If you are not Indian don’t patronize this store the owner followed me around the store isle by isle and literally watched me shop, as if I was stealing. Needless to say the least I never went back to the store ever again.

The owners wife does not greet you when you come in to the store. She stays on her phone and gets increasingly annoyed when you ask her questions. She yells at her employees in front of the customer - imagine how she treats them when no one is watching. Zero customer service. The store is dirty. Make sure you check expiration dates. Do NOT shop here.

This is my favorite restaurant in Austin. I happen to eat two to three meals a week at this establishment. I like that this cafe is attached to a small grocery and butcher shop. The meat is so fresh and grilled when you order it. I like that the food is not too spicy like other restaurants with a similar menu. They have a fantastic lunch buffet from 11am to 4pm for $7.99!! My favorite meat is the chicken tikka kabob lunch special with rice and spinach pakora. Ordering over the phone or online requires a little patience because of the language barrier sometimes, but you will come to appreciate the quality food served here. Their employees are a little shy at first but so pleasant once you get to know them.

If you want to try some of the best Bangladeshi or Bengali food then this is the place to go. Try the Haleem, Biriyani and the kebobs there. The grocery section is pretty well stocked as well with not only spices and other daily requirements but also has fresh meat and frozen fishes with quite a bit of variety and fair prices.

They didnt have everything a true Indian market would have but had other interesting items from Ukraine. Some labels were hard to see. I saw a goat being prepped for butchering. They are a halal market. I was surprised to see they carried variety of fish in frozen and dried which was quite unusual.

Super nice guy at the counter patiently and happily answered all of my questions. Im fairly new to some areas of middle-eastern foods, and he really seemed to enjoy sharing his knowledge with me. For a smallish place, it has great selection (hello, spices!), and the place is very clean. Theres a little cafe there that Im looking forward to trying soon. Its been rated high by others, and thats a plus I look for.

This store has great people and products!!! Very unique food selection, some of the greatest prices on fresh produce isle. Many new products that I tried here, became my new favorites! Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Romanian and other favorite groceries can be found here like no other place. Theres always space to improve and it would help if theyd watch closer attention to exp. dates and cooling and freezing safety procedures. But it is still my favorite store!

Prices are fairly High compared to other import stores in the Austin area. Also when I picked out a cut of meat that I wanted I asked if they can slice it, the woman at the cashier said yeah just take it to the back, to get to the deli, the dude that was using the machine to slice meat said oh no we cant slice that for you. So I just left it there if youre going to charge me $13 a pound the least you can do is slice it.

Great grocery store. You can find ANYTHING from eastern Europe to south Asia here. Butcher shop cuts your meat precisely to your specifications. They have authentic fresh made Bengali sweets here made in the cafe and a good variety of teas too (I FOUND SAFFRON TEA HERE!). Good cheese selection, too. Dont pass up their samosas at the front counter either. If a certain kind isnt there, order them fresh from the cafe. You wont be disappointed!

I go to this place all the time for my Indian/deshi grocery. I have consistently found the sales guys very helpful and courteous. They have been going though some renovations, during that time the appearance of the place was not very appealing. But now that they have opened up a cafe and made the store much larger and nicer. I love their halal burgers at the cafe which is hard to get anywhere in Austin.

Grocery:The grocery is gross. If you visit this place do go and check out the garlic pods. They sell ones with fungus. I also bought a rice bag from them and it had bugs. I went back to return it and they took at least 20 min to decide what to do with the bag. The owner would refuse to give you a plastic bag if you purchase anything below 10 bucks(this happened only once). If you buy meat here then, they weight the meat before removing the fat and skin and charge you based on that. I believe you lose about 20% of weight when they do this.Cafe:The cafe however is really good. The food is great. Their lamb biryani is my favorite.

I arrived just before noon and there was little chow on the buffet. Goat curry, stewed chicken, rice pilaf, some kind of fish croquette (the label said kebab, but it was a fried patty in a steamer dish), and a salad. The salad was fresh and tasty, but everything else was just kind of bland. No separate veggie dishes that I usually expect at an Indo/Pak restaurant. Minimal service. The owner bellowed loudly on a cell phone the entire time. Not enough to bring me back here for a second time.

Just moved to Austin and was looking to start buying regular meat and grocery. I was in line to pay and was next.
