Very frustrated - confirmed a truck at this site, had a confirmation and everything. Then was told day of that it was at a different location and it was way smaller. Not sure why they would confirm something they don’t have available?
A big TEN THUMBS UP to the two young ladies reps at the uhaul 917 auburn way s.. Their system was down, but not their customer service, our truck went totally dead, and one of the young ladies follow us back to the truck helped us get everything done! We are a senior citizen couple, and she never looked bothered or upset!! Wow, you guys have a great couple of reps working there, and please give them a big THANK YOU AND BLESSINGS from the Alexander’s.
This location has shown me impeccable customer service. Brandon helped me and my SO with picking up a reserved car dolly. There were no issues he even replaced a fuse when he was setting up the adapter for the lights. I could not have had a better interaction and I will remember to come here again if I need anything from Uhaul.
The dispatcher was extremely helpful to set up the rental of an auto transport trailer. The technicians in the officer were extremely helpful to get me set up and on the road. They even set up the and attached the trailer for me. Have heard negative stories about rental nightmares but this location was friendly helpful and easy! Absolutely would repeat business!! A+
Trying to pay for storage has been the toughest process I have ever seen. Seems not many employees can do simple tasks like change a card on 2 storage units and not just one. Took months.
The woman who helped me was extremely friendly and helpful. She explained everything thoroughly and clearly. No surprises, no fuss.
So i reserve a truck and get there for them to tell me i have to pay with card first then i can pay with cash later.. even though i came in a month ago paid for a truck with cash no problems but noo not this time use a differnt company
Called see if they have tubes for river and the guy was friendly. Came in a girl help me. Told her I want to buy two tubes for river she said they don’t have any and I told her I spoke with someone on the phone said you do and pointed to her manager. She came out and told me she only have one left. Then she go help someone else and a technician came in and help me after he helped his customer and told me they have a lot more in the back. In another word the manager and the technician is more honest and helpful than the reception girl... if you go here don’t bother working with the girl. Either work with the technician or the manager if not go to Discount Tire....
Not calling a customer when they make the reservation 3 weeks prior to tell them you cant accommodate.....
Had a trailer reserved for more than a week and their employee Jessie called me 16 hours before the pick up time to tell me that not only is there no trailer for me, but the closest location I can get a trailer is in Oregon. Why even have the option to make a reservation if their not going to even attempt to honor it or respect your time? Completely screwed up my plans and cost me hundreds having to adjust for their inability to contact me in a timely manner. I have rented from other locations and never had a problem that i wasnt told about at least 24 hours before my pickup time.
Red Flag #1: Renting us a truck with only ¼ tank of gas and expecting it back with ¼ tank.. they documented the level, at least.Red Flag #2: Truck idles and drives at low speeds like its about to die at any moment.Red Flag #3: A fully loaded semi could accelerate from a stop faster than this 15 truck.Red Flag #4: Check engine light just came on! It comes on and goes off every 5 minutes...Also, unable to park cars at this location and they just say find public parking when asked where to park..Will update with more as they become apparent!
We had reserved a uhaul trailer and when we went it to pick it up were told that there were none available and none nearby so we were simply out of luck. The only option we were given was to drive to Spokane. Do not recommend.

I use uhaul often for trailers and box trucks and this location probably is the worst one you could go to. Ive had good experiences at several other ones except for this one. I payed for my box truck and everything along with filling the gas more than what was in there after i was done, and i even wiped down the dash an all even though the truck was spotless on the inside. For some reason i still get charged $17 afterwords for some odd reason. I called and left the people voicemails wondering why i got charged that and still no answer. I just will never go to this location again. Not only for TERRIBLE costumer service, just for a terrible experience all around.
I was over charged even tho I brought the truck back to the same spot I picked it up same day (so it should be cheaper) and they charged me over $200 and then tried to say I smoked in the truck which isn’t true so they charged me another $30, don’t ever use Uhaul ever I didn’t smoke in their truck and no one else was with me in the truck smoking either they just lie and try to take your money stay away from the fat white chick at the front desk she is the one who gives people problems
Amazing service here. Not only did the person who took my reservation call end up being the most delightful person in sales, but Christopher that works in the building in south auburn made our move quick and easy.10/10 would recommend10/10 will come to this location again
Had a difficult experience on the busiest weekend of the month, HOWEVER, the staff on site hustled as much as possible to help everyone there, when I spoke to a manager about the situation he was quick to resolve to my satisfaction. Good team working this location, I remain a loyal U-Hail customer!
