We had a family fun night with Daniel as our instructor. It was a wonderful experience and Daniel was a great instructor. Very patient and clear with his instructions. He let us do everything while instructing from the side. Would definitely recommend going here.
Garrett and Justin were absolutely amazing. Garrett was our instructor for our pistal introduction class. He was very through, informative, and patient. Justin gave us alot of information about guns and made us comfortable and confident once we are ready to purchase a fire arm. Definitely coming back. Thanks guys.
To make a long story short: the guys working there like to act as if they’re doing you a favor by showing up to work that day…None of the employees who graced me with their attention were actually helpful to me as a customer, nor did they show any intention to be.Two stars because the facility itself is pretty nice, very ample, and neatly organized. However, their product inventory isn’t really anything to glance at; only thing it may have going for it are the very few random items you might previously have only seen online.Does not hold a candle to the service, selection, and not to mention - prices - of Red’s Indoor Range in Pflugerville.
We had Steve Adams as our coach and hes absolutely amazing. Highly recommended!
Daniel Batts was our instructor and he was literally such a cool guy! He was really informative and reassuring and made us feel super comfortable. We had so much fun! We will definitely be back and hopefully he can be our instructor again!
Great experience. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Thanks Jeffrey and Andrew! They have large selection and a affordable packages for any experience shooter.
Went in for help from their gunsmith. They were kind, honest and helpful. I really appreciated that Bear was willing to talk through what had happened to my rifle as well as what they would be doing to try and fix it. Excited to go back.
The facility itself is nice, being its a sufficiently ventilated indoor range with many lanes, and a couple guys on staff are usually cool....but beware that even a paid-in-full year long range membership (about $600) comes with an auto renewal clause nobody mentioned to me when I purchased that full year of range time. Ive had PIF year memberships before at comparable out of state ranges, and never has there been an auto-renew. Hell, even decent gyms dont auto-renew PIF years. I recently moved back east, and found an attempt to charge my card for another years membership via an email from them to let me know the charge was declined, and warning me that it would be attempted again in 12 hrs. (Thank god that debit card was taken out of service a while ago.) I tried to reach them...apparently the staff no longer answers the phone during business hours. Like, at all. Youre forced to listen to a long recording, and then leave a message nobody responds to. They dont respond to emails either. I tried both- for a very time sensitive concern. Almost two days later- AFTER my voicemail and email explaining I live over 1k miles away now- they tried to charge my card again. I finally noticed in microprint at the bottom of their declined charge email, that there is an online account I can use (had no clue prior), and was hopefully able to cancel this once and for all...but received zero email confirmation of such changes made, and have yet to be contacted to let me know.It seems The Range is all about taking peoples money while giving no f**ks...and I cant be too surprised, since I got burned for over $600 on a CQB type course taught by the owner (Jeff) during the 2021 freeze....despite the city being mostly shut down & many of us tending to either freeze damage or our less-able neighbors in distress. His course took place just a couple days after power returned for most but not all of Austin- it was not rescheduled, and I was denied a refund because I chose to help my elderly neighbor with her dire needs instead of showing up to a class during an officially declared disaster. Lol...guess Im just not SEAL-level badass with my choice to help an old lady in a bind rather than clear rooms that day. Too bad my tacticool shortcomings cost me so much money. So yeah....its a clean, ventilated range...but know what you need already or have thick skin, know that ALL types of memberships auto-renew even if youre not told that, and dont expect anything other than profit-first-no-f**ks-given policies from management.Update: a few hours after I posted this review, I received an email confirming my cancelled renew of my membership. Im not sure if the timing was a coincidence, but either way- at least they finally confirmed my cancellation.
Great bunch of guys that are pro military as well as law enforcement. These guys know their stuff and stock weapons of quality. Great group of people..am now a member.
The lanes are amazing and the place is clean and organized. The staff however are unwelcoming and typical douche range rats. Four guys standing behind a counter and none of them seemed interested in conversing w me about the questions I had about guns. I’m not an expert gun person and YouTube isn’t always the best resource for information. You would think the staff at the most expensive gun range in the area could help you out. But that’s not this place. Wait for good weather and go to lone star instead.
