Absolutely love my ford edge. Absolutely love that they was able to deliver to me at my home. During this time with covid I dont get out alot. And yes, I had to keep my PJs on, just to say I bought a car in my PJs. Would recommend this dealership to everyone and John Fender as your salesman. The time that I wasted at this location is time that I can never get back and have nothing to show for it. I will start with the gentleman that greeted me when I arrived and his manager were extremely nice and professional to work with. My complaint is for whom ever is answering the phones. I called and made it very clear the exact car I wanted to see and test drive and wanted to double check that it was still available. I also explained I was making a long drive to go and see this car. I was asked the color of the car since they had more then one option of that model. I was told they are available and that they will be ready for when I arrive. Well after a long 2 hour drive I am told that both cars had already been sold. I understand completely that mistakes in life are made but at what point do things get done about these mistakes. If you do not have a long drive ahead of you to visit this dealership then I am sure your service will be great. If you do have a drive just ask yourself how much is your time worth. At the end the two gentlemen tried to find me an alternative and I truly appreciated it but I know what I am looking for and unfortunately they did not have it anymore. I do not like or find any joy on leaving a bad review, I normally only like to do good reviews online because I feel most people don’t take the time to leave good ones. 2 stars only because of the level of professionalism the two gentlemen had when dealing with me. If not it would have been one star.

Sold my car to Stearns after almost being scammed by a business that buys cars online. They made the process so easy and made sure I was reassured by the process. They drove 4hrs to come pick my car up so I didn’t have to leave my house! 10/10 recommend this dealership!

I purchase a F150 that was supposed to be owned by that family who owned the dealership. 7 days later I was involved in an accident because the Vacuum pump on the brakes failed. I haven’t been in an accident since I was a teenager. I was 62 at that the time of the accident. I just had my mechanic that I have used for over thirty years do an repair and the dash was glued back in place because the clips were broken. Not only that, the part that needed repair was held by one screw, there are 2 that should hold this part. I am fairly sure they were aware of the condition of this vehicle, after all it was owned by a family member. Buyer beware! This has been in 2019 when I purchased and I have held off complaining until this last repair. Stay away!

My truck has had issues from the moment I got it I have over 15 invoices from the service department, every time I got my truck back within driven the truck 50 miles after getting it back the check engine light came back on. This happened 3 days in a row and It went back to the shop 3 days in a row. (9/20/21-9/22/21 and was then told by Lisa the service manger to never bring my truck back again after they couldn’t fix. Lisa told me what did I expect from buying a used truck (I bought the truck from them). I didn’t have to buy a vehicle at all I traded in a 2016 Dodge Ram with 40,000 miles and I was the only owner of. Sterns Ford will fast talk you into buying a vehicle from them. Then they will tell you what did you exspect making you feel bad for buying the vehicle in the first place. This place is all around a horrible place to do any business with. I struggle recommend to consider a better dealer to do business with
Had a really good experience with Matt Page and Dustin Ramsey while buying a used car from Stearns. Both were helpful, friendly—but not pushy, knowledgeable, and very courteous and respectful. Hopeful for future good relations with service! Buying experience was quick and streamlined, and upon doing some research beforehand, we felt confident their prices were competitive, fair and transparent.
I was really disappointed with my service. The actual service was okay, but the communication could have been better. I was there for nearly 3 hours… for a leaking tire, which I needed a new one. They said they could put one one “real quick” 1.5 hours later I had to go ask what the problem was. They had not even gotten the tire from another store, which they had never communicated to me. If you do not have something in store, you should never say “real quick” or if it doesn’t happen “real quick” you should tell the customer instead of the customer having to get angry and ask you what’s up. That’s just my opinion.
Clean and comfy service waiting room. Comfy is a good thing because I spend a lot of time here since my Ford is always breaking down.
By far the worst place I have ever gotten a vehicle from. Got their saw a truck that I wanted they told me that it had not went through the inspection yet but it would go through a very detailed one to make sure everything was safe and good. It sounded good to me so I did the paperwork and picked up the truck. When I test drove the truck everything was fine and working up to par. After I picked up the car the sun roof did not work and the speaker in the back was blown out. They also gave me a key fob that had a low battery and died after 3 days. On top of that it rained two weeks after I got it and it started to hydroplane very badly so I took it to a tire shop and they said that the tires on the truck were very bad and would not pass any inspection. When I called them and told them they simply said that it was not on them and it was mine now and the salesman that I worked with (Ale) said that the speaker was just fine but when I called the service department they said it was 100% blown. It makes me very mad that they would sell me a truck that is not safe to drive. I can understand small things like the speaker and sun roof because it is a used vechial but when it comes to tires or any thing around safety their is no excuse. Very upset that anyone would sell a turck with bad tires just to save a buck. Would not recommend anyone to go their a buy a car from their.
Although I am not happy with the vehicle that I purchased, I cannot blame it on the Stearns Ford dealership. I purchased a car and then wanted to exchange it but I had to choose from the very low inventory on their lot. Not their fault either. Apparently there is a car shortage. Even rental cars are sky high these days. And so I am writing this review in order to commend Tony, my salesman, and the entire staff for allowing me to drive them crazy for three days as I test drove every car on the lot in search of one that would suit my needs, budget and taste. Not easy with the present market. I should have done my homework. Tony and staff were very helpful and I highly recommend this place of business. Just make sure you know what you want and do your research prior to buying!

