Great care, customer service & staff!

Dr. Frankels practice is on the cutting edge of eye care, especially with his state of the art early detection system he has. No need to have my eyes dilated yet the detailed information I received on my eye health was incredible.I love how he took the time with my son and me. We had many questions about his ocular migraines and he even took the time to get my son information that would be beneficial for headache prevention. I would recommend him to anyone looking for quality eye care.

I am beyond impressed with Dr. Frankel and Ian who works there. Their customer service here is exceptional. Dr. Frankel take his time to give you a full detailed eye exam and always answers any questions you might have. He recommended these new contact lenses that just came out a month ago called precision 1 to my wife and she absolutely loves wearing them. She feels as though she does not have any lenses on. MyEyeDr. has the latest technology available, for example instead of getting your eyes dilated with drops, they have the 3D machine that gets the best comprehensive photo images of your whole eye and Dr. Frankel is able to see right away with the 3D photos the back of your eye to check for diabetes, glaucoma, or any other eye issue that you want checked out, you are able to view the photos of your eye in detail with him and it sure beats getting your eyes dilated. The building is always impeccable, and everything always looks new and the amazing selection of glasses is phenomenal. I have been going there for the past 4 years, and so does my wife, and son. Highly recommend Dr Frankel and My EyeDr for your yearly eye exam and glasses. Dr Frankel also speaks Spanish and Polish, and Ian speak Spanish. Highly recommend this place for your eye exams and glasses and contacts.

I always have a great experience when going to Family Eye Care of Bolingbrook. At this point I can’t imagine going anywhere else. I am writing this review now because of the experience I just had while ordering contacts. When I called I spoke with Felicia who was extremely nice. She immediately said she could help me and genuinely seemed happy to do so. I had a little bit of a complicated request which took some time. She was soooo nice and helpful throughout the entire process. I got off the line and had such a huge smile. I work in customer service and have had my fair share of bad experiences with people. Most times it comes down to just someone being nice at the end of the line and making you feel like they really care. Everyone is very helpful and kind at this place. Thank you Felicia for making this process easy for me!!!

First visit with Dr Martinez for our 15 yo daughter. As a health care provider, I tent to have high expectations from others in the field. This practice exceeded my expectations! Reviewed contacts versus glasses and future eye care needs based on her astigmatism. Dr Martinez was kind, informative and helpful. The visit was not rushed in any way, even though it ran a bit late (past closing hours). The office staff was very polite. Olivia assisted with choosing frames and did contact teaching with my daughter. Olivia was patient, kind and resourceful. The entire visit was a resounding success! I would definitely recommend Family Eye Care to family, friends and neighbors!

Very nice people. Doctor Young was very nice (even at the end of what I am sure was a long day), and the optician was very easy to work with (not pushy at all). She helped me find what I was looking for at a very reasonable price. Very happy with my experience overall.

My husband and I went in for the first time today and had a great experience! We had Dr. Young and he was super nice and personable. The staff was also great and there was a good selection of glasses. We will definitely be going back!

They do not seem concerned about scheduling an appointment. I wanted to bring my entire family in for an eye exam. The receptionist told me she would call me back. She has not called me. I have had trouble making appointments here prior to this experience. They are very good about reminding you that it is time for your appointment, but dont seem to want to schedule you.

Cannot say enough kind words about this place. I just picked up my new glasses. WOW!!!!! The staff and doctors at Family Eye Care really know customer service. I started with Dr. Frankel 7 years ago. I plan on continuing this relationship for many years, Dwight B

Dr Young is about the only good thing that has happened to this place. The office staff do not slow down to explain different parts of insurance plans, as well as they try and rip you off to pay for both a contact exam and a regular exam. Overall very dissatisfied with team members and management, I️ will not step foot in there again, and I️ would recommend everyone else follow suite!

I have been to this establishment at least 3-4 times. Each family member of mine, including myself, have received some form of eye care from them from eye exams for prescriptions only, to glasses adjustments and recently a frame replacement. They are friendly and well trained in customer service. I am scheduled for another visit to get a back up pair of glasses, and I am eager to get the process started.