Daniel aka batman is hands down the best RSO I’ve ever met . He’s extremely kind and knowledgeable, he is the reason why I’ll be coming back next time I’m in town !
Gary and Matthew were very thorough and explained pros/cons of different storage safes, storage strategies, and Texas law.I am a recent move from Western Pennsylvania. Very happy to become a member at this range and I am looking forward to making my first purchase and becoming a gun owner in the next few days.
While you do find some levels of I know more than you arrogance with an occasional staffer here, to be quite frank they probably do. You can learn a lot from just talking to the employees here. They are fun to chat with and have never made me feel like my inexperience was a bad thing. Ask them a question and you will get back good, solid information sprinkled with a little bit of their own brand preferences. Combine that with a great facility and my wife and I were hooked. The staff here are not members of a wait staff at your favorite restaurant.
Booked in last night, it was brilliant!Highly recommended to any one in the area - regular shooter or a tourist wanting a high end hands on!Big thanks to Jimmy for taking time to go over all the basics with us foreigners. Its a really nice, clean venue and friendly staff.Highly recommended.Hopefully be back in Texas again to visit.
This place fell below my expectations..my girlfriend pre paid like a week in advance for a range package (around $100) we arrived a little late bc we drove from out of town, 4 hours away! We admit we were 30 minutes late and if we could have a credit for a future time to shoot and he tells me there’s no spots left but my gf explains exactly what I’m writing in this review to him and than he says we can buy a range again and shoot… just was very careless and didn’t wanna hear it … made me feel robbed… I understand I was late but I guess just make sure your not even a minute over your scheduled time or they will take your money and range…
Very nice clean place. But there’s workers there that are not suppose to be working there. They make peoples experience there unpleasant and some workers there are very disrespectful. They shouldn’t feel like power hungry people just because they have guns. They should make your experience there pleasant where you wanna keep coming back cause it’s a place of business like Reds indoor range. Very professional, pleasant and fun. All in all. My first visit at the Range is sadly my last and I would not recommend people to come here. Go to Reds indoor Range. Much much better.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Range safety officer was very informative and made the experience worth wild.
Great place. Front desk greeter is not as outgoing as you may expect from the first person you see walking in the business, but the staff checking you in on the lanes are very helpful and accommodating. Overall, it’s an amazing facility.
Great range, very responsible & knowledgeable staff that made it an awesome experience. Never shot a full auto gun before, man do they burn through bullets! Super cool place
A worker at the check-in station was unapologetically rude to me & my friends. It was slight, but intentional on multiple occasions. Everyone else seemed super nice & it seemed like a nice facility.
They were very knowledgeable and patient with our group. We had a lot of first time shooters. The facility is also very nice and clean. Would definitely recommend
Pros: clean, decent gun selection, great facilitiesCons: staffThe arrogance and demeanor of the entire staff (except for the RSO on duty, he was awesome) was abhorrent. Super disrespectful. When we entered, we said we were there to use the range and the person at the desk replied “k” and starred blankly. I had to start an investigation just to find out where to go; sorry bro…first time in and admittedly, not that huge of a place but a simple right or left would’ve been appreciated. I then asked if they allowed drawing from holster, and you would’ve thought I had asked them about a dark personal secret. I was pointed to the supervisor who decided to talk to me from across the store while his employee was laughing behind me (friend with me called it out) when I was talking about my background to convey my experience. The reason that we came in was to check it out as a potential venue for a veterans event. I would not subject a group to this sort of treatment. Know your audience. Not going back.
Great place for beginners like us ! Interesting package to shoot a pistol and rifle and good explanations with a knowledgeable instructor. Super clean too!
Novice looking for some basic firearm instruction. This place hit the target. Purchased a package of 3 firearm rentals, 50 rounds, and 1 hour of instruction. I will be going back. Nice staff and awesome facility.
