Stopped for beers and a snack and was not disappointed! The poutine was really good and theres a variety of beers on tap. They have a large outdoor seating area and a roof deck (couldnt go on it due to a private event though). The staff was really friendly and helpful when picking beers. Would definitely go back!
This place has a very cool vibe with a great variety of different beer and sour options - even wine slushies. They have a smaller menu, but all of the food was so good. We had to order the fingerling potato appetizer after our entrees because we enjoyed it so much. For entrees we ordered the tuna poké bowl and the kale salad with chicken, which was flavorful and fresh!
Great food and beer! I especially liked the Summer Street ale. Even the kids food was great - the french fries were some of the best Ive ever had!
The IPA was very tasty but the appetizer was the blandest thing I’ve ever tasted, plus they charged $3 for 6 more crackers when we didn’t have enough to finish the edamame hummus. To be fair, the crackers had more flavor than the hummus which is the most plain thing I have tried since tap water. My suggestion would be to add a squeeze of lemon juice, chili flakes or even just some salt and pepper to add some flavor, or just scrap from the menu entirely.
We stopped in for a beer on a Tuesday before heading off to find food. The beers we tried were definitely NOT the normal hoppy IPAs or pastry stouts. Very tasty! There was plenty of space when we were there. We sat outside. Ordering was done via smartphone (QR code on the table). Suggestion: perhaps put the WiFi info on the QR sign, too.
My favorite brewery ever!!! All flavors are amazing, you can actually taste the notes unlike every other beer I’ve had. Great service and ambience. Not to mention, well priced!
Great beer and kind service - Always a stop when visiting Boston! Composed oysters are fresh and delicious. Also Dan and Tim provided excellent service at the bar.
I heard about their beers and drove quite a distance to try them. I walked into their new tap room in Canton and try to order a flight so I can sample their finest. “We don’t do flights.” Ok. Let me sample….”you’re allowed two samples.”This is obviously a place that only caters to the locals and they could care less about the travelers across America who like to try all a brewery has to offer. Don’t waste your time or go out of your way because you’ll be disappointed. The beers I did have were phenomenal but alas…there were so many others that I couldn’t try without being able to drive safely afterwards. What a shame…I logged the beers I bought (10 oz. pours) in my Untappd app and moved on to a different and more customer friendly American brew company down the road. Because of their customer service, I avoided any merch…not a place I would promote.
The bar tenders and serving staff were so quick and helpful. My partner and I were in town to visit and we were given so many good suggestions as to where to go to get good food and beer when we were done at trillium. Great experience.
Enjoyed some beers on the rooftop. Even though it was close to closing time, the staff couldnt have been more friendly and helpful. Our daughter couldnt decide what she wanted so she was treated to a few samples until they helped her find the perfect one. My wife and I tried the Spice Cake Stout. Definitely a sipping beer. Lots of different flavors happening and is not a chugging beer. We need to come back and try the food next time.
This location is not open for service on Mondays and Tuesday’s. I would suggest not advertising as “open” on the Google Maps listing. We tried to go - as did five other people in the few minutes we were there - due to this. Even the employee made a comment wondering why so many people were trying to to visit. The owners should make it abundantly clear on the Google listing that operations are “to go only” on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Tim & Dan are incredible!! Amazing experience and always the most delicious beverages. Come see them at the bar!!
Great beer. Loved the free samples made it easy to try different beers that I normally wouldnt. Was even able to find a beer (German chocolate cake doughnut) that my wife liked and she doesnt like beer
Loved the variety of creative beers and the food selection.
