I wish I could give zero stars. This place is absolutely terrible. The customer service is nonexistent. I waited 36 minutes. And watched four people who ordered after me have their order fulfilled before mine. When I asked them, they said they havent even started my order. Neither of the workers would even talk to me or give me an explanation. The customer service here is terrible. I cant even speak on the food because I waited 30 minutes and couldnt even get my order. on top of it all The workers were not even apologetic. They didnt care the slightest bit.
This place is great for bingsu the snow icecream and all the other desserts they have is great. They have variety of good flavors for bubble tea.The quantity is really good.I also liked the small rice cakes in the icecream.Overall a good place to try out Asian desserts. The service is quick and place is clean and well maintained.
I’ve never had anything like Bingsu (snow ice cream)! So freaking delicious!! The snow ice cream is honestly hard to describe. Delicious flavor, melts in your mouth, easy to eat, and not heavy on the stomach. I got the chocolate (brownie chunks with coco powder) and my partner got the green tea and both were amazing!!
The staff was friendly and nice. The decorations are so cute. I love the set up. I ordered the red bean fish shaped croissant. The croissant itself was so delicious but I wasn’t a huge fan of the red bean filling. Next time I’d probably try a different filling or order a plain. I also ordered the green tea shaved ice. I was really disappointed because I paid $5 for a small quantity AND the shaved ice didn’t taste good. It had strange distinct taste and it didn’t taste like matcha to me. In the future I’d definitely try a different shaved ice flavor. The only reason I’m giving such a high rating is because the fish croissant was super delicious.
I went with my sister, our first time here. I got a small strawberry bingsu, a pork belly rice ball, and a taro boba tea. My sister got a spicy tuna rice ball, cheesecake bingsu, and a nutella taiyaki. We love the snow texture. Mine tasted like strawberry milk and was mildly sweet. Perfect. Hers was overly sweet because she didnt know the sweetened condensed milk was in all of them and not just a topping. The taiyaki was light, buttery, and crispy. Very enjoyable. The rice balls were nice. I especially liked the pork belly flavour. As a whole, it was nice. The taro boba tea was wonderful. The flavour was perfect. I havent had taro that tasty in a while.I will definitely be returning. :)
Clean and amazing place. The matcha ice cream is really great and tasty.
Server Kimberly is great! She is a great cook and cashier and handles her job well. The watermelon Bingsu I ordered today was delicious!!!!! Would come again😁😁😁
They are currently having thier soft opening and we recieved a free small strawberry and chocolate with our medium mango. Who doesnt love free stuff. Both were so delicious and and refreshing. Great service. Friendly and clean. Cant wait to come back and try something else. 맛있어요! Medium $8.95, Large $11.95, $6.95 small. All worth the price.
Theres a reason they called it Snowy Village--their bingsu is COLD and wonderfully tasty! This place is a gem, and their menu is both classic and refreshingly new-feeling; the interior is so lovingly crafted and nice to be in, and every item they serve has just as much thought and effort! Its also worth noting that they do (a lot) more than just dessert here--you can also get onigiri, box lunches, drinks, etc. Amazing little spot! The only thing I wish they did was to leave their taiyaki in one piece, but its delicious regardless.
Terrible experience. Terrible food. I waited 25 minutes for a chicken bento box. By the time I got it, my shaved ice had mostly melted.., and the chicken was hard, and dry. It was inedible. This is not an exaggeration. First experience. Definitely my last. Tell people you make them wait 25 minutes for some fried chicken before they order. Just awful. Waste of $30.
Love this little Korean dessert place. They have these Bingsus - shaved ice desserts and Taiyakis - fish shaped desserts made fresh. The place is well maintained and clean. The service is amazing - pay at the counter. They make most of the stuff on order and it is pretty good. They have also started serving Korean food but I didnt get to try it out. Their bubble is good, I tried the espresso which was great. Loved the mango Bingsu and the oreo one. Remember even the smallest size is quite filling and big imo and takes a while to finsh because it is shaved ice. They have cooler bags for takeout orders. Ample amount of seating inside for couples and groups. Parking available outside because it is a shopping complex.
This place has great deserts. I never knew shaved milk could taste so good. I had the chocolate dish and it was perfect!
1st time trying Korean style shaved iced (Bingsu) and crepes (taiyaki). Our group shared the mango and blueberry/granola large bowls. While the bingsu was yummy, it tasted similar to the Taiwanese shaved ice. The taiyaki was a pleasant new experience with the flaky crepes and smooth creamy red bean paste inside. If you love desserts and fruits but dread the sugar-laden sweets, this is the place for you.
Bingsu was awesome! Recommend the mango!
Delicious! I tried both the Bingsu and the Taiyaki and both were great. Will definitely order again. I ordered to go at the restaurant and the wait was over 30 minutes which is my only complaint, you could clearly see the two people working were trying their best and going as fast as possible while still doing a great job and providing great customer service but they clearly need more staff.