One of the absolute best businesses I have ever been a patron of. This is one of the most fun, cleanest, best-run businesses Ive visited in my life from the store itself, to the individual employees, to the lanes. Everyone seems to be happy and smiling here - and you see ALL types of people - young, old, male, female, every race color and creed. Everyone seems to feel welcome and happy at this place. Just a great vibe.I specifically want to give a huge shoutout to their employee BLAKE (and sincerely hope management sees this review) - one of the friendliest and most helpful people I have *ever* met. He has walked me patiently and thoughtfully through so many of the basics. He clearly knows his stuff but NEVER is condescending about it, just enthusiastic and helpful in an area of expertise he clearly loves. Its easy to feel intimidated going into a store like this but hes made me feel welcome from the first time I gave them a call.Just finished my fourth visit to The Range and my little brother and I just had the TIME of our life with their two-gun full auto package. I think I blew through $500 in about 15 minutes and I have ZERO regrets :)Also big props to one of the young guys in the gunsmith office (not sure of his name) who has patiently helped me as I was that guy over and over again because of recurring issues with a flashlight I bought here. He never made me feel bad about needing help multiple times and I ended up with a full factory warranty replacement.I rarely leave reviews but good LORD this is a great business with great employees. I dont have enough stars, this is an easy 6-star if that was an option.
Hands down the finest facility I’ve ever shot at . The guys are helpful, the selection of rentals and gear is substantial, and the place is clean and inviting . We are there every week !
Pros: nice facilities. Safe. Close to Austin.Cons: Some of the staff are DBags, they get to carry a gun so they think theyre tough guys. Overpriced, for what most places charge for all day access they charge by the hour. And theyll definitely let you know the minute your times up... Ive personally never been a fan of indoor ranges. There are several other places that are a little further away but much more fun (outdoor and safe) and charge the same price but for all day access.
Expansive inventory with knowledgeable staff. Great service, but the price for a one time visit is a bit higher than some of the nearby alternatives. I would recommend this location for membership interests and researching.Paid $120 for two people in a 25 yard range. 1 9mm 50 bullets, and 1 rifle 100 bullets rental.
The Range at AustinLast year I was searching for a range to practiceand equally sharpen my skillset. Last July when I walked in curious in my search, I encountered great customer service, professional atmosphere and the staff with trained professionalism as I am guided and introduced to the facility detsils. Appreciatively, I was treated with care and guidance as the business end would demand and clearly the traits of a great business. Other needed areas also are the,Gun counter, rental area and the Gunsmiths corner and they just meet you with the eagerness expected and thats what designs a great place to take care of your range requirements. Thanks guys and gals,Bert D.AKA...Bill Miller breakfast tacos 😁
Really great facilities. The gun shop looks like it will be amazing once it is finished. And they have some really great firearms for sale. But, this is not really the place for the common man to go. The range fees are incredibly steep! Even compared to similar high end ranges I have been to like in Frisco. The gun shop also is only really catering to the high end clientele. As much as I was impressed by the place and what they offer, I would probably only come here on a rare occasion due to price.
Staff is pretentious and condescending, yet uneducated, refusing to FFL transfer my gun using a temporary license because it felt weird.
To be honest before I ever went here, I always judged this place from a distance because it seemed upity from the outside. But after you go inside, you realize very quickly that this is an awesome place! These guys are friendly and courteous and patient and they know their stuff.Awesome place!
Great place to shoot. Love the fact they have a pistol range and rifle range. Lots of cool guns, a little over priced but ok otherwise. Staff has always been friendly and nice, except theres one short skinny white guy with little man syndrome that is a bit of a Dbag.Other than that awesome place, always clean, and professional.
The facility is top notch but the staff can be sub par. Todays visit was nice and the staff were kind and friendly. In past visits that has definitely not been the case.Since I was only there to buy ammo It was a quick in and out. Duped myself and shouldve gone to mcbrides up north. 525 round box of .22 is $62.60 plus tax, while here the equivalent would be upwards of $150-200 ($13 for a box of 50 rounds of .22).The range sells a box of 9mm for $43ish dollars for 50 rounds, while only $27 at mcbrides. Prices are just super gouged and as mentioned in a bunch of other reviews, the staff does not wear masks. Personally speaking, Id rather take a little bit more of a drive and enjoy all day access and acceptable prices on ammunition.Edit after owner response: thats all fine and dandy but Im not sure why that wasnt mentioned when I bought 8 boxes of .22LR during my visit. The staff was nice and when I told them the prices at mcbrides, they agreed it was a much better deal. But not once did they mention the larger size of ammo available for cheaper than I was paying.
