Were new to South Austin. My daughter and I have a weekend donut run tradition, and after visiting a few of the locally-owned donut spots, this one is our favorite!The owners are always so friendly to us, and we love the donut, croissant, and kolache selection! They even have some specialty donuts, including a maple-glazed bacon donut as well as a lemon-glazed blueberry donut!Also, their donut holes are huge! (They have two sizes for their donut holes, one regular, one large.) The larger donut holes are practically the size of their donuts! And tasty too!Were so happy we found our new favorite South Austin donut shop, and well be coming back for years to come!

I prefer a traditional donut shop and KC Donuts does the basics perfectly. I have been coming here for about three years periodically. Donuts are my kryptonite so I have to keep my visits infrequent.My favorite donuts are jelly donuts - and these are the best I have had in years - and my second favorite is an old fashioned. They have so many old fashion options but their blueberry are my go to.

My daughter and I have tried all the donut shops in the Austin area and KC Donuts are by far some of the best traditional donuts in Austin. KC’s old-fashions are the best in Austin hands down - great texture, density and flavor.

I wish this shop opened when their hours indicate they open or they update their hours on Google. I waited outside until well after 7:00 AM for them still not to open. Call me crazy but I do think a shop that sells primarily breakfast should be open by 7 AM. Bummer! My kids were looking forward to KC’s this morning!

Fantastic donuts! I come here frequently because they have a huge array of different flavors, the donuts are cheap, and as good or better than popular donuts like Shipleys! Apart from that, it’s a mom-and-pop store so the managers/employees are all super nice. Recommend: Regular glazed, glazed donut holes, maple glazed, lemon iced, blueberry iced. I tip every time I can!

We love KC Donut for classic donuts! The donuts are delicious and the sausage kolaches are so fluffy and amazing. Always a good selection and super cheap. Breakfast tacos and sandwiches are good too. We go here all the time!

Ive been going to this place since highschool back in 07. Originally I used to come in for the breakfast tacos every so often. It wasnt until recently did I start coming to the donuts. Ive not gone to another donut place since. I absolutely LOVE THESE DONUTS!!! I recommend them to everyone. Ask for the Texas sized donut holes

This is the only place I will eat donuts. I dont know why but I dont like them anywhere else. My family also loves the kolaches and the croissants. The family that owns it are so sweet. Ten years ago my oldest child was killed in a drunk driving accident and we adopted her little girl. I was so depressed during that time and would take the little one for a chocolate milk and donut as she was grieving the loss of her mother as well. The lady who works the counter could tell something was wrong and asked how I was. I told her what happened and she always made a point to ask me how I was doing. To this day, ten years later, when I walk in I remember her kindness and care to me and my family.

Honestly I’m not sure why anyone would give this place less than 5 stars. They have the best donuts I’ve ever had! They are so amazing and even better when they are hot and fresh. People complain about customer service but I have never had any issues. People need to cut other some slack and stop giving 1 star ratings for ridiculous reasons. Don’t trust any of the bad reviews. KC’s is the BEST!

I normally go to Shipleys but let me tell you ... This place is so delicious! I got a cinnamon roll (big), donut holes (which are huge!) And a bacon, egg croissant sandwich (big) every thing was delicious!! Three of us all shared a bit of everything, I was so full but in the best way! Im coming here from now on!!My nephew says your donut holes taste like heaven 😋

Awesome cake donuts!

Decent, but certainly not great. Tried an assortment for the first time last weekend - cake, old fashioned, and the yeast raised. The yeast raised were the best, followed by the cake. The old fashioned donuts were pretty bad, tasted like day-olds. Maybe we caught them on a bad day (9am on a Saturday). The staff were nice, and they had a large selection of toppings/flavors, but the donuts themselves left something to be desired.

Their croissants and donut holes and cinnamon rolls are all huge! And delicious.

My chocolate old fashion was fresh and crust was crispy and dense. Coffee is also delicious.

I went here on a Sunday morning and there was a line! I went inside and I noticed everyone was getting their glazed donut holes. Well I did the same thing and these donut holes were literally the best donut holes I have ever had. They were big, soft and warm. The just melted in our mouth. Get the donut holes seriously. You won’t be disappointed. The service was friendly and quick given the line they had to deal with. I’ll be back next time for sure.

Yummiest little donut shop. Recently went in with my son towards the end of the day while we waited for our oil to be changed at the nearby Jiffy Lube. We bought a few of the old fashioned donuts and a breakfast taco. The woman working was so kind and threw in a few of the large donut holes for free. They were delicious and we so appreciated the sweet gesture.

BACK KITCHEN STAFF NOT WAREING A MASK..I went there on Saturday am.I was so pleased to see social distancing...A line out the door only 2 customers at a time allowed in..The staff in front wareing masks .Then I asked if the person who made the donuts wore a and was told yes. 2 minuets later someone came out of the back ...with a tray of hot donuts with NO MASK....I did not eat the donuts...