We just bought a Ford Explorer from Stearns Ford. It is the third vehicle we have purchased from the Stearns family dealerships. Everyone we had interactions with was very friendly and helpful. We initially picked out a 2020 Explorer but later we realized it was not going to work for us. Stearns allowed us to return the vehicle and choose a different one that better suited our needs, a 2021 Explorer. They were very gracious in redoing all the paperwork and ensuring that we were more than satisfied with our new choice. We love our new Explorer!
Just make sure you ask about pricing before getting your vehicle serviced there.Bill for a 100,000 mile service that consisted of only an oil change, coolant flush and fill and new spark plugs came to $670 for my 2017 F150.The service manager lowered it a little after I complained loudly, and I admit it I should have gotten their price in advance. But its still quite outrageous considering this was all basic maintenance stuff that took less than two hours. I was expecting around $300, and it was still almost double that after the manager took some off.
I sold a used Jetta to this dealer last week. Seamless transaction, friendly sales and finance department. Zero issues getting the car picked up in Goldsboro. Absolutely recommend these folks if you are selling and dont want the hassle of a gazillion people on social media that want to lowball you.

I purchased a vehicle for my son at this dealership in 2016. I was out of town and my son was attending college in NC. The salesman at the time made the process seamless for me, and dealt with my son fairly, and calmed my fears as a parent with a child navigating this process for the first time. Fast forward to 2021, my son is living in another city trying to register the vehicle, and was having a hard time finding out where/how to get the title. I called and spoke with Lou Anne. She was so helpful and got my questions answered and pointed us in the right direction in minutes. She took the time to make a phone call, and called me back with exactly what I needed. Told them CarMax was offering $32k to buy my truck but the lady at Stearns said just bring the truck buy and they would beat that price. A half hour wasted at their dealership and they offer $25k. What a joke. Never, never again.

So good as a matter of fact....traded in one daughters car in on Saturday for a Brand new 2121 Escape, and came back with our other daughter on Wednesday and traded her car for a different color new Escape! Simple enough spent maybe 2 hours here, which is a good thing. Bought a 2019 dodge challenger(used) and unknowing till the paper work was signed it was mine, it only came with one key fob. A spare one would cost me an additional $200+tax. 😂
Stearns gave good service in my cars maintenance. Very friendly staff.The staff noted things that needed correcting.
I had stopped in to have a couple keys made. I decided to check the price that it would be to pull up the door lock code from the computer and the price of a new keyfob. The price on both was decent and they said it would take 30 minutes to do and was able to do it right then and there. I left with two new keys a keyfob and the door lock all in about 45 minutes from start to finish.

