We had new flooring put in throughout the entire first and second floor of our house. First mistake was leaving an entire room out of the measurements when it was supposed to just be that room’s closet that was excluded. Simple misunderstanding I suppose, as measurements were done contactless while we weren’t home due to COVID, but when the tech came back out to remeasure I overheard him blaming us for it, saying there was no way he would have missed a 12’x12’ room. He never questioned if we really wanted to install hardwood in the entire house except for one room though…seems like an odd thing to do, right? (Should also be a lesson…never talk trash on the homeowner in their own house. Never know who might be listening.)The installers also started installing floors in another closet that was supposed to be excluded. We caught this but said we’d just include the closets and order more flooring. I told the installers not to cut off the boards at the other closets, so that we could lace in the additional boards and not have a hard cutoff. Well, there was a language barrier with the installers and this request was not honored. When the extra flooring came in the floor in one closet did not even line up with the rest of the floor (see pictures) and due to the hard edge they had to put in T-molding. Not a very clean look for a brand new floor.I didn’t think there was a whole lot of attention to detail put into our project in general, and if we want the issues with the closets corrected we apparently have to order two entire rooms of flooring, which will cost several thousand more dollars.For the most part the installation is solid and the installers did fix the areas where the subfloor was creaking. Maybe we just had bad luck or bad communication because the vast majority of reviews seem to be really good. I dunno, I guess the nature of a whole house renovation is that some things will inevitably go differently than expected.Ultimately my experience with AF&D was not spectacular but not the worst ever either.

We’re obsessed with our new carpet! So plush and a beautiful color! Mike was awesome to work with from start to finish! Maria is very nice as well! The installation was very smooth and they were flexible to fit our schedule. Truly affordable prices for high quality products/work. Highly recommend!

All around excellent work from start to finish! AF&R came in very competitive with their bid/estimate and from there is off to the races! They removed carpet and hard wood covering nearly 950 sq feet and then installed the new viny CoreTec plank in less then 3 1/2 days. Everything was perfection. The hardworking crew listened to my desires to have as much variation as possible in the plank as it was being laid down, and let me tell you, the photos do not do heir work justice! They look even better in person! I love AF&R and would recommend them for your project.

We had a terrible experience working with Affordable Flooring on our wood floors in our new construction home. We’re currently looking to have the floors fully replaced at a cost of an additional $20k to us (Affordable Flooring already took their $20k+).They put the floors in before the house was acclimatized, and all of the boards started to split apart from each other leaving large gaps. They tried to fill the gaps with a wood putty that didn’t match the wood, then that cracked. The floors are also bowing in multiple spots. Overall it just looks terrible.The floors are ‘squishy’ in a lot of places – I don’t think they nailed them down tight enough. Or because they installed them before the house was acclimatized, things shifted. They pop up when you step on them in numerous places.They also did a very bad job at making the wood floors flush with each doorway. There are big, uneven gaps and a 2x2 inch hole by our back door where it looks like they clearly just cut the wrong size wood and left it that way.The finish didn’t stand up to even one week in the house. The highly trafficked breakfast bar area had the finish completely worn down within a week of moving in and now is a lighter/ discolored version of the rest of our floors.There were also some areas with major discoloration or gashes in the wood – they tried to hide this poor quality wood in various parts of the house (e.g., under a counter lip, in a closet).We brought the Affordable Flooring owner to review the ‘quality’ of the work, and he took no responsibility for it. They blamed everything on the builder, though the finish wearing away, miscut wood at the doorways, and overall horrible attempt to fill cracks in with (different colored) wood putty was clearly on them. They offered to refinish the floors – at a cost to us and profit to them. We obviously didn’t take them up on that offer since we’d seen the ‘quality’ of their work already.

I hired Affordable Flooring to install and refinish new flooring for a house I was getting ready to sell. They were incredibly helpful, including helping me add MORE work after we had everything scheduled (and bailing me out of a big time problem). I had new laminate and carpet installed, as well as my hardwoods refinished. All of the crews were hard working (even worked on Christmas!) and finished ahead of schedule. I got exactly what I was looking for with these floors. Michael and Maria are a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend Affordable Flooring & Remodeling to anyone. Affordable Flooring refinished a large area of oak flooring in a high traffic area that hadnt been refinished in over 20 years. There were some warped boards and very worn areas. They also removed carpet and laid down wood flooring in the adjoining 2 step down family room. The colors match perfectly and we are very pleased with the job. Affordable Flooring was the lowest bid we got and we were not disappointed.

I was first impressed with the wide array of flooring choices available at Affordable. My kitchen, dining room, entry and bathroom floors posed some challenges because they lie atop a cement slab that no longer could be described as level. In the planning stages, we discussed the options for various aspects of the process, and I was satisfied with the answers I got in light of these challenges. My estimate was a fair amount less than that from another retail installer. While any project of this magnitude is going to cause some disruption for the residents, Affordable was flexible when it became apparent that an extra day was going to be needed to complete it, for which I was grateful. Although some extra costs became necessary, I feel like this was a good value. Im extremely satisfied with the work required to level the base, and with the new flooring, which was installed with great care. The transitions are smooth, the layout is beautiful, and the edges are flawless.Im quite happy with my new flooring, and hope that others will consider Affordable for their flooring needs.

