Be advised even in with a loan you will only be offered 25% of the USED value of your items. Caution to shop around first. Management used to work with you now all you are is a dollar sign. Used to recognize veterans too, but alas. Sad state of affairs really. Another one bites the dust...

I have been dealing with Mountain Pawn for years and they are simply the best Ive ever seen. Their owner and managers have always treated me with respect and courtesy. Before I found Mountain Man I really didnt like to shop at pawn shops. Im not a great haggler and dont care for the back and forth on prices but I dont want to be taken advantage of either. I have been buying from these folks since 2009 and have always gotten a fair deal. I enjoy visiting their store and visiting with them. In short I feel very comfortable when purchasing an item at this store.I read some of the 1 star reviews and I just believe there is something off with those reviews. Could it be that these 1 star reviews were written as a revenge because they did not get their way? Or that the authors were trying to get something for nothing?? I am not personal friends with the owner or any staff but IMO they are honest and the type of folks that I could socialize with. IMO ignore the 1 stars!!!

You never know what you will find

The good: The selection. Product here turns over faster than probably any pawn shop in Butte - which is a good thing. Some pawn shops seem to have the same stuff for years on end. The bad: The pricing is just... off. The sticker prices are often at or near retail. Sure - theyll come down the customary 25% or so - but then youre getting a used - and nearly always incomplete - product for what amounts to a good sale price? As an example, I went in looking for a used digital camera. Of the 10 or so digital point-and-shoot cameras in the case, all but one were at or above common eBay prices. The difference: eBay listings typically include *all* of the accessories - cables, manual, case, box. The cameras at Mountain Man, almost without fail, came with....nothing. Not even a cable - which after you purchase will likely put you over retail. Again - MM has a good selection if youre Jonesing for that certain something. But be ready to pay almost full tag for it.

We were shopping for an ex box for my son. Everybody was very professional. We dealt with rob and he was great, we bought one and it ended up not working. Rob was very quick to work with us and get us another one that worked! I definitely recommend them and shopping there!

The first thing that comes to my mind for Mountain Man Trading Post, is exceptional. LOVE the people that work there, and they always make me feel welcome. Such a great environment! Prices are affordable and always have great deals.

Dont live in Montana myself, but I cannot wait to travel over there to check out the shop. Had people make the trip and tell me how amazing their selection is, how they received the best customer service they ever had in a pawnshop! Every time I call looking for something I am always greeted with a warm welcome on the phone, and provided with wonderful customer service. If your in Butte, you must stop in and see these guys they are doing a wonderful job!!!!

This Pawn shop is the BOMB. Samantha is very polite and great to deal with and always has a smile. Randy is very helpful and knows his stuff as well . The manager Rob has a first class team to help you out with everything you are looking for. Thanks everyone for your service with a smile.

I really like the merchandise and have gotten some really great stuff here, including my ring and snowboard. However, on 2/14/19 myself and my sister were in to browse, my sister is a local from the area and I am a frequent visitor, and the manager working that day was extremely rude, twice. My sister asked to use the restroom and he said no, cant you read the signs?. We both thought he was joking until the second time when he asked the person standing behind my sister if she needed any help, my sister thought he was talking to her and said no just browsing, when he said in a very demeaning manner I wasnt talking to you. This is when we both knew he was just being a jerk and both of the other employees noted as well. The two other employees were very apologetic and kind, the manager on the other hand made me consider ever spending my money there again.

They take care of you the best that they can as quickly as they can. They make you feel welcome and try to have the latest and greatest gift ideas for any occasion.

If you are not a customer of theirs, you should become their customer. They have friendly, knowledgeable staff and are always to work with you on prices. Ive even gone in there and asked them if they would match a sale price from another pawn shop and they have. I recommend this business to everyone.

