This company is such a headache to deal with that I decided to post this review to help anyone else that might be considering using them. I’ve never posted a review before, but this company seems to be the kind that puts people off hoping that they will eventually go away so they don’t actually have to make any repairs. It’s been about 9 months of trying to get them to make small repairs...9 MONTHS!I tried to be patient because I knew we were in a pandemic and parts were difficult to obtain, but this is inexcusable considering the repairs I’m requesting are not difficult repairs and their delay appears to have to more to do with their employees response time. One issue we’ve had is the weather stripping is faulty on a couple of doors and because of this, there is water damage to our wood floors and we now have to make repairs to our wood floors.It’s become comical now and each time we communicate I try to guess what their next excuse will be. I’ve attached my communications with their rep so people can see for themselves how they operate. I have had two experiences with BMC. The first in 2017 was good. My recent experience in 2020 has been terrible. I order three solid core pre hung doors to match one I ordered in 2017. The first set came was the wrong size, no big deal, it happens. BMC rushed a second set, while I was installing them I realized they beveled the lock side and cut it done too much, I had to bend the jamb out to meet the door hardware. At the top of the door you can see into the hallway when the door is closed. After getting the run around for months I went down there and they sent a technician out who agreed with me. I was told I would get new doors, two months later, not a word and no doors. I haven’t trimmed the doors in because I will have to straighten the jambs. It has been like this for months and I can’t get a response. Their door guys clearly don’t know what they are doing. It is really embarrassing, customer service is absolutely terrible. I would not pay a dime until you receive delivery and confirm it is right.Edit (04/05/2021) - Weeks after responding, still no response from Management. I suspect the post was just to give the illusion that they are taking care of things. Dont be fooled....Edit (04/24/2021) - Still no response, just realized that they also sent me 209 feet of trim that was a full 1/8 more narrow than I ordered. What they sent was incorrect on the ticket. This is laughable. Homeowners, I recommend going somewhere else - The folks at BMC are not an honorable bunch, theyll screw you over and walk away.

Several items were damaged. Management did their best to correct or make up for damaged product. Price for doors seemed to be the best in town.

If I could give this company, location and staff a negative number that would be more accurate! Since 9/18 I have been trying to place an order now 10/5 and the order is still not accurate or placed to the vendor. The lack of response and attention to detail is UNACCEPTABLE! Unacceptable!!

I’m a business owner. But, apparently I’m not big enough for BMC, or so I’ve been told by the Austin and San Antonio locations. They don’t care about local business owners at all. I’ve had horrible experiences with them. From broken windows to projects being delayed months. I decided to use Building First in Buda but come to find out, they’ve merged with BMC. Beyond frustrated.

I can’t even comprehend the disrespect to the customer. I came in today and the front desk lady at the Burleson location was super disrespectful didn’t care about providing good service. Also didn’t have a mask due to corona virus I feel they take it as a joke. I couldn’t even buy or place a order on a door because she was in such a hurry to get me out the door, No customer service period. Now I understand why y’all have the most terrible review over all. Can’t understand why anyone would bother to do business with y’all period. Also pricing is stupid ridiculous so yes I’ll go to Home Depot!

Good luck ever getting a hold of anyone. I have emailed from their website, waited a week, called and left a voicemail, still no return call after a day, called the next day only to get transferred after nobody picked up to an automated phone system that has not been set up. You guys can’t make money if you aren’t answering customers.

These guys couldnt answer the phone or get back to a customer if their lives depended on it. Theyre always my last resort to look for products because I know that Ill never be able to reach a sales representative. Going there in person isnt any better. Youll most likely be waiting in a 2-person long line for an hour, and if they say theyll send you a quote, they never do.

If you want to see poor customer service in action; visit this place. I stood around waiting to ask a question for 20 minutes. There were 2 employees at the desk. One was with a customer, joking around and laughing with him and taking her sweet time. The other was on the phone. She would hang up from her call, write things down on papers and then make another call. She would also put her call on hold, answer the phone and put that call on hold and then continue on with her caller. Meanwhile I waited. Several other customers came, got tired of waiting, and left. Periodically, another employee would come out from the back of the store and walk right past, ignoring all of us. One of the other customers who was waiting asked a question of one of them and he directed them back to the women at the customer service desk. Just as I was about to give up and walk out the door, the lady on the phone put her call on hold and asked if she could help me. I was looking for a specific type of door trim and had been directed to them by an employee at Home Depot. She looked at my trim and said Im sorry, we dont have that one. And back on her call.Thats the last time Ill ever darken their door.