Very friendly staff helped me and a friend have an absolutely wonderful experience at this establishment. On top of being very professional, the Gunsmith on staff gave my firearm a quick look and instantly fixed a loose screw on the safety. I will always recommend this place.
The good: the facility is new and very well laid out. Its a beautiful Range. Staff do their jobs well. The just okay: its not an easy place to get to being right off I35, so location and access isnt ideal as I35 is always jammed and under construction. Its expensive and I dont see the additional value paying a >50% premium over Reds ($16 for a lane at Reds, $25 at The Range).
Very nice facility. That’s the plus. Staff was very hit or miss. 3 were nice, one wasn’t and super unhelpful, 2 others were not helpful either. Was told they were not going to sell any more ammo tonight because they were running low? I think they just didn’t want to go find more. Also, not a single staff member was wearing a mask, and maybe 1/10 people were. I understand you kind of have to take them off on the actual range due to glasses fog, but it was almost a completely maskless environment, so be careful. Again, beautiful facility, but I’m going to try out other places around town instead.
I had a great time learning firearms here. I made a few scheduling errors and the team was very helpful with rescheduling.
Took a New Pistol Shooter class here. $99 for 3 hours of focused instruction. About half classroom time that taught gun/range safety procedures and terminology. The other half was in the range itself with step by step guidance on stance, grip, safety, sighting and trigger pull followed by live fire practice. Very nice facility. Country club like feel. Jeff was great and I dont remember the other instructors name but he was great as well. They did a good job of simplifying the processes to safely and accurately fire my weapon and made me feel at ease the whole time. Ill be back.
Thank to guys in the front for just talking toe about stuff I wasnt aware of. From being from a different state and not know some laws. It was great to talk to like minded people.
This is a must do in Austin! Everything from the staff to the facility is 5 star. It was our first time at a range and these guys made it very enjoyable and educational. Kyle and Evan took care of us and they were both great! Evan has lots of great tips that really improved my shot. Kyle checked us in and was very professional and knowledgeable. Great experience overall!
Great gun range. Knowledge and helpful staff. A little something for everyone. Ranges for both handguns and rifles. Seating area for non-range users. Gun displays and educational videos. Clean restrooms. Membership available. Good parking. Located on the Northbound frontage road of IH-35 just South of William Canyon. Highly recommend this establishment. Non-member hourly rates are reasonable.
I took the “Bring your own 9mm” course today and can’t recommend The Range and Travis enough. I arrived as a newbie and left feeling confident when handling my weapon. It was great having 1:1 instruction for an entire hour. Great customer service. Will definitely be going back!
I love this place. This is a great location. I would highly recommend this place. I love their layout.
I went with a friend for the full auto machine gun experience on a Groupon voucher. Everything was top notch and safe, which was our #1 concern, having only shot a handful of times before. Everybody in the facility was friendly and answered all of our questions. Juan helped us with our experience and was kind, attentive and very professional! Monica helped us with our second rifle and was also excellent. You can tell the staff is very knowledgeable and wants you to have a safe and fun experience. We both loved it and want to go back next time we visit the area!
I HIGHLY recommend going here! The facility is impressive and the employees are knowledgeable and helpful. My wife and I were fortunate to be assisted by Isaiah. Although it has been several years since we’ve been to a range, Isaiah went above and beyond as he instructed us and provided shooting tips. In addition, Isaiah’s recommendation to rent a specific firearm enabled us to achieve our shooting goals.I sincerely thank Isaiah and the team at The Range Austin for all that they do!
If you like to shoot, seasoned shooter or new this is the place. Excellent facilities and staff. Amazing selection of rentals.
Respectable, dependable, knowledgeable, customer caring, and very safe with fire arms in this place. My favorite indoor range so far and the price is more than right! Plan on keeping my membership as long as Im in the area. All staff is very helpful and is always open to questions.