Wow, what a transformation from the first time I went 4 years ago. Great experience and fantastic menu. Get the fried chicken 🍗
The area of this brewing company is amazing, and a welcome invitation to a younger crowd. Trillium is a highly recommended visit with a wide range of beer, most recognizable for their stout, IPAs, and sour beers on tap. There is most certainly a beer here for you even if you are a new beer drinker. I have had a lot of peanut butter beer in my time, but Trillium’s is most certainly a top five for me, I highly recommend it. All the beer here is worth trying in exploring flavor, I would be wise with the selection though as some of the product is on the pricier side. The selection of food is awesome for each type of beer that they serve. They do have a friendly amount of vegetarian options, and each plate ordered came back in a reasonable amount of time.Upon entering the establishment the decoration and the dim settings really set for a comfortable mood. The first floor is a brewery, and almost always filled with large groups of people. Trillium has a patio as well and is quite enjoyable during good weather days. For the amount of people that were in the establishment on the first floor, I must say that I am pretty impressed at the quick service I have received on more than one occasion. The second floor dining and provide even quicker service. I would recommend venturing upstairs if the ground floor is too busy or if you prefer the quieter setting. There is a nice view of the food being prepared on the wood fire grill as well. The third floor roof top with a comfortable amount of open space. Within each level the staff is very friendly, great customer service, and it is a very well and clean establishment! Cheers to you Trillium.
Great beer and atmosphere. Just needs a little better menu. Other than that had a great time.
Went there for a wedding and was pleasantly surprised. Food was great and staff was AMAZING!!! Thanks for a great night.
Great service. We were eating outdoor and it started to pour. Everyone helped to get us a table inside. The food is great too. Plus, the beer was very good, some of the best around. Happy to be able to grab a few 4 packs to take home. We will definitely be back.
Great beer, great service. I wish they had better ways to purchase beer in person. Parking is terrible, and makes it difficult to pick up orders. Its easy if youre already there for drinks and food, but if youre only picking up, plan ahead for parking.
Great location and great setup. Staff is friendly and helpful. Didnt get any food but it smelled incredible. Beer was excellent as always.
This brewery had such a great atmosphere and the staff was friendly and helpful. They have a large selection of wild and sour beer, all with unique, tasty flavors. However, the one IPA I tried was pretty average, nothing special. Next time Ill have to try their food!
The rain can’t stop great service and amazing beer! I was sitting on the patio at Trillium on a beautiful day, enjoying the best beer of my life - Big Bird - when large drops of cold, hard rain started coming down. Kids are crying, wife’s upset at my choice of seating. When the staff at Trillium came to the rescue, securing a table inside. Nice and cozy, just as our food arrived. Chicken sandwich was delicious! Then Brice showed up with a fresh Legroom and all was well. We left happy and full. Thanks Trillium!
Good beers. My only complaint: they dont have (m)any low abv beers, and almost all of their beers are hoppy/hazy or sour. Go if you like those; maybe skip if you dont!
Went here for some drinks and food after a long bike ride in south Boston. While the staff was friendly, the food wasn’t the best and my burger in particular was burned (to the point all I could taste was that charred/burn) and our bacon was very chewy. The beer was excellent and out server was very nice and attentive. A weird thing to note is that there is dining on the second floor aw well (which was empty) so def be sure to venture upstairs if the ground floor is too busy. Overall the food was just ok (and kinda expensive -$25 burger) but the beers were excellent. They are a brewery first and restaurant second in my opinion.
It was packed on a cold and sunny beautiful November day. Staff was friendly, dining was well organized even with all the crowds. We got in before the line started outside. Good beer, good variety of food. The burger and fries were awesome paired with a couple of the IPAs. My friends had a bunch of the seafood which they loved.
Loved this place. The beer is excellent. The food, farm to table was delightful. We had three appetizers and the hummus was my fave but all were great. The burger was smoky and top notch. I hade linguine which was spicy and delicious.
Thankfully we made a reservation vs. waiting in line in the cold. Sat on 2nd floor @the bar and we were treated right! Bartender was generous with sample tastings. Loved the Launch 🍺 pale ale - citrus, yet smooth. Raw oysters, beer cheese to start - both were the bomb. Burger, flame broiler, hit the spot.
Excellent beer and the bartenders we had were nice, attentive, and offered recommendations on food and drinks.
The beer was great and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the beers.
Incredible, delectable, glorious. Some of the best sour beers I have ever had with some of the best food at a brewery I have ever tasted and seen! This spot truly has it all. It was very packed, but I was able to meet some great people there when I came to visit. Every time I come to Boston, I will be 100% sure to visit this brewery. Had to take some bottles to go since I cannot enjoy this great beer in NC. 😃
First stop after landing in Beantown did not disappoint..Cool building tucked into other cool buildings. The space was nice. It was already busy early on a Thurs, which is totally a good sign. Staff was super chill and friendly. I was a big fan of several of their stouts, definitely doing good things here.
