Customer service is excellent. Place is clean...but SMALL. A shame really. There is just not enough room to display all of the comics, so they tend to get squished on top of one another. The best thing for them....rent more space!

They have been around for 50 plus years for a reason. They know their books. Highly recommend them for their great selection and conversation. Introduce the kids of your family to comic books. Its a great way to get them reading without feeling like school.

Millions of Comic Books and staff is friendly and always willing to assist and make conversation. Really get to know the guys working inside after coming back for the weekly releases. They are able to put you on a pull list for certain Comics as well through the Facebook Page. One of the best comic book stores around!

Lovely family owned establishment with a variety of different comics. Has a small assortment of manga and a lot of marvel/DC issues. Very centrally located, 10/10, would visit again.

Excellent selection of old, kinda new, and brand new titles! Definitely reccommend if youre hunting for older issues.

Great place, has a large selection of $1 comics, well displayed, large selection of new releases, and a great selection of back issues. They have graphic novels, variants, full sets of comics at great prices. They carry supplies to like boxes, bags, and boards. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and want to help you find exactly what you are looking for and at a great price. I highly recommend this place!!!

I just love this place, not only comics but they also have a great collection of Sci Fi novels as well. The owner is really friendly and sometimes does help in choosing a graphic novel, I have already bought Watchmen and Batman Year One from the store in mint condition. Will visit once more

Super friendly, knowledgeable staff with a well stocked supply of new (weekly), recent (past few releases), and back-stock. If youre interested in comics and/or a collector, definitely pay a visit. The atmosphere and environment is open, yet the walls are loaded with collectibles, figures, and supplies. Both Emil Sr. and Jr. are true gents and whatever you may be looking for, theyre certainly able to help out. Recommended!

Great place to stop if you are just passing through but also great for regulars if you are looking to do subscriptions. It seems like he remembers everyone that stops by. Also an extremely family friendly environment for those wondering.

Queen City Bookstore is not only a fun place to be, but it is a tremendous resource to anybody involved in the comic book community or independent publishing! It has been run by three generations of the Novak family, and is still independently owned and operated. The owner also operates the Buffalo Comicon, and heads up the Visions Comic Art Group, allowing local and independent artists and writers to engage in their craft in our own town! Queen City has done something tremendous for me, in that they have facilitated my first book, and allowed me to break into the publishing world. They are friendly, very knowledgeable, and well-versed in the particulars of business! They are most definitely my favorite business in all of Western New York, as well as being my favorite comic book store!

I finally found this comic book store! Back in 2009, I was a foreign student studying in Buffalo, and I wanted to get my hands on a particular comic book issue that was being released at the time. I made my way down to Queen City Bookstore in the dead of winter, only to be told that the particular issue had yet to be released. Someone at the front desk told me to come back in a day or two instead.Two days later, I once again braved the Buffalo winter and arrived at the bookstore. The man at the counter told me that the issue had arrived, but it was already sold out. Just as I was about to leave, he pulled the last issue out from below the counter and told me that, since he knew I was coming back, he had saved a copy for me.This is the best comic book shop I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Actually, this is the first review that I have ever left on Google Maps. I know it is a long time ago, but Id just like to say that I am very appreciative of your service here. I still have the issue of comic book all the way here in Singapore! Thanks guys.

Favorite Comic Store

I went in looking for comics for my 5yo and decided to get something for myself. Everyone was incredibly helpful, making suggestions and being super patient when I had trouble pulling up my Goodreads list. Its not often you can get something to please your kid AND yourself in one store. Im a comics newbie and a woman, so I was braced for a negative reaction, but no one rolled their eyes at me or made me feel anything less than welcome. I will definitely be visiting here on a regular basis. I highly, HIGHLY recommend it.

This store has been there since I was a kid. The owner gave us a few free comics until I scraped up enough $ to buy my Elf Quest and Cap. Carrot books! I super happy to know Queen City is still alive and kickin!!!

Great store with a huge selection of silver age, 70s underground, oop books, $1 comics/$2 books, and more. Queen City carries most if not all current issues from marvel, DC, image, dynamite, etc. Prices are more than fair, and the service is top-notch!
