After visiting multiple shops throughout Cedar Park and Austin I came across this shop. The previous shop I went to overcharged me to not fix the brakes and told the noise from the engine was normal.Urban Motors found the issue within a minute and squeezed me in immediately. Great pricing, amazing staff, helped me get acquainted with my new scooter and taught me proper care and maintenance.

Such a great staff. We are interested in a few scooters, but none of those that they had on the lot. We had many questions about models, reliability, maintenance and other such stuff.They were happy to help us understand the rides even better since we are new to the smaller bike space. We ended up walking out with only a helmet and an accessory or two, but the knowledge was worth the trip alone.They took a little bit of time out of their incredibly busy days to help out some new people. You cant ask for better customer service.

Wow. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with these guys. I had a terrible experience with two separate mobile scooter repair guys and finally found Greg and the crew here. They were so easy to communicate with, so fast to diagnose the issue and so reasonable with their fees. My sweet scooter is back up and running and I could not be more grateful.

Can be a little pricey, but they stand behind everything they sell so a few extra bucks is well worth the peace of mind that your sale or service order will be backed up. Urban Moto tuned up my scooter and it runs better than it ever has. Their mechanic worked wonders with the accelerator throtle handle making me feel much more confident . They also kindly took my scooter when I forgot to make an appointment. Graciousness in the time of Covid.

I’ve been bringing my Vespa here for years and they always take really good care of me. I trust them completely to work on my bike; they’ve done a handful of miscellaneous repairs and upgrades including a chrome carrier installation, a carb clean out, general tune-up, new tires etc. They’re very transparent about pricing and to have such great care taken, it’s worth the cost in my opinion. If you’re looking to have your moped worked on, you won’t be disappointed bringing it here.

This place is great. I drove 2 hours to get them to do a Malossi cylinder kit on my Vespa 150. Even though we have a scooter shop in College Station I heard such good things about their work that I knew it was worth the drive. Its a little spooky spending over 1000 bucks on a company in another town that youve never done business with but I am so glad I did. The work they did totally transformed my scooter! Ive even surprised a couple of motorcycles by hanging with them in city traffic. Thanks for the great work Urban Moto !!!

These guys and gals are awesome. Greg gave me a sweet deal on a used motorcycle. Ended up buying a helmet and jacket which they also gave me a huge discount on. It was inspected and registered and I was riding away in under an hour. I also mentioned to Greg that I was only keeping this bike for a few months before I upgrade and he offered to help me liquidate it when Im ready to sell it. Dealing with small local dealers is the way to go.

Now, I could have took that as...OH sh%^& its Newton again, or simply they just remember all their Customer, no matter how long its been, and thats how they roll! Lets just go with that! Urban Motorsports is the best! I have been going there since I got my first scooter about 5 years ago and wont go anywhere else. Greg treats you like a valued customer who he is always looking out for. I never feel like I am going to get ripped off or price gauged like I have at mechanics in the past. He is honest and upfront about what work your scooter might need, the cost etc. When my old scooter was in bad shape he helped me find a new one for a great price. I recently picked up a used scooter and went to see these folks to pick up some things for maintenance on it. They were able to source the hard to find parts I needed and got them at a great price. Wonderful experience overall that earned my business now and in the future.

All around amazing people. Everyone I spoke with, worked with and helped me out did a really great job. They could have easily milked me for $600-$800 (I told them what my budget was for what I needed) and instead they charged me what was fair for what I needed vs. what they could get out of me. Thats the type of service I look for, especially in any mechanic space.

Excellent people, excellent service. Great sense of humor and class, and above all: They dont come across as if your only value is to be a potential sale. The first time we went, it was a holiday, and my wife and I were looking for a new helmet for me. We own a very small scooter, and are also considering options to buy a new slightly larger model. Due to the holiday, we noticed the closed sign and were about to walk away. A single salesperson inside was doing paperwork and immediately opened up the store for us. She turned out to be charming and helpful, and gave us lots of fun info on the scooters available. She ordered a giant helmet for my surprisingly large head, and decided to come back when they were fully open. They answered all my questions and helped us figure out some options, and we will certainly be looking back to them when the time comes to buy another scooter.

