A great coffee house, I always make sure to pick up something when Im in Carmel for work. I really enjoy the aesthetics, its a really good vibe. The staff has always been super nice and they always give great recommendations!Their coffee is fantastic! From what Ive noticed, I think they rotate their signature drinks, I always look forward to trying their different drinks. Ive had a few pastries here and there and Ive always been satisfied by my choices. Its a coffee house worth coming back.
Indie Coffee Roasters this is the best coffee house in Carmel, period. The atmosphere and the location are perfect. There is so much natural light, and this is definitely a watering hole for the community. This is the place to read, and sip delicious coffee. Coffee that was roasted onsite, their coffees are elegant and refined. If you stop by you are super likely to see my face, and if you see me, say hello. Because its a coffee house and thats what people do... Try the coffee and youll taste the difference, its certainly worth your time! Plus its not a chain, so they still care about you when you walk in to this store... Visit more than once and theyll probably learn your name! ☺️ Old School Customer Service✌🏾💯❤️🙌🏿🔥🥺❤️😋 ... indie coffee roasters
Great little cafe. Coffee was well-prepared, space was clean, and the baked goods are out of this world. I wish the roaster wasnt around because it takes a lot of potential seating and can smell like burnt toast. Overall, highly recommend.
Beautiful location in the Carmel Arts District. The patio is delightful. Excellent coffee, some sweets/pastries. Recommend.
Came here yesterday for the first time while in Carmel – the environment is nice, albeit a bit sterile feeling with all the white, and the outdoor seating is lovely, especially on a nice day like on the day we went. I got the Bumble Bee and my partner got The Billy. My drink was very overpoweringly lavender tasting and I could barely taste any of the other flavors, and my partners drink was good until they got to the bottom and all that was left was espresso and pineapple syrup, which was a strange, bitter combo. However, as a barista, I was very impressed by the look of the drinks and the quality of the equipment used. The cups were a little weird since they dont have handles, but I got used to it quickly. It was also pretty pricey; our two drinks cost almost $15, and two drinks similar to these would cost at most $10 at the coffee shop I work at. The drinks were beautiful, but I think next time I visit, I will just stick to a regular latte.
Good coffee shops make me weirdly happy. I’m not from the area but just stopped in here and this place made me HAPPY 🙂 As only a really good coffee shop can. Great vibe and coffee :)
Lattes were delicious! I really enjoyed the decor though — from the built-in espresso machines to the dog leash taps, the vibe was just great. I tried the Let’s Jam signature drink (think peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a latte; you could taste the nuttiness finished with some jam notes). We also walked away with a cute custom tumbler and bag of beans. Will be returning soon for some more drinks!
Delicious pour over... Friendly staff... Definitely going again!
This place is truly like “Cheers” for coffee. Everybody knows your name and great friendly service every time. Best coffee in town!
My favorite coffee in Indiana - I love the atmosphere, the service and the ownership. Outside cafe is glorious and inside is my 2nd office. I cant wait to see the faces of the folks I know by name and eyes only! Once I can purchase, drink and enjoy without a mask I wont go anywhere else. Thanks for all you do and lets go mask free! (July is too long......)
Amazing staff and a lovely array of drinks. They have a fall special called Pumpkin Patch and it is simply better than a pumpkin spice latte!
The nitro cold brew was smooth, creamy, and I could distinctly taste the flavors in its profile. It had a cool vibe and so far its my favorite spot in town to grab a coffee!
I recommend to visit in the mornings, the earlier the better! Really nice place!! 👍🏼😊
Delicious, freshly-roasted coffee. Great, friendly service.I was in town to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday and wanted to find a local coffee place that roasted their own coffee beans – hoping for the freshest coffee possible. This didn’t disappoint. After asking if they had any Ethiopian coffee that they could pull as espresso… I found out that Ethiopia Guji was what they were already using for their espresso shots. In just a few minutes I had a nice latte with beautiful artwok poured on top. I had intended to stay for about half of the drink and then take off with the rest to go. But the coffee was so good that it was gone before I knew it… but I wasn’t. So I went back for a second to take on the road. I didn’t regret it!This is deliciously fresh coffee in a beautiful atmosphere. I’ll be going back here when I’m in town again!
