I hate giving up one of my favorite meat markets in Austin but I want to give them more business!We mostly come in here to buy meat to BBQ. Everything that weve had.. And its been a vast selection... Has been delicious and fresh.Everything that they season and marinate in house is my favorite. My favorite thing to grab for a weeknight dinner is their al pastor. You must get it.Being from South Texas.. The border not San Antonio I was missing a taste of home. This place definitely fills that hole.I recently tried the cárnitas from the restaurant inside of the market and it was to die for. At $7.99 a pound I think its pretty fair. They take the pieces youre getting off the whole as you stand there. Its delicious!

The meat looked super fresh. They had a HUGE selection. I will be going back for another grocery trip. Go check this place out!

Actually I LOVE THE FOOD HERE! VERY DELICIOUS! However I am a white mexican, so my bowls of menudo COMES UP SHORT, 8 pieces of tripe, 11 pieces of hominy for $7.99. They even laugh at me and address me by the name Guedo. Good food. RACIAL SERVICE!

Great little taqueria inside of a supermarket. Great prices at $1.99 for all tacos, and you can buy a beverage at supermarket prices.Carnitas: Star of the show. Dripping with juices and tender and wonderful.Pastor: Good flavor.Barbacoa: Tender, but on the bland side, but that can be easily rectified with some salsa.Fajita: Flavorful, but a little tough.

Drive in late to Austin one evening, stumbled across this place totally by accident. Ordered dos carnitas de puerco and a pineapple flavored soft drink. It was muy delicioso. Not bad for only $5.

The meat department always has a great selection, and its fresh. Dont let the stacks of meat deter you. They are constantly rotating the stock, are very friendly, and always willing to customize for you. Most of the employees speak decent English, so communication isnt a problem. Even the store manager has helped me himself on several occasions. Look for the daily specials. Each weekday they have a different special, that is concurrent week to week. For example, on either Monday or Tuesday (Im not sure which)of each week, they have boneless/skinless chicken breast for less than $2 a pound. Decent produce selection, just make sure you wash it first! I have never had a complaint about the place.
