I originally started at mattress depot and was royally lied to. I called here and asked if they had the bed brand I was looking at. They said yes, I went over and it was not the exact same one but super comfortable and better than other one found. The service was excellent and price was fantastic.

Worse still, it was stuck in the straight up position. I called the warehouse looking for a miracle, and I got one. I say miracle, but I think you know him as Michael. Michael and the warehouse crew shuffled things around, and in under 3 hours he showed up and had our bed up and running like new!As he left, he said, Have a great day and I said, and a great night too, thanks to you!Thank you.

Was not impressed with the salesman’s tactics. Very aggressive and negative comments about competitors is not a good look to me. There are many better options in the Portland area to get your bed.

Walked in looking for a Queen size set for less than $400. Was told by the owner to try craigslist.Went to Mattress Firm and got exactly what I was looking for, and received far better customer service.

The customer service was great! We worked with Thai and he helped go through all our options. This is the second mattress we bought from him.

If I could give this review 100 stars I would. Heres why:Mattress World NW helped us out a few months ago by selling us a floor model mattress at a discount for my father-in-law, who had been hit by a van in a parking lot and now needed an adjustable bed to help get him in and out of bed. Thai was the one who helped us out and he was by far and away the nicest, most considerate, most patient, most knowledgeable (I could go on) salesperson I have ever worked with involving a large ticket purchase.The mattress was delivered, the delivery crew were super respectful, they set up the mattress, they even sat down with Papi (my father-in-law) to guide him through using the control for the adjustable frame. Thats not the end of the story.We went in last weekend, and again worked with Thai to help us find a mattress during their Memorial Day sale. We selected a mattress and paid for it.Three days later, I was laid off from work.I called Mattress World NW the next day to let them know that unfortunately, I was going to have to cancel the purchase. They said no problem. I went to the store. There other salesperson/manager Justin was working. He was the same wonderful, decent person Thai was.He shared with me that he was really sorry to hear that I was laid off from work. He then said that he had called Thai to break the bad news about the canceled sale. He then explained Thai felt terrible and called Sean Hathaway the owner of the company and shared the bad news. Sean Hathaway then gave Thai and Justin permission to offer me not only an additional discount, but also offered a 48 month, no interest plan if we still wanted to keep the mattress.Ive worked solid for 30 years straight for some truly great companies and some that werent so great. I wish any one of them had the same consistent class from bottom to top, and truly empowered their people to literally dial the CEO/Owner on the phone the way Sean and Mattress World NW does. This is a great locally owned company that clearly cares about their community and their people, which Im willing to gladly pay for.A truly heartfelt thanks from the Merritts!! My fiancé and I have had the same old mattress for a long time and had never purchased a mattress before. The amazing friendly and knowledgable staff that just wanted the best choice for us. It wasn’t about the price for the sales team it was about what was comfortable. They gave us time and space to converse among ourselves. We asked questions about different types of products and they had answers for all of the questions with visuals and great comparisons coupled with it.An additional note, during this pandemic we did not think we would be able to lay down on many mattresses or at all, but they have a sanitary solution and correct protection to be operating during these tough times. Some places will only take your old ones if you pay their high delivery fee. Thai was very friendly and helpful, and we didnt feel pressured to purchase immediately.

We stopped by over the very busy weekend sale and found the salespeople and manager to be friendly, low-pressure, and knowledgeable. Our salesman was Sean and we appreciated his patience and help steering us in the direction of a mattress set that would fit our needs best. The delivery guys arrived slightly early, so no complaints there. We had a couple of questions after the mattress set was delivered, and our salesperson was easy to contact and answered all or our questions. Overall, I couldnt be happier with our new mattress or the customer service. And I think they do have very competitive prices.

Too bad that zero stars are not available. I do not recommend purchasing any product from this company. I do not recommend doing business with this company. While the salespersons are very nice and this is certainly not their fault, the products are extremely poor quality for too much money and their warranty department and customer service after the sale are appalling. Weve effectively lost our initial purchase price, the extra money we paid to upgrade to a better mattress after only 10 months... not to mention the money we had to spend on a different mattress from someone else only nine months after that. Please avoid.

I had a positive experience at this location earlier today. Another chain I went to had a salesman who approached me in full-on schmoozy car salesperson fashion, but Jose at Mattress World was very polite and chill. Let us take all the time we needed. The other staff were polite and relaxed as well. Ive bought many mattresses over the years and I think this was the lowest pressure experience Ive had, which I appreciate.

Both delivery persons were polite and very careful. Frame was demonstrated to me AND I was asked to sit on my bed to assure the height was acceptable.This is my 3rd purchase from Matress World.Its now 6wks and all I can say is if you have a choice to purchase an adjustable frame, do It!

I was very impressed by the salesmans product knowledge. He steered us toward the smaller brands and told us not to waste our money on big name brands. He did not try to upsell us. The mattress we ordered had to be shipped from Arizona. It arrived in town when they said it would and was delivered to our house within the predicted time window. After only a few days we knew it was much softer than the store model. It must have been mislabeled. Mattress World immediately replaced it with a new mattress, delivering the new one the next day - New Years Eve. They assured us that we had not used our 101 night exchange. The new mattress is exactly what we expected.

