig Beaudoin from the Auburn location provided terrible customer service. That might not be the highlight of working there but there is no excuse for the rude way he acted towards us when we were nothing but nice. We parked adjacent to a car that was next to us, took the truck, and left. We should have paid more attention because we couldve pulled further in but we didnt. When we went to drop the truck off he said, Wow, lovely parking job, LOVELY. Had a hard time getting the trucks out back, that was a real fun one. And he was not being sarcastic. Unimpressed by the immaturity Craig displayed instead of just advising us of what we did wrong and giving us the chance to apologize.
Used other storage before, this uhaul place is rude, they dont seem to like their job. very expensive, and very unorgainzed.

Friendly service. I asked many questions about the dimensions of one of the trucks. We measured it two different ways before I found that I could fit what I was moving into the truck.
I hate to give places a bad rating, but I had an awful experience here. Scheduled an appointment to have a trailer hitch with wiring put on my vehicle. I showed up the next day, checked in, waited 2 hours, and they finally told me they didnt have the parts in stock. I needed the hitch to pick up a camper so they sent me to a uhual in Saco, Maine and confirmed an appointment. I arrived at the Saco uhual an hour away and the wiring tech was on vacation. They ended up sending their parts to Auburn so I drove back and their tech wired my vehicle. They were nice enough to give me a discount but when I returned home the wiring in the vehicle shorted and caused a brake fault indicator. I took my car to a mechanic and he said it was the worst wiring job he had ever seen. I recommend to stay away.
Really unfortunate that I cant put no stars because if I could I would.You are nothing but overpriced Transportation for my stuff.moving supplies are to damn pricey for storage rentals you can find better storage units for cheaper
My husband waited in line for 45 minutes to pick up our trailer. After he left, he realized that they forgot to put the dolly (that we paid for) in the trailer, so we had to go back and wait over an hour for the dolly. Terrible service (especially for the price!) and experience. Would not recommend.

Rented a pickup after dropping it off they accused me of damaging the corner rear end. Asked for photos of truck and they send pictures from 5 or 6 months ago. Bad service, only friendly to the returning customers.
Dont bother making reservations as they wont be ready on time and they might order the wrong parts so expect a 2-3 week wait

Well I called, was quoted a price for a 5x8...arrived at the shop started with the paper work and was told the charge would be FOUR TIMES what was quoted on the phone....I drove 40 minutes to get this trailer....This shop is bad, these people are bad and I will NEVER go there again and will make sure everyone I know is aware of how poorly this place operates.