We have purchased vehicles from them in the past and we knew if they did not have it on the lot then they would find it for us. Their team diligently worked to find the vehicle that was perfect for our needs and responded promptly as soon as it was found. The truck was reasonably priced and we were extremely happy with the salesman who spent the time answering all of our questions and was very personable. We highly recommend Stearns Ford!As a side note, this truck was replacing a 2000 F-350 that was originally purchased from Stearns Ford (both trucks shown in the photo).
I can honestly say I’ve never had a problem with the service department. I’ve been going here for 10+ years along with family members and friends I have recommended. I have purchased a car here in the past. I got my last truck at Capital Ford of Raleigh (Jimmy White is the man). I recently made an appointment in my busy schedule to do a test drive of the new Mach E Mustang. I get there, however, and never get to drive the car. I told the lady I wasn’t interested because I don’t like pushy salespeople, and I wanted to see how the vehicle drove first. How do I know it’s the car for me if I haven’t drove it? Truth be told I was interested. I had done a lot of research online, including using Fords map my ride to get an idea of where charging stations are. I was interested in the 300-mile range and had some questions and concerns. I was really interested in Tesla before the Mach E came out. However, I have 3 Ford cars at my home and have generally had a good experience. Two are personally mine, a Mustang GT and an F-150. I showed up and got shut down real quick. She actually told me she wasn’t wasting her time with me. The comment I left on Facebook where I wanted to drive the car got deleted, along with the comment about my experience. I usually don’t complain, but this really left a bad taste in my mouth, and I never got an apology. So I came here to let people know how they do. I had a similar experience when I was looking at trucks which is why I went to capital who even offered to let me take the truck home before I bought it. I have a positive Ford credit history and a positive track record with the service department which apparently doesn’t matter. That’s ok though this was a valuable lesson, and I’m hoping Green Ford or Tri-City treats me better. I know Stearns is convenient to this area but sometimes you got to drive out of the way for better service.
If its just about a place by itself or people working there - one word:Professionalism.And l have to put some names out, Mr. Keith and Mr. Dustin Ramsey finance manager. These two gentlemen showed a high level of professionalism and help.
Mr. Brent Thomas was an excellent sales person. He answered all our questions about the vehicle. Chris in finances was also great. They made it so easy for us that my husband is also going to be purchasing a new truck in the next few months, and we will be coming back to see Brent.

I have dealt with Stearns Ford for many years and they just don’t get any better than this place! I had an F-150 and now an F-250 and have had nothing but excellent service. My son has a Jeep and unfortunately we have not had a good experience with that dealership so I called my professional service people at Stearns and truly felt the professionalism as soon as I called. Keith in the service department is amazing. I explained my issue with the Jeep and he told me to bring it in and they would diagnose it, call my warranty company and then get back with me before they did anything. (As I was not sure if Ford people could fix Jeeps). Two days later my Jeep is fixed and my warranty company took care of everything. (I was told at the other dealership I would have to file the claim with my warranty company myself and I would probably not get any assistance from them). I always thought Steven in the service department was the BEST but Keith is right up there with Steven. I would encourage anyone to take their vehicle to Stearns Ford if you want the best service on the East Coast. Thank you Keith and Steven.

One of the easiest car buying experiences ever! The Internet sales manager, Theo Crespo, worked with me when I was unable to be there due to working in Greensboro. He and my salesman, Clarence Mebane, had all the paperwork ready for me to just walk in and go see the finance manager, Dustin. The car was CLEAN, full of gas and ready to go! From start to finish everyone was super friendly, helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. Will definitely use their services again when I’m ready for another vehicle!