I bought my Genuine Buddy 125cc scooter here and have brought it there for service since. Theyve always been friendly, helpful and informative. They walked me through the purchasing process (which was a bit daunting) and gladly fixed the trunk latch for free when it was sticking just after I bought it. They were able to quickly diagnose my scooter when I was having trouble with it, and were able to fix it quickly. Theyve taken very good care of both me and my scooter over the last two years, and even though I live pretty far from their location, Im happy to make the commute down there when I need service. Bonus: I get to play with Bailey the dog when I come by!

I looked all over for a scooter that was powerful enough to easily reach 35-40 mph, but was still small and manageable enough for my petite college-age daughter to handle in Houston. Mel at Urban Motorsports spent an hour with me explaining the Genuine Buddy 125 and the different options, and I took one for a test drive. I knew it was the right bike, but my daughter went to the Genuine dealer in Houston to see it in person, and ended up buying one there. Im sorry Mel didnt make a sale after all her help, but she didnt care, she was just happy we had found the right scooter for my daughter.

Worked with Val at Urban Moto Shop last weekend to select and purchase a scooter (I went with the Buddy 170i). She was extremely knowledgeable and courteous to deal with to say the least. Shes passionate about scooters and it shows. Id highly recommend them if youre in the market for a scooter.As for the scooter itself, Ive only had it for a few days, but it is everything I could ask for and more. Coming from owning several motorcycles over the years, I was expecting to be nothing but disappointed in a scooter but Ive had a smile on my face every time I take it out.

Urban did a great job helping me purchase my first scooter, and followed it up with my 2nd scooter as well. I walked in knowing what I wanted, ready to drop $6k on an upgraded model during their back to school sale with 3 year warranty and roadside assistance. After negotiating pricing for 2 weeks, being offered a lower trade-in value than negotiated with the boss, then then tried to downgrade me to only a 2 year standard warranty.All in all- make sure you double check your paperwork. Great service, but be leery of the promotions.

I have a 1988 Honda Elite that would not stay on. I took it to another shop and had two friends look at it / try to help, but still couldnt get it going. I took it to Urban Motorsports, and BOOM its running better than ever! They were upfront about costs, kept me updated when my parts took awhile to come in and even threw in a new mirror that they just had laying around for free. My only regret is that I didnt discover them sooner. 10/10 would recommend!!!

I was recently on the look out for a scooter and I stumbled into this shop having LITTLE clue what i was doing. Everyone I spoke too was more than helpful and kind. I ended up not spending a single dime and they STILL ended advising me on a purchase I made from another scooter dealer. Let that sink in, they offered to help me find the right scooter elsewhere, even though I didnt end up spending any money with them. Its clear to me that these wonderful people have one interest and thats getting more people on the road. I will be upgrading my scooter soon and you better believe I will spend every last dime with them. I have never experienced this kind of service anywhere, let alone a place I didnt spend any money at. They earned me as a life time customer and they deserve you too.

I looked at other dealerships that sold Yamaha and Honda scooters first. Urban Motorsports offered me a new 150cc scooter with a 2 year warranty for the same price that other dealerships were trying to sell me a 50cc scooter with a 1 year warranty. So I dont know how they do it, but this place offers way better value for your money. They are also friendly and easy to work with and have helped me maintain my moped since I purchased it.

After hours, I was looking through the window, and JT opened the door to see if we needed any help. I told him we just moved from Seattle, WA to down the block and we were killing time walking off our dinner. He stood there for 15-20 min answering questions and telling us about the inventory and service dept. Thank you JT! I hope your company appreciates you as much as we do.

Prejudice mtfs had my scooters 2 months broke my light blinkers not working Every bolt was missing as well.... Charged me $180 for a new ignition switch... smh

I dont really ever find myself writing reviews, but the people at Urban Moto deserve some honest feedback. Simply put, theyre best damn scoot shop in town, if not anywhere. Im know my scoots well and spend a fair amount of time wrenching on them too, but if its a job I cant tackle I take it to Greg and his team. Him, JT, and the others do some thorough work and theyre the only ones I trust to touch my scoots besides myself. Everyone there is great to work with, not only in Service, but also in Sales. Even if youre starting out and just getting something small like a helmet, theyll take care of you and ensure you get whats best for you...and no, I wasnt paid to write this. ;) Just give them a look if youre needing to get your scoot fixed, or wanting to upgrade from that China scoot!