They are all pervs a lot of sex talk. Not a family oriented place at all.get hit on everytime go in the store. Very rude. Their best employee is no longer there randy was polite he went out of his way to help he got you in and out fast with great customer service. With him no longer there I will be bringing my business else where

This evening I witnessed the most disgusting, foul and all around unacceptable behavior while in the store. And what makes matters worse, the store manager was involved! 2 members of staff and 1 store manager stood, crowded around the work computer. They were having a good ‘ol time! Laughing and joking and using racial slurs! They didn’t seem to care if any customers heard what they were talking about! They didn’t care one bit! They didn’t even seem to care that any of the customers were offended! And I was! I really miss Rob G! And the old store manager, Dan! The two of them knew how to have a good ol’ time at work as well! But they did it in a professional, CLEAN manner! Without spouting off the different definitions for the word Ni@@@r! So shout out to the new store manager for being so professional and classy! If you are trying to drive out us loyal customers, that’s a darn good way to do it! There was ONE employee out of FOUR employees there tonight, actually doing his job! This young man picked up the slack of his unprofessional, ill- tongued coworkers. Chris, you are the type of employee that any business would be lucky to have! Your courtesy and professional attitude, along with your drive to help meet the customers needs is everything that your coworkers and store manager needs to learn how to do! Maybe it is time for the BIG BOSS to come spend some time in the store! I wonder how funny he would think tonight’s “show” was? With that being said, I am beyond disappointed in the happenings tonight. And it will be a very long time before I think about spending my money in this store. Things went down the drain when Dan and Rob left. I hope the owner steps in and gets his “crew” straightened out. This new store “manager” should be working in a Hot Topic. No lady should speak the way she does. Especially not a lady that is supposed to be the face of the company! I am disgusted and unamused with the behaviors of 4 out of 5 of the Pawnshops employees.

I wanted to speak with the owner because his manager changed the pawn date by two days on my Legal binding paper! Am willing to give him the benefit of the dought and a chance to remedy this situation. The manager refused to give his name or phone number!? Hopefully he checks the web site.

I went in with my Xbox, all cords, two controllers, and seven games, they wouldn’t give me more than $10, which was fine, until leaving I realized they sold the systems there for at LEAST $35 and that’s not including controllers OR games, I’d recommend keeping them or using Facebook to sell your goods, at least they’d give a fair price. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

This is the ONLY pawn shop I go to in Butte, Montana. Honest folks, and fantastic prices on everything. They treat you right.

Rob G is a joke and scam artist . He takes advantage of your disadvantage and is not a man to his word nor integrity . Took my Ipad in for a loan $75 plus $15 interest.. Made consistent payments and did not faulted on due dates. When it was time to get my Ipad they said it was lost. Soon to find out they sold it on the floor even though I did my part paying back my loan ..... Was reassured that .... I got you, Ill make sure your taken care of me being reasonable agreed to this... I was indeed the ONLY owner of this ipad had my videos photos notes EVERYTHING on it .... Now being handed some refurbished and used ipad with a nasty case dirty and gross..... I started I wasnt satisfied... Where rob met me with hostility a raised voice and anger well thats as good as its gonna get, thats all I can do for you.... with NO COMPASSION OR UNDERSTANDING .. This in turn got me upset as I started to raise my voice at him .... Like I did my part buddy, YOU need to fulfill your part. Which in turn led to the cops being called of course the cops are completely understanding on my part and witnessed rob taking back every word and trained to lie through his teeth to cover up his actions..... It was disgusting to watch.... A man that I thought had values, Turns out to be just a scam artist.He stated he would pay me $200 in front of the police then he took back his word, took back all the evidence from the text messages just lied through his teeth.... I warn you dont trust him or his staff with any of your belongings... (if you plan on getting them back)

Prices are affordable everyone is polite and welcoming. And worker Sam is helpful and her friendly personality is heart warming and makes your visit a pleasent one.

If you have not visited this establishment you need to fair value on pawns quality merchandise and friendly people that are easy to work with I have needed help numerous times and they are always there and have a great rewards system if you need help get on down there you wont regret it!!!!!!

Trade in values: $35 for a 250GB Xbox 360, $3 for games (even the newest ones)... absolutely unbelievable.

I bought a 32 inch tv from this place 20 days ago today and it just shut off and wount turn back on, and they told me its been to long and there is nothing they can do... So please watch out what you buy from them, because they can pick and choose what they will help with and what they wount... Not very customer oriented if you ask me were not willing to help me in any way but just to tell me theres nothing they can do its been too long 20 days is too long very sad...