Ive been going here since I was a kid and Ive always loved it. From their croissant sandwiches, breakfast tacos (with homemade salsa thats amazing), Italian sodas and smoothies, and their huge donut holes, Ive tried everything there and still keep coming back for more.

Pretty good donuts, but nothing super amazing. It’s a nice touch that the jelly filled doughnuts are filled to order. Liked the cinnamon roll doughnut and the plain glazed doughnut holes the best. The man working was very nice.

Love KC Donuts! My favorite in Austin. Friendly. They seem to have enough on hand in all key varieties each day even till 9 or 10am, compared to other donut shops that are out of my favorite flavors by 9am. My favorite are their chocolate, vanilla, and maple old fashioned donuts. Large size donut, awesome quality and taste, and great price.

I hate reviewing places I love because the lines tend to get longer. However KCs so friggin awesome and totally worth the wait. The best thing about this place, consistency. Consistent fresh, great taste. Consistent fair prices. Consistent pleasant demeanor of staff. Every time I end up in a donut shop, either across town or out of state, its hard not to compare them to KC Donuts. Hands down the best in south Austin 100%. Probably the best in Austin, period.

We always get the egg and cheese which they make fresh for you (vegetarian option for the win!).Lastly, the breakfast tacos (of the potato, egg and cheese variety) are incredibly delicious, with a really unique and tasty fresh salsa!Ive been eating breakfast tacos for years - in Arkansas, Arizona, and now Texas- and I have never had any better than those at KC.All around, KC donuts is breakfast perfection! Their iced coffee is good too.Only one downside is that they usually do not have any plain glazed donuts until around 8:15 in the mornings. Ive often wanted to take donuts to my work, but I cant because I have to leave by 8:00 am. Earlier donuts please!!

The best donut shop in town. I will never buy from them again . The woman behind the counter is a mask freak! She is visibly scared if you a patron choose not to wear a mask. She can do whatever she wants but I do not need her attitude! WAKE UP PEOPLE.

I actually cant eat gluten buy my husband insisted I try the glazed donut hole and the glazed donut and now I am sad be it was SO fresh, warm and delicious and I cant eat them! The iced coffee is great too. My kids love these and are completely addicted.

This place has been my go-to since I was a child. Everything they make is delicious and the only downside to that is the line that often runs out the door, can make it take a little while to get your turn. Dont let that deter you, KC Donuts is worth the wait.

I have been coming to K C Donuts for quite some time. They never fail. I would say their donut holes are the best in town. The glazed donut holes melt in your mouth. Their kolaches are very good also. The counter staff is excellent. Great donuts at a great price!

This is a popular local donut shop. The owners & staff are super nice and their product is really tasty. Theyre in an unremarkable strip mall. If it werent for word of mouth (and the Saturday morning line out the door), I would not have noticed them.

At first I was like, the audacity for a donut shop to open at 7am instead of 5!. After having a donut and a taco, I realized that quality cannot be rushed. Great job, KC Donuts!

Ok I like this places food but they need to figure out what days they are going to close. Im sitting here on a Tuesday morning in front of a closed store, again, because their closed days are seemingly completely random. There is no way to tell if it will be open.Do not go out of your way to come here on Mondays or Tuesdays because there is no way to tell whether it will be open.

While the food is good the staff leaves MUCH to be desired. When you have to repeat a taco order more than 10 times and they still manage to get it wrong, bacon and sausage is not complicated, on multiple visits. Worst part is that the employee who is the problem is the owner. She is rude and unhelpful. Sucks that this places great food is ruined by her customer service. If possible I would give her negative stars.

Best service and doughnuts in Austin.

The donuts are okay but the customer service is what is really lacking. Getting upset because you chose to use two types of sprinkles, pearls and confetti. Making it a choice to your customers that are children that there are actually 4 types of sprinkled donuts. So please do not get upset with them when they wont accept the donut they want to buy just because you do not see the difference. Your attitude and rudeness was uncalled for and disappointing. We have not frequented your shop in years and will not any more.

The Donuts are great if there are any. I keep coming back because they are so good, but leave empty handed more than I get to enjoy them. I am not a cake donut fan. They always have cake donuts and I am not sure if that is what they love to make and over make those or if nobody ever buys them. I went today and was told I had to wait a hour to get donuts.. Why are you even open if you dont have product??They are are always short staffed and I think they should get a bigger space.Dont get me wrong, I will be back because I am a gambling man. There is a 50% chance I will get a donut.

Stopped by K C Donut because it was close, saw there was a long line and stayed because the reviews said it was worth it, and was not disappointed. Kolaches were great, cinnamon rolls were a crowd pleaser, and the donut holes won the day. Super friendly and helpful staff too, despite being really busy.

I love this place...Im not a huge fan of sweets, but the donuts here are amazing. Dont forget to enjoy the wonderful kolaches as well! Its almost always busy, so plan ahead and order in advance if you have a large order.
