Absolutely LOVED their coffee! I like to get a hot black Americano the first time I go to any coffee shop to get a sense of their baseline, and I was blown away. It reminds me of when I went to Costa Rica and had fresh coffee there. Fruity, aromatic, hold, delicious. 10/5 stars!

Coffee is good but Im taking a star off because employees are selective about who has to wear a mask. If I walk up and see you maskless talking to another customer Im not wearing a mask. Please dont huff about it and put your mask on which makes me feel uncomfortable. Ive been vaccinated for months.EDIT: The issue I have is with employees selectively wearing masks. When I walked up both the employee and customer were not wearing a mask.

With the pandemic, Ive been trying to shop as local as possible. The coffee that these guys sell is so good! Ive been through every flavor just to try each; if you like a dark, even roast with a great body, the Concord is it! The peaberry is also beyond delightful. I come in about every two weeks to restock. As long as they are in business I will continue to buy their coffee!

Their coffees tend to have a lot of aroma and citrus flavors. Top shelf coffee to take home as well. A nice change from just nutty and dark coffee from other places.

OK, I have to give credit where credit is due. Im on a break from milk and milk alternatives right now, so I cant have my usual capps. But the ad caught my eye and I asked my coworker to do the coffee run here, bringing me a double espresso with a splash of hot water. Nothing worse than an americano with too much water. It came back with about an inch of water, and was immediately DELICIOUS from the first sip. Not even going to dilute it more, its perfect for what Im craving. Nice, fun, interesting coffee (a little bit fruity, but not overly so) and a major departure from what youll get at most places. Cant wait to try more drinks here when I can!

I get it. This is Portland and the burbs. Coffee shops are a dime a dozen. Thats true. But that doesnt mean theyre all good. You have to weed out the excess and focus on the excellent.This is the spot to drop in around downtown Beaverton. Theres no drive through, so you have to park and walk up, but its worth it. Its not in a busy area. Get yourself a car wash at Beaverton Car Wash and grab some good coffee.They sell muffins and cookies as well. Their house coffee is great. Judge a place by their house coffee, black. Not by the sugary drinks anyone can make taste good.Super friendly staff too!If youre around the area, make a stop.

I like there coffee and really think $16 usd for a 12 oz bag is pretty steep.

The coffee here is very good, but its a step below Intelligentsia or Stumptown. The service is good, but the grinder is not adjusted correctly. If you want coffee ground for French press, it needs to be set for much coarser than the machines French press setting.

This is perfectly balanced, rich flavor which has been precisely roasted to account for the brewing heat and its impact on the ending flavor of the coffee!They have whole bean coffee to go thats fresh, and several options that satisfy a varied palate. My bag was roasted only three days before pickup.The pastries they serve are fresh and some incorporate the coffee flavoring as well. The options they offer are hand picked and pair well with the menu.This place is definitely worth the stop and a gem thats quickly blossoming from its humble beginnings! I only wish they had a couple tables for stopping in with friends to indulge!

A nest little setup with a walkup window and not much else. Parking could be an issue on a busy day. Otherwise, the man that took my order was friendly and helpful. The Macchiato was good, and well pulled.I purchased a bag of coffee which they happily ground for me, to the coarseness I was looking for. It was fun to be able to see into the roasting operation on the side.No food that I noticed and prices are market value. Nothing flashy, but a good cup of coffee.

Seriously! This place MADE us coffee snobs! Our brother-in-law used to own a coffee shop and roasted his own beans. When he came into town, he sniffed this place out and schooled us on quality coffee! We were enlightened!! It’s all we drink and serve to our guests. We’ve been drinking Thornton’s Family Coffee for 2 years now and haven’t looked back. They’re artisans at their trade and family owned! We feel so blessed that we can purchase such high quality coffee our within our own home town. If you haven’t tried it...you’re missing out!

Cold brew was fantastic

They know what customer service is all about. They helped us out of a difficult situation in troubling times. Went above and beyond with grinding some beans for us. We bought a bag of their Roasters Choice and it made a delicious cup of truly fresh coffee. Pleasant staff were kind enough to make burr grinder recommendations. When I initially spoke to Kris on the phone he was extremely helpful and very accommodating. Thank you again! We intend on returning to support a great business in the near future. This first visit left a fantastic impression.

Family owned walk-up Coffee bar which doubles as a roastery. Service with a smile and always good coffee. Try the Iced-vanilla latte.Great place for a socially distanced afternoon pick-me-up. Usually we lounge around in the parking lot outside or on the side catching up with friends and colleauges.

Beavertons best coffee roasters! This family has been in the coffee business for years and were lucky to have them in our community. You can purchase bags of whole beans or your favorite drink at the walk up cafe window. Friendly service and fantastic coffee! What more could you ask for?

There are so many choices for great coffee in Portland, and so many places that roast their own beans and make great drinks. The ones that really stick out to me, though, are the places that have all of these things and great customer service and personnel. Thornton is one of these places. They make great coffee, and have great beans, and they are always friendly. I will gladly drive out of my way to Thornton to support them. Highly recommended!

I decided to try this small local shop when I saw it on my way home. I was greeted by Sarah who was welcoming, informative and a fun person to chat with. I ordered a latte and was stunned by how incredible the coffee is!! I have finally found my favorite coffee place !! I also purchased 2 bags of coffee. One a blend with Ethiopian and one a smokey blend they use for their lattes! I will be back constantly!

Stopped by to get beans for use with espresso maker at home. Got a bag of the Concord. They also recommend the Peru, so got that as well. Both are tasty, but the Peru Monteverde is next level.

There is a lot of good coffee in Portland, now there’s great coffee and it’s on the west side. The service is super friendly and knowledgeable. We grab a couple bags of beans every couple weeks that keeps our cups full and our addiction satisfied.

Quality latte I had but I was look at NG for espresso beans for home, and while they had them for the same latte I had, it was very fruity with slight bitter at the end. Still good but not the caramel I expect from espresso beans. They only have a walk up window for coffee and buying items. If you are coming here I was yolf your u can park in front of the loading bays out front.

Its smooth and flavorful without the bitterness and acidity I usually associate with coffee. They roast their beans and brew the coffee right there in the shop! Best coffee shop Ive found outside of Portland. Pleasant staff who care about the quality of their drinks. I came across this shop because I was getting my car washed next door and I popped over. Ive been back many times now and the coffee is always delicious.

Just stopped by this new coffee shop after my friend posted it to Facebook. They roast their own beans. I tried the cold brew and it was strong but delicious. You wont find this place if you arent looking for it as its down a side street near the new food cart pod.

Paul and Rachel are incredibly passionate and skilled coffee roasters and baristas. They seem to truly enjoy sharing any knowledge about beans, roasting, and brewing. The quality coming out of here whether a brewed cup or a drawn shot is just absolutely incredible.

The service attendant was very kind and willingly shared her favorite coffee tastes helping us select a bean. She also offered a tasting.
