I had attempted to put in some new sights on my Glock with limited success. So when I went in today to grab a rifle I had ordered, I brought in my slide. Joel was kind enough to get my back sight pushed all the way in at no charge. Thanks again!
My family and I worked with Joel when it came to storing and shipping my guns across the country. I found Joel to be very attentive to the antique firearms, securing and caring for them. My family and I cant say enough nice things about how much he put into the service. Everything made it across the country safely and in perfect condition. Thank you Tips and Brass for going above and beyond.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a gun shop close to home, as most of the others I frequent are all about same distance and not close. Decided to try it out.Went in and it seemed like maybe there was some remodeling going on. No biggie but they had these large tables directly in front of their entire glass case, so browsing was effectively impossible. Some other sections of the store were very strangely laid out, and it was unclear if I was in areas that were off limits or not. To make things stranger, I never once spoke to anyone. There was a guy on the phone, and a woman that I assume work ed there because she came from a side door at some point. Neither said a single word to me. I am not even sure they made eye contact or acknowledged my presence.I checked for some optics and accessories I was looking for, and didnt see much, but the layout, as above, seemed very odd, like it was not organized in categories. Things were just sitting on shelves with no labels, no pattern. I mightve taken time to figure it out, but inventory was very light to begin with, and no one seemed to mind that I had wandered into their store and then out again. So TLDR version, no help and not much to see for buying, so not really worth going back.
I am a repeat customer currently waiting for my background check to come back. I thought the store was really cute the people were really nice they have the sweetest little baby with tiny cowboy boots and a guard Chihuahua.
They were great, had my gun shipped from South Dakota, Joel was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly- would def visit again for FFL, ammo, accessories, etc. Thanks!
I purchased a pistol online back in March. It was a straight forward process. Located the fire arm. Went in to store to fill out background check. Received fire arm. Very smooth and the gentlemen I spoke with was nice and helpful. My only issue has been that Im still waiting on a box of 9 MM Hornady ammo that I havent received or seen any feedback on. I realize there are still shortages nationwide on ammo, but hopefully Ill hear something soon. Ive been seeing updates online from ammo retailers the last week regarding 9MM ammo coming back in stock.
They stuck it out with me for 56 days while waiting on the CBI to make up their mind. Real nice and honest folk. Couldnt ask for anything more.
Called around for information about ammo and a new firearm, the staff was very nice and knowledgeable. The staff did not get frustrated with my many questions. Awesome store and nice staff.
Bought a 1911 model firearm for my husband birthday and everything went awesome. Great store, great staff, and cute doggie mascot. I highly recommend this establishment.
Recently purchased a firearm from out of state and had it transferred to Tips and Brass. Joel was extremely helpful as I was clueless of the process. I then took his basic firearms safety class and learned SO much. When a friend asked me to look for a specific firearm for her, I didnt hesitate to contact Joel...and he had exactly what she was looking for at a very fair price. Shop local!!! Help out our neighbors!! Stop by this business!!
Great staff and very knowledgeable. Would recommend this store to anyone! Definitely doing more business there.
DO NOT GET ANY DURACOATING HERE, I WAS SCAMMED. Took my glock here to get duracoated and double undercut. Took them months and looked terrible after I finally got it back. Had to remind them that I was still waiting for it and they told me I could pick it up in another week. When I had it cerakoted over by DangerLee Industries they told me that when they soaked it in brake cleaner all of the duracoat came off and it was actually just spray painted with a can of krylon. A can that you can get at walmart for around $5. I paid over $100 for the duracoating and double undercut. Scammed me with a smile on his face the whole time.
I like this place. Joel is always pleasant, and quite knowledgeable when I need help. I will continue to use them for FFL, and when I just have general questions.
Friendly, knowledgeable, and quaint! Just not a lot of selection. Also, doggo. c:
Awesome store! I’m new to the gun world and Jeff took the time to really talk to me, explain things, and we had awesome conversation. Highly recommend stopping by!
Joel is great!
Went in there to buy a gift for a buddy. Great customer service. I had a bunch of questions about varying subjects. The guy working there was very gracious and answered my questions without making me feel like a goob. Will definitely be back.
Purchased ammo and a firearm from this store. Great service and great price!