While the showroom is a basic experience (not fancy), the quality of the install was impressive. We had over 2,000 sq ft installed; we chose 5in white oak with walnut stain (solid wood). Scheduling and coordination by office staff was also good. A low stress high yield experience.

Is it normal for a flooring company to leave a HUGE mess after a laminate install? We used Affordable Flooring & Remodeling and they left thick layer of dust covering the entire house, so bad I could not see the floors. Holes in our walls, banisters and trim not replaced. They told me it is our responsibility to finish clean up and do wall repairs/painting. The craftsmanship was good but for all the $$$ we dished out I expected a finished & polished product.The cost for 2 levels was $12,000. This ultimately delayed our move in and cost us our deposit where we moved from. Left me feeling shocked and deflated.

They did a superb job refinishing my wood floor at a very fair price. This company is very honest and professional. The stain coloring and materials used produced exactly what they said it would..a deep rich textured appearance..with no hidden fees. The workman were very courteous, respectful, pleasant, and very meticulous in their work. They completed the work in the time stated and were never late. They did a excellent job we are exceedingly pleased with and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

AF&R did an excellent job replacing a cracked undermount sink, doing some general plumbing, and fixing a complex drywall hole in my home. When they were done, you couldnt tell there had ever been a problem. It was all back to looking new and great. Their prices are great, and their workers are conscientious. I highly recommend AF&R.

My only regret is that we didnt buy the tiles from Affordable Flooring...we had already bought them from Carpet Exchange--at a not-too-affordable-price. Affordable Flooring was excellent through my entire experience.They were able to come out and measure my floor with short notice and get competitive pricing on the flooring product we chose. We ran into issues with the manufacturer of the product we selected, but Affordable Flooring handled it incredibly well! Mariya kept me updated with the status and was honest with me the whole way. Once we got the issue with the manufacturer figured out we were able to get our product expedited. The installers came out and committed to finishing the job faster than what they estimated. They even came out on Saturday to finish when we were told they dont usually work on weekends. They did a beautiful job installing and were very precise with all their cuts. They also did the baseboards for us and they did such a great job with it. We also decided last minute we wanted to replace the flooring in more area than we planned on, and they were able to order the floor and get it installed very quickly. Being in the industry myself i know things will never go perfectly, and Affordable handled the bumps professionally and promptly. We had Affordable Flooring refinish and install hardwood flooring in May 2018, and we had Affordable Flooring install carpet in our basement in the summer of 2017. Both experiences were great. As their name states, they are very affordable. Their customer service is excellent. When we visited the store, Maria and Mike were extremely helpful and answered all of our questions and offered suggestions for our projects based on our needs.For the hardwood flooring, we had them add on hardwood to an existing floor and then refinish the old hardwood floor to make one large, continuous floor. The results were wonderful. We cant tell where the old floor and the new floor meet. Weve been very happy with our new hardwood. The satin finish they recommended was much better than the old oil-based finish.I completely recommend Affordable Flooring and Remodeling and plan to use them for all of our future flooring!

Excellent customer service and quality of work. Not only did they give us quotes far below their competitors, but they did first rate work, and were able to stay within the estimated work time, even when complications came up with the amount of wood that needed to be replaced so Pet stains, which they couldn’t know how bad it was until they ripped up the carpet to get to the hardwood underneath. We had to vacate our home due to my daughter not being able breath in the fumes and we only had our Airbnb for a certain period of time but they were able to finish not only on time, but early!

Mariya in the store was helpful and very nice but as far as the installation went, it was a hurry-up job with no respect for our property. They show up whenever they want regardless of the time they tell you they will arrive, sometimes leaving us waiting for HOURS. One day worker showed up mid-afternoon and walked right into the house without knocking or ringing the bell.They do not remove and replace baseboards as stated on estimates. Baseboards get bashed and gouged by the machines, more than minor touch up is needed. Walked in from patio to find hardwood crew helping themselves to what they needed in my kitchen to make their lunch. Bucket-sized pile of sawdust left on the lawn after new hardwood installed. Trimmed oak floor with maple transition pieces. Finisher broke photo on wall with handle of machine, it fell and gouged baseboard, he just hung it back up sideways; he used our hose and left water running for hours until neighbor called us to say her yard was flooded; a can of stain leaked from his truck down our driveway, 3 days later he asked ME to get a pressure washer from Home Depot for him to clean it up! Terrible finished product on the floor, splotchy stain patches and unevenly sealed. Owner had to re-do job. I chose them because of the great reviews. Very disappointing experience.

We had our basement floors redone with a laminate from Affordable Flooring. The floor turned out amazing and we had a great experience! We had a few other contractors doing work at the house and Olec and Alex were by far the best. They arrived on time (or a few minutes early), were very polite, worked hard, and did a great job. During the install, they left inexperienced techs alone for hoursA month after the install, my flooring buckled upwards. Steer clear of this, pick another company!

Bought flooring a month and a half ago for our office was told we could return it but would have to pay a re-stocking fee. Tried to return the flooring and was told we no longer could as they no longer sell it. Shouldnt they have told us that when it was purchased. Also when we first got the quote the price was lower then the day we paid. How do you raise a price of a product when you know you are no longer going to carry it and then refuse the return when you first said we would just have to pay a re-stocking fee. Awful company with awful business practices. Buyers Beware!!!!!!!
