I want to be able to support local but the quality of your food is unacceptable. Ive had better sandwhiches at a 7/11. The manager claimed that their sandwhiches are made fresh daily but there is no way lettuce wilts this badly after one day. They made it right by refunding me but thats the only reason they get 2 stars. They offered to make a replacement meal which was nice but I simply dont trust their food after this experience. Coffee was good and Im sure the fresh goods in the bakery are probably decent just dont come here for sandwhiches.
Simply an incredible bakery with amazing cakes, cookies, cupcakes, scones, croissants, and to-go salads and sandwiches. The coffee is strong and mighty. Everything is delicious! Theres nothing better than popping in for some chocolate (or peach, or pumpkin spice) indulgence, then grabbing a Cobb salad from the cooler - for a balanced diet. And the club sandwich comes with this crazy delicious honey mustard! But come for the treats...
Love this bakery and how much they support the community. If you love cake, do yourself a favor and order the Saturday Cake Sample box. It includes 6 different flavors to share ( or not :) ). The online ordering process is super easy and the staff is very efficient and friendly. Thanks for being awesome!!!!
Ruined my experience. My daughter and I were told we couldn’t be served because we didn’t have face mask and they didn’t have any to provide for us. Not sure I’ll try again.
Love this local bakery so much. Im not a baker, but I can still provide my family with special and delicious treats from Crema. Ive purchased birthday cakes, everyday treats and pies for Thanksgiving. At Christmas my family loves their goodies like their peppermint chocolate cheese cake and gingerbread house kits. Crema is good people. They love Austin and give so much to the community.
I cant believe it took me so long to write this review. But I absolutely LOVE Crema. I had the absolute pleasure of working with them for a wedding a couple years ago at the Sanctuary. It was my first time working with them so they boxed me up a little sample platter of treats and included a kind little note. That really stuck with me and I appreciated it so much. Everything in that box was phenomenal. I especially loved the peach macarons.I refer Crema to all my couples and cant wait to work with them again.
Went in with high expectations from previous reviews and then the look. However, the cookies were dry and lacked taste. The price they were charging was outrageous. The cookies at H‑E‑B are better (not saying much). There are many better bakeries around town. Don’t waste your time going here. Was very disappointed.
I liked this place pre- pandemic, and hadn’t been back since. I tried it today, because I remembered the book corner and wanted to take my 2 year old. This place is a war zone. I’ve not been anywhere that is in this state at this point. The baked goods are average, nothing special. I won’t go back, that’s for sure. So many other businesses want to make us feel special, this place couldn’t care less. They are blatantly using floor space for storage, with boxes pushed against they walls of the restaurant- does not look professional, or like they even care about the how the customers feel. What I really don’t understand, is instead of spacing tables inside to be socially distanced, they have three tables outside (not socially distanced), how are they trying to validate that? It’s pitiful that they are not trying to compete, atmospherically or with the food. We are still in a pandemic but there are literally HUNDREDS of places in Austin that do a better job, pandemic included- no question! If you’re in the neighborhood, go ahead and try, but be prepared to have your expectations unmet. 👎🏻
We ordered two chai lattes and both of them were watered down and they did not have any flavor at all. I ordered my daughter a hot chocolate and she wont even drink, didnt taste of chocolate at all, just water.
Crema is my favorite bakery in all of Austin! The blueberry scones and brownies are to die for and I have not been able to find any other bakery that nails the soft, chewy textures of their baked goods. Can’t wait to try their cheesecakes and cupcakes next!
Got a Hazelnut latte and tried the almond croissant, gaaaah damn.. almond croissant was great but the coffee was the best part. Stopped by cause it was close to a job I was headed to, will stop by again for another perfect cup of Jo.
I picked up some cookies with my children the other day. The cookies tasted dry and stale. The person was rude to us and we felt rushed out the door. I’m not sure if we will give it another go. Sad because this place was recommended. Customers should always feel wanted. We did not
Crema made a fabulous 40th birthday cake for me! It tasted just as I’d hoped it would and was beautifully decorated. (We added the “forty” sign and candles, of course.) They were so kind, thoughtful, and fun in my brief interactions of ordering on the phone and picking up. I can’t wait for the next occasion so I can order from them again.