UPDATED:Can I give them 6 stars? My family has enjoyed this place 6+ times now, and they are consistently friendly, with delicious treats. I cant wait to enjoy a refreshing bing su in the summer!Delicious, fresh food and very friendly staff! Kids love it and so do I. Come give their taiyakis a chance! We ordered nutella taiyaki and the mango cheesecake milk snow to share and my son and I enjoyed every bite!
Amazing food, super clean place, friendly staff, beautiful place to have some time with a friend, Overall the food is just delicious and prepared upon order so everything is fresh and tasty.
My favorite dessert place hands down. Try the Nutella taiyaki and mango bingsu and you won’t be disappointed :)
Me encanto, my first time there, delicious!!!
Disgusting, tastes like frozen water with no flavor.
The 인절미 빙수 (injeomi bingsu) and strawberry 빙수 (strawberry bingsu) was really yummy! The staff was kind and it came out really fast. The ambience was refreshing and the place is really aesthetic ^_^ a really good place to have some cool dessert with your friends. I’ve had the smoothies too and they’re the best I’ve ever had! I really appreciate that it comes with a cardboard cover to keep your hands from getting cold.
Outstanding customer service. High quality products. One of my favorite ice cream shops in Austin. Keep up the good work throughout this difficult time!
It was me and my daughters first time at the cafe. We were very happy with the service and food we received. There was so much I wanted to try. The milk tea was recommended. I was really surprised, might switch from coffee. We will be back again. Sorry for those customers that get to close. Thanks for being open.
The 6929 Airport Blvd. location is not as good as the pictures advertise it out to be. Specially the desserts. I did not try the food, discretion is advised. I wish I could’ve taken a picture of how horrible the presentation of our dessert was, however it was not picture worthy. When asked if I could have what their picture advertised, Green Tea Shaved Ice, they simply stated that “we have different branches and we don’t serve that.” My friends and I ended up ordering knock off versions of what was actually displayed IN STORE. We were highly disappointed especially when the images showed such yummy decorated shaved ice.The employees were nice, however they were very chaotic and slow. Our taiyaki took over 15 minutes to make because of how understaffed they were. Overall, I had high expectations that were overwhelming under met. Do not recommend this location for desserts.
Awesome place for deserts. Food and drinks can take a while to come out, sometimes they might forget you order.
Heard about this place from friends that went to the one on airport. I was happy to hear one opened much closer to me on Parmer. My favorite snow ice place was Sweet Moments in Manhattan. Now this is my favorite place. Ive only had the bingsu so I cant say much for the other items. But the ice texture was great, flavors were great, the unexpected additional layer of toppings inside were good, and even the bottom portion that gets all melted in this type of dessert was somehow better than other places. I went after lunch on a weekday and there was no line. Took about 5-6 minutes to get our 2 orders(strawberry and the red bean bingsu).
Although the rice balls were pretty tasty, they got our shaved ice order wrong. The thing that bothered us the most was that there was poor social distancing at this establishment. The tables were not spaced out very well so most customers were sitting right next to each other and eating without masks on. I would recommend coming to get take out and then leaving to enjoy the food in a safe socially distanced way instead of being right on top of one another.
I’m in Austin for the weekend and you already know I went looking for a good dessert spot. 😅 I went on Yelp Snowy Village! We got the Matcha and Assorted Fruits Bingsoo and the Matcha Bingsoo was pretty solid! I would say it’s pretty close to U Desserts’ (San Francisco) shaved snow, except I’d probably skip the Assorted Fruits one since the syrup tasted a bit artificial. Other than that, here’s a great place for dessert in Austin, Texas!
Awesome taiyaki and bingsoo.
Quick go to for boba dranks
The place is comfy and the people seemed friendly. The time from placing the order to getting a mildly average order was around 15 minutes. Shaved ice was good but it lacked a punch.
We came to Snowy Village the evening of Christmas Day. We ordered the mochi bingsu, Oreo bingsu, and a Nutella taiyaki. The lady taking our order was nice and our treats were super delicious, all at a decent price too!
An awesome place for desserts and light meal as well. We havent tried their meal though, but the shaved ice with mango and the green tea ice cream was really good. The price was pretty good too. Loved their interior as well. And the ambiance of the place was really inviting.
The little panini style pressed croissant sandwiches are really good if you want a quick sweet snack. Their boba tea and milk ice are pretty tasty as well.
Best place.. quickly became a favorite.. The Nutella Banana Taiyaki is gooood and their Mangos are just sooo good
AMAZING!!!! The taiyaki was flaky and delicious. Boba tea was refreshing and yummy. Rice balls made me dance while I ate them!!
Awesome Every Single Time! We went twice today! No seating. Take out only right now and No bathroom availability. They do not make cash change. Must be card or exact cash.
