Illuminate has everything youd need in a corner coffee shop. There is a spacious interior with tons of seating perfect for studying, catching up with friends, or generally passing the day. The owners are great and very friendly to customers. The prices are fair and the drinks are made very well.

Great place to work or bring a book. Theres lots of tables and good natural light. Coffee is a little on the weak side for my taste, but not bad. They also have a nice selection of teas.

I had mocha and breakfast taco this morning and let me tell you, this was the best mocha of my life. It was perfect amount of bitterness from expresso and sweetness from chocolate! Potato egg and cheese taco was pretty darn good. And talking about customer service- very friendly staff. Definitely stop by if you already have not.

Not a coffee drinker. Told I could find a hot cuppa here. Yes, I did! Love a fresh brewed cup of tea from loose leaf and they have a great array. Really comfy place and bigger inside than I would think. Great service and prices!

I am not a regular in this part of town, but a dog/house sitting gig brought me to Illuminate Coffee Bar. I was dropping off a sick dog at the vet, my ward for the week was not feeling well, so I needed to grab a coffee and chill somewhere while I waited. Luckily a local spot came up on my search and what a pleasant surprise, maybe the day will not be a total loss! I was greeted by friendly welcoming people who made a delicious cup of coffee and wonferfully satisfying bacon egg breakfast taco. I will definitely keep this spot on my radar.

Great vibe but not so great coffee if you’re into getting simple americanos or drip. Obviously syrups cover a multitude of sins but if you want a satisfying cup of coffee I wouldn’t bother.

I had a lovely time at Illuminate Coffee Bar. People seemed to be working, studying, relaxing, and meeting up there.The music is loud enough to keep it hard to hear details of conversation but soft enough not to invade your headspace.I had a white gold and enjoyed its creamy, sweet flavor.The decor is tasteful; the natural light is refreshing; and there is a bike out front.Im eager to go again.

Not very welcoming. A nice quiet place, but Id like to hear hello at least because we are all taught to greet. The lady did not say anything except for the total price. I could tell she clearly did not care at all.

Great atmosphere. Not so great coffee. I got a latte and it tasted so bad I went back and got a cold brew. I thought there is no way to have a bad tasting cold brew, yet somehow they managed it.

The logo (light bulb) and name (illuminate) are confusing being next door to an actual Bulb store. It wasnt until I was stopped at a red light did I notice it also said Coffee. Service and Product has been hit or miss, But good to know there is a coffeehouse in the area other than corporate starbucks.

This place is aweosme. I tried the Walter white it has coconut oil, white choclate, caramel, espresso shots. It was one of the best coffee I have had. And the Sugar free vanilla latte is also good. It has a really pleasant ambience. Would recommend people to go there and I would go there again for sure. They have different flavoured frozen yogurts as well. Its good place to take kids too.

Coffee was pretty terrible again check out my other coffee reviews this is bottom of the barrel bitter latte with bad espresso taste and made with whole milk to boot. I’m giving it an extra star for these reasons (1) totally empty on a Saturday which is great for us (2) nice and cold (3) has games to play. I would try to up your coffee game and you might actually get people in here. *Edit. Actually I’m removing a star because of the price if it was like $3 for the small I wouldn’t have but I paid $4.75 for this drink. If I wanted those prices I would go to Starbucks.

This was my second trip here. I really like the place. Its like hanging out in your friends living room drinking coffee and working on your computer. I had pumpkin bread this time which was really good. The only negative thing I can say about it is both times they really seem to be understaffed and it took a long time to get the orders and make the drinks. But the sweet caramel coffee drink made everything ok. I will go back.

This coffee shop is a great place to go and meet friends or just stop in and grab a white gold to go. The tacos are delicious and the assortment of breads will please everyone in the group.

Great coffee shop. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and good music. I had a Cookies and Cream blended coffe and my husband had the Illuminate (espresso with coconut oil and honey) - both were excellent.

The staff was not very inviting. No greeting or any welcome. There was just a long silence before we started to order. The the sandwiches left much to be desired and were disproportionate, but the coffee was very good.

Came into illuminate because my favorite friendly coffee shop Mojos across the street was close. Illuminate had some very rude employee working (2 ladies) didn’t greet us and after our drink wasn’t the best, cashier didn’t want to replacement the drink. Never coming here again. I would recommend Mojos across the street. They are extremely nice and always happy to provide recommendations as a first timer.

This shop is an excellent coffee shop! They have great drinks (I love the Illuminate) and lots of food to eat. They have some chairs and tables outside if you want to sit outside on a nice day. Theres also seating inside if you need to work on your computer for a while.

Clean atmosphere, one staff is nice, polite and professional attire. I was extremely uncomfortable by the other’s inappropriate dress attire. There should be a dress code. Luckily there is a coffee shop across the street.

Great little coffee shop! Almost dont want to review this place and let word out about this quaint hidden gem. But their drinks are amazing, breakfast tacos were wonderful, kept very clean. I will definitely continue to visit this place when in NW Austin/ Cedar Park area!

Delicious coffee and great customer service! They have a table outside, board games to play and wifi. They also have a self serve for coffee ground. I would definetly reccomend. Vanilla latte and chai tea are my go to.