Such a cute bakery with even cuter treats! This is my favorite place to stop when Im craving something sweet. They also have very good breakfast options. This is also a good place to stop if you need gluten free or vegan options. Some of the cupcakes are a little too sweet for me, but they really do have something for everyone.
Great bakery for a coffee break, sandwich or meeting with friends or business associates. A tasty selection of snacks and food to enjoy. Support you local business or we might not have a local business to support.
Crema did the desserts for our wedding. They were profesional, yet personable. They were detailed and considerate. They were communicative and flexible. We never felt they were trying to get money out of us. They quoted us options and made recommendations, but let us choose what was best for us.We did two in-person meetings, each with tastings at their bakery shop. Each time we felt welcomed and it’s become a treat (pun intended) to visit them even after the wedding was said and done.We did a “non-traditional” wedding dessert table filled with macarons and cake balls. They took care of the setup and delivery, ensuring a beautiful display which can seen in the photos. Jessica topped it off with a small complimentary cake to cut.Regarding prices, their price was just right. Not too expensive or too cheap. And they adjusted the numbers to fit our budget.I highly recommend them for your next event, or just to stop by their shop for some delicious coffee/breakfast.Photos by our photographer, Britt Crowe.
Absolutely horrible. The pistachio croissant might have been good if it wasnt stale and the quiche had a thick dry pie crust not even remotely closeto a traditional flaky quiche crust. Inside mounds of that disturbing crust was a tiny bit of egg and cheese filling. I am new to Austin and went there on a website recommendation, wont see me again.
During the pandemic weve made an effort to support local businesses and today picked Crema for lunch. After placing my online order I received a call saying they were out of the mini apple pie and what would we like to replace it with. I got a second call, asking the same question. About 10 minutes later, I was waiting in the parking lot, I decided to go inside and check on my order. The woman inside said it would be a few more minutes on my sandwich. She then brings the order to me in the parking lot. We get home, no dressing with my Cobb salad. I call to ask about it (maybe pre-mixed) and the lady said it should be in a separate container, it is not. She asked if were still there, obviously not. She then just says sorry about that I said thats great but youre not doing anything to make it better. I realize she cant comp my entire $8.50 salad but she can comp one of the 2 desserts I purchased. Or offer us something to come back, but she offered us nothing but a sorry. I love supporting small businesses but we will not be returning. They should try to be more customer focused when they make the mistake. Sandwich was skinny, lots of bread. Potato salad was tasteful, but not worth returning for.
Recently had crema bakery at a wedding I photographed, and omg!!! Their treat are amazing! Like mouth watering, still thinking about those lemon bars and macaroons 3 months later good!! Will be hiring for our wedding day treats for sure! Love this place!
Ive been meaning to stop here and Im so so so glad I did. I love bakeries and its not everyday I can choose between multiple gluten free offerings. The available macaroons were banana with chocolate creme, rose with rose creme, and vanilla with orange creme. I bought all three and couldnt eat them fast enough. The rose macaroon was possibly the best Ive had in my entire life but the flavors and flavor combos of each was out of this world. Perfect consistency, perfect ration of macaroon and filling. Crisp, but soft in all the right places. (I think I might go grab a few for breakfast). The chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting was delicious but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I hadnt just had three huge amazing macaroons immediately prior. My capuccino was exactly what I needed to finally feel awake mid-afternoon.Customer service was excellent, decor and the space in general was inviting and cute/comfortable. I cant wait to come back and try some of the other menu items.
I love this bakery! Their red velvet cupcake/cake is my favorite, they have delicious sandwiches, and its staffed and run by kind, hardworking people who care about their local community.
I love this place. My god, the veggie sausage croissant sandwich is the thing of breakfast dreams. And the almond croissant. Everything I’ve had there - the cupcakes, breakfast pastries, whatever - have been absolute perfection. ❤️❤️❤️
Very nice bakery, from lemon bars to a variety of cupcakes. Great tasting treats! Its a regular for me. Sandwiches too. 5/15/2021,no indoor seating. Hopefully will return soon!
Amazing variety of items on menu, in bakery case, and to drink! Try the caramel lavendar latte next time! Its amazing. Gorgeous little confections. If youre looking for a hearty brunch special on the weekend this is the place to be! Coffee and scones 😍 cookies, brownies,XL stuffed macrons, theyve got it all!
Amazing food and amazing people running this place. They provided pantry staples and vegetables to our community during the freeze and covid when so many were in need.