Cool placed, crowded, looks like a lot of locals besides myself visiting from Orlando
Favorite beer on the planet! Matthew was great and helped us out with recommendations. Good thing is is that the food was awesome also. We got a burger, a pulled pork sandwich and a chicken sandwich. All a BIG👍! Just check the popular times chart on Google maps. I went back Saturday to get 4pk to go and just turned around. For people who arent familiar, this place is no secret
I’m not much of a beer drinker, but their selection offers a little something for everyone - not to mention the food is fantastic. You will NOT regret getting the chicken sandwich.
Upscale brewery experience. Their vast selection of beers is on point, the food’s presentation is exquisite, and their service is excellent. Some food item’s sizes are a little too small (and expensive) for a brewery. Would come back, would recommend.
While Trillium doesnt always live up to the hype, today was a great experience. The Mini Mallard pale ale was refreshing after a long walk around the city, and the stracciatella toast was a solid blend of light and refreshing flavors - crispy thick bread, mashed peas, pickled onion, ham, and a burrata-like cheese. There were three slices of a large piece of bread on the plate, and it could comfortably be shared with 2-3 people for a light bite before a more robust meal.
Beautiful new spot—-a definite way improvement from the original spot! Three different floors with a bar and outside patio on the main level, a dining room on the second, and a rooftop bar on the third. They serve different beers on the rooftop from downstairs so it’s worth a visit beers range from $6 on up, food looks to be standard bar food on the main level. About time they finally opened a tasting room in their home area!
Add this place to your brewery bucket list. Amazing. Food here was a wonderful surprise as well!
Great service. Everybody was very attentive and accomodating. Dining room was well spaced out and comfortable. Their beers are always delicious and tonight was no exception. Food was of equally great quality. A must if youre in the area!
I heard this place had some awesome beers from a local friend so we went and were pretty excited by the menu only to find out they dont to flights/tasters, when we asked an waitress she looked at us like we were crazy. So that was super disappointing, you have to buy $12 pints to try stuff, dumb. They have a cool rooftop lounge/bar on the 3rd floor, but yeah other then that expensive beers with the option to go broke or get hammered to try a bunch of different beers
October 2019- huge space now. They have 2 stories. The bottom is the bar and you can get drinks and food. Upstairs is the dining and you need to be seated. The beers are delicious. The server wasn’t exactly knowledgeable about any of the beers. Super crowded on a Sunday afternoon.Update! They serve beer and food now!! Can’t wait to go back and try it.May 2017No tasting whatsoever! Dont even ask bc that Boston attitude will come out from then. They arent the friendliest but the beers are amazing! Im from SD home of craft beers too. Our favorite SD brewery follows Trillium and I was in the area so my bf wanted me to pick some up. Flew it all the way back to SD!
Awesome beer, friendly service. Beer is expensive, and unfortunately, no flights.
Ive been going here since Feb 2019 and every time is it amazing. One of my favorite places for food and drinks!
Beers are always on point with trillium. They had a huge choice of beers. I tried a stout, sour, and lager. All were terrific. The wait to get in didnt take too long. Expect at least 30 minutes though. If you want to get a room upstairs in the dining area expect another 1 hour. But in the meantime get a drink in the tap room. The food there actually surprised me. I honestly wasnt expecting much since its a brewing company but the food was fantastic. I had the pork shoulder and it was very juicy. The outside skin was burnt to just the right amount. We also had the burrata which didnt stand out much. It was also quite small in portion for the price.
Nice outside seating with good beer, a bit pricy but its more related to the area.
Came here within the first two weeks of opening so could understand/expect some crowds. The BBQ pork was a bit dry and the beans that came with it were undercooked. My girlfriend got the bacon burger which was good but had a bit too much blue cheese. If anything get the fries, those were amazing! Also the beer of course is on point. Cant go wrong there. I wouldve given less stars for the food but our bartender was extremely nice and helpful (even with the crazy crowd). Would come for the beer but not the food. Perhaps itll get better in a few weeks.
