I strongly prefer local coffee shops while traveling instead of the franchised starstruck. The first morning we came and had a great experience, kind baritista and knowledgeable of their sacred trade. We sat out on the back patio and enjoyed the morning. Coming back the second and third time though, this experience was not replicated. Their times were clearly posted, and they were supposed to be open, but no one was there.
It’s a nice place with a view of Austin’s low, rolling hills outside. It faces East, so it would be a nice place to get your morning coffee and watch the sun rise, especially this time of year. They’d be open shortly before sunrise. They are attached to a restaurant named “The Grove”, which has a large, nice, floor-to-ceiling, bay-window type feature. They have a small selection on their menu. I had a bad first experience as the service was so slow. I ordered a Cortado coffee and got an Horchata instead. On the bright side, their pineapple upside-down cake was good.
The meals were delicious! Our server did an awesome job taking care of us! Great views of the hill country!
Great coffee but no more breakfast tacos on weekends :(
Run only from 7-11AM, M-F. Its business schedule on google is misleading and needs to be updated.
Why do people come here? Most of the chairs are uncomfortable, theres always a server thats new and doesnt know the menu well. And I made the mistake of getting a breakfast taco. I think they got frozen stuff and warmed them up.
Wonderful place to get some coffee and chat. Beautiful views from the patio.
Very enjoyable coffee lounge for casual meet-ups, Lola Savannah Lakeway is a neighborhood coffee and wine lounge adjoined to the Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen. Their coffee beans are imported and roasted by Lola Savannah Coffee Company in Houston, Texas. The vibe is relaxed but sophisticated with excellent views overlooking the Austin Area Hill Country. This makes Lola an ideal spot for a relaxing latte while perusing the morning online news, a business meeting over a biscotti or casual meet-ups with friends and family. The ambiance will charm you and the quality of their coffee and friendly service will keep you coming back.
The best thing about this local spot is the comfy booth seats; much better than the hard wood or metal chairs normally found in coffee shops. The seats have power outlets and a gorgeous hill country view.Food and service are meh. Deck is nice and has a perfect view, although the chairs and tables out there are less than ideal.
I love the name of this coffee shop. Their coffee is very delicious. This is a great location. I love their coffee.
Beautiful location and views.Coffee drinks were blah. 😝😜We paid for the view.🏞😎😻Probably would go back for lunch or dinner to try that part.
My favorite place to work in the entire city! Amazing coffee, effective atmosphere and killer wifi! Plus, its connected to The Grove Wine Bar, if you need to roll the work day into happy hour.
Dark and scary early in the morning...no lights 😜I do like their drip and their espresso, so Im a fan. The staff is also friendly and knowledgeable. I chatted with the barrista at the other location and got all kinds of good detail about their coffee and processes. At this location, I only had their drip. Parking lot would be more bike friendly if it was graded 😳
Nice cafe mocha and caramel latte. The outdoor deck is nice if its not too hot but seating there is limited.Inside is the laptop and iPad Zone for early morning entrepreneurs to get their coffee and emailing done.
The people here are always very friendly. They have a selection of breakfast tacos but it runs out fast. Once they are gone theyre gone. On the bright side, after 12 if they have any left they drop the price to one dollar. Their coffee is just so so. Overall very nice place.
Excellent coffee and very kind even though my little accidentally broke a plate. 🤦
Great coffee and the most beautiful views of the Hill country!! I love coming here to catch up on work or enjoy a book!
1st time visitor. Great coffee and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Great coffee and AMAZING breakfast tacos. If theyre available... GET THEM!
Cute and has a view. Got a coupon for 2 free coffees/2pastries since I am new to the area. Employees seemed not particularly thrilled to be working...which I get...working a ton in customer service... They were going to take away my coupon even though I only bought one coffee/pastry. But figured out how I could still be honored for the full amount. Pastry was cold and stale. Coffee (Con panna- double espresso with whip) was decent. Ill give it another chance since I have the coupon.. but Ill probably skip the pastry. They do seem like they have decent breakfast options (pre made).
Alex is a great barista and the other people there are good too. The people make the place what it is.
Apps are the bomb. Meals are prepared well. Would give 5 stars but a bit skimpy on the wine pours.... above the belly of the glass is a must. Great servers as well.