This is a very nice, safe environment. It’s is clean, it has great climate control year round. 100 yard rifle lanes as well as a LOT of pistol lanes. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Austin is fortunate to have such an incredible facility.I have to admit that I was there recently and when I got home, I was missing one of my firearms. I was positive I had made it to my truck with it but could not find it. I called The Range really on a Hail Mary because I could not fathom that I would have left it there. The staff searched for it and found it and called to let me know. So grateful because this pistol was given to me by my Dad back in the 70’s and he is not with Ilya anymore so I just want to say thank you to the staff at The Range for your integrity. I will be a loyal member for years to come.
Nice place.I had a good time. There was a bit of a wait to get a lane, even though I saw several empty lanes. Im sure they have their reasons. The employees told me the wait was a rare occurrence for that day and time. Better to wait a little than have more people with guns then the range personnel can safely oversee I should think. Range fees may be slightly above a few others in the area, but given the location, capacity, up to date amenities, general overhead to maintain an indoor range, and consistent hours of operation, its a small price to pay. Personally I had a great experience with the staff. I appreciated them letting me grab a few extra targets. (I normally bring my own, but this visit was kind of a spontaneous deal) Shooting 200 rounds into a single piece of paper isnt really my thing. Im trying somewhat to sharpen my skills. Its the little things like that, which matter most for me. One of these days when my ship comes in, Ill get a membership.
Modern facility. Front desk staff always greet me when I enter the building. The Range has THE coolest gun display that I have ever seen! The selection of guns and accessories is outstanding.
I was looking at guns for more than 5 minutes and got passed by 5 employees without them saying a word or even looking at me. The point of sale is pretty cool tho.
As a female who is very new to shooting (second time ever!) my experience here was beyond exceptional. The professionalism, education, time taken & safety aspects were standout. I was able to comfortably ask any questions without judgment. It was also well priced, though I feel the service is more important. Many thanks to Kyle who was informative, helpful, professional, & personable. Also, thanks to Jeff for his advice at wrap up. All staff encountered were fantastic. Will happily return during any future Austin trips & highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing, staff and facilities. If you have a chance to go I would urge you to, one of the best staff members to work with at the front desk is Ruger Dan
Zero stars. Tried to reach out several times to secure a lane . Left messages and nobody contacted me. Then a coworker finally made contact. Couldnt get the needed time amd now wanna charge way too much for the lousy service. Definitely zero stars and wont be going here for any further business.
Very clean, well kept, modern facility. Tons of weapons, scopes, suppressors for sale as well. Mags and ammo available for purchase as well, though I recommend coming with your own ammo in hand. The staff is really friendly and safety oriented. Bill Go is a champ and is the guy responsible for teaching me the ropes with my handgun. Without that guy Id know nothing. My grouping is spot on after only 6 visits because of him. I still recommend taking one of the intro classes if you are a novice like myself, but the folks working the range offer a few tips here and there, as mentioned above. They wont be afraid to step in if it looks like you need help - AND - if you are receptive to said help. Ive noticed they dont just interject with strangers unless its a safety issue, which is nice. (Not bothered unless you want to be, sort of thing).Place is well air conditioned so the big bois wont sweat it out... haha. Ive never seen the place too packed, they have I BELIEVE 30 spots on the pistol range and have more on the rifle side, but Ive not been over there yet.Its $25 for an hour for non members, if you go frequently enough you should get a member pass, 500$ a year. That equals out to 1.67 times per month to get your 500$ worth. So if you even go twice a month, you are saving money. If you go 3 times a month, you are saving 400 dollars a year (25x3x12= 900 - 500 = 400There ya go. Best place around for shooting. Also Bill Go is the man.
Its an above average range. Just dont go if you care that none of the employees wear masks. Kind of a shame.
I don’t usually go out of my way to write reviews, but I felt compelled to because the Range was fantastic. My instructor was competent, confident, and caring, and he carefully walked me through the necessary technical and safety training. I have never held a gun before, let alone fired one, but I enjoyed the session and felt that I was in good hands. The place might seem a little pricey, but I believe that it’s worth it for the professional and prompt service. Thank you!
I went with a group of four friends to have some fun on a Tuesday afternoon, we made a reservation online. I’ve shot before but not at a range and definitely appreciated the patience, safety, and humor of our instructor, Adam. Facility is very clean and I felt safe. Adam is on top of his game in knowledge and instruction. I had a ton of fun and enjoyed my time!