I called in advanced and placed a reservation and paid in advance for an appliance dolly for this location. When I showed up to pick it up they told me they gave it to someone else. Pretty simple thing not to screw up and it really messed things up for us as we have some critical things that have to be moved. We also sat in the front office when we arrived with nobody in the building or responding for a good 5+ minutes. I don’t need to be helped right away but you should have someone around that can acknowledge a customer and let them know you’ll get to them.
Rented uhaul for a friend so they could move on a thursday nite at 7 pm (smaller truck because original reservation was somehow canceled) to be returned Friday nite at same time...well friend needed more time. Called customer service to have extended until 2pm saturday and my credit card was charged accordingly... female employee from This store called me Saturday morning at work (7:15) exact time telling me customer service made a mistake and I have to return truck immediately or she was going to charge me for inconvenience I caused another customer who had a reservation..lets see ..Ive already been charged. Customer service made a mistake and this uhaul employee says shes charging me for the other customers inconvenience.. never going back here again after I go straighten her out on who she thinks she us charging me for uhauls lack of communication

I wish I could separate the company from this location. The website does not function as a tool to reserve a truck. Never use it. The reservation is only a preference and they will assign you a truck based on their stock levels. Changed my reservation without contacting me, opened the store 20 minutes late (while multiple families waited outside, greasy handprints on my steering wheel when I picked it up, and employees were all rude (besides the polite man I handed the keys over to when I dropped the vehicle off).
Questionable competency and management. Scheduled appointment to fix 3 year old u haul hitch harness and when I arrived was told they could not fit me in even though they quickly took my cc info to reserve the time. Ok, I rescheduled for the following week. Dropped my truck off, tech worked on it all day and was not able to replace or repair it. I was told a wiring pro would call me the next day to find a location that could fix the issue. That call never came despite me calling the auburn location twice. Now, I need to have my dealer replace the harness with the factory harness and towing package at a much higher cost. Buying a uhaul hitch and wiring is a waste of money unless you only plan to tow something once. Very poor service.
I was given 4 different quotes to install a trailer hitch. I called to ask what was going on and instead of calling me back to update me they made an appointment... just got a text saying my apt was made for tomorrow at 11.When I called them back I was put on hold for 45 min and still couldnt figure it out
Maybe I just caught them at a good time, but my experience with them was perfectly sound. I needed a 9am cargo van rental for nine hours. The online reservation functioned as it should have, making my trip free of unnecessary delay. I don’t recall the name of the man who helped me, but he was polite and clear about what needed to be done to the customers ahead of me (he didn’t have to say much to me since I’d already done everything online, lol), and got me in and out very quickly when it was my turn. The truck was 3/4 full, I returned it with the same amount, and the young lady that checked me back in was able to complete my purchase outside on the spot so I could save myself a trip going back in. She was also polite and straightforward, and took care of the tail end of the transaction with considerable haste.All in all, no one seemed to detest their job, the people, their lives, the morning, the customers, or anything else negative that so many reviewers here have stated. The online reservation worked well and made the transaction smoother than most. I did not use the app for this rental. This is the second time I have used U-Haul, and the second time I have reserved my van online.
Made a reservation online to pick up a truck for 24 hours and was told when we got there were had to have the truck back by close because someone else reserved it. The general manager was a total nightmare. He has terrible customer service and we will never give them our business again. Well go elsewhere. When we got back to the store to drop it off, there wasnt another customer to get it. They wanted it so they could rent it to someone else the next day and get another $175 from someone else. We paid $175 for 9 hour rental, not 24 hours plus gas. They totally ripped us off. We suggest Westcoast Storage on A st. Weve done business with them and will go there from now on. Im seriously disappointed in Michaels customer service.
I will not go to this place, anymore. By being that old and known I thought they were going to be more trustful and organized.Here is my story:I showed up on Sunday at 9:00am (I previously called to make this appointment), i got helped at 9:20am which i understand since there was people in front of me EVEN IF I HAD AN APPOINTMENT.At 9:50 i went to talk to them and one of the guy said honestly, I think its gonna take us up to 3 PM to get it done, they told me over the phone that it will take a maximum of two hours and that I would be out by 11 AM so i thought if I can be out of there by noon, i will be fine.Whats the point of making an appointment, give you references numbers and all that BS if once you get there you going to be in line like the rest of them?, they were giving priority to the people renting the trucks instead of me even if I called them a week before.The guy told me that he would install the hitch once the other two guys could handle the business by themselves, but there was only one customer. Where they in training?... I dont think so, they were helping customers thats normal when I got there... Anyway, I dont think Im gonna go back to this place because I needed something to be done and I did what I had to do by making my appointment and showing up on time and they did not meet my expectations.