Ive experienced 0 customer service from the Burleson location. Can someone be accountable. Just because the building business is booming doesnt mean you dont have to take care of customers. I waited for a window delivery all day. I called to check on things and was assured the delivery was still on schedule for the day. I got no phone call and/or no text. My wife did have a random missed call, but no voice mail and no text. Why wasnt my salesman all over this? I called the next day with out my order # to follow up and the rude first point of contact couldnt find my order and was very unpleasant. I am a small homebuilder contractor/basically residential customer, so I obviously dont really matter to BMC. I will be doing my business elsewhere from now on.

Theyre even worse now than when they were stock building supplies. Really bad customer service. The loading yard is the slowest Ive ever seen. No one tlreally cares over there. Couldnt even get through to anybody on the phone for a couple hours (well within business hours) in the morning. Their quality is absolutely no better than home Depot. In fact, at times, their quality control has been worse than home Depot. Currently working on a brand new entry door from them with blowouts and chips all over it, very sharp corners from poorly done bevels, and they undersized it a bit too much so the reveals are no good. They also didnt align the strikers with the handle holes accurately so the mortise for the strikers will be wider than necessary. Again, no one cares about quality or service here. Officially have lost confidence in this company and will never use them again. Ive always had good service at the location in cedar Park, but will no longer support BMC and ANY location.

Outstandingly bad customer service at the South Austin store. I ordered a new front door (among a larger order of other things) in October. It should have taken two weeks. It is four months later and I still have no door. No one at the store cares to troubleshoot, instead they just punt to it will be here next week. Im 9 months pregnant and have no front door, the renovations ended at my house weeks ago. This is unacceptable.

Never should anyone have to experience what I am going through with this organization.... No shows / no calls / zero follow up......Beware ! & I am being nice ! Over 11K spent and after 10 months...they installed a fire hazard...my latch still does not operate properly to access the outside of my house.

The phone call for information about a specific INTERIOR room door could NOT have been MORE sickening--I wouldnt BOTHER making what would surely be a stomach-churning visit to the store itself, even if I AM close-by. PASS. Horrible attitudes over the phone and its not as if their price$ are even good! Ill just go find a door blank at ReStore.

This is the most incompetent company I’ve ever dealt with. Please use anyone else. They have now sent me the wrong door six times. It’s almost mathematically impossible to screw up that much but somehow they manage.

Delivery entrance for trucks is Drossett, DR. You’ll see the gate on the right. Don’t go to the main building, just waste of time.

I placed a order for a new construction order and they over sent me material and over charged me as well and on top of that it took them over two weeks to pick up the lumber from my lot. They still havent credited me back and its over $6k. I also ordered windows from them and they sent me the wrong ones. my contractor almost put no opening windows in the master bedroom which will NEVER pass inspection (obviously). They should already know that cant be done since they have well over ten years being in business. Then they wouldnt refund me for the wrong window (that they ordered!). So I had to spend more money on there mistake. The assistant manager was extremely rude. They are very unprofessional and make mistakes all the time and fail to admit it. Ive been a contractor for twenty years and they are the only company i have ever had problems with. I will not do order anything thru them again and i dont recommend them to anybody. If you do decide to I encourage you to double check everything and make sure they dont over send you anything especially if its a big order.These people are liars,frauds,and they dont care about customer service. Beware!

Your drivers apparently drive with only themselves in mind. Saw a truck this morning not want to wait 2 extra minutes for me to turn left and decided to go around me on a non existent shoulder to almost hit a high school kid that was walking.

Their inventory is not accurate so after paying, the supplies did not exist. Arrival of new supplies was 3 days beyond the day promised. Three trips for me to pick up 1 item. Hardy siding was $33.48 and the same item at Lowes is $25.98. Finding things on their premises is not easy and getting help is difficult.

They work so slow in the contractors desk, theres no line but they spend about 30- to 45 minutes to attend only one customer, so if you see 3 or 4 people in line expect to be there 1:30 to 2: 00 hours

Im getting quotes on a lumber order, so I got a quote from Brazos and I got a quote from Dakota and I called BMC could not get anyone so then I tried them back and left a message for them to call me back that did not happen, I tried again could not get anyone so I left a message saying that Id already left a message and would they please call me back day 3 I could not get anyone then I tried back a couple of times I did not want to leave more messages so then I called back and left a message telling them that they suck, so I dont know how much their price would have been