I frequent ICR on a bi-weekly basis. I prefer ICR because its a great environment to get some work done. Very friendly customers and staff. Seats about 30 inside and 15 outside. Minimalist decor and furniture curate the space into a comfortable environment. I have had the Nitro Cold Brew, Lattes, Americano, and, most recently, the M.O.A.T.I tried the M.O.A.T based off the recommendation of an Indianapolis Monthly article. I usually do not drink Chai Lattes, but I enjoyed this nutty drink. The cinnamon topping instantly sets the tone for the drink. Powerful and aromatic. The aftertaste of maple syrup is a good touch on the drink as whole. The right amount of sweetness made this drink comforting without feeling the aftermath of sucrose. I would recommend this to people who enjoy Chai Lattes.
Great service and incredible cold brew. Love the vibe!
Great place to work or socialize! Coffee was amazing.
The staff was friendly and very helpful for someone who was new in town. DELICIOUS coffee and nice patio area to sit at. Very pleased
A very comfortable coffee house. I like their comfortable chairs, and their drinks. Employees are welcoming too.
Love this coffeehouse. Very friendly. I love dogs more than I love coffee...and this place celebrates both. Win, win!!!! Love the atmosphere. 👌
Great local coffee spot! Really good roasts and nice place to relax or do some work.
One of the BEST in the metro Indianapolis area!!
They have a great cortado and love their carmel vanilla latte
I come here fairly often and the cappuccinos are pretty good. I am disappointed that you went to paper products. You still make me my coffee and bring it to me... so how does this stop the spread of COVID. If I was worried I wouldn’t come in. So please, go back to regular cups which seem to keep the drink hotter longer! Also, the scones seem to be getting drier and drier.. your bakery supplier needs to step up their game or find a new one.. it’s important to have some delicious goodies available to eat with your coffee! It’s still a cute place to gather with my friend, but the experience could be better. Also, can I please have Stevia? I hate having to use regular sugar. I do really like the employees that work here! 🙌Thanks!
A lot of attention has been put into their branding and decorating. They have industrial seating to make sure you have as little comfort as their coffee has flavor.I wanted to love this place. Lots of pretty photos of their beverages. But when I got in there, the menu was just... nothing.I ordered a cold brew because I was so disoriented at their total lack of options that it seemed like the safest beverage.Dont get the cold brew.I dont know if they under roast all of their beans or just the ones they use for the cold brew they have, literally, on tap. Its painful to drink and they dont leave room for cream or sugar, so youll end up spilling when you try to cram it into your glass.Theyre chatting with each other, so you wont feel comfortable asking any questions.
Such a great cup of coffee in the morning. Line moves quickly, and staff is very friendly! My husband and I came in for a cup to go, and I would love to come back to set up shop for a day and get some work done! The shop is clean and very modern, there’s a coffee bar with about 6 stools, and a multitude of seating! One of the employees mentioned the shop is opening up a dog friendly patio, which will be an absolute blast in the summer!!!
Always love this place....great coffees, great people.
Extremely subtle and sleek vibe in the Caramel area. The (brewed) coffee was superb with subtle acidic flavors without being a biting blonde. Inside the environment is sleek and easy to sit and enjoy the company of other patrons and white noise, but if the weather is nice the patio is wonderful, as the neighborhood is quiet and comfortable.Overall everything here is exactly as a coffee house should be with people, product and atmosphere blending into a perfect experience.
Excellent coffee. Rich, smooth. Not bitter. Perfect otamilk latte
Without a doubt one of the best coffee roasters Ive come across. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere, truly superb coffee, excellent customer service and a nice location. I Highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the ☕ shop atmosphere.
Great coffee & very knowledgeable and friendly baristas - solid coffee experience!