Too bad so sad! I love finding breweries while traveling, Trillium had some really good beer! We made it here based on some article 16 best places to eat in Seaport area. The lines for a few of the more famous was over an hour and too long for kids. But when traveling with family the food must be good as well.No way to say it nice, my wife proclaimed the Poke bowl, The worst she has had. When I saw a steak withChimichurri sauce, I hoped someone had some secret Columbian secret. Sadly the steak had no grill taste, came precut into slices, juices leaked out on the plate, taste to be covered by the sauces.. You probably already guessed this was a bad cut, terribly chewy and borderline disgusting. My son loved the grill cheese and fries. Final note would ask the kitchen talent to make what they can perform well. Dont waste peoples money covering bad food with sauces. If you vost Trillium enjoy the beer, and if you must eat try a burger or a try the kids menu.
Ordered a couple of beers at the upstairs bar and had great service. The gentlemen gave us tips on picking up beer to go. Very awesome experience.
I would suggest trying the bar on the 2nd floor as opposed to the tap room. Quieter and you can eat delicious food while watching the wood fire grill! The food is incredible (wood fire ribeye anyone?!), And they have a good selection of beers you can drink on site. Other perk of the 2nd floor is you can order to go beers from their to go beer list and they bring it to you! Highly recommend Trillium Fort Point.
Cool indoor and outdoor spots to hangout in the Seaport. Buying cans to go is easy but ordering online ahead of time speeds the process of its a busy time
The beer is fantastic. I cant say anything bad about it. The resturant needs improvement. We had a reservation and were quickly seated, but it took the waiter about 20 minutes to get our beers. The food came out very slowly. Most of it was underwhelming, especially for the price. The duck poutine was delicious, but a tiny portion for the price. The fried chicken sandwich was dry and needs improvement. It also took a long time to get the check. I would give the resturant another chance when in the area again, but they need to either up the service and food quality, or cut the prices.
Beer is excellent, ambiance is great, food is limited but what they serve is delicious.
They gave me the runs but still very good. Get the Raspberry Wheat
Fantastic sour beers, felt the kick in my ears.On a nice day it’s clear -Trillium is the place to grab a beer.
Close to our hotel and served great beer. The food looked good too. Ive been told that this is a second location. If you happen to be in the Financial District make sure to stop by.
Awesome beer 🍻 great ipa selection! We visited the seaport location! Loved their golden ale too!The dipa were my favorite, dank and juicy but not super hoppy and bitter!
Beer was fantastic and the burger was solid. Fries were too soft for my taste.
The staff is amazing. Very friendly and helpful and the place is just beautiful! Beers are pricey but the quality is top notch. Really glad we stopped here before heading home.
Beer good. Very beer much tasty.
Nice place, cool atmosphere, the beer is good, but wont blow you away
Second time here even better experience than the first.the food was great and the service is awesome I wanna love beer more but I’m on just love these fruity sours
Visited this location on December 23rd to celebrate my partners birthday, woo!! I used their reservation system on their website to reserve a table, and thank goodness I did, it was very busy (great craft beers to choose from). The place looked clean and despite how busy it was their seating arrangement made it comfortable and easy to maneuver.*Reservation note: all seating is communal, also I dont think the staff can see the notes added to the online reservation because no one got back to me on my questions (not urgent).I think the fact it was busy effected the service a bit so we cant complain much!
Vast beer selection with many intricate stout, IPA, and sour beers on tap, select cans/bottles available for purchase on the main floor. Went to the restaurant on the 2nd floor and enjoyed the DDH Summer Street IPA with the Cavetelli pasta. Absolutely delicious. Also tried the Coffee Cake stout (amazing sweet cinnamon flavor) that worked great as a dessert beer. Food prices are a bit high, but its expected for a hip downtown Boston spot. Defs would go again with friends
This brewery has some of the best sours I’ve ever had. Their IPA’s are dank, too. Love the atmosphere. Worth the price tag.