I recently lost the use of my back-up camera. I took my Ford Escape to Stearns Ford and was advised I needed a new camera. The service rep ordered the part and within a week, it was installed. Im very thankful and appreciative of the service I receive from Stearns Ford.

We had a great experience at Stearns Ford today purchasing a used vehicle. Normally, I dread car lots, but it was very different than what I anticipated. The sales manager, our salesman Al and the finance manager Ray were super awesome-the whole process was actually enjoyable and relatively quick- and we drove off in the car we wanted. Definitely recommend and we will be back!
Traded in and purchased new on 11/21. As of today, 12/8, the previous lending company has yet to receive the payoff balance. Was told it was mailed, regular mail, (you would think a 33k check would be sent over night or certified), on 11/25. Total disappointment.
A few months after purchasing a 2017 Malibu from the dealership my transmission started slipping due to a sensor malfunction. After contacting the dealer I was told to get in contact with the salesman who sold me the vehicle. I did as told and still as of today I’ve never received a call, text, or email back from him.I’ve almost be been in serval accidents due to the malfunctions with my car. The customer service and even the manager didn’t seem concerned about the issues that was going on with my vehicle. During the process of them selling me the car they guaranteed this and that but once the money was handed over all of that slick talking went out the window once the issues started occurring. I would never recommend any of my friends or family to purchase a used vehicle from the dealership.

With the recent change in business practices brought on by the Coronvirus they were proactive with making sure there were limited touch points. I worked with Roger and Tony on the transaction. Easy to get in and out of the dealership. Nothing complicated with my visit for a recall. The staff was friendly as I waited with my 2 year old son that doesnt sit still very long. My son loved playing and sitting in the 1929 Model T in the show room. One of the sales associates was kind enough to give my son a coloring sheet and some crayons
I use Sterns Ford because its hard to find a mechanic you can trust. My 2016 Lincoln MKZ has alot of features and technical stuff. If Im having an issue I want a professional who knows how to navigate all of this stuff but doesnt feel the need to sell me things I dont need. Sterns Ford has done right by me in the past with my cars and Ill use them in the future.

I moved here from Florida last year and have been taking my car for service at Sterns. They have don a great job so I starting taking my old fusion there. Wonderful work and very nice people. Explain up front what needs to be done and the price. Compared to where I went in Florida they our 100% better! Wished I brought my car from them instead.
My wife and I purchased an F-150 and an Explorer from Stearns last week. Neither of us feel like we were hassled and neither of us feel like we got a bad deal. They offered slightly more for our trade ins than other places as well. We worked with G and Lance and would probably go back next time we need Fords. The finance guy is pretty funny as well.
I brought in a 2017 Ford Escape with a recall. They fixed the recall, and I also asked them to look at the paint because it was starting to peel off. It is an obvious manufacture problem (a number of other Ford vehicles are experiencing the same issue). When I asked about the paint, they told me it wasnt their problem and to call Ford directly. I asked to speak with the manager about it but he wasnt available. I later called back to explain the issue and the ineffective customer service. The manager reiterated what they said and wouldnt even give me the number to issue a formal complaint with Ford. Horrible customer service.
Ive taken my car to Stearns twice and Ive never had a better experience with having a car fixed. These people are so professional, super friendly and they dont waste any time getting your car running and back to you! The service manager, Lisa, is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else!

I went in that day to get my 0% for 84 months on a 2019 vehicle. We chose an Ecosport SE! They didnt have one in stock. They quickly found one a few hours away and delivered it the next day!Great dealership!

Car was high mileage, but looked like Stearns cleaned it up good and serviced it. Good first car for my 16 yr old son, great price. Very pleasant buying experience. Service and parts department are good at what they do but they have a salesman who needs an education in how to talk to a potential customer. Was just out looking at the used trucks today and explained to him that I was just looking. He told me you may be vandalizing the vehicles so Ill need to follow you . Not the way to get customers