Amazing service! As a Canadian temporarily visiting the States I was having a bit of difficulty getting contact lenses. The staff working there is phenomenal and quickly helped me get a new set of lenses. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

I have been coming here for about 10 years. Between my children and I, we have always been treated really well by the entire staff. Great selection of frames and sunglasses as well. I highly recommend them.

Wow. The staff is so friendly and pleasant, that Im writing a review for the first time ever!!! My Dr. was extremely talented, knowledgeable and THOROUGH!! Ive been a patient with Dr. Frankel for about 7 years. Dr. Frankel and his team are professional and courteous and they actually care about what is best for the patient. The new location is very nice and clean inside. Id highly recommend the practice to anyone!

The doctor was very professional and explained each part of the exam performed. My insurance had them listed as preferred and it ended up saving me a lot of money. I did opt for a retinal photograph which is not covered by my insurance but I didnt want dilated so it was a viable option at 45 dollars. Im extremely picky about choosing glasses but after searching for a while did find what I like. They had a large selection displayed and they even brought out more samples not on the wall after narrowing out the style and brand I liked. Glasses came in under a week which was quicker than other places Ive gone to.

Love Dr. Frankel. He doesnt try to upsell you on something you dont need. Highly recommend!

Great experience, friendly knowledgeable staff. Was in at my scheduled appointment time, exam completed quickly, good assistance with picking out new frames.

Very nice staff and Drs. However they NEVER GET BACK TO YOU! Extremely annoying and disrespectful. I have called multiple times to make an appointment, and even used their online scheduler which they recommend, and still no one contacted me back. Fix this issue and I would be more than happy to up the rating.

I waited over 45 minutes to pick up contacts from this location. Under no circumstances should a customer ever have to wait 45 minutes to pick up an item. They also removed my previous review that had more details. Doctors are great, desk staff is terrible.

The staff is amazing and Dr. Frankel takes great care in making sure my lenses and glasses are the right prescription and fit. Highly recommended.

I have been using Family Eye Care for years and have always been satisfied. They are very professional, are on time, have the latest in technology/eye tests, also use technology for reminders, appointment setting, etc. There is a very good selection of frames - Ive never had a complaint and highly recommend this practice.

Very bad and rude staff. Misplaced my order, could not get it. Talked to the rep Vivian. No apology was offered.It took two reps to get one order in the first place. Wasted 3 hours of my time. Never go there again. Left a voicemail to the owner dr. Henkel. Not expecting a call back.

The doctor was late to my visit by 20 min if Im on time he should be on time. He was not interested in anything I said almost to the point of mocking or maybe it was smugness. Not any better then Costco, thought it would be more detailed but it was the same corporate eye exam. Not planning on revisiting. I felt like a dollar sign not a patient and the scare tactics to upgrade the exam were not amusing or effective.UPDATE: Originally the review was 2 stars. It is 4 now because the doctor reached out to explain and apologize. Everyone has bad days and him reaching out means he cares about unhappy customers too.

Everyone was so friendly! Dr Martinez took her time, and really described the exam, and my vision issues, making sure I fully understood everything that was happening.

Without a doubt...the best in the business. The staff and service is excellent. Great for all ages.

Dr Young was very patient with me and my many visits to get the perfect pair of contacts that worked best for me with my difficult prescription.

I love the new location with the video game tables for kids. The doctors are always nice and the staff did an awesome job to help me.

Although you have an appointment, you still tend to wait 15 minutes or more before your appointment, even if you show up ontime. The people are welcoming.

I was going to only give 4-stars due to a miscommunication with tests offered... pictures vs dialation etc... turns out we should have chosen the dialation for diabetes which insurance would cover, but looking back it was just an error in communication with the assistant... Dr Frankel did a very thorough exam and addressed all concerns i had with current glasses... I want to also give ☆☆☆☆☆ to Suzy... She was fantastic in her help and knowledge of the frames and brands and fit... Im very excited to get my new glasses ♡ ...She did a great job recommending to my husband as well... with the cost of glasses its so nice to have some honest opinion to bounce to and also great recommendations on size and shapes... Thx all, see you soon for pick up ;)