Went for a cake tasting pick up for a wedding cake a while back when covid restrictions were beginning to ease up. We loved the cake and wanted to place our order with them, but we could not get a reply from anyone even after multiple emails to the contact they directed us to for our custom order. Went in-store to check in with a manager a couple of times and were told they were not on site at the time but a staff member would relay our message. Ultimately we were not able to get any sort of reply from crema about this order and had to go elsewhere for our wedding cake which was a shame because we really did enjoy their options. I hope they have improved their communication with customers since then.
This people and food here are amazing! One of top fav breakfast spots in the city. 🔥
YUM! The almond croissants are as big as your face and by far the best in town.
These people care about their community. They were giving away food to those in need because of the storm. The line was extremely long!!! They gave this lady 2 gallons of milk plus a box full of food with lots of chicken. She had a huge family! 6 adults and 3 kids!! I truly hope they raise enough money for their second location. I love their menu. I will be supporting them every time I get the chance to :)
Not only are there baked goods wonderful. The owners show up for the community .Who can forget the tables of produce, water and essentials they set up last February for those in need !!! class act they are
Stopped to pick up desert for an early dinner. Presentation looks good but the finish and taste lacks. We were all very disappointed. Some choices were raw, others choices did not taste good and other choices seem to be old. Quality control is highly recommended before placing items out to sell.
I like the place in the dining experience. Its right place to go for lunch during the work day. The chicken salad was good and had a Zing of Louisiana in it. He was starred with chips and pickles she was perfect. Since it was my birthday I bought myself fantastic strawberry filled cupcake worthy for pictures.
Cupcake triumph. The Crema team was incredibly sweet and generous for our modest order. Really appreciated being able to order a half n half dozen Went with strawberry buttercream and white cake on one side and smores on the other. The strawberry was perfect for the lovers of the classics, whilr the smore was the icing lovers dream. Thank you Crema, we were struggling with ways to make turning 12 special. Nailed it!
I just had the most disgusting club sandwich of my life. I wish I were joking. All of the meat tasted and felt really old, and the lettuce looks like it’s been sitting in an open container for a week. They also got part of my order wrong. Nasty
This is an unfortunate thing but this place has lowered their customer service and also the food quality. My family and I ordered from here the other day and it was not good. The french toast ordered was burnt and the croissant were dry and cold when given to me. This place used to be good but not anymore. Would not recommend this place.
Bakery items are all to die for! Brunch was great but I wouldnt recommend the tacos they were decent at best. If youre coming here I recommend the more bakery side of food. Order over the phone and picked up my order was wrong instead of correcting the order they decided to just add a few extra tacos to make up for the mistake. Also, ordered a pie for Thanksgiving it really was worth the price and no hassle.
I popped in on an early and rainy morning just to get a drip coffee. I loved the ambiance and the artwork. It looked as though they allowed people to work in the area as long as masks were on, but when I walked around many people were mask-less. Perhaps they had drinks or something, Im unsure. The case was full when I went in and many things looked appealing, but I ended up getting a breakfast taco. It was very delicious, as was the coffee. There were a lot of local artists wares for sale, but I also didnt buy any of that stuff. The only bad thing about getting coffee during COVID-19 is telling the barista how much sugar I like. Still, the customer service was wonderful, and even though there was a small line when I got there, I think most of my waiting time was spent looking at all the amazing art work and the little library in the dining area. Id definitely go back, if for nothing else but to get a bag of beans for home.
I am BEYOND pleased with this cake. I called them yesterday, asking if a dairy & gluten free cake was even possible for my brother-in-laws 50th birthday . . . and this is what they created. It is DELICIOUS & PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!!! It was a HUGE success and I will definitely be coming back for future orders. Thank you so so much!!!
Such a bummer. I’ve ordered from here a few times and have been disappointed each time. I try hard to support local businesses so I wanted to give Crema one more try and ordered breakfast for pickup. I also dislike leaving negative reviews for small businesses but hopefully the feedback will be taken to heart.Pros: Online ordering was simple and easy. Food was ready at the time indicated by the online pickup system. The scones were delicious.Cons: Upon arrival, though they still have their curbside signs out, note that texting and waiting as the signs instruct will just waste your time as they’re not doing curbside. The lattes we ordered were not filled up, one tasted like nothing more than a cup of hot milk (it was meant to be a mocha). The breakfast tacos were mediocre at best, bland at the worst. If you order to have cheese added, they put it on the side for some reason so now your bland taco has cold shredded cheese on top. 🤷🏼♀️
Long time costumer now no longer a customer. They should stick to coffee and leave their personal political views out of the bakery.