This is my second time and my last time here. I drove quite a bit to come here for coffee and because i liked it the first time. However, I got here before closing time and the person at the cashier said they just closed. Maybe it was my fault I got here too close to the closing time but I have never been to any coffee shop that they shut off everything and refused to serve.

Pretty good coffee shop with some interesting coffee options such as coconut oil and honey, mocha nut, butter coffee as well as traditional lattes. They have fall flavors too. The place is busy with a steady stream of customers. The service is a little slow, but they only had a couple of baristas. I ordered the classic sandwich and it was pretty bland. It needed salt or some spices. Overall a good coffee shop and Ill have to try some other coffees. I had the sweet caramel and it was good.

Quaint and cozy place. Very attentive and friendly staff. My beef teriyaki dish had amazing flavors with a beautiful presentation of broccoli and carrots to go with the entree.Delicious coconut ice cream was the best I ever had and a satisfying way to end my tasty meal.

This is my new favorite place in town. The last two times the guy that made me an Illuminate Latte, it was absolutely excellent. He might be a new employee, as he has only served me twice. I actually laughed the first time he made one for me last week, because it was excellent and very much a surprise. I guess I have gotten too used to mediocre.I highly recommend this place. I also recommend their turkey panini with pesto.Negative: My wife and I have been trying to visit every coffee shop in Austin and we try to purchase a coffee cup from each of them. The cups they sell here are really odd. Please upgrade to something a little nicer and I will be the first to buy one.

Love coming here. Its also a great time for my 6 year old son. They have board games and coloring books to slow down the pace and relax. Great music and conversations. (No handicap automatic doors)

Stopped by Illuminate while traveling to Austin for work. Absolutely the best coffee I have had in recent memory! Service was impeccable. I tried the “illuminate” and would recommend it for anyone looking for something sweet but not too sweet! I will be back on my next trip to Austin!

Great little shop with healthy options and good coffee. They have books, coloring books, magazines, and more to entertain you or your kids while enjoying their frozen yogurt bar or coffee and non-coffee menu. I liked that they have tables you can sit at, and also some by the window that are tall enough to stand at if you want to stand and read as you sip your latte. Also the comfortable chairs by the door are a bonus for just being able to relax. They have ice water and wifi so you can plan on staying awhile. The bathrooms are clean and they have tables with umbrellas for outdoor seating. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Clearly this is one of my favorite spots to spend the afternoon studying!

Great coffee for both the casual drinker and someone into craft drinks. Ive enjoyed attending live music shows and coffee education classes here, as well.Update: Awesome americanos. Thats a hard drink to get right as it can be way too bitter or also cloying.

Upon arriving to Caffe Yolly, I was very excited to try out any local coffee spots in Austin, Texas.Mara who greeted me at the cashier was very nice and welcoming with a great smile on her face. I ordered Coffee Butter (I didnt know coffee butter was a thing) Coffee Coconut Honey ( Mara recommendation) and a Dirty Chai (iced).The atmosphere was very nice and quiet while waiting for my ordered. After getting my order, the coffee coconut honey that Mara recommended was delicious and very tasteful.I was very satisfied with the whole process while being at Caffe Yolly and I will definitely come back once I come back to Austin since I live in Dallas.

This place has top notch flavor in the espresso beans. Damn. I get the coconut-honey like twice a week. Its the perfect level of caffeine as well. Just so tasty every time.

I just visited Illuminate for the first time, after ditching Starbucks (thanks to Howard Schultz). This place has a much better ambiance, good service, well lit, large seating space, and GREAT coffee! I especially loved the salted caramel coffee! This is going to be my new place to hang out.

I go in maybe once a week or so because its the closest to my workplace. It is consistently a regrettable decision. They coffee is okay, but the staff is always rude, uninterested, and has seemingly tried to avoid taking my order several times.I dont like leaving negative reviews but this place has just been too consistent with bad service for me to overlook it.

Been with this place since they opened. Near my work, Dive World Austin, and I love them. They know to put coffee THEN ice when making iced drinks, they always give a full portion. Make the best snacks, and I love the yogurt (both greek and frozen) bar. They really are the best!

Great new coffee spot in Northwest Austin. Went in today for a meeting. Grabbed a coffee and a Chicken Salad Sandwich which was very good. Definitely check this place out for your morning fuel, or even mid day for lunch. Have solid frozen yogurt selection as well.

Worst place to have coffee. My gf and I went in there this morning for some coffee and payed almost 8 dollars for warm and weak coffee. They offered no refund no making things right! We just gave them back their coffee and walked out. Never again will we come here and will defiantly make sure our friends, co-workers and family know how bad this place is! Any chance we get, we will inform everyone. Illuminate Coffee shop is the worst!

First and foremost: delicious coffee. i got an illuminate craft latte (a latte with coconut oil and honey) with almond milk at the recommendation of the barista. light and airy, nuanced flavors, and not too sweet. yummm. employees are friendly and hardworking. liked the atmosphere too - busy but with plenty of seating, great music, and cute design touches. will be coming back!

I often meet my wife here for a midday break from both of our jobs. The staff is nice and the drinks are good. All of the baristas are competent, but there are a couple that really nail the drinks. I wish I could give 4.5 stars, but Ill round up to 5. My only complaint is the seating isnt as comfy as I would like it to be, but thats just me being picky - the tables get the job done and the location is perfect for me.