Terrible service!! Showed up at 5:00pm to check in my truck rental. The employees were at the desk but would not check my truck in because they close at 5:00pm. They insisted we use the mobile application to check our truck in, when using the mobile application it kept stating ‘web error’. The employee then told us we would need to call customer service to check in the truck... Then they had the nerve to come out and ask us to move the truck to a different location. Then waiting 10 minutes on the phone I asked if they could check me in and they finally agreed. This is not customer service if you ask me, I’d give zero stars if I could!
Initial blonde was nice, but when we went to return the lady with colored hair was plain rude. The needle was basically where it started because it was driven 10 miles. She said it needed to be filled up and if it didnt start full we had to have told them (which we did) and she said it wasnt in the system (not our fault again). So she made us fill up the tank. Then when I said we told them. she said excuse me if you would let me finish talking ( which she wasnt talking ). Everything else went fine she was just rude and I dont like the disrespect for no reason.
Cancelled my order without any notification, shame on you guys.
I rent u hauls all across the country. This is the worst customer service Ive ever had. Acts like they do not care about the customer and refuses to allow a person to park a car. Ask where to park and he says go find public parking. Place is sorry.
Gets the job done if you are in need of storage. Much cheaper options in & around the area. Wouldnt of chosen this unit but, got a free month for renting a truck.

Worst service every! Kept me at the location for over 30 min only to realize that the tail light on the trailer is out and could not be rented....Horrible customer service. And if you dont reserve in advance you will be stuck with equipment order then yourself! Terrifying to use!
I use it mostly because its close not because the rates are really good or anything. But the staff there have always taken decent care of me and made sure I got the vehicle that I needed so Id recommend them over most of the other choices around.
This place is desperately in need of renovation. It looks the same as it did back in the 1980s. All the stuff is there, but you have to go to a different room to get some boxes. Not in the best part of town, and Auburn Way S is a busy street that needs expansion.
Made a reservation a day in advance (Friday). Went to pick it up (on Saturday) and was told....oh sorry we wont have that truck until 4pm...nice! I will never do business with these guys again....the people behind the counter could have cared less that they totally screwed my day up!
Every time(3 times) Ive picked up a truck here the gas has been siphoned from my rental truck. This results in the customer getting credited on their rental barely enough money to fill the tank back up to a quarter tank but you have to go straight to a gas station and fill up. No credit for wasting my time. One time I had a truck that was siphoned so much that the truck wouldnt start and they told me to go to another uhaul place that was even further away which means I get charged even more. Had to speak to the Manager as this was not acceptable since 1. Im not going to pay for more miles for their problem and 2. I had people waiting. Finally they went and got gas and put in the truck. Plan on taking an extra hour to deal with their trucks being siphoned. They dont have any preventive measure in place to stop it from happening either.
Worst experience with this company. I have used U-haul for many of years. We ordered 4 U-Boxes for pick up and once we arrived at the facility they had no idea of the reservation because it went through there call center. I ended up having to wait for 3 hours while they got them ready. I then had my CC info stolen and after 6 calls finally got the info changed to my new card (so I thought). When it came time to have my boxes delivered, I called in to scheudle this and they said that I was deliquent by a month and couldnt schedule until this was resolved. Ended up taking about a week to get this sorted after numerous phone calls. Deliverey was scheduled for a Friday, ended up getting the boxes at about 8pm that evening. Then they were late for picking them up for a day. I will never use U-Haul again for these services and will not recommend to anyone.

Fraudulent location!!! i pay for 1 day rental picking up the trailer at 7pm. that means I supposed to returned it the next day at the same time BUT Guess what!! They told me to retur it at 1pm because they have a reservation OK..... so that mean is not a 1 day Rental Right!!!
Very knowkedgable. They hitched up and connect proportional brake controller in just a few hours at about half the cost of most other places around.
I recently rented a truck from this particular location and returned it before it was due back and they had the audacity to call me early the next morning and say I didn’t bring it back in time. Obviously, the employees are incompetent and they lack a structured system for their rentals.