We’ve come here 4 times now because we wanted to give them a chance. The upside is the baked goods, they are pretty good.Crema would benefit from having a professional come and train the staff on coffee. My order has been wrong twice, and then today I ordered a cold brew & it tasted of nail polish remover. I had my husband try it and he said the same thing. That’s hard to get past, it leads me to believe something has not been cleaned properly. I want them to succeed, so I hope they’re able to make some changes.
This review is only for cupcakes. I live very close and stopped yesterday to see what this store offered. Id love to find a place that our family could rely on for cakes and pastries for special occassions. I purchased a red velvet cupcake, a salted caramel cupcake, and a cookie dough cupcake. All 3 left something to be desired. The salted caramel cupcake was extremely dense, the cake itself was not light and the butter cream frosting was absolutely solid. The red velvet cupcake had what I would presume to be cream cheese frosting, but it had a tangy, almost sour cream, kind of taste to it which is not what I expect. The cookie dough cupcake was a plain vanilla cupcake which was again extremely dense with just a glob of cookie dough on top that did not really add anything to it. Im sure Ill go back and try the scones or croissants which I see are highly rated here, but Im going to pass on the cupcakes in the future.
We love Crema so much 😭🥰😭🥰 just got the Brie + jam croissants and now I wish we ordered twice as much. They are so good. Please keep these on the menu forever. Also, drinking the best flat white I’ve ever had! Crema is the best!
Ive had several things at Crema over the past months and would for sure recommend most items. The stuffed croissants (almond, chocolate, ham & cheese, etc.) are so delicious. Theyre light on the meat (which I like), so if youre expecting something else just be aware. This morning I had a spinach and feta scone and it was incredible. You could see the flakes and specks of butter. Family meals are also good, and their coffee drinks are very well executed. The only thing Ive had I dont like are the cupcakes- weve tried those a few times and theyve always been a bit dry.
The kindest staff, quick service, delicious croissant sandwiches and coffee. Crema always gives back to the South Austin community and takes care of its staff and is an exemplary small business. Will return often :)
I don’t usually write reviews, but I will on this occasion. I was trying to support a local small business but will not return to Crema. I placed an online order for a cold brew with coconut milk and Splenda—relatively simple order. The system said I could pick up about 12 mins after I placed the order.I arrived a minute or two after the designated pickup time, and saw nothing on their pickup table. I was never greeted, just stood there for a few minutes until a worker finally said that another lady and I would have to queue outside because only 4 customers at a time were allowed in the store. Fine. The lady and I stepped outside, and I looked through the window to see if my overdue coffee was headed for the pickup table. It was not. Since the lady I was waiting with outside had not yet placed her order, I told her to go inside the store before me when one customer exited the store. When I got the chance to go in the store again, I was once again not greeted or acknowledged. Also, tell me why the woman who I had been waiting with outside, who placed her order in-store (coffee and pastry) got her order and left before I did?!?!?!?! (I would also like to point out that the store was not overwhelmingly busy or crowded at any point.)Finally, I piped up and said that I had placed an order online and the pickup time was ten minutes before (not to mention the 12 mins that I was told to wait before my order would be ready according to the online platform). The person at the cash register had no idea what I was waiting for and had some other person make my drink. The employee awareness deserves one star. People are not inclined to return if customer service is not intact and the employees are awkward or rude. It took 30 minutes to be served a pour-and-go drink. It’s interesting that there are similar reviews. For the sake of the health of the business, perhaps some revisions need to be made.
These folks sell stale cupcakes. I ordered a half dozen for my daughters college graduation party ($22 for 6 cupcakes). First of all, they werent even ready when I arrived. Secondly, the cupcakes were inedible - hard, dry, crumbly. For $3/$3.50 per cupcake, I expect them to be fresh. I reached out to Crema to voice my complaint and never heard back. More like Crema Two-Day-Old Bakery & Cafe.Update: I received a full refund for my order so that was nice. One star added for that.