Very cozy atmosphere even on a busy weekday. The drinks exceeded my expectations and we got our order within 5 minutes. Baristas were very friendly. Will most definitely visit one of the three locations again soon!
Spent 4 hours a day for several months writing a novel here. I definitely drew inspiration from the people, the place, and the vibe. Great coffee, great tacos, great atmosphere, but . . . that VIEW!!
I come here about three times a week to get my Americano sweetened with honey. Staff is always friendly and the music played is just perfect enough when you need to get work done or meeting with a client.
Delicious coffee, scenic views and a very relaxing atmosphere. Not to mention the pastries and breakfast tacos were tasty too.
Nice atmosphere and pretty view in Laneway. Great coffee too! Best baristas for knowing coffee blends and flavors!
Good coffee. Good service. Great view.
We were a little disappointed with this place. Half of the things we tries to order they were out of and when we recieved our order it was wrong. Cool view and back patio but would not recommend the coffee and would caution about the flippant service.
Very disappointing food selection (2 items only). Mediocre food. Coffee was just OK. Service was poor, unfriendly. Didnt bother calling out when our coffee was ready. Wont go back.
Wow - the best hill country views, just breathtaking. The food is good, although the wait time may easily be over an hour.
Absolutely love this place! Astounding view. High quality coffee. Good service.
They have wonderful coffee, bruschetta and pizza here. Happy hour is till 6:30 and a good time to sample the items for $8
Love sitting on the back patio with the views. Good staff and selections.
About the only place on the far west side that tries to take coffee seriously. Unfortunately, they struggle with barrista quality. Also the only work/lounge coffee shop for miles so lots of desperate people go here. But it leaves A LOT to be desired. Nice view, not particularly comfortable, the edibles can only be described as weak (possibly due to not wanting to compete with The Grove next door but, more likely, some misguided attempt at cost control). In short: great location, good intentions, poor execution - but go there anyway cause what choice do you have?2018 update: Cmon guys, are you even trying? You now have 2 quality coffee options in Bee Cave - noticing the drop in patrons yet?
Great view over the hill country! Oh, and they serve great coffee.
Nice view. Very good coffee and food.
Favorite place to set up and get work done. Service is really good.
Great coffee place where you can get good food and of course free WIFI! :)
I completely love their Mocha! Oh and dont forget to check out the view in the back... it is astonishing!
Stopped by on a bike ride with my wife. Barista was not friendly and made my drink (cortado) wrong. They have a very pretty view out the back but had all the chairs stacked and pushed to the side. The barista offered to pull a couple of chairs for us but after he made our drinks he simply watched us walk outside and pull our own chairs and table (not anyone else in line so cant use business as excuse). To top it off, there is an adjoining wine bar you have to walk through to get to the restroom. The host who was flirting with a female customer at the time snickered to her as I walked by in my cycling clothing. I will not be back for their sub-par coffee or Lakeway snob attitude.
Great coffee! Great views!
Breathtaking views from outdoor patio, good iced tea and wifi.
A very warm and inviting place to relax with a cup of coffee
Nice view, good coffee and hospitable staff .. Thank you :)
Sydney Style Coffee Snob Review:Great service but the barista didnt know what a cortado (piccolo) was, got a macciatto in an 8oz cup. Was OK. Beautiful view.
Coffee is mediocre, business is a half-assed cafe for upper middle-class WASPs with time to waste. Employees seem to be treated poorly by customers and employer. BOO.
Very chill morning spot.
This place has a beautiful view off the back patio
Good coffee, beautiful view.
Never been
Very good coffee and splendid view!
Great cappuccino. Pretty skies.
A bit noisy, music is too loud. Difficult to converse with associates
Solid coffee good space
Great coffee and phenomenal breakfast tacos.
Baristas are all amazing people!
Great breakfast tacos and views
The view is great, but the back is dirty and the service is subpar. They just depend on the view to pull them through.
Great place for business meeting.
Good place to visit!
Good coffe and beautiful views
Great coffee and good people.
This place just seems to keep goin down hill. Sure management doesnt care if the employees are always late. Such a big disappointment lately
Great view, mediocre breakfast coffee

Dirty tables....makes this place uncomfortable.
A bit rude