Just called into find out availability on a small semi-auto pistol, not brand specific but prefer G. Pressed 1 for a salesperson. The person I got was not a sales person. I explained to him what I was looking for and he replied with .” Nope “ didn’t offer what he did have in stock, didn’t ask one single question about my purchase .. just nope...
Terrible gun store. Save yourself some time.
Great place friendly stuff
Loved it. Very friendly and very very helpful. Answered all my questions thoroughly and made me feel comfortable throughout my entire purchase I will return and recommend to others
I contacted TNB to do a transfer from a mail order company. They said they needed the company to email them to ask for thier FFL so they could ship the firearm. They never responded to the email. I contacted them and they said they would be closed when the firearm was delivered. Long story short it wasnt shipped because they never responded. I realize that they dont make a lot off of transfers. $25-40 is the going rate. Which is why I wasntd burning them up asking if they had gotten ean email and respindeded. Replying to and email takes 5 min and another 10 min to 30 for my background check. Thats still 60-70 bucks an hour that they charge for their effort. Disappointed that they were so unprofessional. It is what it is. Might just get my own FFL to cut out the middle man.
Came in to perform a private party transfer, using them as the middle-man. Left with a new place to shop.Joel was knowledgeable, articulate, patient and a pleasure to talk to afterwards. The store is very clean and modern-style western. They were able to look things up for me and give special order information as well. The prices were great. Below MSRP for sure. The atmosphere here was very comfortable and I noticed they do classes and training. Great to see stores like this around town.
This firearms store is one of the most welcoming and family friendly gun stores I have ever been in! The staff members are so welcoming, polite, and highly experienced. The retail area has a wide variety of guns and ammo at very reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this store.
I was in the store today and it definitely had a friendly, clean atmosphere. The gentleman I spoke to was very friendly easy to speak to and knowledgeable about various items. I will do what I can to bring business to the small shop!
Extremely rude. Took my money for the background and couldnt care less to help me further with a purchase.
Joel was very helpful and had a positive attitude. Will definitely do business again.
Very nice people. Will be doing future business there.
Horrible service, for such a small store you would think someone would notice you and ask if you needed help. Definitely not the case here. Small selection and overpriced for a small firearm shop. If you want experience, variety, confidence go to iron horse armory in parker. Actually anywhere but here... and I actually dont work at iron horse as you said, I also wasnt greeted like you stated as well.
I bought my first gun here and was very happy with the whole process, joel was very friendly and kind. I will diffently be back to get work done or look into getting accessories for my glock. Love supporting local small business and would recommend others to check this shop out.
The owner is very knowledgeable and great customer service.
Great local shop with a gunsmith on premise. They have always been helpful and welcoming when Ive gone in.
Ive had bought, sold, and gotten work done on my firearms from here. I have no complaints and I will use these guys over and over again.
The people running the shop know what they are doing and helped me out a few times. Pretty good prices on ammo and guns, friendly atmosphere and they can give good advice on what to get if you describe what you want to use the firearm for (defense vs competative sport, etc.) If they dont have what I want, they can order it for me quick.Gunsmithing services offered -- quality work! Will definitely be coming back here again!
I purchased my first gun at this store last week. The process was smooth, the price was great, and the selection was just enough to make it simple and not overwhelming.
Love coming here, great service and very knowledgeable staff. If they dont have the part/tool/or firearm I am looking, they can order it right there on the spot. Plus they do layaway for guns as well.I take all my firearms here for gunsmithing work. Having a full gunsmith shop just down the street from my house is amazing. Also alittle plug for the store, starting in April, they will be able to duracoat firearms, in any color/color pattern you want.I will continue to come here for the foreseeable future.
I learned the expensive way...I gave him my gun for refinishing and he did a very bad job at it. When I looked the gun over I asked him if this was up to his quality control standards, he said no. He was absolutely right, this is the worst job by any standard. The gun was not prepped properly, the DuraCoat was blotchy on both sides of the slide, there was a smear on one side and several small scratched in different places on the gun, there as blob (the DuraCoat ran in a spot) and you could see metal on the back of the slide and around the magwell area.He reduced the price to $85. Now I am $85 out and still have to pay for the gun to be refinished.Very unfortunate.
Can order ammo in and arrived pretty quick
Jason is rude, dismissive and doesnt seem all there. Not what youd want from someone working with firearms!
Great customer serive
4/5,.if I could transfer the gun the same day, would be a 5/5.
Waste of time
Special orders make it a pesonal experience