Love this local joint. They are super sweet and are involved in the community. They donate free sack lunches to people in need. Not only that, but they have some damn delicious food. Service has been a tad less reliable lately since the pandemic, but they always deliver on quality. 🙌 There are so few good local coffee places in the area and this is near the top of my list.
Ive been working near Crema for a little over 2 years now. For the most part their food has always been good but they have always been a little inconsistent with the quality. Last year I would order the same sandwich a couple of times a week. This year I went vegan and have been getting breakfast tacos from them a couple of times a week. I just looked at their menu after they had re-vamped it and realized that I can no longer eat their due to them removing the things I could eat off the menu. Thats extremely disappointing to me so unfortunately, I will no longer be eating here.I have also had issues in the past with just rudeness with employees. There were weeks where I am basically there every day and I dont think anything is owed to me but even at 8am, tones need to be checked. For the most part they have a great team. My main issue is with one of the owners because of an interaction I had with them once. I get people have bad days so Ill give them the benefit of the doubt but I definitely did not forget it.
Love the chocolate chip cookies and just had their key lime pie for the first time. The crust was a bit crumbly, but I did hear that the crust has been better in the past according to a friend whos a a fellow restaurant owner in the area. I understand due to the current pandemic things are a little haywire operationally at restaurants, bakeries, etc. So, dont hold that against Crema and give them a try if you havent. Their baked goods are tasty!
I always have a wonderful experience at Crema Bakery. Their avocado toast is the best Ive ever tasted! Their cheesecakes are amazing! I cannot recommend this space enough :)
Food = 5 out of 10. Customer service =0.5 out of 10.
Great breakfast! Got some cupcakes and cookies yesterday. They were on point.Editing my review:Last couple of experiences have been bad. Two straight online orders were wrong. Forgot the egg on an egg sandwich. They were accommodating and apologized.Today ordered a brie cheese and strawberry jam croissant and there was zero filling. I drove back. No apology. Replaced it but two times in a row? Finally, they have a new menu. Took removed the TBH and breakfast egg sandwich. Maybe I was the only one that ordered those, but I thought they were the best around.
Coffee was good. Ordered breakfast tacos. Got a number. Wasn’t sure if I was supposed to go get my food, wait to hear my name or if they would find me. After 20 minutes I went on a hunt for my tacos. A kid found me. The Tacos were sooooo goood. Just be patient if you go here. They go at their own “Austin Pace”. I would recommend this place.
Good desserts, coffee, and sandwiches. They are a bit too slow if you just walk in. Make sure to preorder online.
My family and I love this place! We go for breakfast regularly. The buttermilk pancakes and chicken sausage are my favorite. The atmosphere is calm and the staff is always friendly. We also purchase my son’s birthday cakes/cupcakes from Crema every year. Highly recommend!
Girl in the blue hair was extremely rude. The sausage and cheese croissant had a piece of sausage about an inch and a half long and an inch wide. Found an eggshell in my sausage egg and cheese sandwich.
I make it a point to try every place I can that sells cupcakes (I love them so much) and I was excited to try Crema but boy was I disappointed. First thing on a Saturday morning I bought 6 different flavors (almost $20 worth of cupcakes) and the most I could stand was to take 1 bite of each. The cakes were dry and the icing was bland and flavorless. Cute atmosphere and good service but do not go here for cupcakes...
Moved to this side of town and tried this gem today. The service was wonderful! The food was so fresh and delicious! The French Toast is to die for! Cant wait to eat there again soon! Support local! This place is worth it!
1st time there...breakfast tacos w/black beans, avocado🥑, egg🐣, cheese, mushrooms 🍄..YUMMY fresh!Coffee nice and hot.☕
Yeah yeah, the food is good quality, but thats not why we are here today. As my wife and I sat enjoying some new egg dish, she directed me to notice a woman standing in the order line who had some REALLY pumped up lips. These things were so big they cast a strange shadow about the room. She eventually sat by the door and it was like a strobe light. Woah, man.
Super friendly staff. The lunch we ordered was amazing.
I love that this place is unassuming yet unique in this part of Southwest Austin. According to their website theyve been in business several years and Ive been going there for at least 18 months. Its got macaroons, cake pops, and beautiful iced cookies among other things. I loved the cookies even though I typically dont care that much for iced cookies. My favorite thing to get there is the lemon bars. Theyre big and tart and so delicious.