I purchased several beds from this company. I moved and needed a smaller footprint in my room so I sent in and ordered a frame without a footboard for my bed. I was having knee replacement surgery so I needed to get the bed situated before the surgery I told the salesman what I was looking for and he said they had to order it. I paid $149 and they said they would call when it came in. About a week later they called and I picked it up. My an came over to put it together. When they were finished I went in and it was a frame with bigger footboard rails than I previously had . We took the frame apart and I went in to the store. The woman said there were no returns on floorboards . I asked for a manager. She had to call Gresham. The manager said to replace it . However the correct frame was less money and I could get no refund. They said theyll when it came in. Its been over 6 months and still no call ill never shop there again. By the was I was buying $3000 mattresses, not cheap ones.

Me and my fiancé were mattress shopping, and mattress world was our first and last stop. We looked at a total of 5 places. No one had as large of a variety of beds. Everyone else was spewing lies. Trying to steer us towards the most expensive bed. When we went to mattress world we were greeted by Ryan. Super cool guy. Listened to what we wanted. Told us some price deals they had goin on. Wasnt pushy, didnt tell us what we wanted or needed. And was just straight forward. And he didnt get mad when we said we were going to look elsewhere. I have never had a better or easier mattress shopping experience. Ryan did everything he could to stay within our budget. Especially when it came down to the deposit. Well, sad to say, since I am returning my so called new mattress set after 1st night, checking to make sure all tags were on, (they state any tags missing, then no returns). I knew right away my Hathaway mattress felt softer than the showroom model. After the 1st night, I wanted to return this Hathaway bed, since it hurt my back. And because the delivery men were so quick to throw my box springs and mattress on my bed frame, I did not get to do an inspection myself, because I was around the corner for a split second. My neighbors had to help lift my mattress today to look for tags. What we found was shocking and upsetting, the bottom of my supposedly new mattress was covered with old stains. The foundation/ box springs had stains as well, old stains, lots of them, big and small. I was given a used mattress and box springs and told they were new. Shocking! The weird thing is the top of the mattress looked clean; I had no idea the bottom of the mattress was soiled and stained, until I lifted the mattress up looking for tags. Actually, I cried after discovering it there; I felt betrayed.All I could say was tell the owner to get quality control. Upon calling the sales person today and reporting the stains and recommending telling the owner to improve quality control, his response was that all the employees have worked for the company over at the warehouse for years. Well, get someone else in there now that can take care of business, instead of loosing it. He wanted to argue with me about how great the employees are over at the warehouse. If I was representing his company, I would agree with the customer, saying this should have never happened telling the customer, management will be informed about the quality control issue right away. He should not get irritated with a customer/me and say I am not going to bad mouth my company. Really, it’s not about you .....your in sales.Anyway, I took lots of pictures for the company. I hope they can fix the problem, because they will loose business fast with continued problems like this one. I uploaded pictures showing what they call a NEW mattress set delivery, but it is undoubtedly a USED Mattress delivery. It says right on my sales receipt “New” Newport Mattress set, paid in full. What’s goin on over at the warehouse and the Newport Hathaway mattress was not only used but way softer than the show room model I tested and laid on in the store.I am willing to go with a New Sealy Posturepedic Mattress set for a straight across exchange, with no delivery fees and no restocking fees. Hathaway and Sealy Posturepedic are exactly comparable in price. For now, I am trusting the Sealy Posturepedic over the Mattress World Northwest company, brand name, Hathaway. I wish Hathaway the best. Please look over your quality control at the manufacturing plant in Tualatin where Hathaway is manufactured, Tualatin Sleep Products. I recommend a quality check for construction and tag issues and oversee the warehouse employees and delivery drivers, teaching quality control for the sake of running a successful business. I felt my bed was a really a soft Seaside and tagged as a Newport. Or maybe the problem is coming from the employees making the mattresses over in Tualatin for the Hathaway brand and they just don’t care about quality production, and hate their job. Who knows?I hope you can remedy this bad situation in such away to make me a happy customer. My last mattress set was a Sealy Posturepedic Body Free from Mattress World. I had it for 12 years and loved sleeping on it.Thanks for your time in this very important issue.Ann

Absolutely the best mattress shopping experience we have ever had! Who knew mattress shopping could be some much fun. I bought a mattress here before I went to college several years ago, and decided this was the first place I wanted to go to look for my next mattress with my girlfriend. I was delighted to find out that my first experience was not a fluke! Ryans customer service went above and beyond what anyone might expect when trying out mattresses. He was very respectful of our budget, and was incredibly knowledgeable about all the cutting edge mattress technology. He was there when we needed him, and gave us time to just lay around on a few once we had narrowed down our choices. My only complaint is that Ryan didnt hide the super fancy, aireloom pillows from my girlfriend, because now she wants one, but who can blame her, those pillows were awesome!

Amazing.We began shopping for a mattress yesterday, admittedly somewhat distrustful of the industry - not sure what kind of deal we would get, or gimmicks we would have to decipher during the selling process.Our first stop was downtown PDX. Not a bad experience, just not sold on the comfort/options.Our 2nd stop, and to our surprise our last stop, was Mattress World Northwest. We truly intended to research more options and make a decision at a later date - however the salesman (Ryan) was absolutely amazing. Within his first sentence it became clear that he was a very professional sales person. He wasnt trying to snare us, or sell us just any used car - rather he immediately instilled confidence and trust. He had excellent product knowledge, and was quickly able to help us narrow down the options - and we subsequently made our choice. He completed the selling process with exacting details on the options/delivery information, etc. Wow, what a great buying experience. I highly recommend this shop, and Ryan in particular.
