We needed our dishwasher replaced through our Sears warranty. An associate showed us where the dishwashers were and answered some basic questions and left us alone, which was fine because we definitely needed some time to think and compare. We ended up going with a Samsung dishwasher. We got help with the rest of the purchase with the store manager who was realistic with us about our needs, because we almost went with the Bosch dishwasher and the manager made sure to let us know that those are a European brand that only uses cold water to clean and being Middle Eastern it wont clean the types of food we eat. The manager was knowledgeable about the products we looked at, and patient with us as well since we had to call the warranty department as well during our visit.

This Store is going out of business. Decent while it lasted although you could periodically find stuff on the shelf that never sold for two decades; rubber gloves that turned to dust for instance - that was an interesting experience. Employees were always nice.

Tried to order an appliance. After research by the salesperson, a unit was found that could be delivered when needed. The next day I was called and told delivery could not be done until the next week. Spoke with the store manager who informed me he found another unit. When no call was received the night before delivery, I had to call the warehouse myself. They informed me there was no delivery to be made. I returned to the store the next day and they told me they could not issue a return and gave me a printout from the warehouse saying the order was cancelled. A week later, the charges are still on my account and I had to file a dispute with the bank to have then pursue the return. All along with the multiple customer service people I spoke with, no one could explain why the store didn’t issue the return when they knew they couldn’t deliver. Horrible, horrible service. Went to Maytag, had the unit I wanted and it was delivered the next day. NO problems. Wake up Sears, lost yet another customer.By the way, very professional that the area manager posted his own positive review. Compensating are we?

Was a quick visit to get some tools. The place was clean with plenty of parking. I like the limited size of it with a focus on tools and some appliances. The staff was friendly. I did have some trouble finding the items I was looking for as they seemed to have similar items at 2 different locations.

Recognized as 2014 Premier Store. Completely remodeled and renovated to serve the customers better. New Management in place with highly trained and motivated employees with focus on CONNECT culture. The store manager has hired some of the good Sears employees from Alsip and Orland Park Stores that were unfortunately closed last year. Sears Price Matching policies and Price Guarantees along with Shop Your Way Rewards makes it even greater way to save at this Sears location.

Horrible customer service. Sears used to have a no hassle return policy. I couldnt return an item i got less than 24 hrs earlier and the cashier even remembered me. I did misplace my receipt, but really, one day and they even remembered me. I was told they can use the card I purchased on. I gave them the card and it did not come up. I was offered a gift card (for a business that is disappearing), but wont be back so whats the use. Good thing home depot & lowes are across the street. When I got home, i checked my card on line and sure enough, I did use the card I gave the manager, I also noticed the gift card offered was for less then 1/2 what I paid. I went back on Monday, saw a different person, got a full refund on my card in less than 5 minutes. I still dont know if the manager on the weekend did not know what they were doing or was just plain trying to rip me off, but even after the full refund, still wont be back now that I can get my Craftsman tools at other retailers.

They dont even deserve 1 star. Id give them ZERO stars if possible. WORST PLACE EVER. Delivered our dryer damaged and have had to reschedule 3 times for delivery/install.This has been the WORST experience. We came on Thanksgiving to order our new washer and dryer because it was a great price. We set up the delivery date and thought that everything would be fine. THEN when they came to deliver they said that the hoses they had wouldnt reach (you could connect TWO hoses together to make it long enough) so they left. We THEN had to RESCHEDULE A DELIVERY DATE FOR TWO WEEKS LATER. They said that they would be there at 7:45am. They DID NOT COME UNTIL 8:30. My husband had to leave work to be there for the delivery. The dryer was DAMAGED and the original guy who came to deliver failed to tell us that we needed TWO HOSES. So now we have to reschedule for yet another time. This business seriously sucks. I cannot believe this is how you run a business/treat your customers. We have bent over backwards to get these washers and dryers delivered/installed.This will be the last time that we order from Sears for any appliances and I will tell everyone not to shop here.

Purchased a Samsung washer after the saleswoman verified it would fit with the pedestal we already had. Well, surprise, it DID NOT FIT. Called the store and left message for the store manager, Kevin, to call us. That was three days ago. Havent heard from him. Wrote to corporate, they said to call store manager. And around and around it goes! We are senior citizens and it is very difficult to remove the clothes from the washer because it is so low without the pedestal. I guess they get your money and are done with you.

Sears Hardware future looks a little bleak. They need to step it up and put more items on the floor, like tvs. Its a shame because were loosing the great personal one on one service from smaller stores in America. We already lost most of the Ma & Pa stores to the big box stores.

Finding someone on automotive can be challenging. Yes, I did go to the automotive lobby and office was empty. I had to go to checkout in the main area. I just wanted to purchase a riding mower battery. Once inside a sales rep kept telling me he thinks I have to buy the battery in automotive area. I advised I tried and no one was around. I informed the sales rep that myself and several other customers were wanting assistance in automotive and no one could be found...even in the lobby. The sales rep in the main floor area seem annoyed that I wanted to buy a battery and kept referring about how I might need to have the automotive dept check me out. Are you kidding, its just a riding mower battery. The sales rep kept stalling and referring to the automotive dept. Finally after 10 mins of talking with the main floor rep at the checkout counter, he checked me out. I almost said forget it and Ill go to home depot to buy a battery. Something that should have been a 5 min process took 20 mins.

Called me in morning and said order ready for pick up. I go in the evening and they like your order is not here.Sears really sucks. Order was placed 2 months ago and they charged it back then for it.Im glad sears is bank corrupt. They deserve it. Customer service, online all sucks.UPDATE: Email twice to so called Sales Manager, Never got any Response. This review is not Changing. Its Dec 4th, Three items were Ordered on Sept 29, and suppose to be available on Nov 29th, Received email yesterday that one item is available for pick up...Are you kidding me.

Beware as eyeballing the accuracy of machining keys or other parts is not a known form of quality control.Tried to have some keys made, they didnt work at all. The staff tried to eyeball the accuracy and replaced one. Of course it didnt work either. This staff was trying to convince us that their eyes can see what no one else can. The staff should buy a car where the parts where all made and checked by eyeballing, see if it works.

Just left there (5:30pm) didn’t see another customer until I was leaving.Two mature salesmen standing there shooting the breeze.One young guy sitting down at Customer service on his phone; no one ever asked if I needed help.I needed light bulbs for my Liftmaster garage opener, the Rough Service; didn’t see it so I left those caring employees.

I called the Sears home delivery service who directed my call to the new Manager of this location regarding a mixed up delivery from a different location. The Manager investigated the matter and the sale person called me to clarify the situation about the wrong order. He quickly offered to re-work the order and deliver the product next day. The new management is doing a great job.

Tried to use their U-haul rental service. Reserved everything online. In the store they could not access the system despite pulling up my reservation. Then the employees proceeded to complain their computers and Internet havent been working for a month. Complete joke. Left without the rental and went across the street to Home Depot.