Incredibly rude staff
Was really disappointed because I wanted to try this place for months now and had convinced my family to go check it out with me. Waited over an hour for food with not even an apology. No one greeted us to begin with or came to check on us at any point. My husband tried to flag a server down about 5 times before he had to get up and just go to the counter. When we finally got our food my omelette still wasnt ready. I tipped generously in the beginning when paying and now wish I hadnt. Pancake tasted doughy and my husbands tortillas were hard.09/15 update: I have since changed the rating due to the fast response and sincere apology from the owner. They also were generous enough to offer a full refund. I understand things may have been more hectic than usual this day and will consider it an off day experience.
This is my go to spot for coffee and breakfast in south Austin. The staff is as sweet as the bakery goods in the case! The pancakes are a must. For an indulgent breakfast I recommend a Benedict or their weekly specials. On the go, I grab a breakfast taco and a cowboy cookie. This is a staple in south Austin with friendly staff, enjoyable ambiance, and consistently delicious food.
I honest didn’t think the cupcakes tasted good. The icing was good but the cake park was just bad.Rather than leaving 1 star, I left 3 since they’re a local business. For nearly $3 each, I certainly wouldn’t return.
Irrefutably the best bakery/cafe in south Austin. The team is really great and their pastries & sweets are top tier. The environment is really cute and the entire shop has an uplifting atmosphere. Its just good vibes and great food & coffee.
Service was slow and not friendly. Macarons were crunchy and overcooked. I went to support them because I heard they were going through hard times with covid. Don’t think I’ll ever go back.
I had a delicious muffin and coffee from Crema, along with some of their baking flour! The curbside process was very smooth and easy to follow and the food was delicious.
Meh. Slow service. Ordered a Cobb salad and somehow they forgot both bacon and cheese, and the lettuce wasn’t even cut, just like five giant leaves with a quartered tomato and couple slices of red onion. Fast food salads are better. Someone should introduce the manager to Windex, could do this grungy little place wonders.
Everyone should try this place!A really nice neighborhood place where the coffee is always good and the folks there actually do get to know you by name. I travel out of my way and pass at least two Starbucks to get their coffee in the morning.Their pastries are gorgeous!I have called ahead to have a coffee traveler put together and a box of cookies to bring to my presentations and into my meetings which always get things off on the right start.I have had both breakfast and lunch there and have never been let down my the quality and the portions are always generous. This will become your new favorite little place!
The Best store for Delivery with Favor, Fast service in Curbside, orders with correctly Packaged, Callcenter with an excellent support, With comfortable parking lots in Brodie Ln,This store do make great Austin Texas ...
When its good, its very, very good; when its bad, well Im extremely disappointed. 3 stars because I love the breakfast menu and the coffee is fine. Problem is only 1 out of 4 times have my eggs come out the way I ordered. I like Eggs Benedict and the croissant sandwich (yum!) with the yolk soft and runny, it tastes bad with hard, overcooked eggs and sometimes burned croissants. In this take-out world we live in and even when dining in, it is too time consuming to take the food back and wait another 40 minutes to an hour to wait to get it right. Im often just too hungry in the morning.
My husband decided to surprise me my daughters and I with cupcakes the other day. My seven year old hated her cupcake and she is not the most discerning critic of sweets. I tried her red velvet cupcake the frosting wasn’t frosting it was a glob of slightly sweetened cream cheese and the cake was dry. I moved on to a different cupcake hoping it was better. The chocolate frosting was disgusting, yes disgusting. My older daughter described it as grease with a touch of chocolate. The cake was dry and nondescript. I can’t imagine anyone buying cupcakes a second time from this bakery.I know I sound extraordinarily negative. At first I wasn’t going to bother writing a review. Then my husband told me how much he spent on these cupcakes. They were small, horrible and $3.00 a piece. I literally threw $20.00 into the garbage.
These ppl are amazing! Please support their small business. They have been helping everyone in need during the COVID19 outbreak started. Theyre giving FREE lunches daily for everyone. Friendly staff and great food.
Love this place! They have the best breakfast and brunch! Their bakery is also really yummy! They keep getting new flavors of cupcakes (which is awesome) and their selections are not too shabby. We love to come here for breakfast, then grab a yummy cupcake on our way out.
Perfect place for breakfast. Beautiful variety of menu items and baked goods. Great service, atmosphere, and food is excellent. I can wholeheartedly recommend the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake for a rich, chocolatey, I-deserve-this experience.