On a whim I decided to purchase a scooter for fun and maybe to save a little money riding it to work and to run errands. I did some research and found out about Genuine and then saw the Buddy 170is. I live in Pflugerville so this was a trip to go all of the way South to look at something I had only read about. I did have a little trouble finding Urban Moto, but good things are worth looking for. Even though I really had no plans to purchase a scooter that day, I was won over by the Genuine Buddy 170i and the genuine good feelings from the staff at Urban Moto. I bought my Buddy 170i right then and there. I have had nothing but outstanding experiences with all of the staff at the store. Yes sometimes they dont answer the phone right away, but it usually means they are taking good care of a customer. (Good customer service takes some time and effort.) The service is worth the wait, the scooter is worth its weight in gold. Val and John are great. Kudos and thanks for everything. Looking forward to many good years of fun on my scoot.

My wife and i made the mistake of buying a scooter from this wretched place a couple of years ago. It was used, but in good condition. However, i found the exact same scooter in better condition a few days later for way less. I wrote it off as a fluke and moved on.My next interaction with them was when i accidentally knocked the scooter over, and needed a brake lever. They told me they would have to order one. My wife also went by, as she did not know i had called, and they just gave her one after telling me they didnt have it. I wrote it off as a miscommunication.Most recently, there was an issue with the scooter i couldnt fix. We took it to them, thinking that since we bought it from them, that would be the thing to do. I couldnt have been more wrong. They replaced the rear wheel which was supposedly the problem, and did not do anything we actually asked them to do additionally. My guess is,they also replaced the rear shock with one that was blown, since it was fine when it went in. They drained the gear oil, and caused another issue that has made the scooter knock when it warms up. To add insult to injury, when confronted about it the only reply was, Take your business elsewhere.Ive encountered my fair share of disreputable shops, and this place takes the cake. I had another mechanic look at the rear wheel, and they couldnt find a problem with it. $250 later, my ride is in worse shape than it was when i started. Avoid this place if you value yours.

A few days ago, as I was preparing to sell our buddy blackjack purchased here in 2014, I was thinking back on my mainly unsatisfactory interactions with this business over the past several years since I first started riding a genuine buddy Italia purchased new from this shop back in 2010. And I put this one star review up to reflect my feelings about this business, but didnt have time so there werent any words included. I am now adding my opinion of this business in words to make it clear how I feel, because two days after I posted my one star review with no words I received a call and a voicemail from the owner threatening to sue me for defamation if I didnt remove my one star review. There were also things said in the voicemail that were insulting and personally intrusive. Additionally, the owner mentioned that he personally contacted my relatives regarding the matter, which they have nothing to do with. I had already lost all my respect for this business, but now I feel a whole new level of disappointment. I felt that this review would be useful for any Austinites looking to have a scoot serviced here. I kept returning here in hopes that each next encounter would be better than the last, but unfortunately I finally had to give up on this business. I personally will never trust them again with any of my future rides. But, in my opinion, if you do plan to get service here, just be wary, thoroughly ducument the state of your ride before it goes in, do in depth research to verify that the diagnosis actually makes sense, double check everything after service, and re-document the state of your ride before leaving the lot. Everything I have written here is my honest opinion and experience, and at no point do I claim to present any facts of false nature. My only intent is to put forth some helpful insight.

Took my bike here for carb cleaning and tune up. Within 48 hours of picking up the bike it wouldnt start. Didnt want to spend another $80 to tow it back to a place that didnt do a satisfactory job the first time around, so I asked if Id be reimbursed for the towing. The guy I spoke with insinuated that it was my fault (the bike ran completely fine when it left) but told me they would if they were in the wrong. Didnt trust them enough to take them up on that offer. Took it to another mechanic who told me that there were missing pieces inside the carb and that it looked like someone had tried to clean it but they did a terrible job.Tl;dr - they are dishonest and poor mechanics.

So, Greg is great.Honest, friendly guy; always a pleasure.However, Greg doesnt handle all customers.Many times one will get the unfortunate experience of dealing with the surly red head chick who always seems to have just chugged a pot of coffee. She huskily hurls customer service phrases at you (youre very important to us, etc.), as if the words burn her mouth. She rushes every conversation like the customer interrupted field surgery. Once, in person, while I was speaking to Greg at the counter, she approached with such impatient indulgence she practically tapped her foot trying to interrupt, for an answer to a standing issue in their service queue....while a customer intake was being completed.I havent minded doing business here before, but the ginger grump certainly makes reconsideration worthy; having left me feeling the need to apologize for inconveniencing her with my business.