We love The Range! It’s by far my favorite range. Awesome customer service, super clean facility, and very nice knowledgeable employees. We’ve never had a bad experience, and always look forward to going!
We held our rehearsal dinner in the Patriot Club at the Range. The patriot club is a clubroom upstairs, with 8 private shooting lanes, lots of great seating areas, a bar, and a cigar patio. I was iffy at first about having our rehearsal dinner at a gun range, but it exceeded any and all expectations. Even our non-shooters who attended thought the space was perfect and had a great time. People are still talking about how great the rehearsal dinner was. Theres also a large TV that people watched bowl games on. With the shooting, the tv, the cigar patio, the bar, and food that was had catered, there was something for everyone. It was exactly what we wanted - a nice upscale space with a casual, laid back vibe. Thanks to the range staff for making it a memorable night - especially Randy, Jess, and Alfredo.
I went there this morning to sight in a new rifle. The staff were courteous and answered my questions in a manner that was unlike most indoor ranges I have been to in the area.I prefer to shoot outdoors, and have several options to do this locally but I like zeroing a rifle in a controlled environment. For those who prefer to shoot indoors, I highly recommend The Range.
This range is very clean, well maintained and well ventilated! If youre a regular shooter in the Central Texas area I would highly recommend checking out The Range. Please do check their calendar regularly and before you go though, they have regular classes and competitions and you dont want to wait around a couple hours because you forgot to check, speaking from experience...
Very unwelcoming staff and uptight. Sometimes I still had a decent experience and the place is clean and flashy, but not worth tolerating the people there
Nice facility, staff is nice enough. I’m a member and the value of membership is definitely something I sometimes question as I don’t really see much benefit since I wait on line essentially the same amount of time as non-members most times. I’ve rented pistols there a few times and that’s been disappointing. At least on 2-3 occasions the guns malfunctioned. When I asked someone to take a look at them each time they said the guns were all modified in some way- one had a different after market trigger that he said “has some issue”, the other was “probably really dirty so I’m not surprised it’s having some issues”. For what they charge to rent guns, I would have thought they’d have apologized and offered either a break on the rental fee or...or something. I thought it would be a nice opportunity to try out some guns I’ve been dying to try out, and then likely buy from them, but no such luck.Great facility; clean, all the bells and whistles, but for the cost of membership, things could run better.
First time visit, and had a great experience.
Nice facility, very expensive. Customer service can be hit or miss. Evan and Thomas were always very helpful though. Can be extremely busy on weekends so call before hand to make sure they have ammo. Had a membership here and took their online LTC class.
The Range is a pretty solid place to shoot. The staff has always been friendly and responsible. It’s a very sterile environment, excellent for testing out new purchases and zeroing your scope. Unfortunately, the patrons are not always so. I had one fellow get upset that my gun was “too loud” and yell obscenities and shine a laser light on my target for the duration of the shoot. I’m not sure how the Range could change stuff like this but as a gun loving nerd, I get a bit uncomfortable around the aggressive bro culture that some people carry into the building.
Helpful and friendly staff, very nice gun range.
First time here loved this place! Staff was friendly and very helpful. This place is state of the art and is place for beginners to experienced shooters. Thanks David for all your help. We will definitely be back!
This range sets the bar high for the Austin area. Reasonable prices, good atmosphere, and a staff of folks who are professional but not snobby. I have had nothing but good experiences here. I don’t always come in with a smile, but I always leave with one. Do not waste your time and money at sub-par ranges. Give your business to these folks, and I’m certain you’ll understand why any amount of time on the I-35 is worth getting a lane here. Don’t ever change a thing about this place, y’all.
Great facility with good people. Like Nordstrom, but with guns. The members lane reservation system could be better, but I wont quit going because of it.