Major Mothers Day FailI placed my order online a week ago. After I picked up my food this morning and got home I realized they did not give me the entree we ordered. After texting and calling multiple times without a response I finally got back in the car and drove back to Crema. Finally was able to talk to someone f-f and gave back the incorrect entree and finally they said they would refund but couldnt provide a receipt and they would only refund the entree... not the whole order ... it was the entire brunch that was ruined at that point if you ask me. Oh well .... maybe they had too much business on Mothers day and we were the unfortunate recipient of a bunch of mistakes :).
Food and coffee have always been on point. Staff not so much. Just stopped by for a slice of their quiche (always been a favorite,) and was informed that they had some, but I couldnt have as they dont serve brunch after 2pm. 2 people in the entire restaurant and its 2:15...come on Crema, you guys can do better than that. I understand you have a policy, but youre virtually empty and have someone wanting to spend money. I walked next door and had lunch with your neighbors.
We’ve been to Crema on special occasions. On Valentine’s Day, they had absolutely beautiful and delicious cupcakes.,They really were wonderful and it made our Valentines even more special. Friendly staff, yummy food, great atmosphere. So glad to have them in the neighborhood!
They are a great lunch spot. Atmosphere is light and positive. Fantastic deserts and pretty inexpensive. You get a cake ball w the lunch special! For $10!
Had a perfectly fine time here on Friday. Saturday within 30 seconds of opening my laptop I was told You have 30 minutes before youll need to move so people can eat at the tables. Then the manager went and told an employee to make a bigger 30 minute sign. This policy is posted clearly by the wifi password and I can read.Southern hospitality at its finest /sThey poured my coffee in a to go cup and I left. Enjoy your empty table.
It was not worth your money
This is my go to spot for brunch on the weekend. They have gluten free options which I love, the gluten free blueberry muffins and chocolate cupcakes are my favorite! The owners are the absolute cutest. They have great coffee and pastries. We often eat there but occasionally take our food home if they are packed. Great family establishment!
Just left Crema: The entire place was dirty and tables weren’t bussed. Coffees were tasteless and too hot, pastries were completely dry, food took 40-minutes to come out (arriving at completely different times to our table of five) + one order was wrong and did not arrive for another 22-minutes, at which point we had already asked for a refund because all others were finished eating. Manager refunded but was unapologetic and seemed to have no sense of pride in the place. Multiple tables around us had a similar experience. I understand it’s Labor Day and they may have been busier than expected but each thing added up to a really negative experience. Will not be back and hope this review warns others off as well.
My husband and I went to Crema for breakfast. We waited about 20-30min for our food, which seemed like a long time for it being ordered right before the rush arrived. Small restaurants like that can get a very high volume fast and the staff is so limited that it can overwhelm the kitchen so I attempt to be understanding of that. When we finally got it,I was very delighted that my croissant and breakfast taco tasted great. My husband ordered an omlette--only it looked as though the square of swiss cheese had been thrown in there right before it went to our table. He kinda hoped it had been melted☹️ But oh well🤷--it wasnt exactly the end of the world! After breakfast we stood in front of the register to order some desserts to go but the counter staff were very tied up so we left🙁 The reviews are true, they do get quite busy. But i had not given up that easily!☺️ So we did return a few days later with our son to grab some dessert. We grabbed cupcakes and cheesecakes. The cakes were very soft and the frosting tasted very homemade and delicious. They have a very good selection of desserts and coffees. Overall, a very cute place with wonderful food and desserts.
Just OK, good for a quick breakfast/brunch/lunch on the go. Atmosphere is pedestrian, and the employees not so well trained, but pleasant. Could be cleaner.
Pastries and coffees are always fresh. Sometimes a small wait, but worth it. Free refills on my coffee will definitely keep me as a satisfied customer.
I want to try other pastries before i rate it higher. What i had was good, the cupcakes looked very yummy. Coffee was good. The only thing keeping this review from getting 4 stars was because they seemed to not have enough staff for how busy they were, so service was not the best.
I really wanted to like this place more. But the staff was rude and blamed me when they messed up my order. The food wasnt up to my expectation, but it was edible
Fabulous place. Green eggs and ham omelette was packed w great stuff. Luv the Gruyere cheese on it. Coffee is very good. Staff is friendly. Glad I live close by. Will be back.