Confortable shop with great coffee, lots of beautiful natural light, comfortable seating!
Not impressed, if you are looking for mediocre coffee, this is it. 😔😖👎
This is an excellent coffee spot with a warm friendly staff and amazing coffee!
I love this place!!! I live downtown but frequently drive up to Carmel just for Indie. After seeing me around for a bit, the baristas have taken the time to get to know me and I feel so welcomed each time I come in. Their classes are also super informative and fun. The quality of the product is also unmatched. Keep it up guys :)
Arguably the best sourcer/roaster in Indiana. The baristas and service team are all exceptional at their jobs. Cool space and design system as well, though its become so popular it can be pretty difficult to grab a spot.
Clean, bright natural light and couple of seats to choose from: metal chair, metal stool and sofa chair.Try their featured drinks if you like lattes.
An uppity coffee shop, 8.00 over priced coffee.
Great ☕️, very cute stuff specially the blonde girl
The coffee is really amazing in my opinion! It really meant A LOT when you came out into the cold rain to tell the Carmel Street Department folks working that youve enjoyed the flowers this year and offer us with some complimentary coffee, thank you!!
Good iced coffee. I wish they would have had cream and sugar out for us to add ourselves instead of adding it for us but the coffee was smooth enough that it wasnt a big deal. Cute place too with good outdoor seating.
Disclaimer: We roast our own coffee. We came here from out of town and ran out of our home roast. We paid a premium price ($18 for a 12 oz.) for baggy tasting coffee. Wont be visiting again. Staff was pleasant however.
I stopped in here yesterday morning for an oat milk latte and scone. They were both excellent, probably the best espresso I’ve had since being back in Indy this year. I highly recommend and will be back!
Cool place the staff is really nice :). We wouldve liked the coffee a little stronger.
Super warm and welcoming, along with quality product, in a relaxing and cozy environment. This is a must stop for any tea/coffee lover; will definitely stop here again soon!
Everyone brought their exceptionally well behaved dogs for a wonderful outdoor experience. Great location and the tea and scones were delicious. Street parking was ample. Choose over a chain shop any day. It took a long time to get my mint tea. I was getting irritated then checked and they were hand pressing the mint. By far the best tea I’ve ever had. I will recommend to everyone!! It’s worth the wait.
Great service and warm staff made our first visit well worth it!
Great place for a delicious and carefully crafted brew. I am looking forward to brewing at home with their beans. Very friendly and happy.
Carmel needed Indie Coffee Roasters. Sure, the city needs more coffee in general, but Carmel struck gold with Indie Coffee. The coffee itself is roasted in-house and is phenomenal. Definitely some of the best in all of Indy. I normally just get a drip coffee, but Ive had just about every coffee on pour over, and Im always disappointed when my cup is finished. The staff, however, is definitely the selling point. They could be serving Folgers, and I still would show up for the hospitality. Everyone at Indie Coffee is so warm and welcoming, and I am so glad to have gotten to know them since theyve been open. The space is also beautiful. Indie Coffee has a very strong, bright, friendly brand that is incorporated throughout every detail of the space. Theres loads of room for seating at tables, the bar, and big comfy chairs. The environment brings in the best of people who are always willing to share a table when the space is packed.I just love it. Everything about it.
Had an early meeting at the Indie Coffee Roasters coffee shop located in Carmel, Indiana and ordered Kombucha with a gluten free granola bar. Both were phenomenal. Kombucha was perfectly balanced and granola bar was the best one I tried in a while.
Great coffee, great people, a great place to hang out for a bit! Would recommend!
Great coffee!!! and very inviting atmosphere. Its always clean and the staff is always friendly.
This place has the best coffee around. Cool atmosphere. Great service. Be careful what time you go if you want to avoid longish lines. Its close to Carmel High School, and is filled with students before school - particularly on their late start days.
Very nice staff, clean space, great coffee
Scrumptious!