EDIT March 1, 2020I will leave the original text of this review in place to illustrate how a business can change and change the mind of a customer who was adamant about never going again. Because the staff at The Range have done exactly that. I heard from a number of people that the experience had become better. Skeptical I went in one afternoon because they were the only ones who had an item in stock that I wanted to look at. I was ready for the same experience I had previously but was surprised by friendly staff who took their time to help and answer any questions I had. I came back a few days later to give the range itself a try and I was met with politeness and professionalism. I have been back a few times since and have truly enjoyed myself. I can confidently recommend this store again and that makes me very happy.Another terrible trip to The Range. This may be the most modern place in town but its overpriced and the staff are always rude. Its my unfortunate luck that this is the closest place to my house. Ill just drive another 20 miles next time and be treated with some respect.
Took a handgun 101 class with Hank, he was fantastic! First time firing one and felt knowledgeable and comfortable by the end. Plus the place has the coolest displays & is super clean!
1st time. Awesome place. Staff very helpful. The display of guns incredible. Felt like I was in a contemporary museum. Shooting was great and Bill gave me a great tip to improve my shooting. Thank you ....
My wife and I had a lesson with Austin Black at the Range at Austin. We are both novice shooters and Austin made us feel comfortable during the entire experience. The facility was very clean quiet and comfortable. Mr. Black knows his guns and the proper techniques of training. If he could make my wife feel comfortable he can make anyone feel comfortable. I cannot recommend Mr. Black or this facility enough. Our experience was most rewarding
Great place to shoot and to purchase guns. Jerry the sales manager was very thorough and explaining pros and cons about each firearm we were looking at. We also never felt pressure to buy. As well as Josh was able to show my daughter how to grip and properly shoot a gun to make her feel comfortable. They have an amazing staff and I will be back soon. Great Customer Service
One of the best looking and friendliest ranges I’ve been to
Frank did a great job with the LTC class. Fun and gave you the information you needed, along with stressing the responsibilities of a gun.
I finally made it out to the Range today. It is conveniently close to home for me, which is a plus. I was welcomed as soon as I entered the door. I told the gentleman at the front that it was my first time and he directed me to the right place. I met two very helpful gentlemen by the name of Matt and Anthony. They answered all my questions and made me feel very welcomed. I was able to take in my own targets, ammo, weapon, eye and ear protection. Once in the lane, I was greeted by Juan who did an outstanding job showing me the ropes. I will definitely be back.
2 year member as are the rest of my family. Place was decent a while back. Lately? This place is not practicing social distancing or cdc advised guidelines at all, and as the son of 2 doctors and a current worker for Health and Human Services, I can say that that is appalling. Not one person here is wearing a mask or being careful in the slightest. Nobody cares how packed it is in there. My other issue? I just purchased a rifle and had it transferred through their ffl via their gunsmith. The weapon has been sitting in their warehouse for 3 days. The front desk nor the gunsmith office even answered the phone. Left a voicemail and never even heard back. What exactly am I and my family even paying expensive membership fees for? So, they’re gonna sit on a purchased gun for nearly a week when meanwhile people are breaking into gun stores as of late in the area. Ridiculous. At least call someone back. Cancelling our memberships now.
The Range was an amazing range. I took a group of 18 guys here for a bachelor party and it couldn’t have worked out any better. Alfredo was outstanding. He was very nice and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions thoroughly. We had people with us that have shot several times and some that never have at all. The other staff members that supervised us were outstanding as well (my apologies as I do not recall their names). I personally have been to many ranges and this was hands down the best and friendliest I have been to. Thank you so much that made this event a huge success!
First time we shoot of our life. What a great experience. That was amazing.Kyle was awesome.Thank you
Great place for target practice. The staff are all friendly and courteous.
Just went for the second time and, as before, got excellent service and answers to all my questions. Range is new and fresh, not cramped and claustrophobic like some others down in South Austin. System to control the target placement was modern, digital and easy to use, the ventilation and fresh air circulation was Excellent! Brought 4 pistols of my own but saw they rented a Sig P320 RX (the one with a factory red dot) and loved taking that for a 100 round spin too. Overall a 5 star experience. If you have been to the Mission Ridge in San Antonio - this is that same kind of super elevated outfit like that location is. Treat yourself and see how Good GOOD can be!
Every little boys (grown men) dream come true store. The facility is state of the art and the staff is awesome. If Austin and Travis are there still....then you will be in good hands. They have great insight on how you can improve your skills or lack there of.
