I love this place! It is a good place to study as a student. The staff is really nice. Their food and coffee is really good! My favorite drink is the Nutella Latte which 10/10
2nd time Ive had to write a bad review only because I kept giving this place chances and even communicated the problems to corporate but theyve only gotten worse. Ive even asked them to take certain items off the menu since theyre never available and it has wasted my time like 5 times now on wasted trips. I even call in ahead of time to avoid the problem and no one answers the phones or inaccurate info comes from employees at other locations. I would avoid this place. Way to many complications.
The baristas working there were so committed to great service and very friendly! Most importantly, the drinks and food on your menu tasted great!
Have been eagerly awaiting this to open since the HEB opened and they did not disappoint! We got a vanilla latte and the Viet Coffee and both were the best we’ve had in a while. And to top it off, VERY friendly staff who took the time to explain the difference between pour over coffee and drip coffee. Will be back in the future!
The coffee (chefs blend) was fresh and had a full flavor. The food menu is limited on weekdays, but the coffee cake was excellent!
This place is so good, its worth stopping in whether or not you need something from HEB. The service is top notch! Helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The food is fresh and delicious, and the drinks are satisfying and well made. Try the Aztec Spiced Cocoa with an added shot of espresso. Perfect for knocking the edge off a chilly day or a persistent craving!
Sal and his co-worker were very nice. It was my friends birthday, and they gave her a free pecan muffin, and it was our first time there. She also enjoyed a Egg-Nog Latte which I purchased for her. Thank you for making her day brighter! We will definitely be returning!
Surprising and low-key brunch spot. The chicken and waffles is especially good. Coffee was also great. Service was average to good.
Its kool. Price is expensive. Better off going to * buckz
Prices are a bit steep but the food is quality and tasty. Most of the time the people working in there are really sweet and helpful.
I walked in today between 1pm and 3pm and said hello and the young lady breaking down boxes behind the counter looked me square in the face with a frown and didn’t utter a single word. She literally refused to return the greeting. I was going to buy a coffee to combat a blood sugar dip but I walked out without ordering because that young lady wanted nothing more than for me not to be there and I refuse to beg her for service she didn’t want to give. Luckily once I entered HEB proper people were handing out samples (I bought everything I tasted) which righted my blood sugar quickly. There was no reason for to not return my greeting. None. Rude for the fun of it? Thankfully everyone else I encountered in HEB was stellar. Hopefully no one else with a chronic issue will be treated the way I was at this coffee shop. It’s so annoying because it was just so unnecessary. maybe it was because I was dressed down? I don’t know but it was truly upsetting.
The best little donuts. I dont like donuts, but these are very special. Perfect size for people who dont want all that dough. Delicious smoked salmon sandwiches. Its in the heb. Go.
I absolutely LOVE The Roastery! I visit at least 3 times every single week. My one and only gripe is with the kale salad. I buy the kale salad every time, but today and one occassion before, the kale salad was made with a mayonnaise-based dressing, as opposed to the anchovy vinaigrette, as stated on the menu and the sticker. When I went today, I was given a side of the tangy mayonnaise-based dressing for my kale salad. When I asked for the usual anchovy vinaigrette that typically accompanies the salad, I was told the the mayonnaise dressing and the anchovy vinaigrette were the same. Not true, and quite disappointing.
Do not buy the groupon for this location. My girlfriend bought one for this location. We bought two lattes. The cashier asked if we had a problem with whole milk. We didn’t think anything of it until after tasting the coffee. Sour aftertaste, and upset stomachs. We have never had a problem with milk in our coffee before this. Other Roasters have had great taste in their lavender latte and vanilla lattes. We love the North Shepherd location so we’re not biased against The Roastery. We both really like coffee and wanted to give this location a shot. I feel the barista at this location may just not have cared about what they were doing and left the milk out too long and it spoiled? Or was it expired? I don’t want to know now but I do not recommend. Maybe advise skipping the milk.
I bought the hot chocolate and I told them to make it a little sweeter than usual. This was the most bitter hot chocolate Ive ever tasted!!! Ill probably try 2 other drinks before I put the nail in the coffin and never go back though. Maybe hot chocolate just isnt there thing.
I like the nitro brew their lattes are great too. My husband loves the place. The outdoor sitting area is covered with quiet fans. Love this place
This is my new favorite place. The customer service was great!
A patient I have told me about this place, I’ve never been. Came in this morning(going out of my on the way to work) and staff was not welcoming at all, not a smile, no good morning, acted like she was not happy about waking up this morning. If I like the coffee I may try another location but that’s a big maybe.
Delicious coffee, yummy mini donuts including Apple Cider which are so hard to find here in H town! Staff was so nice. Glad to have this and can’t wait for the Heights locations to open!
Poorly trained baristas who don’t know how to operate the espresso machines. I saw every other shot having to be thrown out because something went wrong, not to mention one time she didn’t even put the cup under the spout! Consistently slow service every time I’ve been there. Not living up to the high standards HEB sets for customer service.
The best cortado in the city, by far! Fresh bakery and great service too. Houston coffee scene went up on another level...
This is the second time I’ve been to a Roastery and the decaf latte is just as bad as it was the first time. I’ve gotten it with almond and oat milk. Plus I got a teeny tiny cup and it was almost $5.
Couldn’t even find the place. It has directed me to HEB and in the middle of the road. Spent 15 mins going around circles trying find this place and then I gave up.
I felt like the drink was average service average nothing bad to say but nothing great. Its convenient if you are going to shop at the HEB its situated inside.
Totally bitchin’... Sarah and Sal rocked it. My new favorite spot!
If ur going to the roastery for the aesthetics just keep in mind it’s in HEB and its quite small .. the coffee and sandwiches are super tasty so if ur just going for the coffee then thats great but don’t expect to take snap worthy pics unless ur gonna sit outside
Handcrafted coffee drinks and friendly service
Fresh Organic Coffee & European Snacks & friendly Staff
The price on beet and wine is WAY over priced! We paid over $16 for 1 beer and one half glass of wine. No prices were listed.
The worst coffee ever 👎
Excellent