They know coffee! The ones we tried were like a wine tasting - but with COFFEE! They roast on Weds and Thurs so we want to go back when the aroma of coffee is in the air. Plenty of seating both indoors and out. The only negative I could find was there wasnt any gluten-free goodies available to go with my coffee. Dont like coffee? They have tea, too! A nice place to start your morning.
Great coffee, nice community coffee house atmosphere with wonderful friendly service. They always have a smile on their faces and seem glad to have you there! Cold brew was delish!
I was in Carmel on a business trip and found them based on convenience and ease of parking. It was pretty busy when I was in, and the staff were very nice. The espresso is very good. There are many coffee bars in the big city where I live, and Indie Coffee Roasters has got to be one of the better of the ones Ive sampled. They genuinely appreciated my patronage.
Friendly baristas, clean bathroom, delicious nitro. Oatmilk vanilla latte was good, but a little weak on the espresso flavor.
This is my favorite coffee shop to go to! I love best of all the atmosphere and the friendliness of everyone that works there. They make this a great place to come by with a friend or by myself to study, and I love that! Definitely drop in and try their biscotti too— delicious!
Lovely store and great coffee! I enjoyed an espresso and muffin on their outdoor patio. Would recommend Indie Coffee Roasters for anyone looking for a food cup of coffee and exceptional service.
Clean coffee fun. I have the espresso and tonic with lime and it was amazing. Some might even say life-changing. Lots of table space inside and out great lighting.
We really love the way they remodeled this place. I wish there was more food than just sweet snacks. My husband liked the coffee, drip brew, but I wasnt as enamored of it.
First time there, had a Cortado, wife had one if their signature hot drinks, and we shared a scone. Service was great, atmosphere was clean, modern, and comfortable. They do have a nice changing table in the restroom as well if you have small children. Coffee menu was good, however very few food options if thats what you are looking for.
Fantastic baristas, coffee is great--Id rate the beans I had in my latte at 7/10 and Im pretty picky. Perfect spot for a professional meet up.
Eh. I tried it. I dont get it. If it is your thing, Im glad you enjoy it, its just not for me. Also, I saw that they dont allow dogs inside and someone brought their dog inside. I saw another review where someone was asked to leave over this? All dogs or no dogs. Make up your mind.
If youre an Australian and in the area desperate for a latte definitely drive a bit out of your way to get here. After 3 weeks it has been the closest weve come to coffee back home. Staff were lovely and it was a reminder of a cafe back home. We came back twice for morning coffees. They even did a babycino for my son which made his day.
This is a great coffee shop to meet up with friends or get some work done. The interior is very bright and fresh feeling. The coffee is pretty good, but there is some room for improvement. The Nitro Cold Brew was really smooth, but I felt it was a little light for my taste and lacked depth in flavor.
Iced latte was pretty good, but a little pricey given the size. I thought I ordered a large (and was charged for one), but was given a 12 once drink to go, which is apparently the large (which is an odd choice). The drink was of a good quality though
I am an avid coffee drinker and am always excited when something new comes around. However I have been time and time again throughly disappointed with Indie Coffee Roasters. Their service is always slow and the coffee tastes very bland. Youre better off just going to the Carmel Library concessions up the street and getting one of their drinks. Theyre service is much better and less expensive for better quality tasting drinks!
Nothing can beat a good ol cup of joe!
Top notch coffee, staff, and more.Seriously... this place continues to blow me away every time I drop in. I am usually a plain coffee guy but I have tried just about everything on the menu and I have yet down.Go here... you will not be let down.
Really well made cappuccino and tasty coffee cake, very friendly crew
Indie Coffee Roasters is great! I am glad this place opened up in Main Street Carmel. The coffee is delicious, the space is roomy and very beautiful. I encourage any commercial chain coffee lover to come check and and support this small business.
Very good coffee; great people!
My husband and I had the pour over Guatemalan and the Kenyan. They were both among the best coffee weve had in a long time. Our favorite was the Guatemalan - reminded us of the amazing Guatemalan coffee we had on our honeymoon in neighboring Belize.
Coffee was great and service was better, will definitely go back
